Ya Mas Beach

Stayed at the Hillsboro Sander. So we gave Ya Mas restaurant a try. Turned out to be a great dinner. The Genteman who took care of us was as nice as you can get. Food was great and had a great time. He made a special drink for my wife they didn't offer on the menu. It was the best one she had all week. AS we were leaving, I saw a lady come in to tell our waiter how great a time she had the night before. She wanted to thank him again. Nice. Funny, due to reviews we almost didn't use this restaurant. Turned out to be our best experience of the week. Oh, and a great view.

Server was perfectly polite. Kids said the burger was fantastic and the chicken Alfredo was amazing. They might exaggerate a little but they cleaned their plates! I had the steak and couscous with veggies. The couscous was probably the best I’ve had. Yum yum. This is a beach restaurant so the steak is what i expected with the ribeye cut. And it was cooked perfectly. As an added bonus I stayed in my swimsuit while kids swam in the pool. My cocktail was mixed upon my request. So a great visit!

Had my first solo week trip here and honestly the staff were outstanding. I was celebrating my cancer anniversary and they took such great care of me. Raul and his team didn't disappoint. The food was amazing every single day, I felt comfortable, well taken care of and I'm so grateful my trip turned out this way. Even remembering my name was such a lovely touch because I value the guest experience especially in that capacity. I'd give it more stars if I could but kindness goes a very long way and I will be returning again.

We’ve had lunch at ya mas several times and the food annd drinks are amazing and very fresh. The manager is so friendly and so accommodating. We recommend this place and will be back!

We had a couple of lunches and one dinner here while staying in hotel. Food was good, excellent view of ocean. A little quiet in January and clearly in transition to new branding / style / menu. Staff were attentive and helpful.

The ambience was amazing! Service was great, it is a peaceful setting, at a small quaint beachfront resort. The food was okay overpriced.

The food was abysmal, extremely overpriced, hidden added 20% service charge on top of tips. They rent this space and act like the own the whole property telling hotel guests they can't have outside food or dinks in the grass or lounge area. Will never eat here again.

Stayed at the hotel and took takeout. Took about 10 or more minutes for someone to just come to take our order. Ordered one dish, which was a dip which was not bad however they automatically added a 20% service charge to our takeout order. For essentially zero service, they tack on 20%. That unfortunately is an inexcusable practice - so despite the OK food I would recommend going elsewhere if you are not at least eating in (although I wouldn't expect great service regardless).

For the price, I expected much more in terms of quality and variety, but it simply didn’t deliver. So I had the Pina Colada non alcoholic drink. It tasted good but I didn’t order any lunch . Simply for the fact that everything here is overpriced. Stop price gouging people just because they are at a pool or the beach. The prices need to be lowered by at least $5-$8 on everything!!!!! Update came back to the hotel on vacation and this place doesn’t even have free breakfast anymore and everything just went up in price !!! Don’t come here, eat somewhere else where it’s worth it!!!!

But it is the only seating available in the hotel. Even with this poor experience, I decided to come back to the hotel and eat dinner & have a drink to support the establishment. They were closed when I arrived, an entire hour earlier than what is listed for their hours here. They either need to adjust their manners & their staff, or the hotel should find a new tenant.

But it is the only seating available in the hotel. Even with this poor experience, I decided to come back to the hotel and eat dinner & have a drink to support the establishment.
