Vecchia Bernate Inarzo Reviews
Had a wonderful evening with friends at the Vecchia Bernate! The food was excellent and the waitress was very friendly! Highly recommended!
The service is excellent, the staff is helpful and friendly, the same goes for the waitress. I managed to eat a fantastic mussels pepper, the best I have ever eaten, and for a second course a tagliata that was very soft and melted in the mouth, then some classic chips that were very good, and for dessert I had a lemon sorbet that I left out because I could taste too much lemon. Then I managed to try the tiramisu, which I must say didn't have a nice face, but after tasting it, it was quite good. The setting is very nice, but in my opinion they should change the tables and chairs outside. Overall, I recommend it because you eat very well. Final rating: 9.5.
Delicious pizza, Innocenzo is truly a master pizza chef... perfect with children, friends and anyone you like for a pleasant evening... Once you finish one pizza you would eat another, that said... Don't eat at home, get off the sofa and book... Well done guys, great job....
It's been a while since I've been back to this beautiful and welcoming restaurant; unfortunately, I now live on Lake Orta, in the province of Verbania, and a good dinner at Vecchia Bernate, greeted by the commendable courtesy of the staff, would hardly be compatible with returning home with my driving license! In any case, I recommend anyone passing through the area to stop by; you won't regret it!
A historic restaurant in the small village of Bernate, it's quiet and has a lovely outdoor area. Simple but perfectly suited to the location and setting, it's still welcoming and pleasant. The pizza is fabulous, thin and crispy, with a wide selection of classic and specialty flavors (excellent with ragù), and excellent combinations of ingredients. You can choose from three different doughs. They also make other homemade dishes, including pasta, sauces, and meats—a must-try! Excellent service with friendly, smiling, and helpful staff.
Delicious, authentic dishes, and truly fair prices. But above all, the staff was incredibly friendly and kind. We went with our young children, and the woman was very understanding and kind, which isn't always a given in restaurants! She understood that we parents needed a peaceful lunch. We'll be back soon!
Everything was top-notch! Thin-crust pizza was delicious. The pappardelle with ragù and the polenta with braised beef were excellent; the meat was incredibly tender. Both the tiramisu and the tart were delicious and fresh! Service was quick even though they were busy. Even the kids loved it! What more could you ask for? We'll be back!
Very good and affordable food. House wine is tasty. Has a nice garden, but as we didn't book and arrived late, we had to sit inside. It's a bit old fashioned a maybe a bit outdated indoors, but a great palce to go and I would definitely go back. The service is fast, food is local and it's a popular place among locals.
A beautiful old-fashioned trattoria, with an outdoor porch under the trees. Fair prices. On a positive note, it's close to Fattoria Pasqué (a four-minute walk), much more convenient than eating there.
Family evening Excellent food Helpful staff Very good pizza We also tried the pasta dishes! We'll be back to try other dishes Excellent value for money
Nice place, I was curious because it's very close to us. Excellent service, kind, and courteous without being intrusive. The dining room was very clean, cute, unpretentious, but welcoming. We had two pizzas, a beer, a dessert, two coffees, and two grappas. The pizza was above average, the beers, coffees, and grappas were excellent, and the dessert was good, but could be improved. The bill was very fair. We were very satisfied, we'll be back.
Se vogliamo mangiare un ottima pizza ci viene in mente sempre questa trattoria. Personale gentilissimo e ordinazioni subito prese in carico. Ha una parte di tavoli all' esterno dv d' estate si prende…
Dinner with friends, a place with an old-fashioned trattoria-style atmosphere, a casual atmosphere, and paper placemats on the tables. Everything would suggest reasonable prices, or at least lower than the average for traditional restaurants...but no. We didn't choose pizza, which comes in many variations, but rather a main course or a first and second course. No complaints regarding the preparation and quality of the food. One thing I would say is that the polenta is a bit pricey. Service is fast and attentive.
After a lovely, casual experience about a year and a half ago, with excellent dishes at fair prices, we decided to return for Easter with the family. Total disappointment. The waitresses were still very kind and helpful, as we remembered, but that was the end of the story. Prices had risen VERY significantly, but that wouldn't have been a problem, especially considering it was a holiday. The critical points were the quantity and, above all, the quality. The baked pasta tasted like it had been made simply by sticking the sheets of pasta straight out of the package in the oven and, after cooking, pouring a bit of the runny sauce over it. The antipasti platter, also very good, but REALLY poor, should have been for two people, but you wouldn't have guessed that, not to mention the variety: only prosciutto, wild boar salami (?), and goat cheese (very good but... NOT ENOUGH). The orecchiette with wild boar sauce begged for a non-existent creaming. It was difficult to agree on the degree of doneness of the Fassona, as it still mooed at medium rare. In short, a total disappointment after a previously splendid experience that we obviously won't have again.
