GG's Waterfront Hollywood Reviews
It was the night before the national championship football game. We were staying right across the street and stopped in earlier to check GG’s Waterfront out. It looked awesome! Our experience here from the attentiveness of our server, the dining room manager, John, and the quality of the food was exemplary! Now we need to find another reason to come back and have our next great experience!
FOOD: Both steak and lamb were cooked to perfection. Correct temperature as well which the waiter was so sweet to discuss ahead of putting in the order. Lamb was juicy, flavorful and wow'ed me for sure. Everything else on the videos was 10/10 in taste I have no complaints with the food. Protion: 10/10 Affordability: 10/10 Variety: the menú was amazing and sooooooooo many great options to choose from. Service: top tier and welcoming. Overall: the restaurant blew me away with how clean it was. Indoor dinning, bar, outdoor dinning (which had an amazing view on the water). I will definitely return!
I had a great time at this seafood restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming, and everything was very well organized. I especially want to give a big thank you to our waiter, Zack — he was amazing! Friendly, attentive, and very professional. He truly made our visit special and made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the entire time. The seafood was fresh and delicious, and they are especially known for their lobster, which did not disappoint. Overall, a fantastic experience with great service. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!
Came in for lunch and had an AMAZING experience! We were seated right away and everything after that just got better. The Pow! Pow! Shrimp was a great way to start. The Florida Mahi Mahi was hands down one of the best dishes I’ve had — perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor (only available at lunch! At dinner it's grouper instead). And the Key Lime Pie? Absolutely incredible — creamy, fresh, and a must-try if you love key lime. Add in the waterfront views and friendly staff and this place is a total winner. Highly recommend!
Great experience! Our server, Brandon, was super friendly and attentive the whole dinner. My husband and I shared the ribeye, lobster tail and potatoes. The food was high quality and decently priced for what you receive. Would recommend sitting inside rather than out, unless it’s not too hot. Will be coming back again to try more food.
I took my wife here as part of her birthday weekend celebrations. We arrived upon opening at 11am and had the restaurant practically to ourselves. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We sat outside on a beautiful day with views of the water and various boats passing by. Appetizer and main entrees were fantastic. The manager and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was superb and drinks were good as well. As of the time of this review, brunch is available on weekends only but whether you want brunch or lunch, GG's won't disappoint. Check it out!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Google Review for GG’s Restaurant I want to give a special shout-out to our server, Frank, who delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. His professionalism, attentiveness, and expertise truly stood out. Frank went above and beyond, even crafting a custom double-shot espresso for my wife and me that was absolutely perfect. The entire staff was outstanding—the hostesses were welcoming and gracious, and service was seamless with our table consistently attended to. We enjoyed dining outdoors with a beautiful waterfront view, complemented by a bottle of wine and an incredible seafood tower. Every recommendation Frank made was spot-on, from the elegant dishes to the perfectly prepared burger. GG’s offers an atmosphere that is both vibrant and relaxing, making it one of our favorite spots. Thank you, Frank, and the entire team for making our evening unforgettable. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere and service. Food was outstanding. The tuna poke bowl the way they serve it, easily the beating ever had. Tuna so fresh. Manager came to the table to chat with us! Told them I wish I was Guy Fieri and was talking about it on Food Network! Put GG’s on your to GO list!!
WOW 5 + We had an absolutely perfect evening at GG’s Waterfront Bar & Grill. They truly made a difference and helped make our event a complete success. We arrived at the restaurant by boat, and docking a 50-foot boat was easy and completely safe. We were a group of 28 people on the patio on a Saturday night, and it’s never easy to serve everyone at the same time with hot plates and dishes cooked exactly as requested. Yet everything was flawless! Our server, Elena, was simply exceptional: calm, smiling, incredibly kind, and always attentive. She managed the service perfectly from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing, the Pow Pow Shrimp as an entrée was a total wow! A huge thank-you to the entire team who welcomed us like true VIPs. Wow, congratulations and thank you Elena, Douglas and the whole team!
Enjoyed such a wonderful meal at GG’s!! Food was delicious, service was incredible, ambiance was great! One of the best dining options in the area, in my opinion! Request a table on the deck for serene water views while you eat!
An immaculate night at GG’s! We came to celebrate our engagement and it was the best decision we made (besides saying yes!). From the second we entered the doors we felt welcome and special. Everything from the service, to the drinks, and the quality of food we were simply impressed. Could not have asked for a better evening! 🥂
Get the Mahi dish for lunch! Found GG’s on Google Maps while searching for a seafood restaurant with waterfront dining, and this place was the best option. They have a ton of tables available right on the water, making for a great view while enjoying lunch. Our server was professional and well informed. Definitely on the high end side, but the happy hour crowd packed the outdoor bar at 3:30 so I’m willing to bet they have good deals for the more frugal consumer.
Fantastic restaurant. Beautiful setting on the intercoastal. Attentive but not obnoxious service. Most important, the food! From start to finish... AMAZING! I had the evening special of whole yellow snapper.. probably the best fish I have ever had! At first I was afraid of the bones but the perfectly cooked fish was easily removed. More than enough for 2 people.
GG's Waterfront truly delivered an exceptional dining experience! The highlight for me was undoubtedly their whole fried fish platter. Cooked to perfection, the fish was incredibly crispy on the outside and wonderfully tender and flavorful on the inside. The vibrant array of peppers and green beans added a fantastic fresh crunch and a touch of sweetness, complementing the savory fish beautifully. And that rich, dark sauce? Absolutely divine – it added a perfect tangy and slightly sweet counterpoint to the entire dish. Paired with fluffy white rice and a squeeze of fresh lime, it was a truly satisfying and memorable meal. The ambiance was also lovely, and the service was top-notch. I can't wait to go back to GG's Waterfront for another taste of their incredible seafood
Our evening was a once in a lifetime experience. Our waiters Steve was outstanding. We had a table of seven and they were able to see us quickly. The service was outstanding in the food was delicious. I personally have the rib eye and it was cooked to perfection and the seared crust was outstanding. We have the pow pow shrimp and it was also outstanding. The drinks were crampeded with excellence and this definitely will be on our top three list for the next time we return to the area. Highly recommended on your next trip.
This was our first time eating at GG's and it definitely did not disappoint. We went on a Tuesday evening but still made reservations, we didn't need them as the crowd was scarce. We chose to sit outside and what a lovely atmosphere. Perfect and romantic setting. The wait staff is attentive and very freidndly and knowledgeable suggesting different options from the menu. The chopino is out of this world good. The braised beef rib is fall apart tender and melts in your mouth. The finale was key lime pie that was creamy tart and sweet. Overall 1 of the best dining experiences of our vacation. Will definitely return
This is upscale and excellent service Drinks The shrimp were huge in our shrimp Cocktail fresh tasty delecious I had shortribs excellent Jerry had the fish We found different a cozy corner at the bar and enjoyed our 6th Anniversary Thank you
Came here on Thanksgiving 2025- perfection for a Florida Thanksgiving! Dined with my husband and my 10 year old son! The turkey and sides were delicious! The children’s fish nuggets (grouper) was amazing! Such a great atmosphere- both out and in! This is a must for this area!
I lean on reviews when determining what restaurants to visit when traveling for work. GG’s was rated #1 and I understand why. Actually came here 2x during my 3 day stay as we enjoyed it greatly. So much to love: service, food, ambiance, sunset, the yachts going by…a wonderful experience. The restaurant manager and waitress were superb.
This was our second time and all I can say is outstanding!!! The service, the food and the atmosphere!!! I’d love to call out Linda on the outside bar and the servers Katie and Julia at our outside tables . Thank you to the management and owners of GGs for creating such a great atmosphere with such great staff and incredible food!!!! And especially the incredibly fresh stone crab claws!!! And I’m now an addicted fan of your Brussels sprouts!!!! Yummy!!!! Thank you again!
We always make it a point to come back here whenever we’re in the Fort Lauderdale area. Be sure to get a table on the dock—it’s absolutely beautiful. The calamari is the best I’ve probably ever had… The service is exceptional, and the food is consistently top-tier. Every visit has been an amazing experience from start to finish.
This was an immaculate experience. GG’s has one of the best happy hours I’ve ever seen. The location is gorgeous with a spacious patio along the water front. There is luscious greenery and a beautiful bar. The happy hour menu is quite extensive, and we enjoyed an early dinner off of HH bites alone. They are listed as “small plates” on the menu, but the portions are quite generous. The piña colada martini and skinny margarita are fantastic. All of the cocktails are well balanced and flavorful. The elote, sliders, and calamari are must orders. These items are packed with flavor and texture. With that being said, we tried almost every HH dish and all are phenomenal. Marcelo is a wonderful server! Very professional and welcoming. He made sure we always had everything we needed. This is a must visit in Hollywood. 📸: mango martini and piña colada martini, cauliflower roast, calamari, fish dip, elote, skinny margarita, sunset martini, tuna tostada, mussels, baba ganoush, sliders
Good day everyone, I want to share my impressions of visiting GG's Waterfront. The first thing I want to highlight is the location; the view of the bay, especially in the evening, is beautiful and undoubtedly adds a touch of romance to any meeting. The interior is very pleasant—harmonious and not pretentious. The service is also excellent, very unobtrusive, and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. As for the cuisine, it's tasty but too simple; for the level of such an establishment, it's somewhat weak. Overall, I was left with a positive impression. I think I'll return exclusively for the atmosphere this place provides.
This restaurant, hits every mark that you could look for when it comes down to the ultimate dining experience. The atmosphere is just such a vibe, with the water views & moody, warm lighting! I ordered tons of food tonight & everything was perfection. The pow pow shrimp & mussels to start was so fresh & packed with flavor & it only got better from there! If you are coming to Fort Lauderdale, this is a must spot!
I have been coming to this restaurant all year but on my wedding night for our reception they really went above and beyond. Christina was absolutely fantastic with her service and how nice she was. I know serving 15 people isn't easy but Christina sure made it look easy. Even with the blunder of my husband dropping his phone in the water and then retrieving it, it was still an amazing night. Thank you again for the staff and especially Christina! Everyone loved the food, drinks and deserts. Theres literally nothing I would change! Extra plus for the vegan options for my vegan cousin.
Great place and great staff. No children are allowed seated at the bar. They have an 18% service charge added to every check. I'd like to know what the staff gets out of that fee? I'm guessing they subtract the credit card fee then give the employees the rest in a pool. It's hard to give a proper tip when the service charge isn't explained. Remember a credit card transaction is between you and the restaurant. The 18% service charge by a restaurant doesn't necessarily mean the server's or bartenders get the whole 18%.
We gathered here with friends for a fun evening and it did not disappoint! Everyone was attentive and friendly. The drinks were delicious and the food was savory! I filled up on appetizers so I wasn’t that hungry, but ordered the Pow Pow Shrimp as an entrée. So good! It was crisp and fresh. Their drink selection was excellent as well and I loved their martinis. We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re in Hollywood!
This was one of the most amazing dinning experiences we could've had. We are just two Nebraskans celebrating our honeymoon. The view alone was worth the every penny. It set the mood for the dining experience to be exceptional. The food did not disappoint either. I had the short rib and it literally melted like butter when cutting it. My wife had the seafood primavera and she couldn't stop eating it. The food was so good we couldn't stop there. We topped the night off with key lime pie and tiramisu. The key lime pie was like a zesty cloud when you took a bite. And when I say I don't think I've had a better dessert I mean it when it comes to the tiramisu. If you're in Hollywood this is a MUST TRY!
Everything was incredible. We stopped in on a rainy Monday evening and were able to get a table without a reservation. They had a martini special which was great. The carpaccio was incredible as was the cioppino. The key lime pie was my favorite I had in the area. The manager stopped by to check on us, waiter was very attentive and everyone was very friendly. Recommend it if you’re ever in the area.
A Late afternoon reservation and asking to be seated on there outside dock , is a must to truly appreciate the beautiful views of the waterway and the passing by Boats. And maybe luck out by getting a beautiful sunset as we did. Everything we ordered was nicely presented and delicious except for…. The grilled octopus not sure that peppers and potatoes go with the octopus ? A definite no for me! Sea bass was heaven, a dish to come back for ! All and all a Very relaxing afternoon, one to remember! The server was friendly and helpful.
The grouper over risotto was thoroughly enjoyed by my husband. I enjoyed the ahi on rice puffs, and thr cran avocado toast!! Service was great, and the ambiance was lovely. Great experience!
This is a beautiful place to eat on the bay. Last year when I went we sat right on the water. The view was absolutely astonishing. I tried octopus for the first time and it very good & well cooked. The oysters were fresh. I had a steak and fries, both of which hit the spot. To top it off, they brought rags with lemon and a table for us to clean our hands. I had no complaints. This year we went to watch the Super Bowl, have some seafood and watch the sunset. Oysters were good, but small. The short rib entree was flavorable but not tender enough. Saddly, the waiter did not bring the cloths with the lemon. The sunset was so beautiful. Other than that it was very enjoyable. The food is pricey. You can drop $50 easy in there. Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant out.
Absolutely perfect meal! Gorgeous sunset terrace over the water. The wait staff monitored the sun and rain to lower the blinds as needed. Super friendly and helpful Julia made the meal a pleasure. We started with the cauliflower appetizer. Yum!!! My husband was literally sopping up the sauce with the house made warm rolls. I had the Moroccan eggplant- divine! Others at our table enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass, Salmon, Grouper. All innovative preparations, perfect portions. Just great! Oh, and don't forget the key lime pie - best one I've ever had!
One of the few restaurants we made priority to schedule on this trip. We all agreed - Food was perfection. We tried the shrimp appetizer, steak with asparagus (added the macaroni and cheese), short rib, and the seafood linguine. Service was top tier. And the water view magical. Perfect night. Thank you.
I must say, I was very impressed with the overall experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The customer service was exceptional, with the staff being attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. The food was absolutely delicious. The appetizers were a highlight for me, with the calamari being a standout dish that I would highly recommend to anyone. My family and I never felt rushed which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was nothing short of amazing. I will definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
I wanted to share how much we enjoyed our visit. The restaurant had great vibes, and the service was warm and welcoming from start to finish. Marcela, our waitress, truly made the experience exceptional — friendly, attentive, and always serving with a smile. The surprise birthday cake for my wife really made it special. Thank you for creating such a memorable visit. We’ll definitely be back.
Everything was good. They do use a multi server approach which makes you feel like you have to tell two people the same thing so that it doesn’t get done twice. Atmosphere and taste of food made a good impression. Always remember to ask what the market price which fluctuates on Alaskan king crabs which were good and were pre opened before coming to the table which made for easy eating. The calamari appetizer was the best recipe for it I have ever tasted, with arugula and other flavors mixed in.
Easily one of the best meals I've ever had. The patio area outside was gorgeous and inviting. It's right on the water and was a beautiful place to enjoy an incredible dinner. I had the Cioppino which was hands down the best thing I've eaten in years. The broth had amazing depth and it comes with a baguette to soak it all up. Simply stunning and can't be recommended highly enough. We also enjoyed our desserts and everything else we had.
Excellent raw bar, seafood, steak, and cocktails while soaking up perfect views of the intercoastal. Great place to celebrate a special occasion or just for an enjoyable evening out. We arrived after sunset and the views at night were still beautiful. We liked watching the boats go by and even saw dolphins. Service on the outdoor patio was casual but attentive. Parking is valet. Gratuity was already included for our party of 4.
Located right on the Intracoastal. much better to dine outside since inside is often cold and noisy. diverse menu oriented towards seafood. good size portions. everything was hot and tasty except for the risotto accompanying the grouper which seemed overcooke6.
Tonight, My wife and I came here for date night. We are from out of town, but we’ve been here in the past. Always a good experience but tonight was exceptional. We sat right on the waterfront. This review from me is occurring because sometimes you have a restaurant experience SO GOOD, you have to rant about it. The service was amazing, our waitress Chelsea was perfect. So down to earth and personable, we asked her a million questions and she was more then happy to answer all of them. She took care of us as if we were good friends, and not customers about to put money in her pocket. She was so prompt and you can tell her objective was to make sure we were happy at all times. We appreciate all of the employees here, they are all really nice and hard-working. But she definitely deserves the shout out. We got a slice of Key Lime Pie for dessert and it was delicious. Which brings me to the actual food. The food, was mouth watering and picture perfect. (Literally, look at my pics) the steak was juicy and perfectly cooked. The Caesar Salad was fresh and crunchy (they make their own dressing here and it’s out of this world. And the shrimp…I can honestly say is the best tasting shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. And I’m a big fan of all types of different shrimp. The sauce they use, WOW. A small thing we love is that every table has a touch activated light. Doesn’t take up space and has different brightness modes. It adds a special feel to your experience, that you don’t get anywhere else. Overall, it’s a bit pricey. But you 100% get what you pay for here. It’s a high end restaurant worth every penny. Dine here! Whether you live here or are visiting. Trust me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
This place is well known and long standing, the first two gentleman that greeted us at the host stand were amazing- friendly greeting we got seated right away, I said it was my first time and he sat us by the water. Our first sever seemed outstanding- Steven- and even made a joke with us because someone in our party was also named Steven. Unfortunately, he passed us on to another server, can’t remember our name, but made us all put in our orders one by one for each section, for example for appetizers he went around the table for all 5 people to get their order, then we to first course and he went around the table and got our individual orders, instead of going to each person and getting everything they wanted drink, appetizer, first course, etc. it was so confusing, rushed and someone forgot to order their drink. That being said he was friendly, you just expect more service when you spend $500. The food was pretty good. We had blue point oysters, the mussels (the best), short rib, salmon, octopus (was chewy), Florida grouper (amazing), cocktails: spicy watermelon margarita amazing, blackberry bliss amazing.
We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday and it was amazing! Douglas the manager made sure everything went smoothly and took great care of us from start to finish. He truly made the night special for my mom. Our server Alex was also fantastic super friendly and knowledgeable. She explained every dish on the menu and the food was absolutely delicious. Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and incredible food. Thank you Douglas and Alex for making my mom’s birthday such a memorable night! 🎉🎂🎊🎈
We are retired and always share a main, have a salad and drinks . We had the Salmon and a Caesar Salad. My wife said it was the best meal we have had in a long time. My wife said the fish was cooked perfectly. The bill was $100.02 - included 2 Cosmos and Sangria. John the manager and Tanya our server were entertaining.
I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday in a quiet, relaxed setting, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Everything was just perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, and the outside canal view made the evening feel extra special and peaceful. It was exactly the kind of calm, quality celebration I was hoping for. Thank you for such a wonderful experience — I’ll definitely be back.
Lovely atmosphere, great food, and large portions. We had a really pleasant evening in a tastefully decorated restaurant. Sit outside if it's warm enough. Perfect view of harbor. Excellent service, the staff did not miss a beat. The dishes came out promptly. They engaged us and made great suggestions. I would recommend GG's.
Beautiful, classy restaurant right on the bay. The food is delicious, especially with fresh seafood. They have a wide variety of cocktails and wines. The lunch menu had several selections for starters, sandwiches, and main dishes as well as additional sides. The environment is very pleasant and calm. You are able to view the boats leaving and entering the bay right next to your table.
Always the top pick when I’m looking for a waterfront dinner, especially at sunset. The service is top tier along with the servers who are very polite and helpful. The food comes out great with rarely ever any complaints. You especially cannot complain when you’re seated right by the water. I love how they do speciality dinners as well. We came for Thanksgiving, and the platter was incredible. I would recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful view, good food, and excellent service!
We sat outside and the atmosphere was peaceful yet lively, with a gentle ocean breeze and the soothing sound of the water nearby. Waterfront dining naturally enhances the experience because the sights and sounds of the water and watching the boats go by helped create a calm, enjoyable environment while you eat. Our waitress, Renata was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my meal. Now the seafood was fresh and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The drinks were equally good. Everything came out hot, timely, and the portions were generous without feeling overwhelming, and the prices felt more than fair for the quality. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for a place with delicious food, great service, and a scenic view, this spot is definitely worth checking out!
Went here for lunch and got burrata and roasted beet salad, grouper tacos, grouper sandwich, and the chocolate hazelnut bar (they were out of tiramisu). Everything was very good and they serve quality food. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and it's right on the intercoastal. The staff is super friendly, polite, and respectful. They definitely want you to enjoy your experience. The only downside is the food takes a while to come to the table so definitely only come here when you're not in a hurry. That's the main reason they didn't get 5 stars across the board. Other reason is they only offer valet parking to their customers. While it's a nice service, I don't feel like you should be forced to valet. I'd go again for sure though.
A waterfront restaurant with a professional valet service. The beautiful and gracious hostesses welcome you and ensure your best seating options. Our waitress shared the restaurant offerings and her favorite recommendations. Given a gluten-free requirement for one in our party, every accommodation was made to substitute appropriate items. The food was perfectly prepared, and the service was perfect. A final cupcake celebration for one of our birthdays was done with class. Highly recommend this restaurant for the most demanding diners.
Amazing melt in your mouth grouper bites. Fresh stone crab claws. We had the sweet potato soup which i wasn't a total fan. The lobster roll is served cold and taste fantastic. My Husband had a spicy watermelon margarita which he felt was made with fresh ingredients. The chicken club wasn't exactly how I pictured it but full of favor although the bread was almost twice the size of the chicken breast. The view was very tranquil and our server Daniela gave us exceptional service. We finished off lunch with a sambuca and espresso. This place came highly recommended and did not disappoint. If you drive, valet is required.
Honestly one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Service was fantastic and drinks were amazing. Went here for Valentine’s Day reservations and it was amazing. My only complaint is that the host check in was almost through the door and there was 3/4 people with their arms crossed just watching one person on an iPad. The hostess was also super curt and short, but after that everything was amazing. We will be back for sure!
GG’s Waterfront is an absolute gem in Hollywood Beach, Florida! This stunning waterfront restaurant offers breathtaking views of the Intracoastal Waterway and some of the most beautiful sunsets you’ll see. Whether you’re out for a romantic dinner or a special family meal, the setting is truly unforgettable. We started with some amazing cocktails perfectly balanced and refreshing. The staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional from start to finish. For dinner, we ordered the clams in white wine and garlic sauce absolutely delicious and served with warm bread, perfect for soaking up that flavorful sauce. The branzino was another highlight, beautifully cooked and served with coconut rice and a fresh salad so flavorful and satisfying. Our daughter had a pasta dish that she loved. And dessert? A warm, bread pudding-style cake served with ice cream that was out of this world. The portions were generous, the presentation beautiful, and the flavors outstanding. There’s also valet parking available, which makes the experience even smoother. Overall, GG’s Waterfront delivers on every level delicious food, spectacular views, excellent service, and a truly memorable atmosphere. 10/10. Highly recommended!
This waterfront spot was a very pleasant surprise. The food was genuinely excellent and the service was warm, friendly, and attentive from start to finish. The views are absolutely stunning — one of those places where the setting alone already puts you in a great mood. We ordered the lobster rolls, burger, fish tacos, and a chicken sandwich, and every single dish was delicious. The fish was especially fresh and perfectly cooked, and the lobster rolls were generous and flavorful. Nothing felt rushed, and the staff were upbeat, professional, and clearly enjoy what they do. Great food, outstanding service, and an unbeatable waterfront view — we’ll definitely be back.
We were in it for the experience, and it didn't disappoint! As Nebraskans, we don't do a lot of seafood, because let's be honest, that's one of those things done best on the coast. As someone who only learned to eat fish of any kind less than 15 years ago, I was looking forward to trying all new things with our Florida trip. My husband and I had a goal to only try new things. The Pow Pow shrimp wasn't a brand new item as we already love shrimp. But I would label this as a 'must have' item here. We were in for lunch, and I was impressed by the dated fresh lunch/daily specials in the menu. This attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. We opted for the Yellowtail snapper Chef's special knowing it must be unique. Indeed it was as a whole fish! This was new, and a bit odd at first, but our server, Brandon, assured this was a great choice. He didn't steer us wrong. It was an experience, and I'm grateful we were in this classy upscale environment to ensure it was done right. The vision of the dish was Asian inspired with the rice, veggies and soy glaze. Everything was paired beautifully. We had a seat outside along the water, and if you come in at sunset will be a beautiful experience. Brandon was quick, attentive without being pushy, polite, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I greatly look forward to coming back here on our next trip.
Really enjoyed our lunch visit at GG’s! Always have to find grouper on a menu when visiting South Florida. This meal did not disappoint! Service was excellent, food and drinks were delicious, and the view is excellent. Highly recommend GG’s if you’re looking for a great dining experience!
What an experience I had at GG's Waterfront. Thank you Alyssa for providing the most energetic, professional, and caring service. I couldn't decide what to pick but you guided me through everything from the cocktails (cucumber basil Martini), apps (jumbo delicious shrimp, Prince Edward oysters), main course (Cioppino)! And last but not least the tiramisu cheesecake! What a delectable assortment of seafood I had and all thanks to Alyssa's recommendations. I will definitely come back and catch another sunset at GG's.
This place was amazing! The atmosphere on the water was amazing at sunset, the staff was friendly and helpful with our orders and the seafood was amazing! We ordered the seafood primavera, the grouper and sea bass and it all was delicious and fresh. We made a reservation ahead of time and glad we did because it was busy when we showed up.
This was our first time visiting GG's Waterfront, and it was definitely worth the visit! We started with the Pow! Pow! Shrimp, which was excellently presented and tasted even better. For lunch, we both decided to step out of our comfort zone and order the whole fried Yellowtail Snapper, this means it was still complete with head and tail. It was delicious, however, the concept itself got a little weird for me about 3/4 of the way through, and I didn't finish it. My lovely wife, however, picked the bones clean, even enjoying the eyeball! If the food was fantastic, the service was even better! Brandon was consistent and always there when we needed something. The bar served the drinks cold and fast with great pours. Overall, this was probably one of our favorite restaurants we stopped at on our trip. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
A friend and I went here as first-timers on Christmas. We made sure that we had reservations and were glad we did because they were busy. The ambiance of the place is one of a kind and it is a really beautiful restaurant. The customer service was also wonderful. We had the Pow Pow Shrimp and Lamb Chops from the regular menu. We also had the Lobster Bisque and the Winter Branzino from the featured menus. Everything had unique flavors and we really enjoyed it. Thank you for making our first time at GG’s and Christmas special.
Best birthday ever! We were treated like 3 princesses! From the moment we sat down the service from Zach (grace under pressure because they were super-busy) was exceptional! He was sweet, polite and so incredibly accommodating. He offered suggestions for appetizers (we followed his advice and ordered the cauliflower which had a hint of smoke) and main courses. I had the cioppino and my friends had the sea bass. Unbelievable, all of them! Manager Douglas brought champagne! And Johnny was so kind - he made time to talk with us personally, and he understood we were there for my birthday. They made it so special! And they brought key lime pie - homemade in house from scratch, which was spectacular! Not too sweet, just at enough and the crust was light and crispy. What a wonderful experience overall. We will be back, I promise.
We were out for a small birthday gathering, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The crab and avocado toast I had for an appetizer was amazing, as was the chef's choice omelet with spinach, mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. There was a bit of an issue with the bills as we were a large party with all individual checks, but the manager and server worked diligently to get it amended. Beautiful waterfront view and the crowd was mature and relaxed.
This was my second time here and it was as good as the last time. The salmon was delicious and the plates are very generous. It's beautiful at night, specially outside seating near the water.
Great brunch! Start off with a Sparkling Lemonade Sangria with some fried calamari and Crab & Avocado toast! Everything was very fresh and delicious! Then we move to Millionaire Eggs Benedict, Seafood Primavera, and a sweet and fresh Maine Lobster Roll in a toasted bun! Great little brunch with excellent service and we hope to go back!
This restaurant is a whole VIBE! The staff & service was top notch, friendly personable and on point! The waterfront & sky views are breathtaking and the voice is amazing ( the chick, not so much.... but everything else! YeS!) Our faves were the bread & hummus, the mussels, & fried rice & the bar served great drinks! 10/10! I look forward to returning when in town
The ambiance is great at GG’s. Ana my waitress was a delightful. I gave it a four star because we went to the bar outside and decided to sit at a table. We asked and were completely ignored even though the restaurant was empty. Had the Salmon with fried rice and it was cooked to perfection.
The food is always amazing. The service is the same, always on point. But these new uniforms the bartenders have to wear look ridiculous. It changes the whole atmosphere of the bar. I felt like I was in an Elementary school cafeteria. Please consider going back to the previous uniforms. Or something more classy that represents the environment that people have come to enjoy.
That place is so overrated. The sea bass I had was dry. My husband had twin lobsters, which were rubbery. And don't even get me started on the service. They gave us these tiny glasses of water that no one bothered to refill until the end of the meal. And the bread they served with the hummus was so dry that we had to ask for better bread. They finally brought us some decent bread. Oh, and the women's bathroom was disgusting. I'm never going back there again.
The restaurant overall is excellent—great food, phenomenal service, and truly spectacular ambiance. However, I was disappointed with the recent change to their French toast. The new version feels more like a dessert, similar to a monkey bread, rather than the classic French toast I used to come for. While everything else was outstanding, the change to this signature item is the reason for my three-star rating.
Nice atmosphere and good food. Business lunch, work trip and I'm from out of town. On a per diem and not aware that an 18% gratuity was added for two people at lunch. With the at the table electronic payment device, I did not have a comfortable chance to review the check. I ended up tipping 20% on the total, which already included 18% tip. It should be required that the servers explain this. Ours knew I was from out of town because we discussed it. She was very attentive and pleasant, but I felt like I had been taken advantage of.
Good food and great atmosphere. Most of the waiting staff needs some urgent training. The good : - Most dishes were tasty and entree portions good. Would stay away from the Prosecco. The restaurant has a nice location, and valet was easy to deal with and quick. - Outside seating gives you a great view of the intercoastal The bad : Staff, except for one experienced server, needs training asap. - Picking up glasses with the fingers inside the glass, before pouring water in it. - Not taking away appetizer plates before trying to serve entree (no space on the table). - Pouring tap water into a glass with sparkling water, without asking. - Not providing replacement cutlery after appetizer. - Serving a forgotten side dish after 2 reminders and without any apologies. Some staff is young and just unexperienced, some doesn't seem to care, and one showed to have been in the hospitality business for some time. Good food and nice location but I will think twice returning because of the staffing. That's unfortunate.
The feeling I had when I left: Good but overpriced. 3 stars, it's okay, would not return. At this price I would have expected some Wow factors with the food. The only surprise is when you see the bill total and you realise that it was not that better than anywhere else. Go only if you care for okay food with waterfront and don't mind paying extra only for the spot and not for the food. Also, a 18% gratuity is automatically applied for all table...
Beautiful restaurant with gorgeous waterfront views and a romantic setting. We went for Thanksgiving, and while the atmosphere was physically stunning, the food was not impressive. My prime rib and sides arrived cold, and my family ordered the turkey plate. The turkey and its sides were also cold. The turkey meal said it came with cranberry sauce, but none was served unless you requested it. It's a small detail but it makes a difference. They also ran out of their butternut squash soup by 8 pm and did not offer any substitute besides the endive salad. For an upper scale casual restaurant, I expected better preparation. It left a lot to be desired. On the positive side, our server was amazing, so kind and attentive, and the drinks and dessert were genuinely delicious. But overall, it was a disappointing Thanksgiving dinner, and I would not return.
Main course took over an hour to come from when the appetizers were brought out, came up to us once during that time and just said the kitchen is backed up. Mains came and they were not hot, not cold but not warm either, spent $850 for 4 people and they couldn’t even give complimentary dessert for a 1 hour delay. Main course was very underwhelming and both our servers definitely seemed like it wasn’t a big deal while I was visibly upset. Drinks were good, atmosphere was ok but the way this situation was handled and how mid the mains were i definitely will not be coming back here.
sat outside - looked promising. noticed we were right next to an ash tray and when discussed w manager he moved it over 10”. obviously ridiculous. the smoke smell stunk but not as bad as the food. fish - dry. waitress suggested salmon well done. um salmon in florida???? ordered a whole fish, bone in - worst in my life. it’s very difficult to make a bone in fish dried out - congrats u did it! service sucked - water left empty, waitress unable to open the wine… charming…not! roasted cauliflower was gross, served on marinara sauce and undercooked ! score - the highlight was the bread and actually the grilled octopus was nice! come for a drink but i’d stay away for a nice meal
Bad service yet they stick an 18% gratuity on the bill. Is this so they can pretend everything was great? I distinctly said I will start with and then. My hubby said same. Then we get 4 dishes at the same time. Slow to check on us, to clean up our table, left us sitting with a dirty table. Worst table in the house. At the outside back gate. People coming in and out all night, going out to smoke and smoke wafting in. Staff taking garbadge cans out and then back again, while we are eating. Food was as good as always. We're come here annually from Canada and are paying for quality food, service and ambience. We definitely did not get all three. Disappointing @
I have eaten at this restaurant at least six times prior to the new ownership. I have always referred people to this restaurant prior to the new ownership. Never again. I have never felt more embarrassed in any establishment more than tonight. Imagine waiting 40 minutes to get seated, order your food, and the see three other parties get seated around you 20 minutes after you get seated eat their enteres before you are even offered complimentary bread. From someone that has managed the front and back of the house in restaurants, there is no excuse for bad service. The experience I had I can speak on for days with examples, but will simplify. I ate at tiki tiki three days ago, and continue to go, because it has always been excellent. If the new ownership from that restaurant does not wish to hold this one up to the standard tiki tiki has. You will lose my business for both restaurants, and every one of the um-teen referrals I’ve already given.
First I like to say we been at GG’s several times when we visit Southern Florida yearly and enjoyed it. But last night was a horrible experience. We got seated by a organised host staff and the food plates going by us as we waited looked very good. We waited the 8:30 seat , but to our dismay. We had a greet by drink person and then it all went south. NO one ever came back to our table - it was a busy restaurant and the service staff even gathered by our table to causally chat for about 4 or 5 mins as the ignored us. After 7-10 more mins of waiting we asked a busy boy for a server - we said it had been too long and no server came ! So 3 mins later a guy came to our table and said what can I get you. I said are you our server ? He said no I’m a helping, then I replied, we been waiting a long time - I like to ask a questions about the menu and as he was rushing his replying, then suddenly I got a motion to WAIT - then the words to another server walking by was - “ I need 2 waters to table ### “ complete ignored us like we were nothing. Literally right in front of us. I looked at my wife, already upset from all the bad service & she was FLUSH and in dismay! I said what would you like do- she told me to leave ! Agreeably we did, we told him it wasn’t going well and we were leaving, he said “alright”. It really was inexcusably service - I felt like it was below a waffle house class level - as we left I did tell the host staffers, which was doing a very good job what had happen. I learned they automatically added 18% to bill as the plates were $40-$150 per head . No wonder the service is horrible!! SHE was kind and pulled out 20% off next visit and was genuine but I thanked her & we graciously passed on it! It’s unfortunate but I feel like they ruining that restaurant ! We wanted to share this information!
