Padrino’s Cuban Restaurant Hallandale Beach Reviews
Our local Cuban spot in Hallandale beach, the food here is always good good. Nice crowd for a Sunday evening. Not too long of a wait for a table. Will come back again to try some more dishes
I had an amazing time eating lunch here. The food was great as always. The service was great and I will be back. The quarter chicken is a delightful must have especially for the lunch price. The garlic shrimp is also a favorite. The sauce is addicting. Yum
This was great Cuban food. Ideally I would have had what my wife had but with the yucca instead of the fried plantains but the fried plantain plantains were good and so was my pork. I just thought her beef was better and the separate rice and beans vs. the mixed rice and beens were better. Both entrees were great though! We had the side order of tostones as an appetizer and they were FANTASTIC! Also the bread was superb…perfectly toasted and with garlic. A really great meal!
Absolutely fantastic! After being a bit frustrated with the automatic 20% gratuity at every spot on the beach strip, we ventured a little further out and found this gem. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The restaurant is beautiful and impeccably clean. we were greeted by Elias, he was awesome—genuinely welcoming and super attentive. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the service was 5-star all the way. It's so refreshing to find a place that earns its tip through excellent service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing dining experience near Hallandale Beach.
This was my 3rd time coming everything was absolutely delicious 😋 the atmosphere of the people and the works was on point. As you walk in you could feel like family peace, happy, laughter and everyone having a wonderful time together. I will definitely come back again.
Very nice server. Very good food. I highly recommend.
Emilio was an AMAZING bartender. I sat at the bar and he treated me as soon as I sat down! I spoke with him about drinks and he immediately presented me with a mojito just made!! I came for the Ropa vieja and it was super flavorful. He suggested the white bean soup as well and it was fresh and hot! Loved everything and he made it even more spectacular with his attentive customer service! Would highly recommend!
Best meal we have had in a long time. Our server guided us to order the best food on the menu.
Wonderful experience last night. Very attentive service, made adjustments to our orders on request, food came quick and was delish. Lovely ambiance, good crowd. Will recommend.
Oooo WoW ! Sylvia at the bar ! Awesome beautiful give best costumer service ! Food is amazing 😻❤️🔥🪽 viva 🇨🇺 de 🇨🇦
Last meal visiting Miami from Toronto. We found this restaurant for cuban sandwiches. Friendly front desk gentleman and the lady. Spacious dinning hall and a grand bar. Delicious classic sandwich. Recommended.
Enjoyed some amazing Cuban dishes for lunch! Also the Happy Hour Mojito was delicious!
Pig picking buffet was fantabulous! I’m not sure if they do this every Saturday but they do it often. Fresh, whole pig, cooked well, flavorful, good sides selection, and they tell you to go get more, get more, very gracious hosts. That dessert whatchamacallit was bombastic. Great menu too of many other sides and entrees if piggy is not your style. Good value, check it out.
Wonderful food and very friendly and attentive service. Fabulous grouper ceviche. Nice open atmosphere too. 4.5 stars overall.
Stopped in here for lunch our first night in Hallandale Beach. We was able to order off the lunch menu, which had a nice selection. Seating comfortable, decorated nice and very clean appearing. Staff friendly, service was excellent. We all enjoyed our meal! No complaints here❣️👩🏽🍳💋
First time visit to Miami and I am so glad we found this restaurant! It was a wonderful experience through and through, from the location, the atmosphere, the staff, and the food! Alejandro was our waiter and he was very polite and charming. We couldn’t decide on an appetizer so we got the combination, EVERYTHING was delicious! I got the picadillo, my husband got the bistec de pollo, and my daughter got the arroz de pollo. It was ALL PHENOMENAL. I also tried the CocoLeo draft and my daughter tried one of the limonadas, both were wonderful. If we ever make it back to Miami this is a must-stop!
Wife and I are from out of town. We stopped here for lunch. I ordered the Cubano sandwich. Wife ordered Pan Con Lechon. Holy moly this place did not disappoint. The Pan Con Lechon was amazing. Would certainly eat here again if we happen to be in the area. Also the service was very very good as well!
The experience was amazing, Dayani was our waitress and she gave us the best food recommendation and her service was great, I highly recommend go to a place like Padrino’s and be treated as Dayani did it, I’m excited to come back, I can’t wait to visit the place again. Thanks
Delicious Cuban food served with a very friendly service. We tried so many dishes including the Pork dish, Chicken, Churrasco with many sides including the yuca, sweet plantain, rice (Moros). Desserts: flan, tres leches and also the signature cocktail: traditional mojito. An overall great experience and savory dishes. Our server was very accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed everything…Lots of flavor and generous portions. Most visit if you are in the Hallandale area! Ps. Parking available in the plaza also spaces reserved for clients with disabilities.
Been coming here for years and have only had the upmost best experiences! From the food, to the service and the management!! My go to spot for every party catering order or just a regular weeknight meal Padrinos’s In Hallandale never disappoints Thank you
Padrino's has amazing prices for lunch, and the quality and taste of the food totally matches that! The service is very friendly. Saray was our server and she was very attentive the whole time and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Really nice place to enjoy lunch and spend some time with your loved ones.
Visiting out of town absolutely incredible food and drink! Great prices and portions! Highly recommend!
The best Cuban experience! The food is amazing. Ceviche and Lechon are great. Service is fast and generous.
Great place, very nice atmosphere. Great service. Sat at the bar because it was only me, bartender was great.
We were in town for a conference and looked up this place to try near our hotel. Amazing service and delicious food! We started with Empenadas, which were so good and probably the best I’ve ever had, light and not oily and perfect crisp to meat ratio with this awesome pickle of sorts that complemented it perfectly. We then had the Roja Viejo and the Paella, then followed by the best flan I’ve ever had. Our waitress Junie was so friendly and patient explaining to us the different recommendations. Sangria and classic mojito were both tasty and hit the spot. Would highly recommend this cute family- run spot, super friendly and quaint atmosphere. See u again next time!
Awesome food, great prices and staff was genuinely nice. Can’t wait to come back here.
I would like to try Cuban cuisine. I am not a connoisseur of Latin American cuisine and have never been to Cuba, but I really liked everything. The black beans, yellow rice, sweet onions and peppers, with mahi-mahi were delicious. Great Cuban coffee. Great service. All this, combined with an extremely low price for such a quality, makes this restaurant very attractive for the client, considering that we are talking about Miami, which is not cheap for tourists. Highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful. So authentic. Service, food and drink were superb and will be returning!!!
A great experience to enjoy authentic Cuban cuisine. My first time here and it was perfect. Service was on point and the entrees do not disappoint. A symphony of flavor with good plate presentation. We started with Croquettes de Jamon. Entrees were PALOMILLA • A traditional Cuban marinated minute steak topped with sautéed onions. Served with white rice, black beans, and plantains. LPESCADO A LA PLANCHA • Flounder seasoned with our citrus marinade and grilled with onions. Served with yellow rice and steamed vegetables. Finished it off with cafe con leche and tres leches. How could you not! Enjoy!
My husband & I had dinner at Padrinos while on vacation. I must say the food was tasty and the flank steak was soft. The flan had a perfect texture. Our waitress Silvia was extremely nice. We would definitely visit again and would ask for Silvia to take care of us again! Silvia gets a 5 ⭐️ Thank you!
Some of the best Cuban food I've ever have l had, and probably the best mojito. Only in town for 3 nights but I'll be going back for more. Very family friendly and attentive wait staff.
I enjoyed the palomilla , the steak was super flavorful, super tender, white rice was so good, the beans was yummy! I came here for lunch, they even gave me toasted bread and sweet plantains for a GREAT price and a Perfect portion! I enjoyed it very much.
Everything genius is simple. And everything simple is genius! This place gave me a nearly forgotten feeling—I am exactly where I should be. Latin music, a simple atmosphere, beautiful people around, smiles, and delicious food! Delicious! Delicious! Everything is delicious—the steaks, the sides, the soups, and the coffee! Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy a great meal! And for the atmosphere you create
The food is really really good!! Service has always been good in all the locations (I think we've been to all of them). Definitely a great restaurant. The churrasco, the garlic shrimps, the sandwiches, all great! Only 2 things I would suggest, lower the music (it's always way too loud), and adjust the AC (always way too cold).
Always order my party food here. Pupo does an amazing Ropa Vieja. This place is the place to go for all your catering needs. Or even just a regular night dinner. My family and I have been coming here for years the service, food and employees are top notch every single day!!
I went to Padrino’s Cuban Restaurant in Hallandale Beach and had an amazing meal. I started with the Cuban Combination, which had a little bit of everything all packed with flavor. For the main course, I got the Lechón Asado, and it was perfect tender and juicy. The atmosphere was great, and the service was super friendly. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re craving good Cuban food.
This place was recommended to us by our Uber driver and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was professional and did a great job describing the meals to us and walking us through the menu., as this was our first time having Cuban cuisine. The food came quickly and was well displayed. The prices where excellent and the food was delicious. I’d recommend this place and would gladly visit when I’m in that part of Florida again.
Visiting from North Carolina and wanted to get some Cuban food while in town. I grew up about 1 hours from here so I was excited to get good Florida Cuban food. I was not disappointed! The Cuban sandwich was on point and flavorful. The Ropa Vieja was amazing! Definitely a great place to eat. The portions were plenty full and delicious. I'll be back before I leave.
A Memorable Birthday Celebration at Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine Last night, I celebrated my birthday at Padrino’s Cuban Cuisine in Hallandale, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by family and friends, the restaurant’s warm ambiance set the perfect tone for a joyous occasion. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and made us feel right at home. Their attentive service stood out; every detail was taken care of, ensuring our group was comfortable and happy throughout the evening. The food was exceptional, a true celebration of authentic Cuban flavors. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with freshness. Highlights included the perfectly seasoned ropa vieja, the tender and flavorful lechón asado, and the mouthwatering maduros that were sweet and caramelized to perfection. The generous portions ensured no one left hungry, and the variety on the menu allowed everyone to find something they loved. To top it all off, the dessert selection was divine. Their tres leches cake was the perfect birthday treat, rich, moist, and just sweet enough. Padrino’s provided not just a meal but an experience. The combination of their kind attention and high-quality food made my birthday celebration truly special. I highly recommend this gem to anyone seeking a welcoming atmosphere and incredible Cuban cuisine.
Excellent restaurant in a privileged location. Very clean, organized and we'll decorated as well. Food is good, I enjoyed the buffet which was only 10 dollars per person (excellent price for the variety of dishes). Desserts are not included in the buffet's price so you have to buy them separately but the ones that I chose were delicious. The service is very good and overall was a nice lunch. 5 stars.
First time experinced Cuban cuisine in Florida ! Tbh not bad I liked it ! Their beef empanadas was really good . It was a well organized with big eating area. Server was very polite and professional. He described all the food and recommended all the foods. All the foods was delicious and reasonable. Cuban coffee was amazing with tre leches cake. Recommended !
I recently visited Padrinos in Hallandale Beach, a Cuban restaurant that truly impressed me. The service was exceptional super friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, with authentic Cuban flavors that made each bite a delight. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it! The management Paul kept coming by our table with a smile and made us feel just at home. Will definitely be coming back. Our new favorite restaurant!
We hosted our end of year luncheon here for +90 guests and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service was truly exceptional! They are attentive, organized, and professional throughout. They accommodated our group and space needs perfectly, which made the event feel seamless. We would absolutely host another gathering here again. Highly recommended!
If you’re searching for authentic Cuban flavors with a warm, welcoming vibe, Padrino’s in Fort Lauderdale is a must! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels like family—inviting décor, friendly staff, and the aroma of slow-roasted goodness floating from the kitchen. The food? Absolutely outstanding. The ropa vieja is melt-in-your-mouth tender, the lechón asado bursts with perfectly seasoned flavor, and the maduros (sweet plantains) are the ultimate comfort bite. Pair it with a refreshing mojito or cafecito, and you’ll understand why Padrino’s has such a loyal following.
We hosted our end-of-year company lunch here and had a wonderful experience. The food and service was excellent. The facility is bright, beautifully illuminated, and perfect for group events. Our staff absolutely loved it. Special thanks to Pamela, Beby, and the rest of the team for making everything exceptional! Highly recommended.
Great high quality food. Pork was perfectly cooked, inside & out. Nice place, nice vibe, and spacious inside. And the happy hour specials get you a good amount of good food for the price. It's not only drink specials. Emilio the bartender was super friendly and helpful with the menu.
Stopped in for a takeout order and stayed for a happy hour drink and snack. The tostones were delicious, decor and music very nice, with a friendly staff. Will be back for sure!
From my recent visit to Hollywood, I found a gem of a dining spot - Padrino’s. Visiting not once, but twice, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional quality of the food, coupled with incredibly reasonable prices. The experience was seamless, even when accommodating a large group of 21, showcasing their exemplary service. The staff managed everything flawlessly, including the usually daunting task of splitting the check 21 ways. The mango Caesar salad adorned with perfectly cooked shrimp is a must try. Having ordered this dish twice, I can vouch for both its consistency and quality. The ropa vieja, served in just the right portion size, was bursting with flavor, beautifully complemented with my choice of sides that included soft, buttery yucca and flawlessly cooked sweet plantains. Dessert was no less spectacular, with the flan standing out as a true showstopper. Its texture was impeccably smooth, the flavor beautifully balanced and not overly sweet, topped with a divinely bittersweet caramel. For anyone in Hollywood looking for a meal that promises to be both a delight to the palate and gentle on the wallet, Padrino’s is the place to go. Their ability to handle large groups with ease, consistency in food quality, and outstanding service truly sets them apart.
We had a great meal!! 3 adults, appetizers, drinks, entrees and dessert. The service was fantastic and the recommendations were on point. We had steak, a chicken dish and shrimp dish and all were equally flavorful. The flan for dessert was smooth and delicious!! Definitely recommend.
I ate here for the first time and it was a wonderful experience. Our waitress was so cheerful and welcoming. She explained all the dishes well and suggested great options. We tried platter for starters that included little bit of everything, which tasted great and so fresh. I will come back here. Recommend it 100%.
We chose Padrino's to celebrate our corporate year-end luncheon with 90 guests, and from the very first contact to the conclusion of the event, the experience was excellent. The team welcomed us with impeccable service, always attentive to every detail and ensuring that all our guests felt comfortable and well taken care of. The organization was clear, the atmosphere warm, the food delicious, and everything turned out just as we had imagined. I wholeheartedly recommend this place: they convey trust, professionalism, and a human touch that makes all the difference. Thank you, Pamela, for making it possible!
This may be the best strip mall restaurant i have been to. The food, drinks, and service were very good. Hint: sit outside in one of the three tables to the right. The one next to the other restaurant has music from both so... Anyway the asada pollo was cooked and seasoned nicely but the star of the show was the tostones app. Highly recommended!
My girlfriend and I recently visited Miami and patronized Padrino's for dinner one night. Up until that night, my only exposure to Cuban food was a little place near work (not in Miami) and the Cuban sandwiches I've eaten in Miami. Padrino's, however, took it to a whole different level. I ordered ropa vieja and it was pretty good. The rice and the beans on the side were nice. However, my girlfriend's dinner was amazing! She ordered vaca frita and had a side of yuca. She gave me a taste of both and they were EXCELLENT-- I didn't have either until that night. Serving sizes were generous and prices were reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Service was good, the restaurant looked clean, and the vibe/music was just right. I recommend Padrino's to anyone visiting the Miami area.
Arrived at around seven or 7:30 PM on a Monday evening and was seated immediately. The atmosphere was very ambient. The drinks came out quickly. I got the appetizer with the plantains and black bean pico de gallo, which is fantastic and he must try! I got the ropa vieja which was delicious and the sauce was cooked to perfection! The flan dessert was fantastic also. No complaints about the service either would definitely recommend as I have not had a bad dish from this restaurant as there are a few and I’ve been to the one in Dania before
I had a great experience at Padrino’s Cuban Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and authentically Cuban. The service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. The staff made us feel comfortable and well taken care of without being intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and the portions were generous. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish. It’s definitely a place I would return to, whether for a family meal or to introduce someone to great Cuban cuisine. Highly recommended.
Grill Chicken and French fries.
Came here for dinner while in the area with m a business trip. Overall a great experience with excellent food that was moderately priced. Tasted like homemade with fresh ingredients and nice portions. Also has a shrimp Caesar salad which was amazing.
While on vacation, my husband and I were craving Cuban food and discovered Padrino’s just an 8-minute walk from our condo near N Ocean and Hallandale Blvd. The food was flavorful, and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was incredibly polite and attentive, which made the experience even better. We started with the empanadas ($6) as an appetizer—crispy and delicious. For our entrée, we shared the Paella ($27), which was more than enough for two and came with two sides. Wanting to try something new, we went with the yucca (similar to potatoes) and moros (a savory blend of white rice and beans). They also brought out complimentary bread and butter, which was a nice touch. Bonus: if you scan the QR code and join their VIP rewards program, you’ll receive free mojitos! We’d definitely recommend Padrino’s and would return if we're ever back in the area.
Food was good but not great. The fish and the grilled chicken were cooked properly but just not that interesting. Sides were generous. Meals come with three choices from two kinds of rice, beans, yucca, fries +. Tres leches for dessert was good. Place filled up at late lunch @1:30 pm. Very friendly wait staff. Lunch prices and portions were very fair. Fish and chicken lunches were only $10!
I’ll start by stating I’m not an expert in Cuban food, but I know it’s a favorite when done well. For me, I’ll make a point to come back to Padrinos! So why the four star rating you ask? Our waiter was very nice, but everything moved exceedingly slow. He was managing quiete a lot of tables, but it took a while to get drinks and to order. But the food- worth waiting for. I started with the Cuban espresso martini and that cocktail had me ready to go more than a regular coffee! They poor it from a coffee pot that would make you think it’s going to be hot, but it’s cold! My coworkers got Mojitos and they seemed to be pretty happy with their choice, considering they ordered another round. We started with the the appetizer platter and an order of ceviche. The ceviche was good, but was a little skimpy on the fish. The platter gave you a little taste of everything, which I loved. The plantain chips were so fresh and light, and I’m a sucker for a great empanada. The two starters were the perfect amount to hold us over for a while. For the main course, I ordered the slow cooked pork dish (third from the bottom on the menu). Holy cow it was amazing! It was so soft and tender, I almost thought they had sealed it out for chicken. And I haven’t had flavor that good in any protein in a long time. I could get a container of that and eat it everyday. It came with Yuca that was well seasoned and rice. I HIGHLY recommend this dish. One of my coworkers got the seafood stew and was equally as happy with hers.
Stellar service by Sheila! Very personable, kind and attentive. If we came back, it would be for the food, but more because of the service Sheila provided. The food was great and came out quickly while enjoying our drinks. Providing 4 stars instead of 5 being the center of the Cuban sandwich was a bit cold. Overall, a clean and nice restaurant that we'd be happy to come back to.
We have been to this location many times when we visit south Florida. It’s a hit or miss. Some times they forget to bring food. The drinks are wayyyyy too strong. It tastes as if we are drinking alcohol and not enough of the rest. This time we came right before dinner time. I know I will not be ordering alcohol here again. Or the empanadas. They tasted like they were not fried enough, the dough was flaky. They are supposed to be crunchy. However, the churrasco is always good and their beans are one of my favorites around the area. Coffee is amazing but the flan is too eggy and loaded with sugar, the caramel is too heavy. Almost couldn’t eat it because it was too sweet, not that special. We will come back for the churrasco and rice and beans. For that I would give them a 5 star but unfortunately most of the food and drinks did not meet our expectations this time. The server was nice, but we have been here other times where the server totally forgets to check on us, and another time the server didn’t even bring my food until other people were already half way with their meal.
We enjoyed the food but for the prices they charge, I feel they have subpar service. The waiters didn't know who order what, they expect us to grab the plates and move things around to make space. Cuban food is casual dining and for the prices they charge, they need to improve on the service.
Best drink was the classic mojito and coconut mojito . Also tostones were not crunchy and no salt. Best thing was arroz moro and ropa vieja. Empanadas were not exciting nor something to stand out and remember. Yuca was cooked very well but lacked flavor in mojo. Nice waitresses. And restaurant is very well kept.
Was a regular for many years, everything always excellent. Then moved, but came back. Visited with my daughter on Dec. 22th. Found they had remodeled the place and it was done nicely. The unfortunate issue on this visit was that all our food was on the cold side. The other issue was that American music was playing instead of Cuban Music, something we always enjoyed listening to when dining there (I am American, but lover of older Cuban Music). Mentioned this to the waitress who told us several people had also told her they missed the Cuban music. Cuban restaurant should have Cuban music, part of the ambience.
We haven’t been here in years, we used to love this place, we were in the area, and hungry, so we order to go, I order the ropa vieja, the portion was like a kids meal, sorry, but that’s not how Cubans eat, for $20 was not worth it, I have to admit, it did taste good, but too small a portion, my wife order the grilled chicken sandwich, the caramel onions were too sweet, and no season on the chicken, so, we were disappointed, will not be going back.
Lunch was good, the bread basket was delicious I think I ate 2 on my own. I had the fish plate with Cuban beans yellow rice and plantains. The plate was good and filling to me the sides were better than the fish. The empanadas were really good if you like a nice crunch. The coffee was delicious and our server was great. We got sat down immediately and our wait time for food was short. This was a great spot for a quick bite on our way to the beach.
My family and I were in Hollywood, Fl for a few days. We ate here(Hallandale) location on the first day. Food was good. Just wayyy too salty. The fried bananas were amazing. Service was great, especially our waiter. The coffee I got was tasteful as well. If you can deal with overly salty food, you will love the taste.
Was here 7 years ago, Not good then. Have a friend who wanted to go there. VERY NOISY!! Got seated right away and waited and waited for a server to show up. They were not super busy so no excuse. Had to tell a greeter we were ready to order. ORDERED: Roast pork with rice, beans and plantains $18.50. A poor excuse for Cuban roast pork. Over cooked, dry, not very warm and a small portion. No need to go back.
It is very sad to see what it once was our favorite restaurant in Hallandale going downhill. We had three terrible experiences there in the last 6 months. This place is now a joke compared to what it used to be. After the recent refurbishment, they’ve been trying to look like an upscale snob restaurant, when in fact all they can be is a tacky place, poorly managed, with a very disorganized kitchen and a staff that is incapable to provide a decent service and can’t even understand a simple order. They turned themselves into a shame for the local community, and completely lost their roots as the family owned dining place it used to be. The restaurant used to have a great management and a very efficient and welcoming staff. But now, it's a complete disaster (especially after they refurbished the dining room). Orders are not properly noted, and are subsequently sent incomplete. That's even worse when it's a to-go order and you only realize their mistake once you get back home. When we tell them about their mistakes, their attitude is full of arrogance and lacks any kind of empathy. No apologies at all. They actually try to hold the harmed guests responsible for any mistakes made to the order. It is very clear that the current management is horrible. Staff is undertrained, and there's a great chance they will make huge mistakes to your order, and won't offer a single apology. One example of how badly the current management is, is that they missed the sweet plantains on my last order. When I went back to the restaurant to ask for it, the manager confronted me, saying that I was responsible for checking the order before leaving the restaurant, and she even insinuated that I was trying to cheat on them just to get a side of sweet plantains. That's how they treat their guests nowadays: like banana thieves. That's the level of service of what once was the best local restaurant in Hallandale. Stay out of this filthy place and head to Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine, right across the street, with decent food and much more affordable.
Beware! I found a staple in my plate. I ordered the picadillo, took a bite, and thankfully noticed the metal before swallowing, it was a real scare. The manager was helpful and apologized right away, which I appreciate. I understand accidents can happen, but I wanted to share this experience so they can take extra care in the kitchen moving forward.
Lesson in Missed Leadership at Padrino’s I’ve been coming to Padrino’s for years. It’s one of my go-to spots for a great meal, especially the lamb chops always a solid order. But tonight (Nov 25th, arrived 6:15 PM, left at 6:59 PM) was different. And not in a good way. I watched two lamb chop orders go to other tables that were seated after me. My order never arrived. After politely voicing my concern to my waitress, I waited. Still nothing. I eventually told her I was leaving due to lack of service not something I do lightly. Then I spoke with Paolo, who I was told is the manager. This is where the disappointment deepened. Paolo, when a loyal customer tells you they’ve been waiting for nearly 45 minutes and their high-ticket order hasn’t arrived and they’ve watched others get served first that’s not the moment to shrug or offer a passive “okay, you can go.” That’s the moment to lead. In hospitality, recovery matters more than perfection. A sincere apology, a quick coffee, a gesture of acknowledgment even a simple, “let me make this right” costs nothing and says everything. Instead, I was met with indifference. As someone who’s worked in service myself, I brought it up respectfully, even giving you a chance to handle it better. Unfortunately, that chance was declined too. This review isn’t meant to bash it’s meant to teach. Paolo, if you’re reading this, you had a moment where you could have transformed a bad experience into a loyal customer’s deeper respect. You didn’t take it. And that’s a leadership gap that deserves attention. Padrino’s is a great restaurant. But one person’s attitude at the wrong moment can cost more than a meal it can cost trust. I hope this helps, not hurts. Because I’d love to come back one day and say: they listened. They grew. And they cared. Juan
What can I say after this restaurant ruined three meals we had in the last few months? We actually wanted to give them another chance after each mistake, since we've been their customers for a very long time. But we should have stopped after the first time we felt it was starting to go downhill. First time: November 2025. Our to-go order takes more than 30 minutes to be prepared, while other orders placed after ours are delivered before. By that time, we also noted a slight decline in some of their recipes (especially the chicken soup, which now has more green peppers than anything else). Second time: February 2026. Another to-go order, and this time I make it clear that we wanted NO GREEN PEPPERS in our chicken soup. When we open the soup containers at home, surprise: lots of green peppers on it. I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant to ask them to change it. Third time: February 25th 2026. The worst of all. We ordered one Picadillo and one Palomilla Steak, and asked to change one of the sides of the Picadillo (instead of the sweet plantains, we asked to have an extra side of white rice replacing it). The order was supervised by the manager on site. No space for mistakes. When the got back home with our order, surprise: they sent the sides for the Picadillo as ordered, but they didn't send the sides for the Palomilla Steak. Once again, I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. Instead of apologizing, the manager on site was very rude. She told me they understood we wanted no sides for the Palomilla Steak (which was never mentioned and would be completely nonsense, since all dishes come with two sides, we wouldn't be crazy to order them without any sides). When they brought the order back, another mistake: they still missed the sweet plantains and a side of white rice. I only realized that when I got back to my car. When I returned to the restaurant, I was confronted by the manager, who told me I should have checked my order inside the restaurant. She insinuated that I was hiding the sweet plantains inside my car, which was totally ridiculous. That's their current level of service. Untrained staff, disorganized kitchen, and a terrible management that lacks any notion of customer service.
