Kim's Teahouse Houston Reviews
First time in and my almond milk tea was so yummy!!!! Found my new tea house spot!!! Good menu
I accidentally found this place several months ago when craving for a taro smoothie. I love all of their snacks: chicken bits (I love that they give you plenty of basil in here! 😋), egg rolls, calamaris. The food here actually tastes really good, better than many Chinese tapioca places I go so this is now my go to place. Great services here too!
This is my favorite Kim’s Teahouse location. I never have to wait too long and my drink is always yummy. I usually go for the milk tea (my favorite is the brown sugar milk tea, can never go wrong with that!). The place is always clean and everyone is nice every time I’ve been here. Plus I never have to struggle for parking. I always look forward to stopping by when I’m in Houston
Quick Opinion - ,good selection of Texas and drinks. They serve a small menu of food that pairs well with the drinks Long Review - food I had was popcorn chicken. Seasoned well with basil leaves and a bit salty overall flavor. The honeydew smoothie i got paired with it well. Staff was professional and quick. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The smoothie I had was perfectly made with the right amount of everything in it. Will definitely return and recommend you give it a try too!
This is my new favorite Teahouse in Houston. They do not skimp on the boba. They have wide variety of flavors. I have never been disappointed with a drink. They have a frequent drinker card, so you get one free after purchasing 10. Today was my first time trying the food. So I got squid balls and popcorn chicken. Both were delicious but BEWARE! They will ask you about level of spiciness for both snacks. I like heat so I said medium. It was So Hot that I felt my chest on fire! Will not make that mistake again. Next time I will order with no heat at all for squid balls and maybe mild for chicken. They were out of calamari. My husband enjoyed his BBQ pork Bahn Mi. What TO get: All drinks have been great. For newbies: Jasmine green tea with Matcha boba or Strawberry Smoothie with regular boba. What NOT to get: Extra Spicy on the snacks!
Fantastic Popcorn Chicken and Bubble Teas. We used to spend our Sundays here working on schoolwork. We always got popcorn chicken and honey milk tea. When we moved further away I missed it and went to various teahouses looking for the same kick I got from the popcorn chicken here. I was starting to think I had just overhyped it my head. A year later and the popcorn chicken here is still without compare. I just tried it again today and it is still as fantastic as I remember. Do yourself a favor and get it, especially if you like spicy chicken. I always get medium and it's spicy enough for me and there's still two more heat levels.
Love this place for their popcorn chicken. Their drinks taste like any other boba shop but the main reason I would go out of my way to go here is for the chicken.
I ordered popcorn chicken, calamari, and oolong cream tea. I really liked their popcorn chicken. They put a lot of basil and not too much breading and the chicken is flavored and juicy. On the other hand calamari is over breading and due to over breading calamari is harder to chew and swallow. The most disappointed part is with the tea. The tea flavor is not enough which taste watery and they use cream that have this artificial taste. I would try their coffee drinks next time.
They need to make adjustments to their menu my daughter loves the fried cheese puffs however they are falsely advertising on the menu that the cheese puffs come as an order of 8 and it's actually only six. They are delicious but please fix this it is false advertisement. I specifically asked the gentleman who was taking my order and ringing me up that it was 8 he confirmed that it was however when I got home it was only six on the order.
It was my first time trying their Boba (Milk tea). It was my worst experience. I got severely sick that I had to cancel my plans. My stomach kept hurting and my whole body was in pain. This never happened to me with other tea houses that I tried. My friends were also with me, they also got sick and had the same symptoms. They were all feeling nauseous. This is not ok if they're serving bad quality foods and drinks to their customers.
Got smoothies today, it was very chalky. It did not taste like how they did before. Been to this location many times prior, this time is was so chalky and unbearable to drink. Please retrain your staff.
