I came for the reviews and left happy. I love a good poke bowl and this was an amazing experience. I was so pleasantly surprised to get a bowl of miso soup with my poke! I love that. They have fresh ingredients and great flavors. I was happy with the tuna quality and the sauce flavor combinations. The employee that helped me was good at mixing flavors according to your preferences. There was no one else in the restaurant when I got there and I think this place should have been packed. I want to go back and get a different bowl, sushi, or menu item. It’s a great small place in Houston with everything you could want. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place has an assortment of protein options and mix-ins with two size options at such a great price. They have unique fresh tasting sauce options and delicious toppings for your poke bowl. They also give a side soup for each entree that is so tasty!! They have great service and seem to have a lot of regulars. I usually take my meal to go so I'm not sure how it feels to sit and eat, but I will say that EVERY TIME I visit, whoever is sitting in the restaurant stares at me almost the whole time I'm ordering... maybe it's me.... just weird.

Great service. Lots of proteins including squid and eel. Toppings were super fresh. About $15 for a bowl with 5 small scoops of protein. Almost enough food for 2 meals. And they give you some miso soup. I eat a lot of Poke bowls and this was one of the best.

Had to stop midway while eating! This place is always delicious and worth every buck! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for the past three years and we’ve always left with a happy and full tummy. The complimentary miso soup is the cherry on top! And can’t forget to mention that the customer service is always wonderful~

I loooved this place! Poke bowls made fresh. had a 3 protein bowl for around 12$ I believe. Was so hungry I forgot to get photos of it but was very good. Also ordered sushi which was made fresh on the spot. Can't complain about anything here. very basic laid back restaurant!

the poke was amazing!! didn’t attempt to try the miso soup though- as i normally don’t like miso. even though he seemed reluctant to grill my salmon and corn together he still did so and it turned out to be great. will definitely be back!

This poke restaurant serves fresh and high quality ingredients. You build your own bowl with your choice of protein, rice and toppings like Subway. The poke was delicious. Was not impressed with the miso soup. It’s likely store bought and watered down. Other than that, I really enjoyed the service.

The protien selection was amazing (lots of options) and the poke was delicious. Miso soup came free with the meal. I'm not a big fan of miso soup but this can be a plus depending on the person. Drink selection came across rather limited to me, a fountain drink option would hit the spot good prices, competitive with most other places. solid 4/5. Do recommend

We had a great Poke' experience here. The restaurant is clean and the food tasted fresh. We all tried a variety of different combinations and of course we had to have masubi too. I couldn't get enough. I could eat Poke all day everyday.

Pros—they have two sizes and the regular has three protein ms, the large has five proteins. The cons, not the regular proteins were available. Sad they didn’t offer my fave—crab salad. The meat portions were smaller than expected. Everything tasted fresh. Good, but nothing extraordinary.

TLDR; Food is good. Service is unprofessional and stingy. I’ve been a Okome Don customer for yearssss. The past recent years have been frustrating. Though the bowls are good, they have significantly skimped on portion sizes. The male owner is extremely stingy and rude. I remember on one occasion when I came in person to order, I asked for kimchi and he places two pieces into the bowl. I kindly asked for extra kimchi and he sighed heavily and puts one more small piece. I looked at him and he stared at me. I told him I would have no problem paying extra if needed but I would like extra kimchi. He says it’s fine and puts two more pieces. I got annoyed at this point and just got out of there as quickly as I can. What I find frustrating is the female owner happily gave me extra kimchi when I asked “can i please have extra kimchi and i can pay extra” the first time and she said no additional charge would be necessary with a smile. I often order through doordash these days because of the possibility of interacting with the man again and he wrote on my food about the frustration he had with me asking for sauce on the side. He decided to upcharge me $2 for sauce when I have never been upcharged in person ever! I’m extremely frustrated with this establishment with the stinginess and professionalism from the male owner.
