DQ Grill & Chill Granbury Reviews
We stopped in for a cherry dip cone, hoping they brought back that flavor. They even have a mint cookie crunch dip cone I’ll try next time.
The drive thru service was actually swift this time ! Not happy prices have gone up !
We have been coming here every Sunday for a long time. And I'm not going to lie it usually takes a long time to get our food and all that but my son loves it here and we come every Sunday night. Tonight we showed up and it looks like they got a whole new crew of people. The food came out quick and the staff was real respectful and honestly cool to talk to. Big shout out to Michael most of all he seems like a cool dude and he made the experience here tonight A pleasure. Thanks Michael we'll see you next Sunday
We only got blizzards, so I can't speak for another food. This location was very clean. Staff was friendly when they took our order, but I am glad I paid attention to them setting our order out when it was ready. Nobody said anything and I had to ask if it was ours. Other locations I have been to, they bring your order out to you. Other than that, everything was great.
The last few times we have been were disappointing. My blizzard had no cheesecake pieces and it was the royal new york cheesecake but I did find one small brownie bite? That was unpleasant. And lots of graham cracker crumbs and too much strawberry syrup. They did not turn it upside-down and if they had the runny mess would have fallen out for sure. My prior visit was a similar issue. The inside is in need of some repairs. Looks like they had a ceiling leak a long time ago. Vents look dirty too. Not an open table that was clean upon our prior inside visit.
Food takes too long and comes out soggy, with not lot of ingredients. Staff is really rude in drive, and just laughs all the time, sometimes messing with customers.
The burger was obviously made with either no effort or effort to make it a dry, annoying meal with sauce on only about a dime-sized portion of the bun. The cashier girls were friendly and seemed to be attentive, but the burger sucked.
Very disappointed. The lady that took our order was very nice, friendly and courteous. The restaurant was relatively clean although I always check and looking at the ceilings there were a lot of panels stained from water leaks. I did not enter the bathrooms. The restaurant was very slow, meaning very few people both inside and in the parking lot. I do not know about the drive through window. Even with apparently so few people it took a while to get our order. This is where my rating, particularly as regards the food comes in. I ordered a "Spicy Patty Melt" and onion rings. The patty melt... Texas toast was only ever so slightly "toasted", the bread was soggy, the cheese was not melted, it was a very unsatisfying sandwich. The onion rings were "ok" but not great or even real good, just ok. My complaint, and I guess this has turned into a complaint, is I don't like soggy bread in my burger, and I expect cheese to be melted and meal to be hot. I realize the quality of the food depends on who is in the kitchen and different crews / shifts produce different qualities but again, I was disappointed and have no plans to return.
Food was horrible received fries that were not fully cooked also services was not the best a long with an attitude after telling today night crew (11-02-25) that items were missing and doesn’t help that they don’t keep up with what’s needed for inventory
Night shift bunch of kids not doing anything taking sweet time doing everything 20+ mins for a food & drinks & no one knows how to talk to the customers or anything !!!
Thank you for telling me to pull forward to wait to then give me a cold burger the crumbled up bacon that’s been sitting. I guess the fries were hot. Last time the service and food wasn’t good thought I would give it another shot. After reading the reviews. Looks like cold food and crappy service is a trend.
Dude was emptying trash then we t and got food to hand to a customer and never washed his hands. Took 13 minutes to get a medium hot fudge sundae with extra fudge that had no extra fudge on it
Employees were extremely rude to me this evening. After waiting a very long time in the drive thru to take my order then being asked to pull forward and wait for my food to be delivered to my car, when it was finally delivered there were no napkins and no ketchup. I nicely asked if I could please have both and was brought 1 napkin and 1 ketchup packet. I nicely asked if I could have a couple more packets of ketchup and was brought 1 more (I ordered large fries). I nicely asked again and this time they brought an entire bag of ketchup (like 50) and shoved it through the car door in my face. I was confused and said that I didn't order anything else, I just needed ketchup. The girl laughed and said this is your ketchup... since you asked for more. I got very embarrassed and asked why I was being treated rudely when I simply asked for more ketchup for a large order of fries? She said the shift manager said it would be funny. Took 15 minutes to get food and was treated so rudely, I will never eat there again.
Last night we stopped at the Granbury Dairy Queen. What a horrid idea! First the staff does NOT follow health code at all, constantly wiping their hair and face, and clothing. Ignoring customers waiting and generally acting like they do not care. Management did not care either. The tacos we ordered were not well put together and frankly this location should be health inspected daily! No clean tables, filthy floor and I am glad I avoided the rest rooms! STAY AWAY for your own sake!
If zero stars was an option, you beat believe that’s the review they would’ve gotten. My mother in law walked in to get something to eat and weren’t even acknowledged. We stood at the counter for what felt like ages and again, no one said a word. No one walked over to talk to us. Finally after a long time of waiting, someone acknowledged us by saying “Hi welcome in, we’ll be with you in a moment” we waited even longer and still after all that…no service. I was highly disappointed and will for sure never be going back there ever again. Such terrible horrible service and horrendous staffing.
Came with our service dogs, once for blood sugar and one for autism. Both are well trained dogs and were not free roaming, but working. Immediately employee Ronnie became hostile and told us we needed to leave because of the dogs, and demanded we show vests for them being service dogs. He got manager Carol, who then came out and asked for certificates for the service animals. Both things are not required by the ADA. I kindly showed a snippet of information about my daughter's service dog, whom we got because she has severe autism, anxiety and depression. I definitely will not be returning and will be making more formal complaints about the blatant disrespect and disregard for ADA accessibility and lack of training. I hope the entire interaction is on camera. McDonald's got our large group order instead.
