Rosa Maria's Highland Reviews
Have you tried their salsa? One of the best for local Mexican restaurants. I usually get a BRC burrito with lettuce and tomato added and it doesn't disappoint. Also like that they serve diet Dr pepper there. Today I was able to get in and out in a matter of minutes.
Great Mexican food! Tasty, flavourful and plentiful servings. I have NEVER left this place "wanting" for more. I have, however, left many times with a To-Go container. Reasonably priced and delicious I ALWAYS look forward to Rosa Maria's!
The best burritos in so. Cal. Their garbage burrito is out of this world Also their breakfast burrito will get your day off to a good start. It's kind of difficult to see from the road, but there is always a line. The best for us is to call, put in our order, then just go pick it up. Their bean, cheese and meat burrito freezes well. We always buy some to freeze and some to eat.
I get food here every Sunday and I haven't found anything that compares. Remember those huge burritos back in the day filled with meat? Get an XL and relive it, wow! Only thing you'll eat for the rest of the day... Great staff, super friendly and fairly fast, even when they're super busy.😎
One of my top 5 restaurants in Southern California. Ive been coming here every year since I moved here 11 years ago!
This is 1 place I Love eating, their restaurant is always clean, the employee go way out of their way to help you, if ur not satisfied with ur order, they will fix ur order ASAP. I had a burrito, it was The Bomb. But, don't take my word for it, try it yourself. You won't regret it.
They have the BEST BURRITO'S and RELLENOS on EARTH ~ bar none!! I just wish they'd open a place up here on the High Desert cuz it's a long drive down the hill for take-out. Then we could indulge weekly instead of monthly!☆! Aahhh ~ that would be heaven!♡!
I use to live up on 40th St where the first Rosa Maria’s was up that way! Now we live in Highland was so excited when they opened the Highland Rosa Maria’s! Staff is very friendly! Our family loves Rosa Maria’s they have the best Mexican food ever! Love their garbage burritos! Thank you Rosa Maria! 🤗❤️
love this place for 50 years. best Chile Relleno in the world. chunks of pork w awesome relleno ..yum
Great food loving customer service
I ordered an extra large MBRC burrito and a large fountain drink. The burrito did not disappoint, the tortilla was above average, and seemed homemade. My order was ready in minutes. The way the cheese and pork dance together, it's a thing of beauty. The coca cola I got from the fountain was nothing special, it was by no means subpar, and free refills are available. Thank you Rosa, for your tasty gifts to humankind.
I've only ever had their taquitos and the chili relleno burrito. The burrito is the bomb! Taquitos and guacamole "sauce" not so much. But didn't appreciate being accused of coming in "again and again" with my empty drink cup trying to get a free refill! That was just rude. And totally untrue, BTW!
In this day and time fast food and restaurant food is overpriced and terrible. Rosa Maria's has always been so good for years and is now. The prices have gone up a little but another for money. I can always know it will always be good and that is worth it's weight in gold ! I love them.
The fresh daily made tortillas are completely delicious! Additionally, the salsa is a perfect blend of spice and flavor. The food is always incredible and the garbage burrito is legendary!
Omg this place is delicious! I have yet to eat anything here I don't like. Their red salsa is much better than their green salsa. I love their chips! Also, the pricing is pretty good for what you get!
The best spot for Mexican food hands down
Their food is authentic and outstanding
My all time favorite burritos are from here. I fell in love with them at the small location on 40th in San Bernardino. This Highland location has a lot more tables and room. it is usually busy (Good for them) but the line and service is very quick. The tortilla's are the best!!! I always get Chile Relleno and they are huge and I can normally make two meals out of one. The hot sauce is a must!
My family has been coming to Rosa Maria's since before I was born. Delicioua and over the multiple decade of my life there has never been a change or drop in quality of food. Having lived all over Californian and Arizona they have the best burritos anywhere.
They are the fastest ever you order and 5 minutes later your order is ready sometimes sooner ,your in and out
I ordered a garbage burrito and it was wonderful!!! I had left my home early in the day and had not taken the time to bring a snack so needless to say I was hungry. I sat in my hot car and ate it. The restaurant was clean and not many people were there but I decided to eat in my hot car. I was more than an hour from home and I wanted to eat. Thanks Rosa Maria #2 a meal well done.
Great food, great people, nice atmosphere and of his place won't break the bank. I mean what's not to like. I learned a new term for the menu Extra Large burrito will increase the size by thirty percent. That's right it's my new standard. Without further ado Your welcome.
Wow! We were in the area and lucked out finding this place. Delicious food, super fresh, and friendly staff. We ordered tacos and enchiladas. Their chips are so of the best I’ve ever had. Service was very fast. We’ll be back for sure.
It's good food I usually love the bean and cheese burritos their always huge and beans poor out the bottom lol so this time I went and asked for easy bean and cheese got all the way home and their was Maybe a quarter size on beans in it it was all cheese which made me sick got greasy all the cheese but yes I asked easy bean thinking I would at least get beans in every bite but It was horrible either to much beans it spills out or east bean and you get nothing Maybe they should figure out the portion a little better at least half the amount in easy bean from normally ...I couldn't even go back I was tired from work Maybe next time it be perfect
Out of all of their locations this one is my favourite! They have a decent size dining room and seem to handle their steady stream of customers efficiently. They have a two register setup so they take your order faster than some of their other locations. I typically get a garbage burrito, with no beans or rice, and this location still gives me a decent size one. I'm a beans and rice on the side kind of person since I regard them as filler. Their prices are still reasonable which is a major plus. Everything is clean and organised and they have two well maintained restrooms. They ask you how many hot sauce you want when they take your order so it's already in there when you get your food. Overall, I feel that it's a more consistent experience.
I got the XL Garbage burrito. Had part of it for dinner last night and am having the rest for lunch! Very good!! I ordered the XL Chile Rellano burrito for my husband. He liked it, but we tried each other's and he liked mine a lot-in fact he said he's getting that next time. The burritos are exceptional for one because of the ingredients inside, but really because the tortillas are made there! Makes a huge difference!!!
I always get the giant chili relleno garbage burrito and it's two meals for me. I am never disappointed. They're quick friendly and affordable.
I have been coming to Rosa Maria's since I was a kid. Their tortillas are amazing, as are their beans. I always get a bean and cheese burrito with verde sauce and its always good. I love that you can phone in your order so it's ready for pick up when you get there!
The garbage burrito is delicious. The Verde burrito is delicious. Salsa and chips were good.they serve Coke so that's FANTASTIC. THE people were all nice. It was clean. The service was excellent, even when there was 10 people in line they took care of them fast.the place fills up fast just before lunchtime so go early. We Will Go Again
Best Mexican in SOCAL. Considering $ and portions, it’s a FAVORITE of myself and my family for decades now. My uncle was even the first ever customer at this location and his dollar is still up on their wall! I am astounded and offended at the fake customers reporting of chile relleno being bad for having meat(??), being overcharged, or having bad service?? Never in our decades of attendance at here or any locations has this occurred. People certainly love to complain, and not read the fine print. If you don’t know what authentic Mexican food is then just say it? This is a family run business ran by a wonderful Mexican family. Eat at Rosas! Their garbage burritos are the best!
I've been coming here since I was a kid and trust when I say the service is fast enough from the kitchen to your car. get a small bean and cheese and chilli Verde with rice you won't regret it
Great food. Must try if you never been. 5 Stars!
Rosa Maria's is delicious. I've been going there my whole life
Very nice place to eat Very friendly Great food..
Great food and reasonable prices. My favorite Chile Relleno burrito by far!
The food is always amazing, especially the shredded beef crispy tacos!
Great food! Nice place.
Great food, awesome workers, always happy!
Best Mexican food in California! Happening for 50 years!
One of the Best, most DELICIOUS Burritos I've had in many moons.
I had a chili Verde burrito on me. It doesn’t come with cheese. We have to add a cheese. I had that with a taco chicken taco it’s fried the food was well-made and delicious. The atmosphere was fine. I sat there an hour and looked at my phone and pass the time, it wasn’t too busy. The service didn’t say much, but they weren’t unfriendly. They just weren’t real friendly people love this place I recommend it for the food.
Their beans are the best anywhere. I had the relleno burrito which is also stuffed with the most sumptuous juicy and flavorful pork I have ever eaten. The staff was very quick and very friendly. There is nothing about the place not to love. I rated the atmosphere as a 5 mostly due to the fact it reminded me of many places I ate in Mexico.
Clean, fast service and really good food! The Chile Rellano Burrito is one of my most favorite things on Earth!
Their chile relleno burritos are amazing and have been for decades. Never disappointed with their food
I was having an awful day, thanks for making it better. Food was yummy.
I had the breakfast burrito yesterday and I'm back today for another delicious and fresh the best around.
Best burrito I'm the Burrito Triangle. It starts with the tortillas. You will not find a better burrito. If you order an XL, you better pack your appetite.
Just moved to highland. Ran across this restaurant with a lot of customers so we tried them. Loved it
The burritos are some of the best I've ever had, and the price is fair enough. They are a bit runny though and prone to opening.
The staff are great and friendly plus the breakfast burritos are really good especially the sausage one. Overall no complaints at all which this Mexican restaurant.
Rosa Maria is my go to place to eat dinner every time I get an opportunity when I’m working at the clinic. I get classic service every single time. Everyone has been helpful, but especially Sophie and Bonnie, who have been incredibly helpful, kind, and loving. I am a huge fan and will continue to be a fan of Rosa Maria’s.
My husband snd I go to Rosa Maria’s every 3 weeks or so. We like going to the one in Highland better than Redlands. The one in Redlands where we live, they would start cleaning, sweeping, and putting chairs on the tables while people are still eating, 20 minutes before closing. They need to start cleaning up when they close and there aren’t customers in the restaurant. The Highland location is larger and they don’t start cleaning up while people are there eating. The food is great and service is fast and the staff is courteous. I usually get the # 5 which is a meal of one chicken taco and a cheese enchilada, beans and rice.
This is one of my comfort foods when I'm in San Bernardino. I pretty much grew up eating here with friends, family or by myself for a quick bite. I used to stick to the classics... The garbage burritos and the beef taquitos with the avocado sauce (can't really call it guac and that's ok). Over the last couple of years, I've branched out to the chili relleno burrito. It still has the tasty pork green chili inside. And their hot sauce is unusual and addictive. Oh, and on the weekends they make a fabulous menudo. Even my mother, who thought she doesn't like tripe, loves the stuff.
This is a very nice Mexican food restaurant, the employees were always very nice and very helpful and the food is fantastic, this is one of three Rosa Maria’s foods restaurant, I love their green chili Verde burrito wet style, so if you’re looking for a great burrito and great service then give these people a try, eat local, buy local ,shop local.
Have enjoyed the food since the late 70's. One of my very favorite Mexican food places in San Bernardino. Best shredded beef tacos around.
The breakfast burrito I had was amazing. Similar to breakfast burritos everywhere, but somehow superior. The small cubed fried potatoes stood out and the salsa tasted like my own. I've wanted another since the last bite of this one!
They make the tortillas from scratch but charge you for the smallest cups of salsa and it's really runny it's definitely watered down. They literally ask you how much salsa do you want as you order and charge you for it
We go here quite frequently....whether it's for their amazing breakfast burritos(served until 11 a.m.) or for tacos, taqutios, or whatever...have almost always had a pleasant experience. The employees are always extremely nice. A well managed restaurant.
Good food decent price . Nice people .
Delicious food. Fresh tortilla chips and guacamole. Fresh salsa. I door seating with a couple outdoor benches.
I ordered the Chile Verde Nachos. They had a great taste. I thought I was eating Chile Verde Chilaquiles. As for the nachos once I got past the top layer of chips the rest of them were soggy. Nachos is a finger food, I literally had to eat them with a fork like a plate of Chilaquiles. If It had some over easy eggs on top it would've been a perfect plate of Chilaquiles!!! Nachos - 7.5 Chilaquiles - 9.0
This morning, I ordered a chorizo and egg potato and cheese burrito. I noticed the flour tortilla was not freshly handmade. I’ve been to other Rosa’s Marie and I can tell the difference maybe that tortilla was from the yesterday. I don’t know, but it didn’t taste freshly the flour tortilla.
Food is great but staff is not as great
The food was pretty good, but 2 🌮's and a small servings of refried beans and 🍚 rice, for 13.00 means I paid way to much for lunch. They even charge fo there tortilla chips. I won't be going back there any time soon.
Nowhere to sit. Food still great. Staff is friendly. It's seems they want to go full take out not sure why they haven't just taken all the seating out of dining area. I work nearby but can't eat in my office. Used to come here weekly but lately can't find a place to sit so I come in every 8 weeks now when I can get in early. Pandemic has changed this place for the worse.
It was good food. They got the food made quickly. If I am in the area again I would eat there again.
Not authentic. Feels like everything is prepackaged and no seasoning. Meat is very dry. No carne or pollo asado, just shredded or flavorless chicken and beef. Guacamole is bland and tastes store bought. Nothing really fresh. It feels like someone didn't know what they were doing and tried to make a Mexican restaurant. Very bland.
So I specifically asked for a MRC(meat, rice, cheese) burrito with a chili Colorado on top for the wet... The cashier said that was fine... It was busy, I was not able to check my order, and once gone and after doing what was needed, have found I have red sauce on my burrito... Not the delicious green pork sauce that they do, but the "meh" red sauce... Not hard to follow directions when I specifically ask for it
It wasn't as good as it used to be, burrito was small for a 14$ price🙄and had very little chille verde meat in it, was mostly beans, and although l ordered X cheese, still was skimpy on the cheese🙄The Rosa Maria's in the north end on off of 40th is better then the one in Highland on bolder
This is the first time I've been disappointed in Rosa Maria's in years. They usually have really tasty dishes that are easy to eat. But the burrito and tacos I just bought fell apart, was kind of greasy. Too wet and did not hold up well. I ended up with a mess on my face, hands, and plate.
Good food good prices. But they make up for the prices by shrinking the sizes of their burritos
Normally we love this place, like getting it once a week sometimes two times. Well last night we got some and it wasn’t anything close to what we’re used to. The meat was chunks that weren’t the same, portions were different. And the taste was completely off almost the entire quality of the burrito was in question, the xl wasn’t quite hitting how it normally does and on top of it we both got sick nearly immediately after.
This edition of Rosa's sucks. Overpriced compared to the other ones , tiny burritos, meat is strange unlike the others. Don't recommend.
I had to take my 5 star down to a 1 star today. Wow $9 for a small bowl of menudo. And on top of that they charge you for extra lemon and tortilla? Every Mexican food place in the surrounding area don't charge for any of that and the portions are nearly double the size. I will not be coming here for menudo ever! Very disappointing! Update: so I found a place with a worse off price for menudo. I will say rosa marias has some of the best tacos around. The burritos are also great. I'm not sold on their menudo but to each is their own. With that being said I bring their review up to a 3 star UPDATE taking my review down to a 1 star. $3.50 for a taco that's looks like I got served left overs. Yea I won't be returning for a while. Save your money go elsewhere.
had a bad attitude and barely had any meat in the tacos for that price ...
In my opinion. Its the best burrito anywhere.
Today I stopped in to pick up lunch. I have been here approximately five times in the last 7 years or so and sadly the customer service remained low, very unfriendly. My last visit was about a year ago and saw no improvement in the level of customer service in my visit today, rude appears to be the bar.
Not authentic Mexican food… horrible I could not finish my food… I do not like to give bad reviews.. but honestly this food is bad pork tasted like it came from a can . No flavor the so called salsa was pure water… save your money and don’t eat here…. I ordered a garbage burrito I guess you get what you ask for!!
Any chance portion sizes have been adjusted back to how they were originally for over 25 years??? 🤔🤔🤔 Otherwise, a very longtime customer has been lost ... xl was reduced to 1/2 original portion/size🤔😥😥😥
I just want it to share on here I bought the chicken enchiladas and I soonest I cut I notice the chicken tangle with hair I went to the counter to let the lady know she ask me to please not say anything and I ask for my money back and she gave it to be in an envelope so no one would know I know this place is always full .
If I could out 0 I would. Couple of coworkers and I went in and paid 17$ for a drink and a wet chile relleno burrito. First off the make it default w pork. Thats new. I ordered a REGULAR chile relleno burrito they added pork. Big no. Asked them to correct it and they hesitated. I’ve been to Mexican places and they never added pork unless you tell them to. I’m vegetarian so that’s the point of the chile relleno burrito. Once they fixed it my burrito was dispicable and SMALL. Chile relleno was disgusting slimey and barely a chile in site w curdled looking reheated cheese. The breading was soggy and no flavor but as if it was already like that. Tortilla was not even toasted up correctly so the overly priced burrito was not even staying to form and falling apart . This place is over priced and disgusting
Rosa mariia burritos are so small now they won’t fill up a kid it’s not worth the price. Im very disappointed. I’ve been going there for 42 years but it’s been this way the last four or five times
Horrible experience today which has never happened ever my birthday was yesterday and every year I get a Rosa Marias burrito since I was a kid it’s been my tradition sometimes all I look forward to on my birthday and they were closed 1/4/2026 so I thought okay they would honor it on 01/05/2026 and not be stingy an uptight but no the old lady at the counter was very rude and unprofessional and was acting like it was coming out of her paycheck
I got a chile relleno burrito, I asked for sour cream, guacamole and rice with beans, paid for 2 of the same kind. I some home only got one and a half? This will be the last time I come here
This is NOT Authentic mexican food! I was expecting actual Mexican tacos ! Mind you they don't have any condiments like cilantro, onions, lemons etc besides some "hot sauce" that's supposed to be mexican salsa, it taste like water. The meats are limited, only 2 options of meat. The quesadilla was pouring water, soggy mess hardly any cheese.Your better off going to Taco Bell at this point.
This absolutely the best food for the person who likes to wait an hour for their food. The food is very delicious if you like plain and bland Mexican food. The burritos are filled with nothing but rice and beans no meat at all. I would never recommend this place to someone I love, only my enemies deserve this type of food. Not authentic at all
I went to Rosa Maria's #2, located on Boulder Ave. in Highland for the first time today, Friday, March 8, 2024 at 4:55pm (receipt attached). I ordered a chile relleno burrito. I asked if they can add carne asada and Oscar, the cashier, said they can only add pork or chicken. I told him no thanks I just want the Chile relleno. As I was driving home eating my burrito in traffic, I came across what felt like meat. To my dismay, I look down and see what looks like pork meat (picture attached). For religious reasons I do not eat pork and have not had any for more than 5 years. I called the establishment and spoke to Alex and she said they can issue me a refund and replace it with something else for my hassle of time and gas. I don't live in Highland so I had to get off the freeway in heavy Friday afternoon traffic. I went back and found out from Alex that they don't ask customers if they want chicken or pork . They assume that if a customer orders a "chile relleno burrito" that they want pork in it. They don't bother to ask customers. I asked Alex, how was I supposed to know that? I am a brand new customer, so how was I supposed to know that is how Rosa Maria operates? Not to mention, I did tell Oscar that I only wanted a chile relleno after he told me that they don't use carne asada, only pork or chicken. I told him I only wanted the Chile relleno. I am so upset and absolutely shocked that such a large establishment with multiple locations can be so unprofessional, unethical, careless with their menu, terrible customer service and sloppy food preparation. There are many people that don't eat pork for religious reasons and it is NOT okay for them to just ASSUME that everyone is down with eating pork when you order a "Chile relleno burrito." The menu states we have an option for chicken OR pork but the employees do not bother to ask, they just assume you want pork when you order a "Chile relleno burrito." To void this problem they should consider being more specific and clear on their menu and have a category on the main menu just for pork burrito and a category just for chicken burrito written out. Currently they just have Chile relleno written on the main menu with very small font writing at the very top of the menu saying chicken or pork inside parenthesis. But it doesn't matter because the cashier Oscar never asked me which meat I wanted and he never confirmed with me what meat choice I would have. The number they give you for your order doesn't have anything on it except for the number. The receipt they gave me doesn't say exactly what I ordered either (attached picture of receipt). So there is no way I would have known that they were going to give me pork. This isn't right to mislead customers. They have to be direct and clear with their communication. The cashier can't just decide for themselves what customers will have to eat. They MUST obtain CONSENT from the customer ALWAYS. Alex mentioned when I returned for my money back that their green sauce also has pork in it. She wanted to give me another burrito and she refused to give me anything else, so again she mislead me because that is not what she said over the phone. I do not trust their food preparation anymore because it sounds like they just add pork so carelessly to their food. I turned down another burrito from Alex and I just got my money back. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to any Rosa Maria establishments and I will be advising people not to go there. I lost my time, my gas, missed an important meeting appointment, and walked out feeling violated of my religious convictions. Feeling so angry 😡 and extremely disrespected from my first experience at Rosa Maria restaurant. The way they mislead with their menu and their horrific customer service should be illegal.
