1st time here. Stopped in for burgers after our hike & this was definitely an amazing find. Not too busy for a Saturday afternoon. Greeted & service was awesome giving us recommendations. Had the swiss mushroom with grilled onions (sooo melty good), the bacon & bleu, & the smoldering pine along with a side of reg fries & pesto fries (both delicious). Got ranch for dipping & it tasted maybe it had dill in it which was yummy. We had our puppers with us so we sat out on the patio which was dog friendly & they brought out a water bowl (thanks!). On the way out we got a banana shake to go & a doggy bag for leftovers. If i lived in town this place would be my go to favorite but will definitely be back when passing through.

Drove 30 minutes just to try the Nut Burger — and it was absolutely worth it! The burger was incredible from top to bottom, perfectly made and packed with flavor. Their in-house ketchup was fantastic and really took it to the next level. Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had. I’ll gladly make the drive again! 🍔🔥

Seriously!!! Rethink your health program and just go here. Get you some garlic fries and a nut burger. Holy Love of All love in Nevada County resides in this place. Sit outside and dont get hit by a vehicle. Shine in the sun with your best burger and fries. Get habanero sauce wake you the 🎿 up. Home made ketchup and go for gold. 😍

Stopped by here with a friend after a long hike, we were HUNGRY! We were there from 2pm tk 3pm, despite the odd hours to be eating a late lunch the place was still poppin’ with people— and for good reason! The fresh burger did not disappoint. I like how everything seemed to be made to order. The fries were just OK to my personal preferences: I thought that they could have carried more flavor and could have been a little more crispy. Otherwise, they were your generic fries, and it’s hard to go wrong with fries! You have to at least try the house made ketchup. I personally thought it was too vinegar forward, it tasted like it would be better on something like pulled pork instead of as a condiment to fries and a burger. The staff were really kind, and I liked the laidback atmosphere. Will return!

Wow, this was such a cute place! We were passing through Grass Valley, and we wanted milkshakes, so after seeing the reviews, we decided to go here. That was an amazing decision. The menu is unique, and even most of the sauces are house-made. Although we personally didn't try the sauces, they sounded amazing! I got the Garlic and Onion burger, and my friend got the hot dog version of it (I can't remember exactly what it was called). We also got a chocolate and Nutella milkshake, and they were delicious! The outside seating was so cute, perfect for enjoying the cool, sunny weather. There was also a good amount of indoor seating as well. The parking lot was a little small and crowded, but it was still easy to park a large truck. Overall, we would definitely come back here again, and I hope next time I can try the garlic fries and some of the sauces!!

food was excellent though pricey. over $20 for a burger and a shake and burgers don't come with fries. four of us went and all had something different including one friend who doesn't eat meat. everyone was very happy. customer service very pleasant. small space feels a bit crowded and worn.

The Habanero Burger is fantastic. Yes, it is spicy so if you are sensitive to spicy food, definitely try one of there other delicious Burgers. Also, their banana milkshake is great.

We’ve gone to Pine Street Burger several times in the past year. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The burgers and fries are delicious. While I am not a fan of the house ketchup, they are always happy to accommodate with regular ketchup. We love the fact that the music is played at a low volume so you can still enjoy a conversation. Dining area is quaint and relaxing.

The menu had tasty choices for everyone, from carnivores to herbivores! The vegan options looked delicious but we only tried beef burgers. The burgers were great and our kids loved the kids meal. Shake was out of this world. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to keep our children entertained while we waited! We will be back for another milkshake run!!

There are moments in dining when simplicity, executed with confidence, transcends the ordinary. Pine Street Burgers is such a place, unassuming, unpretentious, and yet quietly triumphant. The meal began with garlic bread, golden, crisp-edged, and perfumed with just enough butter and garlic to make restraint impossible. It was not a reinvention of the wheel, but a reminder of why the wheel rolls so well. The garden salad, bright and freshly dressed, offered a welcome pause between indulgences, a crisp counterpoint of greens and tang that whispered of care in even the smallest details. And then, the burger. A basic burger, they call it, though there was nothing basic about it. The cheddar melted into a velvet sheen, the bacon crisp but yielding, and the beef — oh, the beef — seasoned with respect for its own flavor, not buried beneath gimmicks. Each bite was honest, satisfying, and unapologetically delicious. Yet what truly elevated the experience was the service. Mama Stacy greeted me not with rehearsed pleasantries, but with genuine warmth — the kind of welcome that turns a simple meal into a small celebration. Friendly, attentive, and effortlessly kind, they reminded me that hospitality is as much an art as cooking itself. Pine Street Burgers does not shout for attention. It simply cooks with heart, and lets the food speak for itself. And what it says is: come hungry, leave happy, and remember that comfort and craft can share a plate.

Everything is amazing! Gluten-friendly and staff is very well informed and accommodating to allergies and being celiac-safe.

Great burgers! Everything was fresh and piping hot. We even went back the next day for shakes and chili cheese fries. Not recommending the Asian chicken wrap though, as my wife said hers was quite soggy. Everything else was awesome. Pricy, but everything is these days. I could eat that garlic and onion cheeseburger everyday…

What an amazing burger! I had the smoldering pine, it is outstanding. They also do dairy free shakes (made with coconut milk), so my wife had a shake for the first time in years. The people on the counter were cheerful and helpful, and communicated up front about the delay for service (very heavy crowd). Despite the wait, there were clear signals that the staff was hustling and moving orders very quickly. I'm pleased we found this place, we'll be stopping back.

The chicken Caesar wrap is absolutely delicious. A croutons and sauce make my life a splendid and joyous place to live.

I had a bacon cheeseburger and I cannot think of a comparable burger I have ever eaten. This Is the BEST and most delicious cheeseburger I have ever eaten. Fries were perfectly cooked. The Ranch dressing is homemade. Utter perfection.

The best burger I've had in a long time. I not only recommend it for the food but also for the excellent service, we arrived minutes before the kitchen closed and they treated us wonderfully. I recommend the sweet potatoes with garlic.

This is a great burger and hot dog place. Reminds me of a mom and pop store but elevated! Located off of east main street...close to hospital and Sierra college in Grass Valley. Indoor and outdoor seating. Opens at 11am. Gets busy at lunch time! Try the jalapeño burger! Kid and pet friendly.

Delicious burgers! Served piping hot off the grill. Great off the beat and path burger joint. My go to after a long hike or work out! Courteous staff. Clean.

I love the burgers, fries, and shakes. Oddly the ketchup is terrible. It tastes like pasta sauce. Not sure who thought this homemade ketchup is good but it is easily the worst ketchup I ever had. Don’t sit outside. The patio is covered in flies and your food will get swarmed. The employees are very polite and helpful. The restaurant is clean and neat. I would have gave better rating but the ketchup and flies were bad enough I won’t come back.

Visited yesterday based on existing reviews. Two cheeseburgers with grilled onions, one order of fries, one chocolate milkshake and a modest tip, $49. Fries were great. Burger wrappers were soaked with grease as was the the burger/bun. Maybe a bad day on the grill? Staff was awesome. Product was really disappointing. Sorry guys

Ate here for the first time today. I’d heard they have the best burgers in the area, so I was excited to finally try one. I ordered the garlic and onion burger and regular french fries. The burger was ok, but I feel like they overdid it with both the onion and the garlic. I love sautéed onions, but I found myself pulling them off in huge clumps, and there were WHOLE garlic cloves on my burger. I feel like there is a better, slightly more subtle way of doing a garlic and onion burger. I probably should have just ordered the basic burger. The fries were good, but the ketchup was absolutely terrible. I’m all for making your own ketchup to cut out all those ingredients no one can pronounce, but it still has to taste good and this was really bad. I decided to take the remainder of my fries home to eat with real ketchup. I’m disappointed for sure. I doubt I will return.

Really nice customer service. Burgers are awesome. But the garlic fries need a serious over haul. You can't just dump garlic on fries and call it garlic fries. Almost $8 for fries.

Very disappointing, I was so excited, hope if I try again for a better experience. $2 extra for a dry, stale gluten free bun, extremely over cooked dry burger and a very long wait for my order. On the plus side, The Garlic fries and the home made tomato ketchup are delicious

The previous owners really knew how to run an incredible restaurant, sadly since changing ownership what was once a family restaurant now feels like a depressing cash grab. It's truly sad when a Nevada County staple is laid to rest. Time to find a new "Best Burger" peeps. RIP Pine Street. Also my grandfather was a cabbage farmer, and I wear Ed Hardy jorts.

Burger was soggy and flavorless. Garlic fries were soggy and nasty. Prices were high at 20+ for a burger with fries, I would’ve expected much better. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a decent burger.

I’ve gotten their burgers and dogs before and they’re great. This time I ordered an Asian salad with grilled chicken. it was very disappointing. It was billed as having all the following, but mine basically just had Romain Lettuce, carrots and a few water chestnuts .No snow peas, no green onions, One tiny piece of cilantro, Very little cabbage, And the dressing was like flavored water. Very, very thin, The chicken was dry white white chicken breast. . And then they charge you extra for more dressing. When I went up to the counter to verify this was the proper salad, they said yes , All those other things were mixed into the Slaw mix. Hmmmm …..I must’ve had a different slaw mix. Won’t be ordering this here again. .

This place was amazing the first few times i ate here. All of a sudden it sucks and it takes forever. What happened? The food isn’t good now and its not just me. People i ate here with the other day had the exact same reaction. Not coming here anymore. Something changed.
