Wonderful home cooking. You can eat in or carry out. It in a gas station so there are just simple tables and chairs but the staff is amazing. The menu changes each day and is served cafeteria style but the food is amazing!

Little hole in the wall mom and pop place (inside the subway/gas station). Food was hot, fresh and tasted amazing. The guys working were friendly and customer service was great. We couldn’t figure out why people were eating Subway when they could be heating fresh homemade food. Will definable this a regular stop on the way home to Atlanta.

Today, I stopped by for breakfast for the first time—and it just confirmed everything I already felt about this place. I love it here. The food is consistently top-tier. But what really separates Mudears from everywhere else in Montgomery is the service. It’s truly exceptional. Every single staff member I’ve encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They make you like you’re not just another customer. And in a city where great customer service normally a miss, Mudears gets it right every single time. The prices are a little on the higher side, but honestly, I don’t mind paying it. The food is worth it, the portions are generous, and the service is unmatched. It’s one of the few places I don’t even hesitate to come back to again and again. If you’re looking for a place that feeds your stomach and your soul, this is it.

We thought we were going in for Subway. Instead we wisely chose Mudears. Everything was so tasty we went back for a cinnamon roll. Going to try to replicate the cabbage at home. Chicken, Mac n cheese, rice, dressing and gravy and cabbage. (Choose 2 sides) Plus a dinner roll. Very reasonable!

This is a local dive inside the strip mall behind Liberty Gas station. It shares space inside with the Subway. Nothing fancy. Clearly the locals know this place as they come for take out and eat in. Here you will find southern cooking served at the counter. Ribs, very crispy catfish, fried chicken. Southern sides too. Such as Lima beans and corn bread dressing. Very friendly. Generous portions. Great find.

Not the prettiest place to look at, but you're going to get your bang for your buck. I had the fried tilapia to perfection with collard greens and mac n' cheese. Only thing that was missing was hot sauce. I had to power through my fullness to get the cornbread down. They do not skimp on portions. Friendliest people you could ever meet. Next time I'm in Lowndes county I'm going here again.

Huge portions, friendly staff. Great food! Military gets a drink free! Bbq chicken falls off the bone & is enough to feed an army-I think they gave me an entire bird or 2! Cornbread dressing is just like mama's! Only complaint is the candied yams tasted like they came from a can...And petty alert: no jalapeno cornbread, just standard savory kind. Update: lemon cake is generous & moist, but wish it was more lemony.

If you looking for some good southern flavors, here they are. And, if your like me and have a picky passenger, Subway is in the same location. I had the lunch special with 2pc fired chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Collard greens. All was good. I would have preferred meatier chicken, but I guess you get what they bring ya to cook!
