Incredibly kind workers, great food, and a wide selection. This place is good for families, and offers wifi for those who need to do business or want to play around while here.

Super friendly staff. Even let me order 5 minutes before closing and was very welcoming. Food is awesome too.

I can't really comment on all of their food, I always order the chicken and veggie Bowl with extra meat, and I haven't been disappointed yet. The place is new so it is still pretty clean and not too busy and the service is fast.

The proteins were bomb but the sauce is what stole the show! The spicy waba sauce and the garlic Serrano sauce slap 😋 we wanted to buy a bottle but couldn't find away to get it in the plane. I think we're gonna have them ship it!

I will eat at this place when in Indio visiting my parents. The food is simple, healthy, and tasty. Today I had the Salmon Plate which came with Wild Alaska Salmon, brown rice, small salad, and fruit for all under $10. Yummy.

We stopped here for lunch on a road trip and found this to be the best option. Service was quick and friendly, the food was great; however, the bathrooms needed to be cleaned.

I really enjoy this restaurant and the healthy mindset that they embody. I also appreciate that the manger is very accommodating when the cooks at the restaurant have messed up my order. They have replaced meals that were not prepared the way I requested them, and he has also granted me a discount on the additional order that I purchased to apologize for any inconvenience.

I really did enjoy the food here. It was delicious. I do not understand why the low reviews. I guess I can see how the staff might be a bit bad at times. But so far, I have not seen that. And the food has always been good the few times I have gone. The combo Chicken and Beef is delicious. The place is not super clean but not dirty at all. You really should give it a gamble when you can.

About as mediocre as mediocre gets. Meats were ok but veggies did not taste as if they were fresh or washed properly, had the taste of dirt.

It used to be my favorite fast food in the area.....now it has new cooks new management...I dont know what happened ....the chicken is not as good as it was once; too dry...no flavor....smaller portions....disappointed

It smells like public restroom, floor was sticky, and the chicken wasn’t made yet. The girls bathroom was gross with notes saying to stop clogging the toilets to the customers we got a miso soup and pork dumplings because they were out of chicken and they wanted us to wait 20 minutes for the chicken.

Couldn't enjoy my food because it was to hot in the building I walked in from the heat and inside felt just as bad. They say the air was on but I fell NOTHIN!!!

Decent but nothing special. The employees looked like they did not want to be there. They all looked so out of shape and unhealthy I did not know whether I could even trust the cooking. They did not take care of their own hygiene, yet expected me to eat their cooked food 😔 If they were that out of shape and did not care for their own bodies how could I really trust what was in the food. The ladies room toilet has a broken handle and had no toilet paper. A worker remedied that when I let her know.

Ordered brown rice chicken and veggie bowl, got no brown rice and no veggies. Must be a bad day, still tipped them because you just never know when someone is just having a bad day. Doesn't hurt to bring in some sunshine if you can.

Love the food from Waba grill however unfortunately this store is very unprepared and unprofessional. One visit they did not have chicken.. another instance they closed 20min before store hours... most recently they said they were out of white rice at 5p during the week??

Kitchen area looked unfinished and messy/dirty, yet it smelled strongly of cleaning product (to the point of nauseum). Food was okay, but didn't have much of an appetite after ordering and wondering if I should eat at the establishment.

10:17 AM, December 20th, 2023. The food was good; plant-steak. The price is what you'd expect: "Plantspired Bowl" $10.99 (subtotal), $11.95 (with tax). The workers are unfriendly. They are stingy with the teriyaki sauce; I asked for more sauce and they declined to give me more. I would eat here again, but maybe I'd bring extra teriyaki sauce with me. The men's bathroom was locked.

This place is dark and dingy, there's no music or anything so you can just hear the staff talking with eachother. I walked in and staff was talking and did not acknowledge me or another customer walking in. I ordere online and my order took 10 minutes longer than I originally was told. The food is great but service is what would not bring me back.

Food is always good but too many problems with the business to look past. Have been told they were out of food like 2 hours before close but they were still open. Today, I called in an order and arrived about 10 minutes later. Then we sat inside for about 10 minutes and then went to pay and was told they hadn't started making our order and were out of what we ordered. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. The one in LQ has been better.

I love waba grill, but I always get that ugh “here we go again” feeling cause the 2 ladies that work there are like rude and miserable for some reason every time I go. You guys need new employees with better customer service and attitude. They always seem to close early at 8pm but yet leave the door open and the sign clearly says 9pm!. Anyways hope things change.

I order salmon plate and salmon was raw. This its not a good place to eat. They cook the same salmon and looks like they chewy the salmon because they cut on small pieces. BAD

I have been using the app to order from waba.Everytime I go pick up my order the older cashier with blond hair is very rude all the times I’ve been going there I haven’t even done anything wrong I just go pick up my food and leave but she just has this attitude of mean and I do like WaBa but I can’t keep going there because of the customer service

I think they use frozen vegetables either way they taste like fish. Food sucks overall and the music is to loud...I guess I'm old.

I dont typically leave reviews but i am very dissapointed. We are in a pandemic yet the lady who took my order wore her mask under her nose and kept adjusting it lower. She didnt wear gloves either even though this location doesnt have a contactless card machine so she handled my card. She was hanging out around the lady on the grill with her mask below her nose. I dont feel comfortable returning to this location until after COVID.

If I could I would give no rating . I went to wanna grill yesterday and upon eating their chicken rice bowl I felt that the chicken might not be good . It didn’t look good and didn’t smell good so I dumped the rest of it that I hadn’t ate . Well as soon as I got to work about an hour later I broke out in sweats and was nauseous but it went away . Then this morning I woke up every hour starting at 6:30 to 9 throwing up each hour uncontrollably .

This location needs a lot of help. Service is slow, soda machine is broken. Ac barely works. Floor is extremely sticky 😵‍💫. The entire place needs repairs and better management.

Service was slow, took a minimum of 20min to get our order, No hustle from any of the employees. Prices are high, we added shrimp to one of our bowls and the price went up over $8. Every trash can was overfilling, we had to wipe down our table as all tables were dirty. By the time the order came we decided to take it to go. Chicken bowl was good, Steak was fatty and rice had some hard spots.

I usually am not the kind of person to take the time to write a bad review but when I get the same experience every time I go in and also hear that other people seem to have the same experience at this location. The only reason I go into this location is because it’s near my work and home and I love the food regardless of the customer experience. For someone who goes in about 3/4 a day I really hope someone can talk to the employees about customer experience. The workers look like they don’t want to be there and they ignore people as well. Today I ordered a meal 30 minutes ahead to pick it up and when I walked in I asked the employee if the food was ready and he said in about 5 after 15 minutes of waiting I asked another employee about my online order and said it was never placed. After showing him the online receipt with confirmation number they said “oh that order okay I’ll let you know when it’s ready “.

I ordered my food to be ready at 12:15 at 11 so when I arrived I was expecting it to be ready, it wasn't. Someone else who had walked in and ordered as I was waiting there for my food got their food before me so I got up to ask about my food again. It was ready and they just had it sitting there. I ordered 10 dumplings, received no sauce for the dumplings and on top of that 8 of the 10 dumplings were somehow undercooked and burnt at the same time and they were extremely chewy and doughy and just not good. I also ordered a miso soup, just a plain miso soup which is cheaper than the loaded miso soup and was given the loaded miso soup instead. I detest soggy rice and just wanted a plain miso soup so that was also ruined for me. The employees were completely lost in the sauce and did not seem to care about anything. I had given this place another chance after about a 2 month break because the service was always slow when I went. After this experience I will NOT be coming back ever. If you're in the mood for waba grill I urge you to go to flame broiler instead, they NEVER mess up my order and the service is always fast!

In the women's restroom, there was a dead roach and the handle of the toilet was broken. It also took about 5 minutes for anyone to show up at the counter to take our order. It seems poorly run and possibly unsafe to eat.

Our experience at Waba Grill was incredibly disappointing as it was our first time dining there. Upon placing our order, the cashier informed us that there would be a 20-minute wait. Despite waiting patiently, everyone who arrived after us received their orders and left. After waiting for 40 minutes, I approached the counter to inquire about our order, which was then finally brought out. However, to our dismay, the food was extremely dry and to make matters worse, my "signature" dish had hair in it, leaving us utterly disgusted.

This location is probably the worst WaBa I’ve been to. They forgot the dressing and dumplings with our plates, and everything tasted dry and not the freshest. The cashier literally didn’t say one word during our entire transaction. The Flamebroiler in Indio is a much better vibe.

I will never return! Bad experience.... walked in and was not even greeted. No drinks but Gatorade, no napkins c’mon now really? Chicken was cold. People are dealing with Covid and now dealing with this? And talked with an inspector who was there and he said that’s just terrible what we were going through he was going to write it up don’t know if he ever did don’t even know if he was an inspector for the place. And when they told us they didn’t have any more napkins I said well what are we supposed to wipe our hands on and the guy just shrugs his shoulders.... really? It was all bad... service, food, and attitude!

Rice tastes like cheap crap. Meats are so-so. Customer service is garbage. Employees look like convicts and look like they could care less. Hot sauce isn't "sriracha", it's freaking tobacco! In the beginning, Waba was awesome, now it's complete garbage now. I don't know if it's this location, but they seriously need to get it together.

The hours of operation clearly state 10am open it is now 11:10am and its still closed. Very unprofessional and this franchise should reconsider their hours of operation to a more later time.

07/05/2025 Just came to the Indio location at 10:05, doors were open and I was waiting to be helped. The plus size lady was SO rude for no reason and yelled “we’re not open yet!” 3 times without starting at us. We asked her “until what time do you open?” And she kept yelling the same thing over again. At this point i’m thinking she’s joking or something. All I did was ask what time will they be open since the establishment/business sign says OPEN and there aren’t any posters saying different hours will differ. Probably didn’t hear us since they had CORRIDOS blasting louder than a kickback 😂 So rude & unprofessional for being a business.

Ordered 10 chicken and steak bowls 8/5/25 Skimpy on the chicken and steak, bowl was filled with mostly rice. 2nd time ordering from this location and same outcome. Last time, I was missing a whole bowl. Terrible location.

This is poor management WaBa Grill, 42-250 Jackson St., Suite 101, Indio Major violation: Improper hot and cold food holding temperatures (cooked potstickers, sliced beef and whole chicken thighs out of temperature) Major violation: No sanitizer bucket while active preparation and cooking were occurring; operator washed rice dish in the preparation sink; food handling employee washed probe thermometer in hand washing sink Minor violations: Food manager certificate missing; no paper towels at the front hand sink; warm water at men's sink did not reach minimum temperature of 100 degrees; dirty mop water in bucket left unattended; an unlabeled spray bottle of sanitizer was left unattended pointing to the packaged utensils and napkin dispenser at the front of the facility; and others "C" card posted. Due to previous downgrades, a suspension/revocation hearing will be held on Sept. 16

Wow I don't think I've had worse. The first time we came here it was good so we came back. This time, the lady that took our order didn't speak a lick of English. She then got our order wrong (missed an item entirely) we then reordered it (salmon bowl) and it came out hard as a rock burnt to a crisp. We took one bite and threw the entire thing out. Horrible. My kids refused to sit inside because the smell was bad too. Won't be back.

The worst service ever. This employee sat in the resturant while I stood there for 5 minutes waiting for my order to be taken. The worst customer service ever. Never coming back here. No wonder it was empty!!!

Wow I don't think I've had worse. The first time we came here it was good so we came back. This time, the lady that took our order didn't speak a lick of English. She then got our order wrong (missed an item entirely) we then reordered it (salmon bowl) and it came out hard as a rock burnt to a crisp. We took one bite and threw the entire thing out. Horrible. My kids refused to sit inside because the smell was bad too. Won't be back.

The hours of operation clearly state 10am open it is now 11:10am and its still closed. Very unprofessional and this franchise should reconsider their hours of operation to a more later time.

Get your shit together. This is poor management WaBa Grill, 42-250 Jackson St., Suite 101, Indio Major violation: Improper hot and cold food holding temperatures (cooked potstickers, sliced beef and whole chicken thighs out of temperature) Major violation: No sanitizer bucket while active preparation and cooking were occurring; operator washed rice dish in the preparation sink; food handling employee washed probe thermometer in hand washing sink Minor violations: Food manager certificate missing; no paper towels at the front hand sink; warm water at men's sink did not reach minimum temperature of 100 degrees; dirty mop water in bucket left unattended; an unlabeled spray bottle of sanitizer was left unattended pointing to the packaged utensils and napkin dispenser at the front of the facility; and others "C" card posted. Due to previous downgrades, a suspension/revocation hearing will be held on Sept. 16

07/05/2025 Just came to the Indio location at 10:05, doors were open and I was waiting to be helped. The plus size lady was SO rude for no reason and yelled “we’re not open yet!” 3 times without starting at us. We asked her “until what time do you open?” And she kept yelling the same thing over again. At this point i’m thinking she’s joking or something. All I did was ask what time will they be open since the establishment/business sign says OPEN and there aren’t any posters saying different hours will differ. Probably didn’t hear us since they had CORRIDOS blasting louder than a kickback 😂 So rude & unprofessional for being a business.

Ordered 10 chicken and steak bowls 8/5/25 Skimpy on the chicken and steak, bowl was filled with mostly rice. 2nd time ordering from this location and same outcome. Last time, I was missing a whole bowl. Terrible location.
