Service was good and friendly. We ordered 5 small (regular?) hamburgers. 2 of them had no pickles, 2 of them had a small piece of pickle and 1 had a slightly larger pickle. All of them had a small smear of sauce and were very dry. We sometimes buy these at the PMB branch and they are more generous with pickles and sauce. Next time I go and there is no improvement i will take it up with your head office.

I'm not really that crazy about MD in general but it's convenient for a quick grab and go... so stopped there to grab some lunch on the run but feel a bit suckered and taken for a ride. On the board it says 2x cheese burger regular meal R66 When you drive through and order it they ask you if you want 2 patties or 3 patties on each burger, making it sound like it comes standard with 2. Then they ask what coke you want, if you order a reguthey don't tell you that you will pay extra. So from a R66 regular meal you walk away paying R93. I won't be caught out again as I won't be back. Don't say I didn't warn you. The drive through is Made for small cars...

The Burgers gave me the runs the rest of the day. Also paid R40 for waffle fries and there was like 4 in a packet. Sad. Ice-Creams machine also always kinda bust. Sucks this is the only drive through here.

Absolutely shocking experience from this Macdonalds drive thru on Saturday. It took about 45mins to get our very simple order, every station was slow, unapologetic and the chips were cold. I will not be going there again. One star is generous in describing our visit all round. 😐

Worst McDonalds ive ever been to...wish there was actually a zero star rating.... This is the second time ive ordered a chocolate milshake.... And ive received a vanilla milkshake food was dry....no sauces on the burgers.... We asked for no jalapeno pieces in our chilli chees fries.... And we got jalapeno pieces in our fries without any sauce on the fries.... What a waste of money will never support this establishment again

Drive through staff need to be properly trained. Every single time without fail when I order at the drive through there is something wrong with the order. Missing items, incorrect items, or being over charged. At this point I'm convinced it's on purpose because how can you be so good at providing terrible service? This time I was given soda water instead of sprite. Really?? I will say if you order inside the staff are friendly, efficient, and there is never trouble with orders

My experience at this McDonalds has never been pleasant. The first time we got the wrong burger delivered, second time they gave me a single chilli cheese burger and they forgot the juice. The third time they got our strawberry McFlurry wrong and gave us a plain Oreo McFlurry. The fourth time they gave us 5 nuggets when we ordered 6. Today, we ordered nuggets and 2 were missing, no sauce and we had paid for it we had dry chicken nuggets. No tomato sauce and we didn’t get enough serviettes. Honestly disappointed by the service. Disappointed by the food.

I recently visited your McDonald's outlet and unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with both the service and the quality of the food. The service was incredibly slow, with long wait times and disorganized staff. Additionally, the food I received was not up to the usual standards I expect from McDonald's. The burgers were overcooked and dry, the fries were cold and soggy, the ice cream tasted very sour and overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I hope you can address these issues to improve the overall customer satisfaction at your outlet.

I don’t know what’s going on with this McD because wow 😳 without fail, they always get my order wrong even yesterday when my friend and I went there. Firstly they gave me the wrong ice cream which was a Oreo but we specifically selected strawberry but luckily I didn’t order online so I took it back but when I got home I realised they didn’t include my fruit juice & I paid for it. The other day I ordered via MrD and I got the incorrect order which was suppose to be a spicy McFeast but I got a Quarter pounder burger and I emailed MrD support 6 times! till today I’ve never heard from them and what makes me more upset is the price different of the meal & it’s the McD staff thats consistently making mistakes. Mr Smith you really need to do something about your staff! This is unacceptable! I love McD and the only McD that’s closer to me is this one but I always get disappointed !

Today i ordered the Mcpops from the McCafe, and boy what a disappointment. I have had these once before and I can honestly say this time was a huge let down. This batch was completely stale and it seemed as if they were left in a microwave for too long as the chocolate on the inside had dried out completely, leaving just a ball of stale dried out cake. I have had a few qauilty issues with this branch but this one has takes the cake.

Waited for 35 minutes for a quarter pounder meal, they practically threw my chips all over the bag, and gave me my coke in a broken cup and its leaking all over my car. VERY dissatisfied.

What a dissapointment of a mcds. Not the first time that the orders gets mixed or you ask for a non spicy burger and end up being spicy. Paying for a chicken mcfiest for 94 rand and ending up with a mcchicken worth half. Paying double for the value. Q takes way to long in drive tru slow and unresponsive staff. Tonight was a spicey dissapointment.

I ordered a doubly quarter pounder and paid for the extra patty on both quarter pounder burgers. Luckily I checked my burgers before I left and I sent it back. When I got home and sat down to have my burger they only put a second patty on the one burger and not both I sent back! I am fuming! You pay so much for extra stuff on a burger and then you don't get what you pay for.

Right then. If you don't have rhe item don't put it on the menu. Order two McFlurries with Choc sticks. Mc-Donalds didn't have the deceny to call and say they do not stock them. Instead they added choclate suace and left it to the driver to tell us they they do not stock the Choc sticks. This resulted in my dad adding Frangelico an alcoholic beverage to his McFlurry. This was to mask the flavour of the choc sauce as he specufically did not want choc sauce. Unknown to me I grabbed his by mistake and got halfway through before relising. Here comes the fun part. Franglico has nuts in it. Guess what I am allergic to nuts. So Mc-Donalds if you had the decency to call and say you were out of Choc sticks I wouldn't have to spend tonight throwing up.

This place is ridiculous! They are perpetually trying to upsell in quite a covert manner too - yet they are remarkably under stocked, waiting for sauces, no deliveries of chicken burgers, no hot sauce…then after trading back my order, I get to the pick up window and get told I have to go to the waiting bay - they don’t have nuggets! Just a whole other level of poor McDonalds delivery!

I've given this particular McDonald's quite a few chances since opening because it's new so I decided to cut them some slack for the first FEW blunders but the 5th time is just ridiculous. Such a disappointment!! Store opens at 7. I go in at 7:10 only to be advised by the staff that they havnt cooked any food?!? Their systems are down and they told me I must wait if I want food. Had so many problems before in the morning amd this store continues to disappointment

The service was good but I ordered a double quarter pounder with no onions and as soon as I started eating it there was a ton load of it and when I went to take it back they said they were closed so I couldn’t get my beef burger because they are closed they will make me chicken instead

This establishment has had issues for over a year. Mc Donald’s is the world’s most notorious brands HOW are they letting a place like this exist under such bad management? How are they getting away with this? This is theft and fraudulent behaviour under such a famous name. 1 hour to pack 2 burgers, incorrect order (quarter pounder deluxe), missing ingredients, missing toy, burnt food, no communication whatsoever. I spent almost R400 on my order. I am tired of these automated responses directing me to a complaint page. I am tired of the refund terms. If you can’t get the orders right time and time again I will not comply with your rules. I will demand a refund in person shortly and I expect an apology from management. First complaint Mcfeast Spicy Burger served without garnish. The burger is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese, jalapeño sauce, chilli sauce and two Pattie’s. As you can see on the slip I did not ask for no garnish. I chose to try the most expensive burger on the menu because I wanted to treat myself to a filling, tasty burger with all of my favourite fillings but there was not even a trace of garnish. I was craving Mc Donald’s for days only to be served this. The lady at the window seemed well-spoken and repeated our order twice.

No staff member bothered to explain what was going on - not a wave, not a word, not even a “sorry, we’ve forgotten you exist.” Eventually I gave up, ordered Steers on their app, mounted the curb like a maniac, and left. By the time I got there (about 5 minutes), my food was already waiting for me. This is the second time I’ve wasted 45+ minutes here. If you’re hungry and value your time, maybe pack a lunch and a sleeping bag before entering this drive-through.

We ordered a Cajun chicken burger meal, a happy meal with a milkshake and junior chicken burgers. Get our meal, first no chips with the Cajun meal, go back in, when I got my chips they were almost green/brown in colour, probably re-cooked a million times, they tasted bitter, just disgusting. To think the same being put into the happy meal. Get to the happy meal, no milkshake given. Go back, oh no, no milkshake, so instead of telling us no milkshakes, they just gave nothing. Chicken nuggets cooked so solid, kids can barely bite into them. Have to peel off the batter for them to be able to chew it.

Purchased a quarter pounder burger. On arrival the patty was badly burnt. I brought this to a staff members attention. They happily acknowledged the problem and replaced the burger with the exact same issue. So either they thought I'm an idiot and won't recognise the same problem or the chef is burning all the food. Which is it?

The food was amazing! But one staff member came up too me and gave me and a few friends a hard time even though we did nothing, this usually never happens because one of the other staff members that worked a different shift is VERY nice, the rude staff member then came and kept on pestering us even though we didn't do anything. If I see that staff member again I will not go back.

This McDonald's sucks so bad. Staff are incompetent. No matter what you try order there will always be an issue, I often end up just canceling the order and leaving. Drive to howick or pmb rather, you will get better service and what you wanted to order in the 1st place. Just tried them for the last time and again drove off empty handed because this time the teller didn't want to make change for a R200

I cannot believe this is my third review for this branch... we've had issues with food and wrong orders and now being told that the branch is closed at half past 8 on a Thursday night while 5 other vehicles are lined up outside but online it say 9pm, also this isnt the first time this has happened. This is ridiculous, either the time is wrong or someone is slacking.

Worst mcdonalds experience. After ordering breakfast through the drive through and paying for my order I was told to park and wait for my meals. After waiting for 15-20min I decide to go in to get my order, the gentleman there was very helpful but was also overwhelmed with everything was going on. I then waited another 5-10min for the order and it eventually came but still some of the meals were missing. I then got frustrated with waiting again and decided go in to get my order. I requested to speak to the manager to voice my frustration however in a calm and respectful manner. She was very understanding however she looked very stressed and overwhelmed. Eventually I received my order from the manager and left but there was many unhappy customers there aswell. The owner should really help the manager here because she was in the kitchen trying to help however her team is really letting her down. This was by far the worst mcdonalds experience I ever received

I don’t usually leave one-star reviews, but after my experience yesterday, I felt the need to speak up. The Avenues McDonald’s consistently leaves me feeling like I'm ordering from Debonairs, with staff offering extras I don’t want—especially additional patties. Yesterday, I ordered a McFeast Spicy (standard) and a Grand Chicken Special with extra cheese, plus some nuggets. I was incorrectly charged for extra cheese on the McFeast, which I didn’t request, and I was also charged for the extra cheese on the Grand Chicken—but when I got home, there was no cheese on it at all. On top of that, I’ve never once received the tomato sauce sachets I always request with my orders. While the service isn’t always terrible, it’s consistently underwhelming—and I think that needs to change.

Even others friends said they had the same experience the previous day where they waited an hour for food they had ordered instore. On trying to understand the root course of the poor service, I understand the store is massively understaffed with extremely inexperienced staff members who are overwhelmed . The franchise owner needs to address this ASAP as this store is massively below the McDonalds quality on service and food quality. Simply shocking.

On trying to understand the root course of the poor service, I understand the store is massively understaffed with extremely inexperienced staff members who are overwhelmed . The franchise owner needs to address this ASAP as this store is massively below the McDonalds quality on service and food quality. Simply shocking.

Purchased a quarter pounder burger. On arrival the patty was badly burnt. I brought this to a staff members attention. They happily acknowledged the problem and replaced the burger with the exact same issue. So either they thought I'm an idiot and won't recognise the same problem or the chef is burning all the food. Which is it?

The food was amazing! But one staff member came up too me and gave me and a few friends a hard time even though we did nothing, this usually never happens because one of the other staff members that worked a different shift is VERY nice, the rude staff member then came and kept on pestering us even though we didn't do anything. If I see that staff member again I will not go back.

I cannot believe this is my third review for this branch... we've had issues with food and wrong orders and now being told that the branch is closed at half past 8 on a Thursday night while 5 other vehicles are lined up outside but online it say 9pm, also this isnt the first time this has happened. This is ridiculous, either the time is wrong or someone is slacking.

This McDonald's sucks so bad. Staff are incompetent. No matter what you try order there will always be an issue, I often end up just canceling the order and leaving. Drive to howick or pmb rather, you will get better service and what you wanted to order in the 1st place. We ordered a Cajun chicken burger meal, a happy meal with a milkshake and junior chicken burgers. Get our meal, first no chips with the Cajun meal, go back in, when I got my chips they were almost green/brown in colour, probably re-cooked a million times, they tasted bitter, just disgusting. To think the same being put into the happy meal. Get to the happy meal, no milkshake given. Go back, oh no, no milkshake, so instead of telling us no milkshakes, they just gave nothing. Chicken nuggets cooked so solid, kids can barely bite into them. Have to peel off the batter for them to be able to chew it.

I don’t usually leave one-star reviews, but after my experience yesterday, I felt the need to speak up. The Avenues McDonald’s consistently leaves me feeling like I'm ordering from Debonairs, with staff offering extras I don’t want—especially additional patties. Yesterday, I ordered a McFeast Spicy (standard) and a Grand Chicken Special with extra cheese, plus some nuggets. I was incorrectly charged for extra cheese on the McFeast, which I didn’t request, and I was also charged for the extra cheese on the Grand Chicken—but when I got home, there was no cheese on it at all. On top of that, I’ve never once received the tomato sauce sachets I always request with my orders. While the service isn’t always terrible, it’s consistently underwhelming—and I think that needs to change.

Worst mcdonalds experience. After ordering breakfast through the drive through and paying for my order I was told to park and wait for my meals. After waiting for 15-20min I decide to go in to get my order, the gentleman there was very helpful but was also overwhelmed with everything was going on. I then waited another 5-10min for the order and it eventually came but still some of the meals were missing. I then got frustrated with waiting again and decided go in to get my order. I requested to speak to the manager to voice my frustration however in a calm and respectful manner. She was very understanding however she looked very stressed and overwhelmed. Eventually I received my order from the manager and left but there was many unhappy customers there aswell. The owner should really help the manager here because she was in the kitchen trying to help however her team is really letting her down. This was by far the worst mcdonalds experience I ever received

My experience at this McDonalds has never been pleasant. The first time we got the wrong burger delivered, second time they gave me a single chilli cheese burger and they forgot the juice. The third time they got our strawberry McFlurry wrong and gave us a plain Oreo McFlurry. The fourth time they gave us 5 nuggets when we ordered 6. Today, we ordered nuggets and 2 were missing, no sauce and we had paid for it we had dry chicken nuggets. No tomato sauce and we didn’t get enough serviettes. Honestly disappointed by the service. Disappointed by the food.

It’s great to have a McDonald’s in hilton but their service is so slow if you don’t go via the drive through. Drive through is alright, though very tight. ***updating review*** Not only has service declined but the quality of food has as well.
