Agorà Grandate Reviews
Best!!
The place is very cute, with tables both inside and outside. They have various types of cookies, pastries, ice creams, croissants, etc. I ordered a brioche and a cappuccino; the brioche wasn't big... but gigantic. It was so stuffed with pistachio cream that I practically had trouble finishing it. The cappuccino was well-made and nice and light. For €3.50, I'd say the quality/price ratio is unbeatable. It was a great find in Grandate. I'd go back. Recommended.
Good bar, tasty food and coffee! Recommended!
We found this pastry shop by chance because we were staying nearby. We were amazed by the giant, delicious brioches. My kids also loved the cookies. It's a shame we didn't get to try the ice cream... next time! We'll definitely be back. The staff was very friendly, welcoming you with a smile. Large terrace and plenty of tables inside, too. Parking is available.
The very best coffee shop around. The pastries are really super delicious! The staff are friendly and the service quick. There is a lovely outdoor area too. 10 out of 10.
Great homemade ice cream!

We recently discovered a corner of Sicily in Grandate. The croissants are good (other more renowned places use the frozen ones). The overall cleanliness is good. The summer veranda could be closed off so it can be used in the winter as well; there's not much seating inside. If you need breakfast, it's best to arrive early or you risk not finding a table. I have to point out that the service is sometimes a bit slow. Overall, the breakfast was decent.
Nice and quiet place... but as a Sicilian I only found the cannoli good... the granita was a piece of ice and when I asked for the brioche with the tuppo (our typical one) he replied that it was sold out (at 10 in the morning) adding that I could also use empty croissants or biscuits... "it's the same thing anyway" (and this was the owner...) I will not return anymore, in fact I would have liked a spray can to remove at least one leg of the Trinacria from the poster (the one representing Messina)
I've always chosen Agorà for breakfast out and have always been satisfied with their soy cappuccinos and various brioches. So I decided to trust them with a birthday cake for my brother-in-law. A sponge cake with pistachio and hazelnut cream. My partner picked up the cake and told me it cost a whopping €68. A very simple cake with no decorations, and it fell apart, and all the cream leaked out. (I've attached a photo.) You have no idea how embarrassing I was, not to mention paying a fortune. I wonder if the cream was pure Bronte pistachio? But even if it was, it doesn't justify the price.
Three of us went to this bar last weekend. We arrived around 10:00, and our order wasn't taken until 15 minutes later—understandable, considering it was Saturday. From then on, however, an embarrassing series of excuses began to explain why three croissants never arrived. First, the dirty plates that "took time to wash" (in 2025 and without a dishwasher...), then the classic "there are too many people to serve," and finally the mockery: upon our last request, we were told the tray being prepared was for us, but we soon saw it end up at another table. Disorganization can be forgiven, but a lack of sincerity cannot. At 11:15, after about an hour of waiting, I had to go to the counter myself to let them know we were leaving without ever having been served. A bad experience, made even more unpleasant by feeling like we were being mocked.
