Many thanks to Lilli and Antonio for the outstanding service they provide at the IHOP in Grass Valley CA. Their smiles, attitudes, friendliness and service are THE reason we visit here almost every Sunday. Both are exceptional employees that any business would be proud to employ. Gold stars to them both.
Best IHOP experience I've ever had. Service and food were great. My aunt and uncle are regulars.
Patrick was our server and he was awesome. He remembers what we like to order and is very attentive. The food is really good. We eat there often.
Yummy impossible sausages wiTh egg whiT.es, whole grain GluTen Free pancakes and a fruiT cup! Good coffee as well. My friend enjoyed ham and eggs, hashed Browns and whole grain ToasT. We Took Mom a PlaTe of fried shrimp. :)
The best Hop I have ever visited. I ordered the salmon plate and it was so delicious. It came out warm and tasty. My granddaughter had Mac n cheese and fries and she is very hard to please when it comes to food but she loved every bite. She even took a bite from my plate! The server was great (wish I knew her name). She stayed busy....from asking the guests if they needed anything to making sure the restaurant was clean she was amazing. The restaurant smelled clean and fresh which is important.
Well I was pleasantly surprised to return after so many years to find a very clean, efficiently ran, reasonably priced and delicious breakfast. Considering there were only two floor people at the time we were there, things went smoothly. I'll definitely return sooner than later. If you haven't been there in a while, you may want to consider it.
Very clean establishment. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress immediately asked us for our drink order. A couple minutes later, she came back with them and promptly took our order. Food came out quickly, hot and delicious. It was snowing outside and maybe that's why there wasn't a breakfast rush, but there were quite a number of tables occupied. It has a nice atmosphere with the snow right outside the window. One family left before we had finished our meal and I saw our waitress disinfecting their table for the next customers. I was impressed to see them upholding such cleanliness and care in sanitizing--something that has slacked off a bit now that the pandemic appears to be tapering off. With that said, it's a great place for a breakfast stop.
The restaurant was not that busy when we arrived. We were seated and our beverage ☕ was brought promptly to the table. Our food order was taken timely and food came to the table quickly. It was all edible and tasty. The eggs tasted a bit greasy but we're still edible. The cook placed the pancakes on a plate that barely held them, much less room to cut and dip into syrup. Other than that very minor thing everything was fine and I will return.
We usually don't come to IHOP because we have had the worst experiences. We had not been to this establishment before. We were quickly seated by our server. He was very nice and cordial. He got our order and we got it quickly. There wasn't many people in at the time we were there. I got the senior rise and shine. My husband got just and omelette which I guess came with 2 pancakes. My eggs were good. My hash browns were overcooked outside and mushy on the inside. I could make mashed potatoes. Gave my dog the potatoes. Husband said there was Velveeta cheese on his omelette. He doesn't care for fake cheese. He ate it anyway. We took his pancakes home. I was still hungry so I ate the pancakes when we got home. I'm diabetic and that raised my glucose so high I had to take a nap. Yes, I went into a food coma. Recommendation: cook needs to make sure hash browns are cooked all the way through, please use REAL cheese and if there are any other complaints about the food, I would change the ingredients by using real food. Real butter, not margarine. But some butter on the toast for goodness sake. Use real eggs, not the crap in the cartons. The server was very nice. Attentive. Atmosphere was very nice. I did tell the husband if the restaurant is empty, it might be because of the food.
I loved IHOP growing up. My kids liked it. But the prices versus the quality can be a hit or miss depending on what day you go. The staff is really nice. It's always clean. I've never seen many customers there at once. In a way it's nice but I think it may reflect the pricing. Expect to pay $45-50 for two people and add coffee..... it's no longer a guilty pleasure. We can make better food at home at a fraction of that cost. I feel bad saying that because, once again, the staff is really nice.
The food was just as average as you would expect. The ladies room smelled horrid. It was so bad, that another patron propped open the door to air ir out before we left. The service was awkward. Victoria was nearly silent. I asked for boxes. She delivered them without a word a stood there with her hand out while I scraped my leftovers into a box. I even said, "oh, I guess I should hurry. I'm being pressured to finish up." My fiance just gave her a questioning look. She said nothing. Just continued to hold her hand out toward my plate until I was done. Then she left for several minutes. After, I used the restroom a second time, my fiance used the men's room. Then Victoria came back and asked if I would like a bag for our boxes of leftovers. I said, "yes, please." I watched her walk to the supply area behind our row of booths. She flung open the plastic bag and slowly walked over with the bag carefully held open. She approached the table. Stood there for a moment. Then carefully placed the open bag on the table. Mind you, the plastic bags are flimsy. Very thin. It started to droop, so she reopened the bag with both hands and stepped back. She stood there, staring at the bag as I put our two boxes in. It was a very strange experience.
Ordered berry crepes and they sent plain crepes - told me that it was my mistake while ordering. I ordered again to be fair, ordering banana and strawberry crepes. I got soggy crepes with just strawberries. Not good.
I was so disappointed in my recent visit to Grass Valleys ihop. We hadn't been to GV's ihop in 8 years because we moved, but my Husband and I were in neighborhood Wednesday morning and decided to go breakfast. It wasn't very busy when we got there but after our waiter took our order things started to pick up a bit, I looked around, no hostess, no cashier, no bussperson. The 2 waiters were doing everything, except the cooking, there was a cook in the back (*whispering* I'm sorry to say, he isn't every good) Our food came and my Husband and I looked at our food, look at each other and shook our heads. What happened? The pancakes use to soft & fluffy ha! They were far from that, they were flat, crispy and dry, the toppings on the pancakes were sparce, definitely not even close to what the picture looks like. Not only that, our waiter was so busy that the side dish that was supose to come with my meal I didn't get until my husband was finished with his meal. To say I was not happy, is an understatement! All in all, the food was not good, it lacks flavor and culinary technique. Also in my opinion hire some more waiter/ waitresses because I'm so sick of seeing places that are understaffed and over worked employees. Phew! I'm so glad I got that off my chest. So if your craving for some ihop yummiful, tastie, flavorful food with soft & fluffy pancakes, go to Rocklins ihop, I guarantee your taste buds and belly will thank me.
I wanted biscuits and gravy and they have removed it from there menu! So ordered 2 strip of bacon and a side of hash browns. The hash browns cost over 5 bucks and this is what b they brought. Inconceivable! As it was smaller then what was served to my children on there plates. I literally went across the street to Carl's Jr after to get a small breakfast sandwich Everybody else's food was great they said. And panckes deffantlly looked delicious. Service was good. Trying to pay the bill and leave took about 20min at the cashiers kiosk. They seemed to be have some computer problem at the time. I have seen this problem at other visits here aswell
The AP needs work . I've been trying for over an hour and can't order my food
Food was old with freezer burn on my chicken. Onion rings were so old there was no onion inside and they were burnt. Will never go back
Im sorry but the food is just bad. The scrambled eggs seem microwaved and their "breakfast sausage" was cut up hot dogs.. their coffee is terribly watered down and their juices are not freshly made but use a mix. I also somehow walked out of there paying almost $50 for two people. HARD pass.
