Arco Seafood Restaurant Houston Reviews
This was my first visit to Marcos Seafood Restaurant, and it definitely won’t be my last! The food was incredibly fresh, and every dish tasted like it was made with care. The service was great—friendly, attentive, and efficient. I also loved the convenience of the location—shopping and dessert options are right across the street, making it the perfect spot for a full outing. Marcos has a great variety on the menu, and I can’t wait to come back and try more!
Absolutely one of the best Asian restaurants I've eaten food from. There are two menus one with photos and one without. I'm not fluent in any Asian language so I'd recommend asking for the photo menu. That being said I asked a staff member tins of questions and took his recommendations. The food here is amazing. Everything we ate was cooked so perfectly and seasoned just right. We tried quite a few dishes because everything sounded so good. I highly suggest peppered beef and basil chicken. Not only is the food terrific but so is the service. The staff members were all so kind, helpful, and quick to assist us either by refilling our glasses or removing empty plates, we never really had to ask for anything because they asked us first.
Small space but great food and service. The space can feel cramp but the food quality and freshness is seafood is consistent. Live crabs, fish and lobster. Seafood is the main event here.
We met our friend at this restaurant for dim sum. We’ve been here before, usually for dinner, but this was only our second time coming specifically for dim sum after quite a while. The place is usually quiet, which has always made me wonder about freshness due to the slower turnover. That said, these days most dim sum is likely frozen rather than made to order, so it wasn’t a major concern. We came on a Wed around lunchtime, and there was essentially only one other table dining. The restaurant was extremely quiet, but they had three servers on staff, so service was very attentive. We ordered about eight dim sum dishes, and everything arrived within roughly 10 minutes. Flavorwise, everything was good. Most dishes we ordered was priced around $7.95 each, which feels a bit on the higher end. They do charge for tea per person, and I noticed they were also promoting a Lunar New Year set dinner. In total, the three of us spent $80 for dim sum, which felt a bit much. It wasn’t outstanding, but it was a decent meal especially when you need a quiet place to talk.
August 2025 We passed by this location for many years finally got to visit. Not very welcoming front counter. Not a good idea for first impressions. However, nice and comfortable dining room. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our DimSum orders. Not sure why the steam buns crack, due to freezer burn perhaps? Other than that, very flavorful flat noodles with beef and broccoli. One of best, I have tried. Great sauce over the wok fried flat noodle. I was truly impressed. We will return order from the menu instead. My rating 5 as very satisfied Taste 4/5 Temperature 5/5 Cleanliness 4/5 tidy up the front please. Attentiveness and courteous 5/5 Speed of service 4/5
Their family style dishes were nut allergy friendly! A very family style restaurant, I went with a group of 11 people for a holiday dinner. They have a curated "prix fixe" menu for the holidays that consists of a 9 course meal. There are some private tables in the back that fit around 10-12 people. All of the food was pretty good. I would say the highlights are the Peking Duck, the Lobster, and the Yee Mein w/ Abalone. We didn't get any white rice or water on the table, but I think someone could have asked. The tea with the meal was very smooth and flavorful as well. Overall a lovely place for their family style meal if you can get the private room.
We have been to this restaurant twice. Both times we came because our non-Chinese friends indicate that this is their preferred Chinese food restaurant. The food, atmosphere and service are just ok or barely acceptable. But the food is overpriced with small size. The tables and chairs could use some updating.
Arco seafood is a bit on the pricey side, especially given its location next to other delicious restaurants. However, the food is very good and prepared perfectly. The Peking duck was a real delight, and the highlight of our meal. None of the dishes were over-salted, a tendency most Chinese restaurants have. The service could have been better - it felt like our meal was a bit rushed. Overall, we had a good experience, and Arco Restaurant is a place I would recommend everyone try.
I’d give it zero star if there was an option here. Poor, DISCRIMINATORY and snobbish customer service. 👎👎👎👎 overpriced foods with dirty table set up😟😣😫 Don’t waste your precious time, money and stomach here 😥 If i applied a little critical thinking to this restaurant, its limited Google map review for its long term in business explained its inferior food with expensive price tag. 😢🫣😑
I took my mom coming from Mexico to this restaurant for new years weekday. There was an older or middle aged laddy with short hair that was being so rude. She just stared at us. And said we had to order fast because they closed the kitchen in 8min. Mind you we had just gotten there. We asked another worker what time they closed and we still had 3hrs before they. Closed. Short hair laddy made faces and mumbled stuff. We asked her what she recommend and she just stared at us . No words no gestures. I told my husband and mom we should leave now. Infornt of her. And she smiled. Im not sure if anyone has had this interaction there but I felt embarrassed taking my Mexican mom there. My mom asked if "they didn't like Mexican people" I told her me and my husband come to Chinatown 3 times a month and we have never had that interaction. We will never be returning here. And I will 100% let me friends and family know. Very unfortunate. But I still love all the places around and will continue to go enjoy other restaurants.
The service here was terrible. The other staff were very nice, but one woman with short, highlighted hair had a terrible attitude! She kept glaring at us the entire time, even at the kids. When we checked the bill, we noticed an extra charge and talked to another server to have it removed. While we were doing that, she stood nearby complaining about us to others, saying we were annoying. I honestly don’t understand what kind of manager would keep someone with such a bad attitude working in the restaurant. Definitely not coming back!
