Cueva Caffe Guanajuato Reviews
This is a small, peaceful cafe just off beautiful Plazuela Mexiamora where the owner (Carlos, I believe) makes delicious cappuccino and other drinks with great care. He also plays chill, but excellent, music to drink coffee by. I highly recommend it!
Excellent coffee
Very friendly staff and great coffee. 👍
Excellent blend, very good service. Highly recommended
A must see while in Guanajuato. Carlos is a great human being, my husband and I really enjoyed talking to him. The coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing and the service was friendly. We were in Guanajuato for 9 days and had coffee here almost every day, it is that good!!!
Nice cold brew and Americanos. They also sell well-priced coffee beans and grind it fresh if you want to brew Mexican coffee at home. Nice staff 👍
Excellent place for a good craft coffee!
Mazapan coffee, the coffee you didn't know you needed. It was life changing.
I've been here a few times and each experience great! Tasty coffee and tea drinks, well prepared. Although not obvious, they do have a restroom. Can't go wrong here for your coffee or tea drinks. Some tables and chairs to relax and consume. May be a little difficult to find the first time. There seems to be a Cueva Express also on Gmaps, that's NOT the address. Seek, find, enjoy!
The best coffee in Guanajuato
Really nice place to sit down and enjoy some coffee from the more busy centre
Great coffee! As good as Conquistador. A few small tables inside where you can sit and do some work or meet up with a friend. Service is always quick and easy.
Good, fast wifi
How nice it is to find a place cozy and clean with good coffee and wifi! I shall return... tomorrow perhaps?
My first time at this cafe. The coffee was burnt. I don't know if it was an accident that day, but my first experience unfortunately wasn't good.
I was walking by this coffee shop one night when I was invited in by these two musicians to listen to some classical music. I ordered a glass of wine and a muffin and got a very small glass of wine and a small muffin that must have been in the fridge for a long time because it was very cold. The musicians played two songs. Then I got up to leave along with most of the other people in the coffee shop. When I asked for my bill, the owner hesitated for a while as if he was trying to decide how much more to charge the gringo than a normal customer. Fine. My fault for not asking the price before buying. I was charged 100 for the wine, around 70 for the muffin, and then the guy added around 32 pesos for listening to the music (I don't remember the exact amount for the muffin and the cost of listening to 2 songs)! I do remember the total was 192 pesos. What coffee shop charges customers for listening to live music? Maybe this is a thing in Mexico. Fine, but warn customers ahead of time that they need to pay to enter. There was no sign saying it would cost anything to listen to two musicians. No warning. However, I don't think anyone else was charged either - I saw people leave without paying anything. I was staying next door to the coffee shop and had planned to get my coffee there the next day. However, after this odd experience, I just had such a bad feeling about the owner, so I decided not to. It's not the amount that made me angry. It was the blatant scamming or stinginess of the owner. If you happen to walk by and there's music playing, know that you might be charged extra for listening to music.
