The Rock Inn Green Valley Reviews
Stayed 1 night at the River Rock Inn and it was great! Found this gem as a stopping point on our way from Zion to Colorado. This place was so cute and the service was incredible. Rooms were very nice and clean. Bed was super comfortable. Fire pit and sitting area outside was very nice! Made to order breakfast was delicious! Would absolutely take a detour to stay at this place again. Great service, very clean, comfortable stay, several food options close by!
Great place for a stop - great friendly welcome Our lovely little room sat on it's own. Good parking, very clean, comfy bed with lots of lovely little extras. Fab freshly cooked breakfast / cereals / fruit. There is a fridge with water and cookies etc you are welcome to help yourself to. Outside seats with a fire. Would I recommend - yes!
5 stars all the way. I’ve been wanting to book a stay here for a long time and couldn’t have been more impressed with this place. First off, the service and hospitality here is second to none. The owners take real pride in this place and it shows. The rooms are quite beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order and was so delicious. Thank you so much Greg & Tracy for your hospitality.
River Rock Inn was such a treat! Upon arrival we walked into the most enchanting and welcoming lobby one could imagine. Our room was simply fabulous! So many thoughtful details from the huge shower with cobble stone floor to the old fashioned Fridgadaire for our drinks, everything was a delight! The breakfast was so delectable and was particularly impressive given the chef was the owner himself! Greg was the consummate host and we so enjoyed our conversation with him. We will be back many, many times in the future.
River Rock Inn is unique and fun. It’s clean, comfortable, and roomy. The decor is super cool western vibe with a lot of special details and personal touches. You can feel the intention and love the owners have put into the resort. The location is conveniently located between national parks, however, the town needs some TLC.
We loved our stay at River Rock Inn. We meant to stay only one night to visit Arches and drive to Salt Lake City in the evening for our flight the next day, but decided to stay another night and drive in the morning. We were accommodated with an early breakfast so we could make it in time for our flight. We loved the rooms and the absolutely delicious breakfast. Greg also gave us good suggestions of places to visit. We hope to come back and visit the area again, and if we do, we will definitely stay at the River Rock Inn again. Lovely place and owners.
Staying the River Rock Inn B&B in Green River, Utah was an excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful. The room was very nice, and beautifully designed, especially the bathroom shower. The extra attention to details was evident and thoughtful. Tracy and Greg and Joe were fantastic hosts. Very personable and helpful. They were above and beyond. The breakfast was amazing, with a nice variety of choices. Highly recommend to visit this wonderful place.

This is my favorite place to stay when traveling through this part of Utah. We found this place right after they opened in 2021, and have been back each year. Greg & Tracy feel so much like family after so many visits. I look forward to seeing them as much as seeing the many parks in the area. We have stayed in a different room each visit and I love each one. The beds are so comfortable after a long day of hiking & the River rock floors in the shower rejuvenate your tired feet. The custom breakfasts are perfectly made to order. Greg is the chef for breakfast. The inn is centrally located between the National Parks, so if you are visiting, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and state parks in the area, this is the place to stay. The fire pit in the evenings is so warm and inviting.
We stayed at the River Rock Inn in Green River for 5 days, and it’s definitely the best place to stay in town. The owners are absolutely wonderful — so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, always happy to share great tips on the best sights and local gems to visit. Each morning starts perfectly with their lovely breakfast room, offering a fantastic selection of fresh breakfast options. It really sets you up for the day ahead. The rooms are a great size with lovely bathrooms and showers. The location is ideal — close to Utah’s incredible national parks and the perfect base for exploring some of the state’s most spectacular attractions. We’ve stayed here before and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend! 🌿
We were absolutely astonished at the quality of this establishment. We were passing through Green River, UT on our way home and chose this family owned Bed n Breakfast. The location is perfect for a visit to Moab. We were shown our room and given a tour of the breakfast area and scheduled a breakfast for the next morning. The room was comfortable and spotless. A very high quality remodel has been done on this building with exceptional craftsmanship. The breakfast was an incredible, made to order full breakfast. This is a spot that we will definitely return to soon.
Fabulous accommodations. Rooms are beautiful with comfy bed and wonderful rain shower, but the best part is the friendly hosts! The service is excellent and the breakfast is incredible. Every morning I tried a different breakfast choice, and every one was delicious. Thanks for making our stay and visit to the National Parks so enjoyable.
This bed and breakfast is a gem! The rooms are beautifully decorated with high quality fixtures and quirky design features. Little extras like bathrobes and the range of beverages offered were very much appreciated. The breakfast is delicious and high quality and your choice is cooked to order while you enjoy a beautifully put together fruit salad. Cereals and yogurt also available and self serve. A range of beverages available, again self serve as are different juices and water. The breakfast room is open all day for you to make drinks, get bottled water and choose from a range of sweets and snacks. The area outside the rooms we didn’t have time to enjoy but there is a range of chairs and sunbeds to relax in and a fire pit at night. This is a family owned and run business and they make you feel welcomed and valued as a guest. I recommend wholeheartedly and would love to return.
We had a wonderful stay at the River Rock Inn - room was cozy and clean, and the huge walk-in shower was fantastic. Greg is a fantastic chef, and greeted us every morning with a delicious breakfast. We will definitely be back!
What a gem! We’ll never stay at a chain hotel in Green River again. What a great place- lovely property, very clean and well appointed rooms, comfortable beds & pillows. At first we didn’t understand why we needed to reserve a specific time for breakfast- until we realized it was made to order and served by the owners. It was delicious! Can’t wait to come back.
Part of me wants to keep this a secret because it is a such a great place, but the other part of me feels compelled because of all the nitpicky negative reviews. We loved that the place was so well lit at night; yes, that means that some light came into the room, but my girlfriend brought her sleep mask and had no issues. Yes, there was some noise from the highway, but nothing that some basic ear plugs couldn’t solve. If noise and light bother you, come prepared; because the positives of this place far outweigh any negatives. From the moment we arrived to check in, we were greeted by a friendly front desk host, and treated very well until we checked out. Breakfast was made to order each morning, and the staggered meal times were thoughtful and made the setting feel intimate and personalized. My girlfriend, who isn’t really a breakfast person, devoured the pancakes. Yes, it may be a bit “far” from Moab; but if you enjoy scenic drives, you’ll enjoy your trip to visit the Parks. Great value, great service, definitely going to find an excuse to stay there again.
Went to Green River area for 3 days of dirt bike riding. This B&B was better than I could have ever asked for. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet. The shower was really nice. The cook-to-order breakfast was also very nice to start my day. The only complaint I have is the ice-buckets probably need to be replaced because when I dumped the melted ice out I noticed they are starting to rust under the grate.
Highly recommend. Stayed in the deluxe king and honestly, it exceeded expectations. The room was spotless, thoughtfully stocked with everything cotton balls, q-tips, robes, Keurig, extra towels, even backup toilet paper just to name a few. The owners were incredibly kind and full of great local tips you can tell they love what they do. We almost stayed at a nice hotel in Moab, but this was infinitely better more personal, more heart.
This place is an oasis in a beautiful but barren landscape! Immediately upon check in this family owned wayside inn presents a warmly homespun kitschy atmosphere, mixing an elegant white baby grand piano with old west photos, Native American art and a western mount overlooking the small foyer. The rooms, comfy campy, are sized just right and sport fun and creative touches… bright red water taps for TP holders, foot massaging pebble tiled floors in the oversized (with seriously HoT water) showers, proper bath towels tied back with knotted ranching ropes! FINALLY a nice “in room” coffee bar actually worth taking in your first cup of the day before heading into the kitchen for a delicious genuine home cooked breakfast! If you’re sick of supporting corporate hotel factories with awful “free” breakfast troughs, drive a little further to rest up at this diamond in the desert!
This was the most incredible stay! It was the perfect home base for our trip to Utah. From the modern spotless room, to the cozy common areas (including outdoor fireplace!), to the most AMAZING breakfast we have ever had each morning, to the very friendly and hospitable inn keepers, we will most certainly be back! Very very pleased!!
What a lovely surprise! When you drive up to the hotel, you can tell it’s clean and renovated, but you have no idea how nicely decorated the rooms are. Very comfy beds, nice bathrooms, and a delicious, homemade breakfast with a personal touch. Owners are very friendly and hospitable. We highly recommend.
We recently stayed at the River Rock Inn for 4 nights and loved everything about the Inn: the room decor, comfortable beds, great sheets and pillows, plenty of towels, ease of checking in and out, the breakfasts made-to-order by the owner/chef (each of the three choices was delicious and beautifully presented. In fact, we had trouble deciding what to order the 4th morning we were there!), the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff. Will definitely stay there again if we're in the area. A gem of a motel in Utah.
Decided to hop on the train and take a trip through the mountains. Picked Green River Utah as the turn around spot and found the River Rock Lodge. Easy walk from Amtrak stop. Absolutely the best pick we could have hoped for. Anyone leaving anything but a top review did not stay here. Super clean and nicely decorated rooms. Great breakfast! Owners story on the place really interesting. Perfect hospitality. Would really enjoy staying here again.
Wonderful gem! The property is beautiful and charming. The room was thoughtfully laid out and the beds were comfortable. Wonderful little decorative touches. Breakfast was lovely and the owner was very accommodating. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again
Exceeded my expectations! Great value for the rates!! New remodel, everything is fresh and the whole property is clean. Easy walk to Rays tavern, grocery store, coffee shop etc. Tracy was very attentive and accommodating during our stay. Breakfast made to order from scratch. 10 out of 10 would recommend and stay again
Such a quaint place!! Comfortable beds and good pillows - with some firmness which most hotels don't have. Beautifully decorated room, we stayed in the cowboy room with a LARGE shower and river rock floor. The breakfast is served to order and its the best French toast I've ever had. The whole place was so clean and the staff so friendly. Such a convenient location to all the parks and airports. Would totally return next year!
This place is great! I'm in my 70s and this was my first Bed and Breakfast stay. The owners bought an abandoned 1950s motel that had sat abandoned for the last fifteen years before they bought it and turned it into a beautiful sanctuary. Sometimes, according to friends, B&Bs sometimes have a doughnut and coffee and call that breakfast. Not River Rock Inn. Breakfasts are made to order. They offer hot breakfasts, cereals, yogurt, coffees, teas, hot chocolate, and fruit. My meal was delicious and satisfying. My room was beautifully remodeled with wood floors, wooden ceilings, and crafted baseboards. The bed was very comfortable. Next time I'm traveling and Green River, Utah is on my way, I'm going to stay at River Rock Inn.

The River Rock Inn in Green River has some appealing qualities — the location is convenient, and the room itself was well-appointed and cute. You can tell the owners have put care into the décor and details, and on first impression it feels like a charming boutique stay. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by one major issue: noise. We were placed in a room directly next to the kitchen and breakfast area, and meal prep started around 5:30 a.m. Every sound carried clearly through the walls — clattering dishes, voices, and breakfast conversations. It made it impossible to sleep past dawn. For a property at this price point, I would expect much better soundproofing and consideration in room placement. While the inn has potential and might offer a pleasant stay in one of the quieter rooms, our visit was far from restful. Because of the early-morning noise and thin walls, we would not stay here again or recommend it.
