La Sicilia Houston Reviews
Pastries are to die for! Everything so delicious. Price is a bit steep. Such a large selection of foods and traditional Italian cookies !
This is the bakery in Houston! Hands down perfection in a beautiful shop. They prepared a beautiful dessert menu for our Christmas family dinner. It was spectacular in every way! Pastry, cookies, cannolis, & beautiful tarts out of this world. Every morsel was amazing. Not too sweet, truly their bakers are artist. They made our Christmas. I can’t thank them enough. They knew what I needed and came through. If there was a Michelin Star for bakeries, they would have it. Don’t take my word for, go in and see everything I’ve post is right & true. Also a plus…the entire staff were kind and helpful.
Visited La Sicilia for the first time today (never really eaten at a bakery) but the owner gave me a recommendation and did not disappoint at all. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly, and it was a very cute bakery. All the sweets at the counter looked like delicious pieces of art. If you want a good sandwich/calzone or something sweet.. this is the place to go! 10/10 would recommend 👌🏼
La Sicilia has an amazing variety of top notch Italian pastries! I highly recommend checking this place out. Their cannolis are incredible, but overall, I don’t think you can go wrong! Get there early for the full selection because they sell out fast!
Great bakery with a unique selection and really good service. I got the Dulce de leche coffee cake twist which was pretty good and paired well with coffee/tea. Also got the Oreo cheesecake bomboloni which was massive but tasted alright. The traditional cannoli with chocolate chips was also pretty good but not the best you’ll have. Kind of expensive but solid spot Have went back a few times and the things we always like the best happen to be their Italian cookies
My family loves LaSicilia Bakery & Cafe! A friend told me about them, and we have been going since 2024. They have some of the most delicious and beautifully decorated desserts in Houston, and the service is great! When we make a trip to the store, we try to get a variety of desserts because we live outside the city and are always pleased with our selections. They will help you make the right selections if you are unsure of what to get. The pictures included are over the period of several visits.
This was our first time at La Sicilia, we had the Caprese Sandwich and the Chef Special Sandwich. They were served warm and were absolutely delicious. On the way out we bought some Sfogliatella and two Bomboloni (one stuffed with Nutella and the other with Cannoli cream). The atmosphere was very friendly and there was so much to look at !!
Came here before work on Valentine’s Day to pick up some pastries to take into the office. There were a couple of people in line in front of me but I didn’t have to wait too long. When it was my turn, I asked the woman helping me to choose 6 of their most popular items. She happily made recommendations for me and everyone at the office really enjoyed them. The only item I purchased that people didn’t absolutely love was the tiramisu. The best items I purchased were probably the Nutella and raspberry pinwheel and the Italian sausage focaccia. Will for sure be making a repeat trip but will likely be sticking to the pastry case next time!
Was picking up a delivery here yesterday and you walk in and it smells amazing. The employees were very nice and engaging, and the selection all looked so enticing. I got a croissant the size of my hand and the baker said she makes turkey sandwiches with them and so that's what I did. It was delicious! The buttery croissant warmed up was amazing! Can't wait to try more of their stuff!
Best Cannolis ever! I went a bit later in the day, so there was not a lot of menu items left to choose from. However, what they did have looked amazing! I suggest going a bit earlier in the day in order to get the best variety of choices. It's a small space, but they do have some seating if you'd like to dine in. They share a parking lot with several other businesses, but I managed to find a space. I think that even if it takes you a minute to get a parking spot, this place is definitely worth the effort. Very friendly service and delicious food that looks almost too good to eat. This place definitely deserves a solid five stars!
This was our first visit. Everything we tried was fresh and wonderful! I had the pistachio apricot pastry, and all the flavors were there wrapped in a delicate pastry with just the right balance of light flakiness and "chew". Everything was beautiful! Our coffees were full flavored and had just the right amount of sweetness ....when asked if we wanted sugar. My aunt's Red Eye was perfect to her taste! I want to go back soon to try the sandwiches! This is a definite repeat go back to place!!! 👍 The staff were so patient and helpful! Great place!!!
Beautiful coffee and bakery shop. Smell nice inside. Service could be improved by smiling more but overall is ok. Communication is there. Clean place. Bread is tasty. Coffee is ok, i have a better place for coffee. Price $15 for machiato and 1 bread. I might be back if i have extra coins to spare from my weekly allowance.
I was craving pistachio cannoli but found the covered ones to be a little too sweet, very nice crunch though, huge cannoli. The cream puff was nice, I’m a huge fan of their cream, it’s denser and also not overly sweet. I really wanted to comment on the crème brûlée bun, it looked so good and I couldn’t resist. At first bite it was disappointing, tasted dry, HOWEVER, when I reheated the leftover bun in the air fryer, it was HEAVENLY!!!! The dough was so pillowy, bouncy, yet so soft, just tasted like they use high quality ingredients, I would go back just for the bun!!
Food & Atmosphere are excellent. But service is below average. I don't know if its when I go there but everytime I go they make you feel that I am bothering them when i ask them a question. I spend my money I expect to be treated kindly not rude. This will be the last time i go there even if there food is that good.
Came in here as I was wanting to try their deserts in hopes of liking it and placing a large order in a couple months for a wedding. As soon as my partner and I walked in with my service animal (they had a sign of no pets, only service animals allowed), two employees got very hostile by demanding I present a tag for my service animal which is in direct violation of the ADA. Both employees continued to be argumentative stating they had gotten a ticket and we would have to present this to them in order to stay. At no point did either employees ask any of the two questions they are allowed to ask pertaining service animals. Not only was this humiliating as there were other customers around but caused unnecessary distress.
Bug in my pastry. This was only my second visit here. I really enjoyed the food the first time, but on this visit I found a bug in my pastry. I live over an hour away and because this finding left me uneasy I don’t think I’ll be making the drive again. Wish I would have noticed this sooner before leaving.
