The fish and shrimp are seasoned and fried to perfection. You dont need to add any condiments. I drive from the NE side of town, thats how good the food is.

The food is great here but if you come do get the fish and shrimp burgers are good as well as the chicken you'll love it good service and if you knew about the heat here in Houston is nice and cool

I was told not to go to this place but I did anyway and boy was it a great decision I’m there twice a week and the prices are some of the best.

Love their food! Always well seasoned and fresh! Married couple with 2 college kids....very friendly and funny! Especially the husband. The restaurant looks pretty weathered but the food is always very good to me.

I have dined at Navy Seafood for a few years. Before I became ill I was dining there at least 4 times a week. Now I dine there at least once a week and once on the weekend. One of the best you buy, we fry spots in Houston if you love catfish. What makes it special is the seasoning. Very flavorful! I'm there at least twice a month. *The neighborhood is suspect, so lock your car doors, but you didn't hear that from me. Snitches get Stitches....Smiling!

Delicious and fresh catfish and drum. Chicken wings are pretty good too. Fries are always good. I don't like the shrimp fried rice but I don't come here for that anyways.

Pass by this place all the time and finally decided to try it. Fish and oysters are fresh and also comes with fries and a salad. Paid about 8 bucks and left satisfied!! Highly recommend

Man, I love this place it's been around for ages for a reason. I would come here when I was on a budget in high school. This was my go-to that was 19 years ago. Stop in again recently, and nothing has changed. Great, FRESH SEAFOOD. The taste took me back you will feel like you are water side and just cought it yourself. Always 5 star's!!!!

Not crowded quiet, fish cooked well it was hot and crispy. The fries should be Fresh with every order I've experienced being served old fies on 2 visits. I recommend asking for fresh Fries. Over all this is my go to place for Fish that's not crowded.

While it doesn't look like much from the outside, Navy Seafood has incredibly fresh, well-seasoned fried fish. Even the fries were excellent, and that's usually an afterthought at a fried fish place. The owner is friendly and personable, and the prices are fair.

Jumbo shrimp and fried rice is off the chain, sorry I ate some of the shrimp. ☺️

Catfish and Shrimp was so good!!! Fried and seasoned to perfection!!! This was my first visit i live out of town, I went back 2 days later and it was just as good! My daughter and I and her roommates loved it and made this apart of our New Year's eve dinner! 10/10!!

Navy Seafood has delicious catfish and fries. A simple meal that went a long way. The size portions were just enough to share with my wife and for us to get full and take a little bit home to have for later. If I'm ever back in the area, I will stop by Navy Seafood and definitely support their business.

I haven't been here in years. I had a taste for some fish and I've always been satisfied with this place. The lady in the front still remembered me and still was nice as always. The food, to me haven't changed. The guy that's in one of the previous pictures was clowning with me while I picked up my order. i've read some of the comments and I can honestly say I've NEVER had any of those issues or I'd be the first one to find somewhere else to go. Never overcooked and never salty. As a matter of fact, my fries had no salt at all which is good because I love my sea and celtic salts. I'll be back.

The largest, freshest, meaty shrimp we ever ate. Deliciousness! The shrimp fried rice was delicious. What we like about the place too is that you never smelled the fishy smell. That’s just how fresh it is. I can’t wait to revisit!

Food: 4.5 You are getting fried food fried right, and it's fresh and tasty. It may all come out of a freezer bag for all I know but it's quality enough. Fries are the only thing that could use improvement but they're fine. Fried rice is killer. Chicken and fish are perfect. Service: 4 It's counter service. They'll take your order over the phone and have it ready for you. Very nice people and they don't take too long unless you order a lot of food. You can wait in the lobby though there is no dine-in anymore. The only issue is sometimes there are weirdos who hang out here and want to talk to you or pan handlers outside. Price: 5 Super cheap, great place for getting a load of stuff for a party without breaking the bank. You get more than you paid for.

Give your order and wait for it to be fresh cooked. Then take it home or to a table. Apparently owned or run by Viatamese who speak English and Spanish. They have egg rolls and rice. Reasonably priced.

Great conversation with the proprietors while I ordered. This was a favorite place of my dad's to stop by on his way to and from teaching courses at Texas Southern. Food is delicious too and the prices aren't unreasonable.

The double meat cheeseburger is both hearty and tasty. The owners are very friendly and community oriented.

This place is a little gem in the Tré! It's a Mom and Pop shop that has served the families of the Third Ward for many years. If your in a hurry, then it's not for you. They advertise," You buy. We fry", and that is exactly what they do. They make each order of seafood fresh rather than keep food under a heat lamp. The portions are generous for what you pay. You can always strike up a friendly conversation with another waiting customer as they, too, know the seafood is worth the wait. The platters come with fries, a small salad, and a slice of white bread. These are nothing to rave about to your Mama, but they're okay. The fried food is what your craving anyways!

I was running some errands in the area and went to this location for a meal. I ordered the fried oysters and fries in which it comes with that in addition to a couple of slices of bread. I am definitely an oyster girly and enjoy eating them fried, raw, bro, and any other way. The fried oysters were absolutely delicious and it had a very nice crunch to them.

Everything was tasty. Seasoned well and big servings make this place an attraction. Best to call your order ahead of your arrival. Service was fast and courteous. The inside needs to be remodeled, but that's not what we went for. So try not to plan to eat inside.

Not much to say it's ok, the food is decent nothing spectacular the 1st time I went in double digit years was the other day & I really enjoyed the pleasantness of the guy whom I am assuming is the owner which is why I gave 3 stars. However a few days later I went again & the lady that was there wasn't very receptive & lacked customer service & didn't give me my complete meal.

Navy Seafood, the fish orders are good, depending on the season they serve crawfish some shrimp. Most have great hamburgers and fries and under five dollars that's the kicker, served hot and tasty food Jack or Mack can't touch that!

Their prices are fair, the food i received was fried a little too hard for my liking. It was hot and fresh though. Of the 4 items the egg rolls were the best, then fries, then fish, then shrimp. I'll need to try these menu item again and more to see if this is a reoccurring thing or of they were off that day.

This place should be shut down! I have tried them several times and they still can't get the food right. My fish was dark,hard and very salty. I then tried a hamburger which was hard and over cooked. I was wondering why I never see many cars here, now I know why. The Navy on Scott St is much better. Won't be coming back here no more.

The taste of the fried trout was horrible! Just don't see how they are still in business. Tried giving them another chance which was a bad decision. That was surely my last visit there.

I stopped by to order a catfish plate. First time at this establishment. While sitting down, I smelled a funky/smelly odor coming from either the seat I was in or the table. Either way, cleaning would greatly improve the wait. Also, it was HOT inside, no A/C blowing whatsoever. I got my food in a reasonable time but it wasn't good to me. I didn't eat the fish, and that's a first because I don't believe in wasting food. I will not be returning.

Went inside this was my first time, waited about 5-10 minutes for someone to come and take my order,and that didn't happen. I could see 2 people working I guess getting orders together, but there was no one else in there to order but me. Anyway to make a long story short they never have to worry about me ever stopping by again.

I went to another location and was pleased with my meal, so I decided to try this one since I was in the area. Disappointed!!! I asked for a four piece catfish. I ended up with irregular fish pieces and I’m not even sure it was catfish. I bit into it in the parking lot and something was off. Tried to finish eating it when I got back to work and ended up just throwing it away. If it was catfish, it wasn’t that fresh catfish they have in the front. I should have figured something when I saw that I was the only customer there.
