I was visiting from South Carolina and this was probably the best Cracker Barrel that I have ever eaten at. My wife ordered the shrimp along with fries, hush puppies and okra. I had the seasoned rainbow trout with pinto beans and fried apples. I asked our waitress to specify " light on the seasoning" because some Cracker Barrel's think the more seasoning you put on the trout the better it tastes. It was served just right for me and tasted great. The cornbread was just right, however the biscuits were hard and not cooked right. That was the only negative thing about the food. The store was organized and decorated very beautiful. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and the waitress was great. This is definitely one of the best Cracker Barrel's to visit.

Love, love Cracker Barrel! It's a treat to come here, love browsing the store and it's always clean. Today I had a combo, beef tips, chicken strips and fried shrimp, so good! My favorite is Saturday's Country Fried Pork Chops, the best I've ever had! Lilly was my server, she was the best, very attentive and friendly as can be.

New layout CBOCK on I-35 Waco. Conveniently located half way to your destination. Very clean. Staff is well trained, friendly and polite. Food is as good as ever. Tea keeps pouring. Store is stocked with lots of goodies. Clothing, souvenirs, collectibles, fragrances and soaps, greeting and birthday cards, music, candies, lots of memories. Facilities are kept clean, fresh, stocked. You get that feeling like you're visiting grandma's. I think she's somewhere in the kitchen. Enjoy.

The best breakfast I’ve had in a while. I took the Grandma’s special and it was just a great experience. I had their biscuit with different items to go with. Got to try their maple syrup and the meat and hash browns were just too good. Fresh, crisp and went very well with the hot sauce. My server, I think her name is Madeleine, was great! We had a great conversation and she attended to everything I needed, even asking me if I needed anything for to go like my coffee and the water (this was after the bill btw). It was genuine and very kind! Other than that great atmosphere and would definitely visit again!

Disappointed that the serving size keep getting smaller. The hash browns on my plate were about the size of a golf ball. Pancakes used to fill the plate. This time they only filled the plate as one was set beside the other. The pancakes tasted like they had been cooked on a grill contaminated with other foods. Never used to not leave with leftovers. Not this time.

My sister and I came here for lunch. Was impressed with the portions. She had fried chicken with corn bread stuffing mashed potatoes and mac& cheese with a sweet tea. wait time sucks. This location needs to be twice the seating capacity. Cracker Barrel is going down hill over the last few years. Even before Covid.

Food just wasn't as good as it usually is. The biscuits were old and hard and had to ask for fresh ones. Food was just ok. Probably won't eat at the one in Hewitt, Tx.

Got the old timer breakfast. Just mid. I got the regular hasbrowns as my side dish and was charged $1 more because they were not the loaded hash browns. They were not very good. No flavor and hard. Bacon was good. Waitress was good.

Let me start by saying that Cracker Barrel is my favorite restaurant & my local store is the best there is. But my family & I visited this location after spending a day in Waco & it was such a disappointment. I ordered a chicken salad & when the waitress brought our food to the table, my salad had a big long hair sitting right on top of the salad & in the ranch dressing. I handed my plate back to the waitress & she said she would have a new salad right out. She brought out the same salad, I know this because one of the boiled eggs on the plate were flipped over & the other wasn’t flipped over, and when she brought the plate back, the eggs hadn’t moved. So she just took the hair off & brought me back the same salad. Grossed me out so bad, I didn’t even eat it. My husbands carrots were mushy on the outside & hard on the inside, and my nieces burger patty was uncooked inside. The waitress seemed a little rude after the hair on my plate & she just brought our check without checking on us through the meal. Terrible service from this location. But I’ll never hold it against Cracker Barrel because my local store is amazing every single time.

First let me say I've come to this Cracker Barrel in Hewitt on many occasions before, with no problem, but today's visit was embarrassing for this restaurant. When I received my food, which was the Grandma's Sampler, it literally look like a 3 yr old fixed it. The shock on my face towards the waiter Erik, was very upsetting. The breakfast cost somewhere around $10-12, I believe. What I got looked like it cost $2.75. I told the manager TJ, that I was very disappointed. He did offer to remake the food, but at that point, if I as the customer couldn't depend on my breakfast looking like it should be illustrated from the menu, then why would I trust the restaurant to do a better job this time around?? I told the manager no thank you. I would pay for my tea but instead he offered to comp me for the " disaster of a breakfast." I'm shaking my head because I've never seen anything so pathetic. Cracker Barrel should not send out food to its customers that look distasteful and unappealing. Now update...I went to the Cracker Barrel in Bellmeade and there was a huge difference. The food was fresh and hot and just as important, it's presentation was far better. See the added picture.
