Tuk Tuk Thai Cuisine Hanover Reviews
If you’re looking for authentic Thai food, this is the place. I had the Crispy Chicken with sweet and sour sauce and was blown away. It tasted exactly like what I’d get in Thailand. Perfectly cooked, crispy outside, juicy inside, and full of flavor. Every dish I tried was consistently excellent. Definitely a must-try!!
Food was excellent. I was very impressed with the avocado curry. Wow! My husband had pad Thai, which he said was outstanding. People have commented on the environment. We found it to be a very typical college-town environment. It is a clean restaurant (very important!) and casual. Our wait person was friendly and prompt. I think it was on the pricey side but it was so good I kept the rating at five stars. We plan to go back.
I am sure why there are so many negative reviews! My partner and I loved this place. The two ladies working were so nice and the food came out quick. We got the crispy duck which was SO GOOD and crispy. Definitely recommend getting that dish, one of the best duck dishes i have had. We also got the mango sticky rice…… I will say it was a smaller portion, but one of the best I have ever had.
A little hidden but what wow such a cute and unique style restaurant. Very clean and food is and has always been hot, fresh, and never a long wait unless they are slammed. Even then I have seen staff still be more than polite and professional. I never give up a chance to dine in, but we all love to stay home in our jammies with our families eating great food at home. The delivery times lately have been impeccable!! The delivery drivers arrive with a smile and are very polite. All in All if your in the area, traveling the area, or want to try something new. I will continue my nights dining in or out at my leisure and most definitely will continue to tell family and friends that they can't come to this area and not try Tuk Tuk Cuisine in Hanover, NH Way to Go Tuk Tuk!!!! Keep up the great service and cooking some mind blowing ethnic foods 👍💕💯
I’m Thai and recently moved here, and I have to say this restaurant is amazing! If anyone is looking for authentic Thai food that really tastes like home, I highly recommend this place. The quality is great, everything is clean and delicious, and there’s such a wide variety of dishes. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that wasn’t tasty
Green curry was pretty good. Good curry base with coconut flavor and the chicken and vegetables were not overcooked. The interesting thing was the eggplant preparation, which was in a long section. I think it would have been better as smaller pieces. Service is very friendly and attentive as well. The only thing is the ceiling is very low so watch your head. Also, the restaurant is downstairs!
Great hidden Thai restaurant. The food is amazing. I got crispy duck basil which was delicious and crispy. Even tho they were pretty busy food came up pretty quick so that was a plus Sticky rice and mango always hit the spot for me so I recommend it if you never had it before. The restaurant is located underground so it can feel a bit crammed. Only reason why I have 4 stars on it. Interior design was cute and nicely set up. Overall definitely recommend it if you are in the mood for some Thai food
I must admit, upon seeing the exterior, we were unsure about what to expect from our dining experience. However, upon entering the main part of the establishment, we were greeted by a fantastic atmosphere and a bustling crowd—promising signs for a Wednesday evening. The menu offered a diverse range of delicious options, and everything we selected exceeded our expectations in taste. The service was prompt, and the portion sizes were perfect for our liking.
My favorite restaurant in Hanover! I've been eating here for 2 years, and the staff, service, and taste have been consistently amazing. The food is delicious, comes out really fast, and is well priced. Some favorites include the Pad Kee Mao, Red Curry, and Basil Fried Rice. This place isn't just a great food place 'for Hanover' - it's a great place period! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal in or near the Hanover area!
It is authentic Thai food. The soups were so good. Things get very spicy as well, I like it. The service was responsive. The only downside is the price, it is very expensive.
The food was amazing and spot on for Thai food. Nice and spicy just the way I like it. I ordered the sampler platter. Everything was delicious including the sauces. The problem I have is that my entrée came out of the same time as my appetizer. The only problem I really have with the Customer Service. I ordered my food at 8:30 PM and I felt rushed the entire time. The young man with longer dark hair that was my server seemed like he was on Adderall or cocaine he just had way too much energy and kept sniffing and wiping his nose while talking very loud and acting very strange and he was complaining to the other server about old people not tipping them well how he needed his tips from last week. It left a sour taste in my mouth.
Decent thai food. We got the Tom Kha, with chicken, which was surprisingly good. It's wasn't heavy on the coconut or cilantro and was just a simple soup. We also got the Cashew Delight, which wasn't bad, it's just a completely vegetable dish, luckily we got tofu with it, but as a "main" dish it's way too expensive for what you get (side note we got like 4 cashews in it). Lastly we got the Pad Woon Sen, with shrimp. This was basically pad thai with glass noodles instead of traditional.
The food is very good. But, portions are not. Almost every other Thai place I’ve been been too has larger portions. Usually you can get Thai food and have a decent amount of leftovers, but not this place. The prices are basically $17-20 per item, and that’s not bad per se but the portions aren’t worth it. Maybe if they increased the portions even 10% I could rate it higher.
The prices are high for such small portions. I highly recommend the spicy udon noodles. They were the best thing I tried. The Tom yum and curry’s were good. The pad kee mao was average and the Thai basil rice wasn’t worth it. The curry’s came with less curry and more meat which wasn’t idea for eating with rice.
If you’re looking for an authentic Thai dining experience, this may not be the best option. The shrimp Pad Thai was much sweeter than expected and lacked some key ingredients like egg and bean sprouts. The crispy chicken didn’t seem very fresh, and the Thai tea was overwhelmingly sweet with little actual flavor. Service could also be improved. The server didn’t greet us upon arrival and seemed a bit disengaged throughout our visit. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, we were seated very close to the only other guests, which made for an unintentionally shared dining experience. The atmosphere was not particularly inviting, as the restaurant is located in a basement with a noticeable damp smell. Additionally, the signage throughout the space gave off a less-than-welcoming tone. Last note, the suggested tips amount on their bill was calculated on the whole bill which means you’re paying tips for the tax as well. Overall, there’s room for improvement in both food quality and service. I hope to see some positive changes in the future.
The portion size has gotten insanely small! I couldn’t even see the noodles. Been here before portion sizes used to be wayyy better and when I asked the same - got told no they have always been the same. Insane to think anyone would want to come back when the portion sizes are this small. For 20 dollars??
It is outrageous that a restaurant can get away with charging $8.00 extra for crispy chicken. I don't want to hear any excuses about a poor economy or inflation, I could get my dog to make me crispy chicken for less than $8. Not to mention the portion sizes are already diabolically small. If you respect money, I would definitely avoid eating at this establishment.
