We live nearby and have tasted food (not the ribs) from here bought by others, but this was out first time visiting. We picked up food through the drive thru. We purchased the pork ribs, loaded baked potato, and side of mac and cheese. All of the food was excellent. The ribs were the best I ever had from a restaurant. My son enjoyed the mac and cheese. The loaded backed potato was large enough for two servings so definitely had leftovers. The only downside is the location is so close to my home but difficult to get out due to the left turn required across Jones Rd, which can be impossible depending on the time of day. Regardless we enjoyed our meal and hope to return soon.

I ate too fast to get a picture. Got 1 loaded brisket potatoes. The meat was flavorful. I'm full. My friend got a baked potato they used no sauce it was fire. Will go back soon.

This place doesn't look like much on the outside, the parking lot is a mess and its on a super busy intersection... But man you have to try this place. The food is delicious! The lady at the counter is shouting to the back to get your order ready even as you're saying it, and they are really fast. I think it's family owned but i'm not sure - but I can tell you that they are extremely nice, good people in there. Definitely 5 stars.

Ordering for a Family?...Ask for their family pack menu because they have it! Their baked potatoes are fire, especially if you do half and half meats like brisket and jalapeno sausage. I love that they include fixings with take out, their drive through is fast, service is family friendly, and their pineapple jalapeno ribs are delicioso 😋

Love love love! Friendly staff. I found this little gem by accident and I will definitely go back. Prices are reasonable and you get a lot of food. The ribs are falling off the bone. And the baked potatoes are big. I loved their homemade bbq sauce. I only wish I had taken a picture when I was there.

I don't normally write reviews unless I have a bad experience somewhere. But i was looking up the number to call in an order here and actually think these guys deserve a quick review. Service is perfect. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Food is always on point. I've tried just about everything, but return for the brisket and ribs. Ribs are dry rub, not smothered in sauce. Mac n Cheese is awesome. Baked beans has chunks of beef in it that make it perfect. The price is a steal for how much food you get. I don't see how people can complain when a cheeseburger meal at fast food is $6-$8. And for a couple dollars more you can eat here and get enough food to eat twice and not feel guilty afterwards. Try this place, you won't be disappointed.

The lean brisket here is the best I've ever put in my mouth. ...and I'm a Texan, so I've eaten a lot of brisket!!! The mac n cheese and baked beans sides are very good too. The atmosphere could definitely use some sprucing up. The people here are the nicest people you'll see ANYWHERE!

Their baked potato is good and it’s the most reasonably priced menu item in NW Houston. I will be coming back due to their pricing being reasonable. I will recommend to friends looking for a quick lunch to come here.

Wow!! I just picked up 2 pounds of pulled pork. I have to say that this is the best pulled pork I have found since moving to Texas. Being a retired police officer from Memphis, I have had some excellent BBQ. Kudos to the staff and the ones responsible for the delicious pork. I would recommend this place to everyone.

This place is phenomenal! I've been a client for 2 years. They have the best beef ribs and moist briskests I have ever tasted. Make sure to request the pineapple glaze for a sensational experience. The restaurant staff is kind and always smiling. The food is delicious and at a fair price. I know live in Midtown and drive up here just for the delicious food and extraordinary staff. This is the best BBQ place I've ate in my entire life. Their meat ( ribs)was so hot and tender, not to mention the bbq baked potatoes was so delicious and full of flavor. Well worth the price too..lots of meat and toppings. I wouldn't even say it's expensive for all you get! One potato is two meals for me! Best ribs in Cypress, Texas! OMG you have to try their ribs. I’ve had the pork spare ribs and the St. Louis style ribs and they are excellent. The potato salad is really good and the banana pudding is really really really good 👍🏾. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of ribs, either a half rack or a full rack. Seriously I’ve been in Texas for a year and these are by far the best ribs I’ve had. The service and the people working are also great. I highly recommend you check them out. You can thank me later.

First time at this new place, and I'm reasonably impressed. Tried a wide variety of their fare and enjoyed all of it .The mac n cheese is super cheesy, the green beans had sizable chunks of ham and a great flavor. The jalapeno sausage had some kick, but wasn't too hot to be good. The brisket (moist) was tasty, and the ribs were almost falling off the bone. All in all, great place. I'm sure I'll be coming here again, and I'm looking forward to them adding the delivery service.

I decided to try one of the cakes today called St.Louis Gooey, I have not had a slice of cake this good in a very long time!! My mom and I love this place. They always serve the brisket lean never any gristle or fat. This really is a gem. The traffic coming in-and-out of the parking lot can get a little rough so prepare your nerves for some patients. I promise it's worth it. They offered dine in and a drive-through. You also can call your to go order in and they will have it ready for you at the window. There isn't a difference in price at any time of the day. And when it comes for barbecue in the area this is a go to must. Oh the unsweet tea actually taste like unsweet tea it doesn't have that weird lemon or other weird flavor it just tastes like unsweet tea. This is one of those places that you wanna get them a gift at Christmas time because they are so amazing.

I'm for Chicago and I have been looking for rib tips and they have them! I am never disappointed with it's ribs. Everything was perfect! From the rib tips to the jalapeno sausage to the pork ribs you literally can't go wrong. I definitely recommend!

Their beef ribs were fantastic! So was their Mac and cheese. I would also recommend the pork, really everything is worth trying! The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. I think they are a little overpriced for how much you get. But it is really good.

Many of my coworkers and I go here on a regular since they opened and we love it. The food is great its not smoked too much and they do concern themselves with not using too much salt because of the diverse customers. I appreciate being able to spruce up my own food being I have high blood pressure. Now I will say they need to teach the workers the barbecue sauce because it is changing too much as the cooks change. They also need to think of expansion along with the occasional employee that takes it upon themselves to try to reduce the amount of meat in your breakfast tacos when the management is not in. They should also offer a green salad for the customers who can not eat the offered side items. The manager Dave is awesome and friendly while listening to any concerns about the business. I was reading the other reviews on here and realized that it must be other establishments giving bad reviews ( Shame on You).

It is a good restaurant with a nice old timey feel. I gave 4 stars because I felt like the food was so so. Everyone else I know loves it though. It might just be a personal preference thing. The service was really good and they played great blues music which was a plus. Definitely worth a try if you like ribs or barbecue in general and see for yourself.

Really good bbq - not much seating inside though (it's an old Pizza Hut). The quality used to be sort of uneven, but it's always solid now. Sauce is on the sweet side - potatoes are huge. Better quality than the chains, but if you got more than 4 people you're not gonna fit.

Good ribs at a great price. Tender but not falling apart. Could use a bit more seasoning if you prefer no sauce. However, a friend and I polished off a rack in record time. Will definitely drop by this local spot frequently.

When I first entered I noticed the concrete floor was kind of startup and I wasn't sure it was the place that I was going to enjoy. However the owner was that the cash register and he suggested the pork ribs so I got a brisket pork rib plate with coleslaw and baked beans. I prefer my barbecue a little bit more spicy. They only had one choice of barbecue sauce and it was a sweet kind that needed a little bit of salt. But, the meat was well-cooked and tasty and I enjoyed my meal. I had a perfect amount and was full when I left. I particularly liked the artistic and Easy-to-Read menu board and the music that was playing was BB King bluesville on Sirius and I love that Ambiance for my meal. Its Ribs also has three mid-sized wide screens that were tuned to sports and while the volume was not up I could have watched Golf and women's college basketball or an interview show. I was eating on Sunday afternoon around 4 and was the only person in the restaurant when I sit down a family of three came in and got what look to be pulled pork sandwiches that looked absolutely delicious with the amount of meat in the big soft bun. Two other customers came in and got orders to go. I was in and out in 40 minutes and are leisurely.

I had a combo plate with sliced brisket, pork ribs, baked beans and mac n cheese. Service was polite and fast. Pork ribs were fall off the bone tender, juicy and very good. Sliced brisket was good, nothing special. Beans and mac n cheese were ok. I would come back for the pork ribs.

I had to try "It's Ribs" on Jones Rd at FM1960. I went intending to try their pork ribs, especially given the name of the place. But when I got there and saw that they had beef ribs too, my mind was instantly changed. I also had to try the brisket. The beef ribs were very good - moist, flavorful and tender. Now they're not as good as at the proverbial Mecca for beef ribs - Louie Mueller in Taylor. But the beef ribs were very good; well worth the trip. The brisket on the other hand was not that impressive. To be fair I did order lean brisket - so I expected it to be a little dry. But the flavor just wasn't that good either. Fortunately I had asked to try the jalapeño glaze they use on their pork ribs, and that helped the brisket quite a bit. Regarding sides, both the beans and potato salad were excellent. Net net - as obvious as it sounds, when you go to a place called It's Ribs, just stick with the ribs. And I will be back soon to try the St Louis pork ribs...

My ribs were just okay. The jalapeno marinade was excellent, but the meat itself wasn't that great. It was too fatty and chewy with not very much actual meat. The sides were standard fair and fine. Service was fast and friendly.

Sad, sad plate. I asked for a one meat, brisket plate (point/moist meat only) and received a DRY and FLAVORLESS brisket. The gumbo was just okay. The potatoes were pretty good, however. The customer service was great, but they may want to invest in their property and fix the paeking/drive through, pot holes everywhere.

I went with It's Ribs for their 4 star review but was kind of disappointing. I ordered a two meat plate with pork ribs and brisket (regular, not lean). The brisket was really really good. It was very moist, flavorful, and smokey. The ribs were a huge let down. They were dry and flavorless. It seems they put only a little rub on it which is not a quality rub and never sauce the ribs. The rub remains like a gritty paste. Mac and cheese and potato salad sides were as expected. The texas toast was soggy. The price was too steep. $15 for a two meat plate with portion sizes that leave your stomach satisfied but not your wallet. For the price, it's just not there.

The beef ribs are excellent! They are very tender! The mac and cheese is some of the best around! The other food is okay at best and can be "hit or miss". The green beans tastes like they come from a can. They use bacon bits on their potatoes (not actual bacon). The BBQ sauce is runny and hard to keep on the meat. The glazes they offer are terrible. The service is friendly and helpful. Fresh onions, pickles, and jalapeños are available. I also wish they would make the place look less like a bar and more like a restaurant, especially from the outside.

I visit here about 2 times a month, I rotate between the chopped beef potato and sliced beef sandwich.. today's visit the price potato price had jumped 5 dollars. I noticed when placing my order all the prices were blacked out.. I understand inflation but what upset me is the lady at the window who tried to make me believe the prices had only risen 2 dollars... ma'am you do know your original prices are online under YOUR STORE WEBSITE, right?That's a 5 dollar jump not 2.

I have loved this place for a long time. But recently, the meats have become increasingly dry. Flavor is great as always, but seems like items have sat too long prior to order. I understand it's difficult to estimate demand for items that spend hours on the pit, but I miss the fresh off the pit goodness. And I wish they would bring back the giant beef ribs!

Ate there before Covid. Haven't gone back. The sauce is really awful. Could not figure out what it tasted like. Dark red, but tasted like soy sauce and espresso. Really bad. The lean brisket was very good however.

Went for the first time to pick up dinner from "It's Ribs" for the first time. Wasn't able to enter the building (obvious reasons), and took the drive through. Service was fast, polite, and the prices are good. However, when I got home and opened the food it looked, and tasted like it was yesterdays food (warmed up). The flavor was good BUT I expect food cooked on the same day I order it. Will most likely return but hope this was a one off experience.

Its Ribs was very quiet and the ribs were good but it didn’t have a smokey flavor that I was looking forward to. The service was helpful in refilling their iced tea and giving us our order. I enjoyed my potato salad and green beans with ham.

Small little restaurant that’s really never busy. The macaroni and beans were delicious and the service was friendly. The jalapeño sausage was alright but The moist brisket was still a bit dry and some of it was hard. (The dark red parts) in my opinion not worth 14$ for two sides and two meats. The bbq sauce was more of a sweet bland sauce. This is my second time visiting and probably will not return.

Their website is incorrect. Their breakfast tacos were so good. It said they open at 9 o'clock a.m. and still listed breakfast tacos. When I got there they were closed and I called about 11 o'clock a.m. and the lady told me they no longer have breakfast tacos and they don't open until 11. Had not been to this location in of about 6 months or so. Don't know why they discontinued breakfast tacos but O well.

The service was excellent: very friendly and nice people served us. The food, though... Um, look: I'm no chef, but have you ever considered using salt and pepper? Or maybe marinating your chicken before cooking it? It was very tender, yeah, but nothing had any flavor AT ALL. The chicken was very dry, and the sausage wasn't completely cooked... You'd be a great place if you'd only season the stuff: c'mon!

Tried it for the first time last night and the ribs were not good. Burnt on the outside and a little too pink on the inside and no flavor at all. Green beans were such a disappointment, straight out of a can, and the sausage they throw in there? gee I’ve never tried anything as tasteless as that. The potato salad was okay. The bbq sauce they use is weird, not traditional bbq sauce at all and not good enough to be anything innovative. The gumbo was good. The customer service was very good. Someone on here said the green beans were fresh and let me just say those green beans came straight out of a can. Their German chocolate cake is good. I won’t eat here again though. Overall disappointed with this place. :/

Last night 12/7 I proudly brought my family visiting from Colorado, to experience one of my favorite barbecue places. I was so disappointed. The cashier was EXTREMELY RUDE and VERY UNHELPFUL. When we had questions about the menu, she slammed the paper menu down and only pointed at the big sign(she was a real great help) We came in at 7:15 pm. While we were dining she needed to mop right at our table splashing bleach on our shoes. We asked that she not mop right here at the moment and her response was “I’m making sure I get out of here right at 9 when we close”..... it was 7:43 when we were eating. I felt very rushed and embarrassed I brought my family here to eat. I will not be returning until you can find a more friendlier cashier who will actually want to be at work. It was the worst rushed experience ever. We thanked her when she came to our table with no respons and a eye roll. She’s killing your business. It’s not a good look. The food is good but service is terrible. I’ll go elsewhere!

The baked potato is delicious! The “moist” brisket was not very moist and the jalapeño sausage was dry and flavorless and had a strange color. The prices are high for the quality of meat. I also tried the ribs-they are good, but a very small amount of meat. They also messed up my order and gave me two wrong sides with the Plates.

First of all you can barely see this place at night because it's so low lit. The food wasn't even considered average salt and pepper nonexistent on the table they gave me those little teeny salt and pepper packets why? The barbecue had absolutely no flavor at all neither did the barbecue sauce. I or the baked potato it was pretty much lukewarm it took a while for my butter to melt. I would not recommend this barbecue place I'm sorry but this is a true review. I will never go back.

Love aupporting blk owned businesses. I've never bought food and immediately thrown it away in my life. I couldn't even give to the homeless in good conscious. 1. I pulled up and didn't smell BBQ 2. They opened the drive thru window I still didn't smell BBQ. 3. When I brought the bag of food in the car myself and the kids all said ewww what's that smell. I opened the bag and it was worst. Idk ifit was old meat or they soaked old meat in vinegar. The sauces were nasty like a bunch of stuff mixed together with scotch bonnet peppers and hate. Lol. I'm serious. The meat was boiled had no smoke lines. Sausage was boiled no BBQ flavor. We couldn't eat it. The ooey gooey cake was good but not fresh. I think they need to take the Stl name off that food. Bc we don't cook BBQ like that. I won't be back never. It use to be good food and the parking lot used to be full. It was empty.

I’ll never order food from here again. My son Threw up really bad after having the gumbo and had a stomach ache and stomach issues after eating the gumbo. Also, I ordered brisket and they gave me that rib tips that was horrible. Plus the sauce is not good at all ever go there again good luck anybody else.

I had been told this was a good place to eat,I was visiting. The service friendly and quick, the food was the worse I have eaten. From a southern state I thought the food would be on hit, so disappointed ☹️. The meal cost over $30. 00 it was the worst. The ribs no taste, fatty, the sausage like it had been in heating unit starting to turn dull grey no flavor. The BBQ sauce was water down , potatoes salad like mashed potatoes with eggs in it. The one star is for the brisket but the rest the photos explains itself discolored meat! Im new to Houston and this is not the first time I’ve seen this There is only one Barbecue place and it’s off of Highway six and it’s a food truck that’s the only one that has satisfied my hunger for BBQ and it doesn’t have a smoke flavor at all! $40 down the drain! I'm so mad I have to give this place a 1. This has to be the worst meat I've ever tasted. No smoke, no seasoning, no flavor, no effort. The meat was old..however the bun was spectacular. That's the only scent that came from the 4 ribs. This is a disgrace. To be on Jones and 1960 is a total waste. Please shut it down and let a real BBQ restaurant come. it's ribs is a major NO!!!!!!!

This place is nasty sausage was cooked in microwave ribs were cold potatoes salad has a spoiled smell. I will never return here again. No manager with the workers this place got one star only to leave a review. Now I know why there is never anyone there because of the food.

I’ll cut straight to it: the atmosphere is terrible (dark and dated) and (it was super hot - seemed like the air conditioner was not on) - fans were working, the service was bad and the food was horrible. I ordered a baked potato and it took 20 minutes for me to receive it. I sat in front and (after the person working the register walked past me several times) they didn’t realize I had not received my order. He even came to the table with the wrong order - at that moment I stated that I ordered a potato with beef no bacon. Once received it was filled with chopped fatty beef. A guy was working in the kitchen, had a wave cap on of some sort. He had on an apron, however did not have on a hair net. That was clearly visible. The pickles, onions, etc., need to be individually packed (in a small plastic container with a lid). That area looks like a “Covid” mess. The setting, vibe and dated decore felt like we were filming an episode of the “Heat of the Night”. I’ll never go back or recommend this place.

It’s RIBs is not it. Flavor is far off. No flavor on its meat. Brisket Ribs chicken ect. Sides were way off as well. The company has took a turn backwards. I would invest in someone that knows how to cook and pay them what they are worth. Add some flavor to your sauce and meat. Hire a cook. ASAP That’s for starters. It makes sense why I only seen 3 customers inside. 1 star for me. Because you were open and your restrooms were clean. Please get someone that knows how Barbecue

My first visit, I got the baked potato with brisket. The potato was big, and the meat was fine. They gave me a big cup of barbecue sauce that tasted absolutely disgusting. It was like they heated up some water and poured a little barbecue sauce into it and then proceeded to stir it up. I’m not usually super picky about this sort of thing, but that was legit nasty. The 2nd time I went there, I just wanted to grab one of their pre-made desserts (the gooey cake or whatever) and be on my way. There was a guy in the back who saw me, but no one was at the register. I just stood there patiently waiting. The dude in the back looked at me multiple times, with a look that I can only describe as annoyingly apathetic, and just continued chilling out back there. I kid you not, I waited a good 5 minutes before he finally came out to the register, after an eternity of ignoring me. Nah man. I ain’t ever going back to this place and quite frankly I’m not even sure how they’re still in business with terrible service like this.

This place sucks badly and I don't understand they are still around selling food that taste like this! The food is really horrible and I don't even think they barbecue the meat that long. There is no smoke ring on any of there meat. So I think it's put in some oven.

Watch the prices very carefully here. The prices on the menu are completely different when you call in for an order, than what's on the menu. They literally just come up with random prices. Online, it states the 8-person family deal is $73, but they told me it was something like $120. They said the price just went up. Online, the Texas Toast is $4/loaf, but they said it was $6. They also said it wasn't Texas Toast but white bread... So confused! We had a big order with family in town but had to switch over to Spring Creek Barbeque. Which was the price they stated on their menu. They have to be losing money with these tactics, as I am not the only one who went elsewhere after this same issue.

Let's start with the positive; the drive-thru service, baked beans, and texas toast was good. I ordered chicken, moist brisket, and regular sausage and all of it was tasteless; no seasoning at all. The sausage tasted like vienna sausage on steroids. The brisket doesn't look like brisket; it has to be another meat they're passing off as brisket and it had a bad smell. And the chicken, I asked for dark meat and I honestly don't know what I got. The potato salad was not made in-house; it was grainy and very mushy, like it had been traveling for days in the sun! I did taste the brisket and "vienna sausage" but, not much because visions of an ER visit kept popping up in my head warning me not to eat anymore. This disaster costed me $23 and some change. Hopefully, my trash will like it. I totally wasted my money! The pictures show exactly how my food came to me.

Where do I start 🤦🏽‍♀️. This place was always avoided by me due to the bad reviews but someone purchased this for because they know that I love bbq. Well, as for all of those bad reviews…. BELIEVE THEM!!!!! Let me start off by saying that the ribs are tender but when I say it has ZERO smoke flavor I mean ZERO! No seasoning and the sausage taste like spam with a oddly pink middle. The “sauce” was God awful! Honestly yuck, will NEVER return and PLEASE for goodness sake SMOKE YOUR MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister recommended this place to me since I love ribs, and they had some amazing baked potatoes when she used to go there. After showing my sister what we got, she was like, "No, they changed" lol. They no longer have beef ribs due to the increased prices on that meat. It didn't taste like freshly cooked food. We were really hungry, but still thru most of it in the trash. Not sure what happened but I was not impressed
