Went yesterday food was hot and fresh. The service as amazing, Sam was nice, friendly, and welcoming. I drive 15 minutes just to get food here and they never disappoint! But they get alot of customers so dint be surprised if they run out of chicken lol
Come to the newly renovated Pollo Loco. Honestly it's a whole new place. Very inviting and pleasant to sit down and eat. Being honest here before this renovation it did not look like somewhere you'd want to sit down to eat. Hopefully the staff sees that this renovation is for them to also be proud of where they work.
quick service and good food drive thru was empty when i went. ordered chicken avocado street taco and 2piece chicken meal with two sides if you download the app, you can enter your receipt to earn points and eventually get free food also the app has coupons so if you don't get them in the mail you get them there. good stuff!
They are nice most of the times. The only thing it upset me, when they put a Pregnant women to sweep, i think manager didn't really like her. She was at the register first, they were 2, one was not pregnant and they didn't send her to clean. Come on it looks bad for company, and its not good for her.

Yo : try to be a nice customer and leave rest to them. Believe me i ate there for almost 7 months almost everyday but i never had problem. My orders were correct, was treated nicely and they were friendly too. This is told by a certified ( yes atleast i believe ;) ;) :P :P :D :D ) foodie who visits all other food stores 3-4 times a week. Some of the staff members are so nice that i miss them now ;)
Michelle attended me and made sure I knew how to use the kiosk, talked about their promos, and overall made my dine in visit very pleasant, and it was obvious her team was in sync with her as all of them offered a helpful demeanor, as well. Very busy place, had to wait a few to get my meal. It was good just as I had anticipated. The tables was acceptable but a few details were missed here and there. Just enough parking for the stay, the drive through had a line which reflect the food is good and worth driving for.
Just enjoy eating a really good grilled chicken! Now I really can't say that, Pollo Loco never let's me down. But that's quickly overlooked by the tasty flavors and reasonably priced $$$, can't beat that.
Food was 👍 great. Thou restroom could use a check up here n there at times, as the restroom that I used did not flush at all. No soap in the dispenser to wash your hands.

On this time, I was disappointed by their drive through customer service. I had order a salad and requested three small container of their creamy celontro sauce. Instead I received one creamy celontro and three pico de Gallo. When I checked my order and I didn't get what i requested, the attendant gave me attitude. She made me wait in the drive through line for what I requested. All I wanted was 3 more creamy celontro tubs. By the I got home, my salad was warm and my hot food was cold.
Food is hot. Customer service is good. But this location is always out of something when ordering at night time. Store needs to get more inventory. Check your orders as they usually get them wrong.

The staff is rude and if your not hispanic they will ignore you. I placed the order based on the coupon I had after the lady took the coupon and my credit card she handed back sing the coupon was expired before she process my credit card I heard her say in Spanish to a co-worker it was expired but she never asked me if I wanted to change my order. The food is good. However, the customer service could be improved. I don't understand why some of the employees have an attitude when I request chips rather than microwaved tortillas....when they're supposed to be included with the meal? I was supper hungry cause I hadn’t ate anything since the morning due to personal reasons. I was craving a double chicken tostada from my local Pollo Loco. Since I live 5-7 minutes walking distance I decided to walk to pick up my order. When I get home I was upset because double chicken, where? And where’s the avocado? Disappointed!!
The staff was very nice and greeted us once we were inside ready to order. There was no line when we ordered. So there was no much waiting time. I normally enjoy eating at the Pollo Loco's restaurants. I like their chicken and their services are usually friendly. It's unfortunate though that my last visit here left a bad impression. I ordered 2 chipotle chicken avocado burritos and although the service was fine, the burritos were not. The chicken inside were so dried and stringy that they tasted like jerky. I've been enjoying this burrito at every Pollo Locos that I've visited accept this location. I don't see myself coming back for more at this location any time soon if any at all.
The drink was the worst I’ve ever had. Got strawberry lemonade and I sipped it and wanted to spit it back out immediately. It was extremely salty and sweet and thick. Straight syrup. The pollo bowl and the extra tacos were good.

This is by far the worst pollo Loco I’ve ever encountered. I’ve been there at least 6 times and every time , I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but the wait is every time ridiculously long . On one occasion I was told they were not doing individual meals that they were only family packages , other times the salsa tastes like is no longer good, staff is not at all friendly and you will never get utensils or napkins. Needs new management, no doubt .
I've came to this location many times (Drive Through Usually), today decided to Dine In and couldn't help to notice all tables were dirty.. crumbs on them, benches stained, and after I finished eating I see a dead roach by my foot..., C'mon.. Food here has usually been good in my experience that's why I'm not leaving 1 star lol. For this review I gave my stars based on the drive thru service. This was my first drive thru experience at this location. The Drive thru employee gave us an attitude because we asked for more avocado salsa. I ordered a family meal and she was only giving us two. Like Seriously? On top of that when I get home the chicken is burned and dry. If I lived closer I would of gone back to return it. El Pollo Loco is one of my go to restaurants, but this location is a no no no! The dinning area is always in bad shape, like no one has cleaned it all day. The salsa stand is always low on everything. I have told myself too many times I won't return to this location, but when I do it's always the only option. I only took the time to do this review because this is not the first time I eat here and the chicken is not what I get from other El Pollo Loco locations.
Yadira was at the drive thru. As I ordered my food, she added more stuff to the order. I asked her to remove stuff f4om the order. She gave me attitude. She should not be at the drive thru with that attitude. Please replace her. I always come here. Unfortunately I dont want to return.
We go here for my son,the service stinks with certain employees I'm not trying to get anyone fired but management needs to shake the carpet the inside stinks. The drive thru is slower than a snail. Half the time the chicken restaurant doesn't have chicken ready they tell you only after being boxed in by several cars it will be a 25 to 30 min wait. There are a handful of top notch workers. You pull up and pray you get them.
What is happening to the quality of food at the Huntington Park location on Slauson??? I tried going here for my lunch break to buy my co-workers and myself lunch as their hours of operation online show that they are open from 9:30 AM to 10PM. Although, when I arrived on 5/7/21 a little past 10AM a young guy working the drive through said that they were closed and when I asked when they open I was as told “we are open open until 10:30 AM” this doesn’t make any sense either the establishment is open or closed I didn’t know there was anything in between. As a result I was unable to buy myself and my co-workers lunch and we had to keep working on an empty stomach which was very disappointing. Please update your hours of operation as the current ones do not reflect the actual hours and can waste people’s time, please advise.
This place is the worse. Dont get me wrong, I like pollo loco. But it feel like I'm gambling when I come eat here. 3 times already they have told me they do not have leg and thigh and I would only be able to get mixed and would have to wait 30 mins. I mean, come on it's the middle of the day. How the heck is there no food to sell. This has happened 3 times already and it was like there were closing within the next 2 hours. If they know the leg and thigh is the best seller, why not make prepare more leg s thigh? I really do think they would do better under new management.
They are really lucky they get one star. If you don't ask they don't give you knapkins. And forget about ordering separate orders at the drive thru if a female is not working the drive thru. Forget about the condiments in this area too might as well. The local Mickey Ds and Carl's is literally the same way.
I enjoy pollo loco but they always mess up my orders, like there hasn’t been a time when they do them right. I repeat myself “no beans” then I ask if they got that I wanted “no beans” they confirm and yet I get home and my food has beans. I know I should probably check there before I go but that’s why I’m asking for reassurance about getting “no beans” luckily I’m not allergic to beans, imagine if I was?
Dirty place. Franchise owner is at fault for not training staff or this establishment is understaffed. Either way there are dirty tables, many of the fountain drinks dont work or are only gas. Trays not bused and no napkins. My order to eat in was given ina bag and not a tray. Just because the area may not be rich does not mean you can have a disgusting restaurant. I should have gone to Norms across the street. The workers were doing their best but their training or lack of is the manager and franchisee's fault. Seems El Pollo loco better get their head straight or their arrogance will see them go dowm like Subway. Clean up your act and your restaurant.
So where do I start. I ordered off ubereats I ordered a tostada salad which comes with a side of chips and salsa. I asked for pico de gallo got guac. Next I ordered two orders of churros got no churros. I asked for one Fanta and one sprite. Got two sprites. I ordered a 3 piece for only two pieces a leg and thigh. This also comes with a side of chips and salsa. I only got salsa no chips why give me salsa if you don’t give me chips. Workers here don’t know how to work. Really dissatisfied and disappointed
This location is outdated. Good luck finding parking during regular business hours not SUV friendly. The drive-thru is a nightmare that runs around the alley. The chicken is always burned and dry. If you have no other place to go and you have a 2-hour lunch I recommend it for this area

According to a girl that works here if she feels " lazy to cut limos or prepare whatever", she will say " we are out of that". I was dropping her off (uber). She didn't know I was local and I was a customer here, but now that explains why they're always never have most things. Poor management.
Just sent my husband for 12 PC family meal. 1st mistake they took his order wrong. They charged him a 2 PC meal instead. When receiving the order instead of fixing the order for him and charging him a difference, they had him order all over.. and they still didn't get it right.. again ordering a "12 pc with rice and mash potatoes + gravy" .. they gave him Rice , beans, and corn. To top if of.. rice was hard, no mash potatoes.. and instead of all corn tortilla we got some corn and some flower. Never again guys!!!

I should have read all the comments before going here. DO NOT EAT HERE. DONT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME IN THE DRIVE THRU. The burrito was barely a burrito it was more like a giant taco with everything popping out. It was falling apart. The guacamole was very salty and two piece chicken looked like it was yesterdays.

I have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but this is getting ridiculous. I have come here on 4 different occasions in the morning. (I work nights and get out of work at about 7am) The website and store has 9:30am listed as an open time, however, they are never open at 9:30am. They always open at 10am or will have a hand written note stating they will open at 10:30am. The employees here have no care for punctuality, or the time of others. I really enjoy the food here at El Pollo Loco but maybe it's time to look at other rotisserie restaurants.
Bad service! I went during lunch hour which is understandable it gets very busy. The drive thru was not moving at all so I decided to get off hoping the line was gonna move quicker and it was 10x worse. They had no one at the cashier register taking orders, I waited 20 minutes and no one bothered to take walk-in orders. The employees did not care if they had people waiting inside the lobby. Never going to that location again!
This place makes their own hours. I showed up at 10:30 and they told me they weren’t open until “Noonish” I guess nobody wants to work. Hours stated they open from 9:30 am. Totally not reliable.
This is the worst Pollo Loco Ive ever been to, the drive-thru line takes 15-20 minutes to receive your order, one cashier is rude, and the worst is they keep burning my chicken after I specifically say the word juicy. It happened at least three times in the last month, so I had to post this comment. Management needs to do something about it. I have never been so upset or had to post anything negative but this Pollo Loco just deserved it.
Placed an order for pick up online and for more than 50 minutes the order was not prepared. The soda machine does not work there are no cupholders this store's management is more concerned with getting the drive thru moving that she was at taking care of walk in customers and those who placed orders online. Also they gave an attitude when they messed up the order and were asked to fix it . They slammed some stuff around did everything in a spiteful manner. My family loves pollo loco but we will absolutely never go here again. By the way, I understand that with the pandemic things are out of whack but theres no excuse for a dining room which is not even open for dining to have dirty floors and grimy walls. Its really sad to see poor management allow what was a good place to go seem so trashy.
Really bad service. Takes a very long time for them to give you the food. I placed an order online and order was not ready on time. It took them around 45 more minutes to give me the food. Went inside to order as the drive thru line was very long. Inside there was 3 people in line waiting to order and others already waiting for their orders. I waited for 20 min and no one was taking orders. I finally asked a staff member if anyone was available to take our orders and she answered NO very rudely.From what I saw all the staff was making the drive thru a priority and ignoring the front counter. I waited 10 more minutes and finally walked out as they still didn’t even take the orders of the other people that were there before me and others still waiting for their food. When I visit fast food places I don’t expect much but by far this has been one of the worst experiences.
If you want to wait atleast 45 mins to order and get your food this is the place. Plan ahead before coming here. Maybe even get the day off the next day if you can. Came a year later and now they sell expire Cole slaw. Avoid if you don't want food poisoning
First time going here. I went through the drive through for lunch. I ordered a chicken and avocado burrito with a medium diet. Cost me 12.99, which does not bother me. What does bother me is my chicken burrito had 5 small pieces of chicken in it, and it was basically raw, very chewy. I had one bite of it and pulled the other 4 pieces out, So my 10.00 burrito even with the chicken was mostly beans cheese and avo.No napkins provided, which I would think is just common courtesy since it’s a drive through. Never going to go there again!!! Pretty disgusting. Drive through date 6/9 at 1pm.

Paid for two sets of "Tacos al Carbon" & a pollo bowl. It was mostly tortillas, beans & rice, extremely skimpy on the chicken. Also didn't get no utensils after requesting them. Bad service!

I spent over $70 on a family meal, they had no flour tortillas, no serrano chiles and when i got home i realized they gave me no salsas at all. Pinto beans were dry and they gave me no cutlery and or napkins. I spent alot of money and didn't enjoy my food with no salsa. Smh.

This restaurant has the worst employees. They’re rude. They cut you off when ordering through the drivethru they rush you very rudely. Once you get to the window, they have attitudes and worst of all they mess up your food. I ordered 3 meals and they got the sides on the wrong meals. It’s bad because I had to touch my coworkers food to switch their sides. The manager is no help either. Charging 35¢ extra for each small container of salsa. They need more training in customer service, and satisfaction. Instead of trying to get rid of the people fast. Also, this is the third time I go and they don’t have wings and breast. It seems like they only sell legs and thighs.

Worst EPL in the area. They are very stingy with their portions (not the 1st time this happened). You won't get your money's worth here. I ordered a pollo bowl which was only filled about 1/4 of the way. Very little beans and rice and only 4 little pieces of chicken. They employees look like they don't want to be there. The place needs cleaning most of the time. I love Pollo Loco, I could eat it every day but not at this place. They just lost a customer.
This location was great until the changed manager. It's the worst serviced restaurant I've ever been to. The staff seems miserable the person up front with neck full of hickeys doesn't help all the people that can't use their dumb kiosks which holds up the line.

Discrimination, based off the color of my skin, Caucasian. I was the first customer of the day and received my order after two other customers came in after me that are Latino that happened to be my coworkers. These ladies that work at this location would not give me I contact and ignored me when my food was sitting on the counter they blatantly let it sit there. Terrible customer service that needs to be re-educated. The only reason I'm saying this is that me being Caucasian and living in a predominantly Hispanic community I know the difference between racism and this was absolutely evident.
El Pollo Loco – Formal Complaint Regarding Management Location: 2501 E Slauson Ave, Huntington Park, CA 90255 I am submitting this as a formal complaint regarding the conduct and professionalism of the management and staff at the above location. I ordered a Meal for Two and politely asked if I could substitute the leg for a breast or additional thighs. I clearly stated I was willing to pay extra. The manager refused, despite another employee confirming that fresh thighs were available. I was instead given old legs and thighs. The meal includes two salads. I selected creamy cilantro dressing for both. I was told I could only have one and had to politely insist to receive the second dressing that already comes with the meal. Even requesting basic utensils such as a fork and spoon was met with unnecessary attitude. Throughout the interaction, I remained calm, respectful, and courteous. The manager’s tone and behavior were dismissive and unprofessional. The overall experience made me feel unwelcome as a customer. I have visited many El Pollo Loco locations and have never experienced this level of poor service. Management sets the standard, and this location failed to meet basic expectations of customer care. I respectfully request that corporate review this location’s management practices and provide additional training on professionalism and customer service.
This place is big "NO NO". My company ordered 2 16 pc family meals and 6 individual meals. When I went to pick up the order, they were missing 2 16pc family meal and gave it to me. Clerk asked me "What are you waiting for?", I said, "I am missing 2 16 pcs of chicken. The clerk replied nothing. The clerk asked other workers and gave me the chickens and I was offered No napkins, 6 utensils, no paper plate. So I asked for napkins and 20 paper plates and 20 utensils together. Then I asked if anything is still missing but the clerk said NO. I came back. Guess what? No Salsa, 2 salads still missing. So I called the store, but hung up. How do you do business here? We are not going back here. But still going to other El Pollo Loco.
Save yourself some time and go to a different location. This place is always out of stock of different items, forgets salsa and is typically very low quality. They have signs up for deals that are no longer available. This can be stemming from either the management or the franchise owner, but I won’t be going back.
Do they count chicken pieces for their new quesadillas? They are nothing but cabbage and avocado. corporate, is this your doing? What if I don't want cabbage? Are you going to have them place a scoop of chicken then hand it to me for 12 dollars? I hope that my review impacts your stock market. 😑
I try time and time again to give this place a chance and I keep getting disappointed I will go months even years not going hoping they improve or change! The green salsas were practically empty! Only the green ones so it seems on purpose, ordered three different burritos none were marked correctly but that didn’t mattered they were awful they weren’t what we ordered! Ordered drive thru how am I supposed to try to fix this?
Dear Management, please speak to your scheduled shift of today's date and time check your camaras. The dining room is super dirty latterly all tables dirty and floor with black spots as you enter the restaurant. The dining room needs immediate attention doesn't matter how busy the place can get. We are in a pandemic we're everything needs to be sanitized specially in a food place. Us the customers need to feel comfortable dining in or visiting this particular place.
Mashed patoatoes were very good, mac and cheese as well but wow they burned the chicken so much it was hard as a rock, i have dogs i gave them a piece they even had a hard time chewing it. 2 pieces of chicken had to be thrown away it was very brittle and hard, the chicken has gotten way small honestly in 2 to 3 bites i can finish one i would stay away from this pollo loco and not waste your money this is the 3rd time this has happened. (In my picture you can see the 2 pieces of burned chicken they even look like beef jerky. i used my index finger to show how tiny the pieces of chicken are they have gotten way smaller its because of inflation they charge us more and give us less)
5th bad experience at this particular location & definitely last. Ordered on app, order wasn’t ready until 40mins later AND had to pick in drive thru, wait longer since going inside was closed AGAIN. I get to window to learn they’re out of 2 items I ordered & they replacement they offered me was uncooked & with hair!! These burn chips were the only “edible” thing. Never again!! Don’t go here!
Very disappointed in how I got serviced today. I’ve spent more than $200 a month on this particular location and never had I ask for more in return. But today a manager called Yadira made my order and give me nothing but a cold tortilla, onion and chicken. On street tacos that cost me 11$ for 4. Yadira is a very bad in given value to there customers. me and particular, I feel Discriminated after she provided more value to others. I ask for nothing but a Exchange for the same Value I spent on the tacos and nothing more. I didn’t ask for my money back I only ask for better food Quality . Yadira did not give me anything and decide to trash the tacos stole my money and said there is no Refunds on online orders which Nowhere does it say I have to call online support for anything, I am disgusted , I feel embarrassed and disappointed. More then anything Discriminated after trying to feed my wife and kid off of street tacos. I know it’s just tacos but nobody should go through this specially to one of your community members that go’s here a lot. I hope nobody Goes through this heartbreaking experience I had at this Location at Huntington Park. Please use my experience and go somewhere else. Trust me. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Waited in line to be attended ten minutes later. Then i did not receive my one item over ten minutes later after bigger orders were placed after me. Management needs to get it together in securing a good team work flow. The team at that hour did not help each other out. There was only was person in the front trying to take orders and hand them out.
I occasionally come to this pollo loco for take out and the service was good but lately the night staff has been very sloppy. Two weeks ago I ordered the spicy chipotle burrito and to my surprise, the burrito only came with beans, rice and chicken. I thought, maybe they were rushing since they forgot to add the rest of the toppings and it was around the closing time. However, last night (10/06/18)I came back to this location, around 7pm. The place was still open, I ordered the chicken avocado burrito and ONCE AGAIN!!!!! To my surprise I got served ONLY CHICKEN, RICE AND BEANS!!!!! How can you miss the avocado?! It's in the damn name!!! Lesson learned, I'm never coming back to this location again! If you stop by for take out and order a burrito, stop and check that you're not getting cheated!
