Tikila's Houston Reviews
Sebastian was the best server I have had in a long time. He was quick and friendly. My cup was never empty and I was so happy with the food. 10/10
Awesome place hidden gem! Go find it if you haven't been! Very hospitable genuinely nice owners and staff very cool patio!! Highly recommend
Best night of 2026 so far was 2/21/26 at this place right here! See for yourself and have a similar story.
Was on a group trip from Florida for a event, stopped in 1st night in town, had a great bartender Lando got us good drinks and told us about the city and we should visit
Chill atmosphere great service from daisy every time!! Only come when she is working the other bartenders are cool and do great but daisys service is unmatched and she makes sure everyone is treated fair and fast!!
If you’re looking for a fun spot in the Heights with an unbeatable vibe, Tikila’s is it! The atmosphere is always energetic but still laid-back enough to relax and enjoy yourself. Crysta is an absolute rock star— friendly, fast, and always ready to make your night better with a smile (and a perfect drink). Every cocktail I’ve had here has been on point — you can tell they know their craft and take pride in it. Whether you’re hanging out on the patio, catching some live music, or just people-watching with friends, Tikila’s nails that perfect mix of fun and chill. Definitely one of my favorite spots in the Heights. Great drinks, great people, great times — what more could you ask for? 🍹🔥
The food was good the drink was okay. Love the inside and outside atmosphere. Good chill place to habe a drink and chit chat with friends.
If you’re looking for a place where your evening feels like a mini-vacation, Tikila’s in The Heights is it. From the moment you pull up, the energy sets in: warm lights, tropical décor, covered patios, cabanas, swings, and comfy lounge beds that all invite you to slow down. Whether you’re stepping in for an hour or planning to stretch the night out, the space makes that choice feel natural. The cocktail menu is where Tikila’s really shines. They’ve nailed the balance between playful and refined — frozen margaritas, frozen mojitos, tequila-infused tiki blends, fruity yet not overly cloying, fun yet made with care. Every sip feels like it was meant to transport you. Pair that with attentive bartenders who seem to know what vibe you’re after, and you get something truly elevating. The music, the layout, the indoor/outdoor interplay — it’s all well done. On the patio, you get the cool breeze, the greenery, enough space around you so it doesn’t feel cramped. Indoors, there’s warmth, character, and just enough buzz without overwhelming conversation. It’s perfect for catching up with friends, celebrating something small, or just treating yourself to a night out. Even with big crowds, Tikila’s still delivers. Drinks come in good time, the bartenders and staff push to keep things flowing and make you feel welcome. Yes, it gets lively, sometimes loud — but in that lively way that’s part of the charm, not a detraction. Five stars for Tikila’s — the cocktails, the ambiance, the full night-out feel. If I could live here, I’d probably be a regular.
Be sure to get a happy hour margarita! Tuesday nights is Lotteria – for free. Great atmosphere - big screen TVs playing the games for the guys. Plenty of pop-ups for food. You can also bring in your own food or have it delivered. I love it here. Everyone was so awesome. If you go outside in the winter, they have plenty of heat lamps – it doesn’t even feel one bit cold.
A must visit spot! Was told about this place from the bartender at my Hotel, he stated I wouldn’t be let down an he was not wrong. It was a Fat Tuesday celebration an was amazing. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the weather and music. There was various food/gift vendors on site. I had the crawfish which were impeccable along with some street tacos. Fun environment, highly recommend
This was a great place close to my home to enjoy with your bae or friends! You can either sit inside and play games or sit outside and enjoy the views. The food is so good! The drinks are delicious! Friendly workers and it’s quiet and peaceful even with the music on lol. I plan to return soon!
Your visit to Houston wouldn’t be complete without drinks at Tikila’s! We stopped in before our flight and they were just opening up. Lucky for us that meant one on one service, our choice of swing chair and access to all the games! Their frozen margaritas hit the spot on a warm sunny day, too. The vibe is laid back and has music filling the space from opening hour. You’ll have the best time here for a date day, post-brunch hang or gathering with friends. We 10/10 recommend Tikila’s!
This is a very nice little date night spot. The vibes were entertaining and cozy. The drinks are pretty pricey, but I enjoyed it. I went on a Wednesday around 9 PM and there were plenty of seating. The place is pretty huge, outdoor swings, inside area and another patio that was playing a film. They offer food, but it’s food trucks so they rotate. All around good vibes and will def see myself coming back.
Super fun little tiki/ backyard bar with indoor and outdoor seating. While there you could chill inside and enjoy a live or watch sports. If you go outside enjoy the tropical landscape and a movie. Super fun. Also they aren’t to strict about the mask which a plus and makes for a more enjoyable outing.
Sunday Tips. Come around 2:30-3pm if you want your choice of seating and no lines for drinks/crawfish. If you come after 4pm be prepared to wait in line for food trucks and crawfish. Made the mistake at coming around 12:30 and it was completely empty, and the crawfish and food trucks weren’t open until 2/3pm. The atmosphere was relaxing, the music was good, the staff was very friendly and the drinks were creative, cold and delicious! The restrooms were clean, the staff was COVID safe wearing masks. I’d definitely come back again for this Sunday experience. So fun!
This spot is so neat. Very chill vibes and the DJ plays a mix of all music. The bartenders need a little better training on mixology but other than that we loved the large Jenga game. Will definitely return again because of the environment. The tables with swings were super cute as well. The bouncer was nice and friendly.
We hosted a fairly large baby shower at Tikila’s and overall had a positive experience. Communication leading up to the event was clear and timely. The space itself is ideal for a baby shower, especially with the large outdoor area. Although the weather prevented us from setting up our balloon arch outside as planned, the staff were accommodating and allowed us to move it indoors without issue. The venue also has a good amount of existing décor, which helped reduce the amount of additional decorating we needed to do. The only downside from our experience was that the bartender that day was not particularly friendly. Aside from that, the space worked well for our event and offered a nice setting for a celebration.
We made the mistake of trying this place on cinco de Mayo, so it was extra busy this night but we played lotería and hung out in the area near the merchants and food trucks. Even though it was busy, this place has a chill, relaxing vibe. This place got a high rating due to the margaritas alone! So delicious!! Would return just for the margaritas.
Had a great time with my friend and absolutely loved the aesthetic of the bar. Wound up coming a little after they opened at 3 and stayed for a few hours. I got the frozen mojito and got a suggestion from one of the gentlemen working there to try the spicy margarita and it was pretty good. Prices were great for happy hour and they have a plethora of outdoor seating so it’s definitely going to be a vibe once the weather breaks.
Loved the ambience and vibe at this bar. Stumbled upon it on google. The place is 3 weeks old so they don't have everything up and running - no food, kitchen didnt have hot water. I have given it 4 instead of 5 stars as many things were missing. I plan go back and will re-rate this place But the decor and look was nice. The waiter and others in the restaurant greeted us well. The outside is the highlight of this bar. Make sure to check out pictures
The atmosphere is quite nice, but the cocktails are a bit underwhelming. They rarely use fresh juices or ingredients for their drinks. For example, when you order a coconut-flavored cocktail, you’ll get a drink made with coconut-flavored liquor rather than one that actually incorporates coconut milk or coconut cream. It’s basically just a step up from what you’d get at a nightclub.
Tiki-inspired, but no tiki music and definitely no tiki cocktails. Their online menu has many more cocktails than the cocktail menu their QR codes forward you to (which had eight drinks at the time we went, again, none of which were tiki-themed). The cocktails they DID have were subpar, like "margarita tastes like salted house tequila" subpar. The mandatory 20% gratuity I was charged on a ~$20 tab was the push I needed to write this review. I can't not recommend this place highly enough.
The website and the google page needs to be updated; they do not have all of those drinks, its a very basic bleh menu, somehow still basic signature cocktails, and the bartender I had messed up one of their drinks. I got an Island Girl which is supposed to have so much in it but it tasted liked spiked lime juice. I would retrain your bartenders, especially if you’re gonna tack on a 20% gratuity. Also, contrary to what the pictures imply, THERE IS NO FOOD HERE, THEY DO NOT HAVE A KITCHEN. There is a third party nearby that serves food(which is also kinda mid and expensive). Staff is cold, they don’t welcome you in and look at you crazy when you ask for a traditional drink that isnt a margarita. Only plus for me was the atmosphere and the music. Don’t come here for drinks or food tho 🤷🏽♀️
