It’s not every day you write a review about a sandwich—and the person who made it—but some moments in life demand recognition. Most reviews come from disappointment, not delight. But this? This was different. This was a showcase of culinary precision, unexpected artistry, and genuine pride in craft. At a Jersey Mike’s nestled somewhere between Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and Hawthorne, a young woman named Daniela made what I can only describe as a perfect Italian sub. A true 10 out of 10. That kind of rating isn’t handed out lightly—especially in the world of sandwiches. But what she created wasn’t just good. It was layered, balanced, flavorful, and perfectly built from top to bottom. It’s rare, almost unheard of, to find that kind of harmony in something so simple and yet so easy to get wrong. I don’t know if Daniela realizes just how talented she is, or if she’s ever considered herself an artist in the food world—but she should. And the team she works with? Equally incredible. Every single staff member was kind, attentive, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. As I sat and enjoyed my absurdly large sandwich, I could feel the positive energy in the room. They like what they do. They like each other. And it shows. I wish I lived closer so I could come every day. Though maybe next time I’ll order a smaller size.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Owen for going above and beyond for My well being while preparing My Sandwich. I can not have contact with beef and I explain that to Owen and He happily wiped down the meat slicer and counter area to help keep Me safe. He was so understanding, friendly, positive, communicative and smiled the entire time. Thanks so much for respecting My food allergy, You are absolutely the Best!!

Got a wrap was amazing they didn't miss a single request came out great! Service was actually great by the staff I don't know how they pull it off as they seem to multi-task at the speed of light. Great atmosphere. First place that was fast food they actually check on you to make sure that you're ok. Means alot. Cheers to Ashley, Angie and the Hawthorne team.

Ate here earlier this week (I go roughly once a week to this location) and forgot to post a review. All of the people at this store are excellent. Service is quick, employees are nice, and the food is consistently delicious. This particular time I got a #56 and it exceeded my expectations. Just wanted to say to keep doing what you are doing! I will definitely be back.

Came in for an early lunch after hitting the bank and a few other errands. Got a mini and it was more than enough. Had the Italian sub with added turkey and of course had it mikes way. The staff was super friendly and made quick work of getting their line down. My sandwich was fresh and hit the spot. They have a really good assortment of chips and cookies.

I usually prefer Jersey Mikes's subs but this time was unusual!! Didn't ask if we are a member, which we are. Put out subs in the carry out bag, no Napkins. If you've had their subs, those are needed Granted, won't be back there in the future but please be aware. Thx

I understand it’s hard for fast food workers, but now I know that it’s better to order here instead of online because they won’t focus on online orders.

After waiting 30 minutes they forgot about the sandwiches manager didn’t apologize or try to get the sandwiches made instead he gave me refund and passed the receipt to me with stale face expression. I like the food but the service is terrible.

Had an online order that was supposed to be ready but when I got to the store they haven’t even started it. More customers came in so they dealt with them but that just pushed my order further back. I understand it’s hard for fast food workers, but now I know that it’s better to order here instead of online because they won’t focus on online orders.

I ordered extra meat. I don’t think this looks like extra meat. Seems to only happen when I order online or with the app. When ordering in person it come out correctly. When I got back to the office I discovered the mistake. I didn’t have time to go back.
