Oh my gosh What a find!!! My hubby likes to collect cards and I was visiting because my name is Coral so had to visit. I ended up getting a bacon egg and cheese Danish. HEAVENLY! I LOVE the hard-boiled egg with the bacon and crispy exterior but fluffy interior. I am definitely coming back to eat there and there is plenty of board games for people to play. This is absolutely a gem of Houston to visit

The food is genuinely worth the price. It may seem like a bit for the food but it is genuinely amazing. My recommendation is the Diabolo pizza. The chorizo mixes so well with the pizza, they are crunchy and tasty. The kolaches are amazing. And coffee is spectacular. The tea is average, not the best but everything else is great. The atmosphere is great chill and a vibe, a good play to go with friends, especially to play card games and too many board games to last a life time. A definite Houston hot spot.

Not a full bar but they do serve beer. Parking is small but there is a lot of street parking in the back. Great place for a date.

A total home run for Houston! ⚾️☕️ Owned by local legend Hunter Pence and a stellar team of coffee and gaming pros, Coral Sword is the ultimate community hub. The Greenway Coffee program is world-class (try the nitro chai!), and the 'gamer fuel' pizza is legit. Whether you’re here for a serious Magic: The Gathering tournament or just a casual board game with friends, the vibe is incredibly welcoming and high-energy. It’s easily one of the coolest, most unique spots in the East End. Don't miss it!

This place is amazing! Very few card shops are this high quality in what they offer, and have this cool a vibe and atmosphere. Like an home for geeks, and a restaurant in one! Unlike other low quality card shop places, they have actually attentive and decent staff. If you’re looking for a “third place” this one’s got it all.

The most delicious hazelnut coffee I’ve ever had and the atmosphere is incredible here! So many cool games and products. Great artwork.

This place is AMAZING!! Coffee is super delicious! The chocolate croissant was fresh and best ever!🥐 ☕️ I’m very picky with coffee and I would definitely recommend! The line out of the building speaks for itself! The place has all sorts of games and it was such a cool spot to hangout in Houston! My fave!

My friends and I always have a wonderful time playing DnD here! The atmosphere is perfect, the staff is kind and welcoming, and the food/ beverage selection can satisfy any gamer's desires. Total nerd heaven!

I was in the area looking for a good matcha. I was not disappointed! Ordered a matcha with almond milk and a vanilla cloud. The vanilla cloud was giving vanilla bean, still tasty! Matcha was perfect. Also a hot matcha with oat milk and chai syrup. Which was also super good.

Im here a lot. The staff is friendly and the selection of games is great! The coffee is simple and perfect. The snacks are all deceptively never than you'd expect. But you come for the atmosphere. Ive never had a bad game night here!

We tried this place because it was in my Houston Café Passport and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere is amazing and the staff super friendly. They make all their syrups in house and the flavor profile is fantastic. As someone who loves both coffee and tea I got the Earl Grey Latte. Prefect blend of both my loves. Great place to hang out and play board games. They have a wide selection that you can play. Big plus for card lovers/collectors.

Played Dungeons and Dragons here and it was lovely! There will be noise so don't expect a quiet area, but everyone keeps to their own business. Food and drinks were nice, my group shared a pizza and we bought many drinks. We stayed for about 5 hours, definitely would've stayed longer if we all had time because it's a great place.

Great local gaming cafe. We went on a Saturday night, and it was pretty busy. Fun atmosphere, great energy. The servers were friendly, helpful, and quick. They have a ton on games to choose from in all different styles. Because most people are there playing some form of physical game, there are ongoing sounds of strategy and friendly competition and laughter. Easy to talk with the people at your table. Not too loud. We'll definitely visit again. Only have 4 stars on the food bc it's not a huge selection, but honestly, these are snacks and coffee/drinks. Go for the fun and fellowship.

Great stop for board gamers! $5 play-all-day, or free if you purchase a drink or food item. About 6-7 shelves of board games to choose from. Great selection for both seasoned and casual board gamers. We’ll be back!

Really enjoyed coming here. Such a fun concept. Enjoyed their selection of board games and had a lot of fun with my friend. Coffee was good and the bacon, egg, and cheese Danish was pretty good. I do wish they had a larger selection of food items but overall great vibe and would come again.

I strictly come here for their phenomenal matcha lattes. I’ve been coming here for over four years, and they’ve never failed to make the best drinks! They’re consistently good, carefully made, and the staff is always so kind regardless of how busy they are. I no longer live in Houston but I still stop by when I visit. Thank you guys for always being great <3

Such an awesome chill place to work and study 🍵The matcha latte was a banger and very foamy just how I like it! Definitely recommended as it gives a gamer vibe also satisfied to see they sell trading card booster packs there 🙌🏼

I have finally found the perfect gaming/coffee shop in Houston! I came here for some Catan and coffee with friends. It's so well organized to where you can play any of the board games they have on the shelf, not worrying about missing pieces. They also have a barbershop next door! The game selection✅ Coffee and drinks ✅ Reading nooks✅ Spacious!!✅✅

Obeisantly, this is THE spot for fun and games! The drinks (especially the nitro Thai tea) and snacks are tasty and very affordable. Honestly, for a place where food is not the priority, I was impressed by the quality. They have an ample selection of games for groups of all sizes, as well as “Magic The Gathering” well, gatherings. There are also plenty of cool items to purchase. Listen, you can’t get any better than a place where you just need to buy something to play for as long as you want. It’s a treat!

Here's the short version for those unwilling to read the novel I've written below: it's very good; you should go here and get a chai latte. Environment: Coral sword is an extremely welcoming and comfortable environment. The staff is kind, knowledgeable, and willing to answer questions about the games or drinks. The dining and service counter areas are always clean, even on packed nights. During the day the cafe is pretty chill, filled (but not too full) with students and remote workers. The cafe tends to be busier in the evenings (or weekends) and hosts multiple events every week, with plenty of opportunities for magic or tabletop players. It's a great place to bring your own group and play board games. I also go there to work on my laptop and have never had trouble finding an outlet as there are multiple outlets along every wall. Accessibility & Inclusivity: The building has its own parking lot, but it is small and those going during busy times may have to find street parking. The cafe seems fairly accessible, but some of the spaces between tables are tight, especially during a packed house. The neighborhood and area around the building is not as accessible, but the crumbling asphalt and cement is by no means the responsibility of this establishment. There is a ramp on the side of the building, near the front. The doors are standard full-glass pull doors seen in many businesses. The cafe has a welcoming culture and I regularly see a diverse group of people here. Food & Drink: The drinks are amazing. I've never had a drink from here that wasn't delicious. Patricia makes a great chai latte. The first sip transports you to another realm, The Flavor Realm, where the weather is always beautiful and the traffic is always light. The food menu selection is small but the choices are solid. If you are genuinely hungry, you might find the food to be more snackish than filling. However, the snackish foods are perfect to munch on while hanging out with friends or working on your laptop. The prices are pretty standard cafe prices. I generally spend $5-6 on each drink and another $5-10 if I get a food item. You can certainly get a drink here for cheaper, but I tend to opt for larger sizes or extra espresso. I've never had the beer from here, but I've been told by my friends who drink that the beers were good choices. Overall, Coral Sword is a great spot and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cool spot to hang out, a fun time, or just a really good coffee. Since consistent quality is a big part of any business-to-customer relationship, attached are photos from a few of my visits.

Great coffee shop. Plenty of parking and seating and some outdoor seating as well. Cool interior with games I believe you can buy. Friendly staff. Got an almond latte and it was quite good. Decent pricing as well.

Just my kind of place : ) Great atmosphere to work remotely, study, and take my teen kids to get some homework done. Additionally, this cafe is great to have a great time together with the family since they have a bunch board games available to play.

The service was wonderful. They were friendly and listened when taking your order. The atmosphere was nice, they had board games and things to do while you wait or drink your coffee or eat. The only reason the review is a 3 star, our order consisted of three coffees (one cold and two hot)and an apple danish. While the outside of the danish was good it did not have hardly any filling. The coffee was decent, there was nothing that really set it apart to make it different. The flavor was not all there unfortunately, and it tasted more like drip coffee rather than espresso.
