Bar Statuto da Laura Gremiasco Reviews
Everything was delicious. We had lunch, and even though there was a celebration going on in the town square, they served us as usual with their trademark professionalism. At the end of the meal, Laura's gelato was second to none. Delicious and always fresh! Reasonably priced, highly recommended!
Great for tourists who like good quality food and drinks :)
great coffee and torta!
We've been to this bar several times for aperitivo. Everything is delicious: the spritz, the wine, the cured meats, the cheeses. It's always a sure thing to find good food. The staff is always busy but very courteous.
Best ICE cream in the region!!
Best ice Cream ever! And very nice people all around
I often find myself needing to escape city life, and what could be better than San Sebastiano Curone? Adding the best gelato makes it even better. Strange flavors, but delicious to say the least. You can choose between sweet and savory options. Good-quality sundaes at a good price, and impeccable service. I ordered the local baci di dama! Expensive but so good! Congratulations! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Gelato SUPER!!!
Welcoming, an excellent café with good cakes and pastries
A quaint 19th-century bar. Excellent pastry shop and café. A quiet spot in a charming square.
In San Sebastiano Curone, in Piazza Roma, there's Bar Statuto. The staff are very friendly, the place is spotlessly clean and efficient, but the most important thing is the cakes. It's not the first time I've been there, and every time, they have a selection of eight or ten cakes, and I can assure you, they're all delicious. You can also dine outside, and the little square with its Art Nouveau Genoese buildings is a sight to behold.
When we pass through the Curone Valley, a stop at this bar is almost a must. Excellent sandwiches and a good selection of sweet and savory treats, aperitifs, traditional desserts, and delicious gelato. The service is attentive and the prices are reasonable. All this is complemented by a must-see piazza, a small village rich in history, and the view of the Curone River flowing through the center of the village. Parking is available everywhere.
I visited Bar Statuto about ten days ago. I should start by saying that, having frequented the area often, it certainly wasn't my first time there. For this reason, I know it's usually very well run in the evenings, and with its artisanal ice cream and cakes, it's definitely recommended. However, the last time I went there at lunchtime, I wasn't at all satisfied: I brought just under ten friends for lunch and we sat on the terrace, and since it's a cold food restaurant, we all ordered a sandwich and a single platter of cured meats and cheeses. Unfortunately, our order arrived 40 minutes late. And in fact, we were the only customers on the terrace; it wasn't exactly crowded. However, the worst part was that after waiting 40 minutes for a sandwich, once I got to the register, I asked for a separate bill, and the cashier took the liberty of complaining about having to issue a separate bill in a truly pissed-off tone. That said, I paid and politely implied that, given the service I'd received, she could at least spare me that attitude. Too bad she instead continued her passive-aggressive defense, claiming there were already other people at the tables on the square side and that we definitely hadn't waited that long. Keeping in mind that you enter through the square, and I'd noticed they had three tables occupied (four people serving tables/kitchen), and that it took them longer to make eight sandwiches with cheese or cured meats than if I'd ordered a risotto (time measured with my phone clock because at a certain point it had become meme to wait that long), this lack of availability really annoyed me.
Very rude. The person who served me was rude, both in their personal approach and in their service, and it's not the first time. I'll go to Statuto Bar again, but I'll ask for someone else to serve coffee and other things. I don't know what to say... I may not be friendly to this person, but I'm a customer, and I don't want to be treated rudely.
I can't rate the products, but I can judge the owner's reliability and professionalism. I never expected such treatment, and I'm only doing so so the same thing doesn't happen to others. We'd been in agreement with the owner for 4-5 months to make our wedding cake for about 130 people (and therefore quite a lot of money for them). We were supposed to meet a month before the wedding date to decide on the type of cake. After sending her a WhatsApp message, which she read but didn't receive a response, we called her a few days later to let her know we were supposed to come taste the products and choose the most appropriate type of cake for our event. She had us come to the pastry shop despite knowing how far we'd have to travel to get there, and only once there, less than a month before the wedding, did the owner say to us, in these exact words: "Guys, I'm exhausted, there are too many of you, I won't make the cake for you." Leaving us to fend for ourselves. Congratulations on your professionalism and reliability.
