Ramunto's Hanover Reviews
We had a great experience! Best place to bring kids, family, and pre-game pizza!
My family and I LOVE this place, it's our go-to meeting place to have lunch together for our visits. My kids LOVE the garlic knot pizza, us adults enjoy the beer selection that's available!! There is plenty of seating, with large booths to accommodate groups, and a wicked friendly staff (Phil is a wonderful manager, and Isaiah knows us by name after we've made enough trips to meet over the past 3 years).
They generously supplied pizza for a local charity house my wife and I have been staying at while our baby is in the hospital. Amazing people amazing pizza. Please go support them and fill your tummy with delicious food!
They give a free slice of pizza to Appalachian Trail through hikers. Awesome staff and great pizza! My free slice was so good I came back for a whole pie.
Needed some supper Memorial Day Monday on the way home. The place was busy but service was still quick. Had a salad and a pizza, both were excellent. It's some distance off the highway but way worth it, plus you get to see a little of Dartmouth Collage.
The only pizza you’ll ever need to order here is the NY Style Garlic Knot Pizza. That’s it—trust me! This masterpiece is packed with flavor, perfectly baked, and absolutely addictive. If you’re a fan of garlic knots and pizza, this combines the best of both worlds in one epic creation. The restaurant is a great spot for pick-up or takeout. While the location itself is a bit small and can get quite loud during busy times, the friendly staff and consistently delicious food make it worth it. If you’re in the area and craving something unforgettable, this is the place to go. Once you’ve tried that NY Style Garlic Knot Pizza, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!
We placed a to go order at the restaurant, it was clean, nicely decorated, and had a lot of indoor and outdoor seating options. We ordered a brick sized “little Hanover” . It is enough for two people to tackle as they are thin pizzas. The light tomato, cheese, and ham combined perfectly on the warm dough. Well made and came out within 10 minutes. Would recommend !
Calm and quiet at 430pm, I didn't have to wait at all. Half of the prepared pizzas are vegetarian. The recommendation from the staff was for two unorthodox slices, the Buffalo chicken with blue cheese sauce, and the Thai sweet chili with pepperoni, bacon, and chicken. The total for two slices and a drink was $11, which is really cheap to me. But the quality! The crust is crunchy on the bottom and chewy on top, absolutely perfect. The blue cheese sauce with the Buffalo chicken pieces combine perfectly to have a hot wing experience that isn't greasy and messy. The sweet chili sauce is very sweet, and it is exceptional. Save that piece for last, as a nod to dessert. ❤️
Sausage, pepper roll was excellent. The meat calxone was good, but not hot enough and couldn't be reheated because of health regulations (will have to take home). Counter help was very helpful and friendly.
Big slices! I came in 40 minutes before closing and there was a lot of spraying and wiping and sweeping which made eating inside less than ideal due to the chemical smells and dust. Next time I'll take it to go, eat outside, or come in sooner. The pizza is VERY good though. I had the Vegi and the "Happy Jack".
I got the buffalo chicken calzone and the meat calzone. The buff chicken was amazing, but I found the meat one a little underwhelming. I think it needed more meatball and less pepperoni. Service sucked. I ordered ahead online but they didn't fire it up until you get there. As a result, I had to wait almost half an hour to get my food. It was piping hot -- which I appreciate -- but what is the point of ordering ahead if you have to wait for them to start preparing it only once you get there?
We went here for lunch today - had the garlic knots and a few slices of pizza. I probably had too much expectation for the place. The garlic knots were oily and didn't seem baked all that well. The various pizza slices (we tried the veggie, bianca, margherita and the mushroom) were basically bland (the veggie wasn't even properly salted) and hardly had any toppings. It was all just blah. Probably would not go here again.
So since CNA‘s sadly closed, this is the only real option in town other than the disgusting cardboard that is Domino’s. I’ve actually been pretty pleased with the New York style pizza. The last few times I’ve ordered. Even on the night of the tree lighting ceremony when Hanover was far more crowded than I’ve ever seen it, and the restaurant was packed, you managed to produce a totally acceptable, New York style pizza. Last night, however, when there was literally nobody at all in the restaurant, the undercooked dough ball that you gave us made the entire family sick! It was disgusting. To the point of caddying G.I. problems. The crust was ridiculously thick and doughy. You’re damn lucky that nobody went to the emergency room because I’d say there was still live yeast in the dough. Consistency that is this off. It’s completely unacceptable. We will never risk food poisoning again.
Won’t be going back. All the teenage employees look absolutely miserable every time I’m there. At best, the adult staff seems polite to them, not always. Super icky vibes. No reason for 16 year olds to be so miserable at work. Jewel of India is my new go to.
Order pickup was supposed to be at 6:10. 45 minutes later I took possession of my order. Did they apologize? No. Did they explain? No. Did they offer us a discount, coupon, refund? No. Will I go back? No.
Ask for the dressing on the side so they give me the smallest container they have asked for more wanted to charge me. Top shelf salad, should’ve went to Circle K by the looks of this salad. They could have cut the lettuce up and a half slice of tomato and the chicken should have been put in the trash, Good place to skip if you want to good food
