Rice Coffeehouse Houston Reviews
Coffeehouse has delicious and affordable coffee and pastries. I especially love the Milky Way latte. Bruce was so nice and accommodating for my baby’s first visit!
I highly recommend this place because the prices are incredibly affordable. Coffee is basically half the price compared to elsewhere, and you must try their selection of bread and cakes. The prices are truly excellent
Wonderful if hidden gem at Rice campus. Even the drip coffee is remarkable, and the price will surprise for the superior quality. Definitely a must when you visit this school.
Excellent student run place. Always busy and the coffee is amazing. The one with the taste of pecan is my favorite 😁 pricewise is very affordable. If you bring your own mug you get your coffee for $1 which is a great deal if we consider the quality of it! I'm new in Houston but this place is already one of my favorite!
Cheapest and best coffee drinks ever!! The staff are so nice and cool. If you bring your own mug you get a discount. I have spent like so much time/money here. All worth it. The special drinks are very good and so are their Italian sodas.
Tried mangoo-peach and pomegranate smoothies here, and both were reasonably good! Their plain lemonade is great for the hot weather! And the vibe of being around Undergrads is always refreshing:D

Amazing student run business. Drinks are always good and service is great, though it can be slow at times, it just means that the business is popular! The barista Caroline went above and beyond to make sure my order was great. Thank you so much. Will come again!!!
Love love love Rice coffeehouse! Prices are cheaper than any other coffeeshop I've been to! Definitely tailored for a student experience, as the drink selection can be quite sweet, but there's something for everyone and it's a great study and socialization space. I love to come do work here or catch up with friends. It can get busy at times but that's expected of any coffeeshop on a college campus. The baristas (or Keepers of Coffee as they call it) are always so sweet too!
It's a cute little coffee place. Almost always busy. But you can skip most of it with the $1 life hack. Highly recommend if sleep deprived grad student, as well as a human being.
The best coffee ever. I had a double shot latte and also bought a Nutty B. Perfect on a day like today. The line was about 10 long, but it moved very quickly, the coffee was ready without much wait time. Parked on the street outside the RMC and took less than 15 mins door to door at peak time, just before 9a
Really friendly staff made up of students. I got a Macha Freeze with Half and Half and it was amazing! The atmosphere is really welcoming and buzzing with the keyboards of promising students! Will come back for sure!
Rice University's beloved and quirky coffeehouse where students and faculty gather for great specialty coffee from Katz at insanely cheap prices. The cafe has a great university culture surrounding it which gives it a great energy, but also keeps it generally quite full. Parking is far and must be paid, but you can try your luck by hazard parking at the front. The baristas offer creative signature drinks, including some that rotate seasonally. Drip coffee at $1 for refillable mugs are also a great option.
Cheap and very delicious coffee!! Student owned service so definitely visit them for support and get two cups of amazing coffee under $10. Highly recommend their Cup of Ambition if you like chocolate!! Place is usually very crowded so be prepared to wait a little (sometimes a lot) to get seating.

Coffeehouse is surprisingly good considering it is run entirely by college students. It is also way cheaper than most coffeeshops, while maintaining quality drinks with occasional specials. The cortado was pretty strong, and, as with a lot of the coffee here, had a very dark taste. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting campus looking for something to perk them up.
1. Pros: A. Delicious coffee B. Reasonable price C. Abundant outlets inside & outside D. Fast free WiFi inside & outside E. Not very cold F. Parking in Greenbriar Lot which costs $2/day. 2. Cons: may because the cafe belongs to the students here, noise is all around.

The drip coffee during off-hours can be so foul 😭 so get an espresso-based beverage. Best thing about chaus as an alum is the serene space to sit outdoors right outside the building. And no upcharge for non-animal milks 💕
Coffee is great. It is a college cafe so the mood and vibe match it. Also, wait time can be significant based on time of day

Cheap, tastes fine, BUT SLOW AS HELL. If you are planning to order something other than black coffee, just say goodbye to your precious "at least" 20 minutes. The last time, it was not that crowded, ordered chai and cappuccino, took 20 minutes for them to prepare it. If you are in hurry, do not bother.

Bunch of undergrads run this place, not professional at all. The drinks are sub average in taste and very crowded all the time. They even ended up putting a person as the cashier who dint communicate well and ended up charging me twice for my coffee
I really do not understand how in the world this place has 4.7 stars. They are SLOW as molasses. Then look at you like you did something wrong. It is student ran so they could give two effs less about customer service.
