Kumo Sushi Houston Reviews
The new top dog! This place has the best sushi I have had in a while. They have a lunch menu that does not include a lot of what I normally order, so I usually use the dinner menu. It is more expensive, but worth it.
REALLY good food, for really good prices! Got two orders of eel sashimi and got way more than I was expecting, especially for the price, so that was a very nice surprise! The Harumaki are delicious, love the sauce that comes with it. Lychee tea so good, mmmmm! The miso soup is probably one of my favorites in restaurants I've tried around where I live, I really don't know why it took me so long to eat here. Everything was fantastic and it was fast. This place is really good!
Ahh this place was just plain awesome looking! I had planned to come for the AYCE Sushi for lunch but I was given the lunch special side of the menu first. But that’s OK, I got the three sushi lunch special and that was delicious. I recommend the shrimp tempura & the spicy tuna rolls! I kept wanting to try the other rolls, but to be honest, I kept going back to them, when I got another set of rolls. so for me personally spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura were my favorites! I also enjoy the miso soup and salad as well. That salad was very fresh and tasty. The one downside and it’s the only downside is that they had Pepsi products and not Coke products. But overall, sushi was 100 out of 100
100 stars all around, I left here so happy. $30 for all you can eat sushi and if you want to take any home I think it was like .50 a roll. Everything we tried was bursting with flavor and I think about this place ALOT.
Amazing AYCE sushi spot. Fish is always fresh, rolls come out fast, and everything tastes clean and well-prepared. The staff is friendly and keeps checking on us without being annoying. Definitely one of the best sushi places in the area.
My friend and I came to eat here one day and was so happy with the quality of the sushi for it being a all you can eat. I am a little particular with my sushi, but I was so happy with everything I ate here! The restaurant ambiance itself was very nice lots of natural lighting, sushi bar was huge, we did choose to sit in a booth, they were very clean and comfortable. Our server was very quick and checked on us often. Everything was amazing. So so yummy! They have plenty of cooked and raw options on the all you can eat menu. We also ordered the Kani salad and seaweed salad and they were phenomenal! They also had green tea ice cream was so good!
We found this place while waiting on our baby to get through NICU. We were really glad to have found this! All you can eat appetizers, sushi, and hibachi. The servers are friendly and the food gets to the table really quickly! For the price you get really high quality fish and great tasting food! We would suggest this for all sushi lovers and especially to new moms that are having their first sushi in a while. We will return!
As always the experience was great! The food super tasty and fresh. I have been at several sushi buffet but this one I like at lot. They bring the fresh sushi at your table and you can reorder several times. The food is done at the moment. The decoration of the place is very cozy. I recommend. If you love sushi you will enjoy this place. Just be aware they have more cooked/tempura sushi than raw, but very very good. Staff very friendly and polite! Love this place
Came here for lunch with my husband and was pleasantly surprised. Since it came into new management, we've been eager to try out their all you can eat sushi. The lunch menu was limited but still has a lot of great options. Our favorites were the spicy garlic edamame, the shaggy dog roll, crazy roll, and the crab puffs. Staff was super friendly, and the food comes out really quickly. Overall a great meal, would recommend this place if you are a sushi lover.
Saw this place after shopping & decided to give it a try! I love the set up of the restaurant. Very nice & spacious. You don’t feel like you’re crowded up with other guests. I got the Rock’N Roll & Chicken Crunchy Roll. The ginger was sooooo fresh! Unfortunately, I didn’t like the chicken crunchy roll at all but the other one was amazing! My mom got the chicken & steak hibachi w/veggies & rice. It was delish! I would definitely come back & try different menu options!
You cannot beat the quality for the price and then add on great service. Our waiter and the manager, along with the rest of the waitstaff were beyond friendly, helpful and attentive. Our water glasses were always filled, our table was always cleared and we were never ignored. $18.95 all you can eat for lunch — even on a Saturday. Sushi was fresh and tasted great. Rice wasn’t sticky—but that was minimal. Appetizers were small and perfect size to get a taste of everything. FYI—buffalo wings were delicious. Tempura was lovely. 100 percent happy. We’ll definitely be back with booze in hand. As of 10/29/2022, it’s BYOB since they don’t have their liquor license, yet.
I will be back! I did the AYCE sushi and it was delicious. The menu has a tons of options and please beware of the waste food fee(which I think is awesome). The service was the weak link but I will say that she acknowledged her tardiness it just didn't get better... however the Tiger eye and fried banana amazing.
I love this restaurant so much & wish they had a location in the woodlands & in sugarland. The staff is fantastic, attentive, and The All You Can Eat special and Lunch special are both great. The portions are generous, and they have what feels like their own twist by frying the sushi rolls. It makes it interesting. Everything is freshly served. There's no rotating food items, so the food goes straight from the kitchen to your table. So Freeesshhh! My only complaint that I have is this place, specifically the restrooms, is that it smell like butt and kinda ruins the mood & kills my stomache/appetite bc the drains need to be cleaned. If you don't sit next to it then it's fine. You Can smell that they do clean the restaurant, it's just the drain/plumbing needs to be serviced. I'll happily update my review when this issue gets fixed
We were here for my brother's birthday. We had 15+ in our group. Ordering was kind of disorganized, but they did they best they could. Something I did not like is the forced 20% gratuity. On their menu it says party of 6 or larger 18% gratuity. I questioned them about the 20% gratuity and they said they charge it for group of 10 or higher. I have no problem paying for gratuity but this feels like taking advantage of the situation. No where they have marked 20% gratuity for party of 10 or higher. Or they failed to show me because I did ask. Wouldn't recommend for large groups
My second visit to this location unfortunately left me feeling very sick afterward. We arrived about three hours before closing, and the sushi seemed dry and was falling apart, especially the salmon, which tasted off. While the drinks were strong, some had a smell similar to cleaning products. This experience was disappointing and concerning, and because of it I don’t feel comfortable returning.
