Everything was super fresh!!! The cinnamon roll was so not a traditional cinnamon roll but was absolutely my favorite!! Line was long but went super fast! Everything looked so good we had a tough time narrowing the choices down. Plenty of seating and lovely staff.

I’ve visited both locations and have not been disappointed! Everything taste so fresh from the bread, meats and even the lettuce in the sandwich. This place has me waking up early to get their food! The Italian sandwich is 10/10

A Houston treasure. One of the best options for anything baked goods in Houston . Highly recommended.

Angela’s Oven is exceptional. Wonderful bread, excellent staff, just solid all the way around. That said, we once brought our lovely dog Nijjis ( his name translates to ‘ritually impure’ in Classical Arabic ) there and we were advised that dogs were not allowed. This is understandable but I would like the staff to know that he has recently been washed and smells so good right now. I guess you’ll never know though. Either way, thanks for everything

Came here for brunch and we were not disappointed! We got the croissant sandwich and quiche and blueberry danish. All were delicious! And the salted carmel latte was yummy also! Small indoor space but there is a huge outdoor patio so we will definitely be back when the weather is warmer and we can eat outside. We also walked next door to the co-op and bought some Angela's Oven pizza dough from the freezer section!

What an amazing bakery! This might be one of the best tasting chocolate muffins that I’ve had! Perfect balance of sweetness and there’s a great touch of crispiness. Overall, I highly recommend and would come back.

I regularly buy sourdough starter, brioche and ciabatta (closest to what you'll get in Italy I've ever tasted)loaves from this lovely bakery. It has a low key, garden like space outside that is so relaxing

This place is amazing. We tried to come for lunch but it was super busy but we came back the next day for breakfast. And thank God we did!! So be sure to come early or prepare to wait but it is worth it. We had the spinach and feta quiche, pain fronage (the greatest thing I’ve ever had in my life), blueberry scone, and a banana nut muffin. Everything was delicious. Coffee was great. Free refills for the house drip. Can’t wait to come back for lunch and for pizza night. Also, the staff is incredibly friendly, service is fast, and who we’re assuming was the manager asked us how we found this place and was very friendly and thanked us multiple times for coming back. This will be our new go to stop

We love Angelas Oven and have made it our weekly brunch spot after Mass. We love the outdoor seating so our kids can play around while we enjoy each other's company. It is hit or miss on how good the selection of pastries will be because they do sell out of stuff on busy days, but their breakfast and lunch sandiwches are great. They service is great and the food is wonderful. We love that it is family-run and one of the few places with a good food selection, good coffee, and has space to sit for brunch. Only challenge is the lack of seating indoors in the summer as its very hot to sit outside some months in the summer heat. Maybe they will add outdoor fans one day.

The only place in town that I genuinely enjoy going to for breakfast. Amazing staff, breakfast feels just as genuine and filling as it does cooking at home. Patries and bread is always fresh and baked to perfection. Prime example to shop local and support small businesses. Absolute gem!

Stumbled in for lunch today and OMG can’t wait to come back! The Italian sandwich was on the freshest Ciabatta bread. Hibiscus tea was so refreshing. Priced very reasonably and everyone especially Miranda was so so sweet. True Heights local vibe and culture. Can’t wait to come back any work my way through their sandwiches (and more!!).

My favorite coffee and pastry spot! We usually frequent their satellite location on Studewood but we also love the pizza night on Wednesday! Absolutely love the team, the food, and coffee!

Had a really great first impression and Angela’s! Really polite and welcoming staff, simple and delicious menu, quick service and great atmosphere. Lucky to have this place in the neighborhood

I stumbled upon Angela’s Oven while searching for the best breakfast in The Heights—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone. Lola greeted me with infectious energy and helped me craft my perfect coffee order—an incredible cold brew with a shot of espresso, oat milk, and vanilla sweetener. It was so good, I ordered another on my way out (a 50/50 cortado that was strong, smooth, and creamy). The food didn’t disappoint either. The French toast was crisp on the outside and rich with flavor, while the sausage patties were perfectly seasoned and cooked—like flavorful mini burger patties without the grease. Despite a line of first-timers working their way through the menu, the vibe remained upbeat and joyful. Angela’s Oven feels like a true neighborhood gem—full of character, charm, and seriously good coffee. Can’t wait to come back!

Cannot wait to go back! Everyone and everything was so great. I ordered the ham and bacon quiche, blueberry muffin, and a spinach and tomato pain. I could’ve easily ordered so much more because everything looks delicious! I didn’t have time for a drink this time, but I will definitely grab a coffee my next time in. Small indoor area for ordering with a lot of casual counter style seating. Plenty of outdoor seating!

Angela's Oven is the epitome of a hidden gem in the Heights, tucked away on a quiet corner lot in the Sunset Heights neighborhood. The location might seem unsuspecting at first—situated in a red barnyard with a cozy, rustic vibe—but once you step inside, you'll realize why this spot has become a favorite among locals. It's the kind of place where most customers walk from their nearby homes, adding to the neighborhood feel that makes this bakery so special. The bakery itself has a modest interior, with just a few seats at a shared table and some side stools. It's not a place that tries to dazzle with flashy decor; instead, it lets the quality of its pastries do all the talking. Outside, there's a spacious patio with plenty of picnic tables, perfect for enjoying a refreshing ice tea on a beautiful Houston day. The warm, inviting atmosphere makes it easy to see why it's a local favorite. Angela's Oven was started by Jerry Shawn, a former Marine who found his true calling in baking. After stumbling upon an Italian cookbook at a garage sale, he discovered a passion for the art of bread-making that led him to culinary school and eventually to opening his own bakery with his wife, Angela. Jerry's commitment to quality and community shines through in every loaf of bread, every croissant, and every pastry that comes out of his oven. Before you make the journey, know there is plenty of free street parking available, but it tends to get full just in front of the bakery. Also, they are open from 7 am to 1 pm on Wednesday-Friday and from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday and Sunday. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. [COLD DRINKS] +Peach Palmer (ice peach tea with lemonade) for $3 - The ice peach tea here is unsweetened, and adding a bit of lemonade gives it slightly a sweeter taste (ask for a splash of lemonade). It's very refreshing. I would order this over the ice peach tea alone. It's great on a sunny day. - 4.5/5 [PASTRIES] +Chocolate Croissant for $5 - The pastries at Angela's Oven are really good! I need to try more of them. The chocolate croissant definitely hits the spot. - 4.5/5 [BREAKFAST] +Aurora Breakfast Plate (2 eggs, biscuit, a side, and fruit) for $9.50 - I love this simple breakfast plate. The eggs taste incredibly fresh. For my side, I usually get the bacon, and it's so soft and juicy. Usually, I don't even like biscuits, but they are really good here! I feel Angela's Oven's simple breakfast plate is considerably better than most fancy brunch places around town. - 5/5 Angela's Oven stands out not just for the exceptional quality of its food, but also for its genuine connection to the community. It's the kind of place where you can sit outside with a fresh croissant and a cup of coffee, enjoying the simplicity of the moment while knowing you're supporting a local business that truly cares. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

We tried their breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. The croissant was baked perfectly and eggs, veggies were fresh. Organe wedges were a nice touch. The blueberry cheese danish was tasty too. It’s got a big patio space and can be very nice when weather is good. Service was top notch attentive, the staff know what they are doing. We parked on the street.

Delicious pastries and tons of outdoor dining options. You can take stuff to go if you want, too. The croissant and biscuit sandwiches were tasty and the latte wasn't bad. Right across from Central City co-op and a flower shop so it's a nice place to both shop and eat.

We came here on Saturday around 9am and luckily it wasn't busy and also we were able to park our car on the street nearby. We picked up a couple butter croissants, a blueberry danish and a spinach quiche. Everything was great; the bread was flaky and fluffy, and the quiche had a different texture from what I've had and I thought it was like eating a mousse cake. The bakery is small but there is some outdoor seating, and the lady who helped us was friendly and nice. We'd like to come back and hope it won't be busy like this visit.

Is a super cute coffee and sandwich shop that has amazing bread. I ordered a cappuccino, the club sandwich and also a loaf of sourdough, all of which were amazing. The outdoor seating is great. The people are super friendly. Highly recommend on a weekday to get some work done or even on the weekend to lounge around and chat.

Went twice today; this morning the pastries/bread were amazing, the lady was super nice! I can’t say the same about the pizza. We waited over 20 minutes for our pizza, the staff never offered us any complementary drinks like they did with others. We had half chicken pesto and half Italian, they just shoved big chunks of chicken breast into the pizza and they gave me cheese instead of Italian. Only pro for the pizza would be the size, overall i recommend only coming for pastries/bread.

The flies are atrocious. Sitting outside you will be battling hundreds of flies trying to chomp at your sandwich. There is no escaping them. The sandwich, while fresh, was nothing a trip to HEB couldn’t accomplish. Especially for the $30 price tag (two sandwiches and one lemonade) and when taking into account that they ran out of ciabatta and the only option was a thin slice of sourdough. Additionally, (albeit a small point) I hate when restaurants provide bathroom stall paper towels as food napkins. For the price tag, it’s simply sloppy. Do better. Want better. Overall, my experience abysmal at best. I will never be back.

Jess Lao

While I understand this place gets busy and the staff is focused on getting orders out quickly, the overall experience felt very rushed and unwelcoming. The manager in particular made it seem like customers were an inconvenience rather than valued guests. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for it. The pastries didn’t taste fresh. The chocolate croissant tasted similar to a frozen one from Trader Joe’s. The coffee was just okay, nothing special. The bread on the breakfast sandwiches was dry and hard. Overall, it wasn’t worth the price, especially given the rushed atmosphere. I left feeling disappointed rather than satisfied.
