Frida's Mexican Restaurant Hamilton Reviews
Excellent enchiladas, good size servings, average pricing.Very friendly and prompt service. Will return!
This is a great TexMex option in Hamilton. Our large party was seated quickly on a Thursday night, we ate and drank well, and the service was quick and friendly. Chicken fajitas, guacamole, and a Modelo was comforting and filling.
I was visiting the area for work and just wanted to order takeout. The server who waited on me was super friendly and fast on her service. Once I got back to my hotel about 15 minutes away, my order was fresh, still warm, and delicious. I ordered the chicken fajitas. They also added a bag of chips and salsa to my order (without charging extra like some places do) and even remembered me requesting extra limes. Super impressed with this little Google find! Hope this place is there for a long time!
If you find yourself in Hamilton, Frida's was a nice surprise on our way back to Dallas from Fredericksburg. Carrie approached us promptly upon getting seated and she was a great blend of friendly and helpful. I had the flautas which came as a pair and they were huge. We also had chicken fajita quesidia which was very flavorful. Definitely great value for what you're spending.
It was great. Friendly atmosphere made our trip less stressful for me. I was worried about my kids getting stressed out due to this being the first time in almost two years since we ate out anywhere. But this place is wonderful.
Excellent classic Tex-Mex fare with an homage to artist Frida Kahlo. The wait staff were also very friendly. I stopped here randomly on a road trip through Hamilton and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. The beef fajita plate was tasty and tender - this place is OG no extra added flavor to suit contemporary fads or whims - just great nostalgic Tex-Mex - in fact my mouth is watering just thinking of the experience.
I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant again and again. The servers were a joy to watch in action. They rock an both deserve raises! And the combo fajitas were delicious!I declare the chef also should be making more $ great dinner, great drinks, and great experience. Thanks everyone involved for a great evening.
The food was great. Service was slow due to lack of staff but we were not in a hurry. The margarita was basically tequila and ice. I asked for extra lime to put in it and they provided it quickly. I will return.
My wife and I stopped here mid afternoon. The place was almost empty. Sarah seated us and received our drink order (water and sweet tea). We took a few minutes then Sarah returned and we ordered a single order of chicken fajitas which we split. Sarah explained which items came with our order (cheese, lettuce, pico, guacamole, sour cream, choice of beans and either flour or corn tortillas). The food arrived promptly and was delicious. We had no problems with our meal but would like to have had more grilled onions and guacamole. Both servings seemed smaller than we expected but the overall meal was plenty of food for both my wife and I. We would definitely go back again. Overall the food was good and Sarah did a wonderful job of checking in on us and taking care of any needs we had.
My first experience: food was excellent. Really delicious flavors. I ordered cheese enchiladas w/chili sauce, rice & crispy taco , half&half tea. All great! Friendly service too. If atmosphere is a thing for you, the building is older and could use some TLC but some.of the best food I've ever eaten comes from the least fancy places. 😋 Don't let that deter you. It's really yummy food!
The food here lacked pizzaz! Hardly any flavor. The salsa had no kick at all. The queso was watery and had no flavor. I had the crispy tacos and beans. The taco meat did not taste good and the beans had a sweet flavor. Also, I do not like tomatoes in my beans. My husband had the beef quesadillas. Again, no flavor. I will say the iced tea was good and we even asked for a tea to go.
So, a group of us riders came to eat lunch there today. We specifically asked is there a lunch menu and waitress pointed it to us. The waitress mentioned that the lunch items come with a drink of choice but no alcohol, no issue we didn't want to drink alcohol. My wife and I ordered the beef fajitas, the waitress asked sizzling dinner, I said no lunch fajitas. So we got our meal, food was bland but we were hungry and wanted to continue our ride. All the parties got their checks and none were lunch menu prices but full price. I argue with the waitress that we specifically pointed at the lunch menu and chose from this side. She took off the drinks but said unfortunately you have to pay for my mistake. BEWARE, ensure and point over and am over for the lunch menu because none of us received lunch meals and all full dinners.
Was overcharged. Paying with card and was charged 74 dollars. I did the math and it should have been closer to 60 dollars. Eventually realized that the woman gave herself a 15 percent tip off my card. Never asked if I wanted to leave a tip. Never going back!!!!
This ppl have not any idea how manage a restaurant. Kitchen ppl need training. Waitres staff please get a customer service classes.
Horrible service. Completely ignored by staff. Had water with no ice. No straws, no napkins. Got my order wrong. The restaurant had 3 tables seated & I was very polite & still treated badly. The food was decent though. But why bother going out to eat if u have to find the waitress & ask for the basics just to be disrespected? She got offended when I asked for to go box/cups & when she brought them and put her butt on my shoulder while placing everything on the table & naming off every item. Learned my lesson about Fridas Mexican restraunt: 😬
Oh man. I was so excited to eat here. Highly disappointed. It was an experience I will not have again. They were running around like crazy, but it wasn't busy. Food got messed up and she was going to give the mistake to the other person who actually ordered it... but that wasn't someone at our table. It was a random person. So I hope they didn't eat a chicken quesdailla yesterday.... cause it was touched and she said she was just going to give it to the person who ordered it. Ugh. Everything was cold and greasy. And the waitress, she was sweet, but also, short with her attitude. So it was a confusing experience.
We ordered takeout. It was awful. Cheese enchiladas…. No topping just sprinkled cheese instead of chili as ordered. Beef enchiladas no topping. Ordered chili and cheese. Sour cream chicken enchiladas had topping. Tacos were soggy but good. Burrito $5 was a lump in a box. I have pics.
