Its Saturday noon. Very well lit, industrial ceiling, walls covered in art of Frida Kahlo and greenery. The music is playing at a level you can hear AND I can hear others at my table, which I appreciate. I was greeted with warm smiles making me feel welcome. I ordered tex mex crispy tacos with beef. The tacos were overstuffed with meat causing the liquid from the meat to quickly make the shell soggy. Also, the lettuce was not shredded small enough so my taco broke after 2 bites. "More" does not always mean better in a hard shell taco. The meat was a bit bland, but I would prefer bland over too salty. After all my tacos broke, the remainder of the meal was eaten as a taco salad. Not bad, but not what I ordered. The refried beans were yummy. Great flavor and not too salty. Overall a great experience.

I absolutely love Cenas! I’ve been coming here since they were at the old location, and the food has always been consistently delicious. My go-to is the seafood enchiladas. They’re amazing every time. The drinks are just as good. I also recommend checking the menu for any specials during the week. This place never disappoints!

I had a great experience at the bar with Elyssa, Melanie, and Ali they were so welcoming and very nice. I got the street tacos, and they never miss they're so delicious! I always come here for the best margaritas they are my favorite and will continue to come and bring some friends.

The easiest 10/10 I could ever give a restaurant. We were sat immediately on a Sunday afternoon. Ariya was our server and she was very knowledgeable about the menu and sweet. We had the chicken empanadas for appetizer, it could very well be an entree by itself. They were packed with flavor and sooooo yummy! My bf had the mango and shrimp salad, it had this amazing sweet ginger dressing that was very green so I was a bit skeptical but it was the best thing I’ve ever tasted! I want the recipe sooooo bad. For my entree, I had the Mexican wrap with fajita beef, it was huge! But very delicious. They offer free ice cream so I had to try it. So good! Every time I’m in town I will be going here! Very family friendly, bright and airy inside decor wise. I love it there!

Even though this place is beautiful, the atmosphere feels amazing, the decor is total eye candy, and the service & hospitality were above & beyond superb, food presentation & creativity was a solid 👌, I have to be brutally honest. I just do not like the food. The fajita meat had a flavor I could not pinpoint, and it was just terrible. The flour tortillas are fresh but not fully cooked, and I saw a few people struggling to open them to make a taco, including myself, as they were sticky & all wadded up. No attempt to fix them. They looked like whoever is back there making them was pissed. I tried other dishes before at their old location, and even though I work in the area and it is super convenient to stop by for lunch specials, I won't. This is my first time at the new location, and I am willing to give it another chance. I also ordered a skinny patron margarita with a patron floater, and it it was pretty! But that was it. IF it had Patron or ANY other liquor (as a double shot), you would've tasted it, being that the glass was small. It was probably the weakest drink I EVER had. We ordered sopapillas to go.🤦🏻‍♀️Another disappointment. They were more like buñuelos with a side of honey. We didn't eat them. My hubby, on the other hand, couldn't wait for this place to open, and he knew I didn't want to come. He LOVES this place. The ribs are his absolute favorite. My husband likes anything. Again, it's a beautiful place, and I will try again one day, when i lose a bet or my husband gets to choose where we go & and hopefully, I can change my review. Don't take MY word for it. Go check this place out and give it a shot!

They offered several vegetarian options in the menu, I loved the poblano sauce enchiladas with veggies, also the rice and fried beans were delicious. The waitress service was excellent, the only reason that I gave them 4 stars is because is tex-mex 🫠. I needed a hotter sauce 🙃. As an extra, the ice cream cones are free 🫶

Food was excellent. Service was good but we got approached by 3 different servers all introducing themselves saying they will be our server. Very confusing. Ordered drinks from one then the other came and we repeated the drink order. We ended up having 2 drink orders. Finally we asked who was our server and they decided in the back. Very good service by both but just confusing. The food was excellent. Fajitas, chicken and shrimp were perfect. Ice cream at the end hit the spot.

The food was very good but just didn’t leave feeling like it was great. What was great, was the service. Top notch like it used to be. Place is pretty much setup like those here before them. Anyone with Frida portraits on the wall gets an extra star.

Hostess stand was very welcoming. We got seated right away and our server Adrien was great as well. Went for the first time on a Friday evening. I will start with bring patience cause it gets packed and there is always a wait. Outside despite being a lot of parking, seems like people like to park closer to the restaurant. We even noticed an argument on the parking lot that day. Atmosphere is nice, lots of plants and nicely decorated. Music was in played in spanish at all times. Restrooms were clean but at least the women's, it's only two stall for a restaurant that big. Expect a line. Drinks, I ordered a margaritas flight, you can pick up to 4 different flavors. They were good and strong. Food took a little while to come out. I ordered beef fajitas for one. They were overcooked and a little hard. The shrimp was good. Beans and rice were ok. Pico de Gallo can be chop smaller. Salsas are good, none of them spicy. My husband's burrito was small in size in his opinion. The highlight of the night was the ice cream machine. You can get all the ice cream you want for free. My final thoughts. Place is overrated, in my opinion. The whole experience was cool but food was just ok. A little bit pricey. You can drive a couple of miles on any direction and find better Mexican food to be honest.

We have been going to Cenas on a regular basis since it opened. Tonight we went and totally different experience. They have added a lot of booths and changed out the ones they had. I felt like I was at McDonalds. It has gone from feeling like a unique Mexican restaurant to a mass produced chain. The new booths are so close together the customers had to squeeze past the waitstaff to get by. I felt like we were sitting in other patrons laps. The service which is usually fast was very slow. We waited close to 5 minutes to have anyone come to the table. When the server did get to us, very nice, but everything was slow and seemed off. Our food the least enjoyable we have had. I am not sure who made the decision to change the overall vibe but I am not eager to go back. Maybe it appeals to others, just not us.

We go out to a lot of restaurants!! With that being said I would highly recommend trying some other place! Yea it looks nice inside & out but the food is sooo mid!! I cook better at home tbh, I guess cause I cook authentic Mexican food. The tortillas are store bought!! NOT even the good kind. The food look dry & quality was not good. I reserved a table for my family & I and was so embarrassed at the end. Even my MIL said the food wasn't all that. You're better off trying El Corral on Eldridge!!! Much better food! Our waiter was ok, we gave him a good tip but tbh he kept forgetting a lot!!! I had to constantly remind him of our drinks! But I get it. I was a server once. But still. Anyway, I feel like if you're not use to real good food this will NOT be the place for you.
