Stopped by for a drink and bite to eat at the bar, the dining room was packed and a bit stuffy for my liking. Felisha was fantastic with great service and was a joy to talk with while we worked through our drinks and food; will make a point to stop by again!

Absolutely magnificent. Great atmosphere, excellent food. spectacular drinks. Our waitress' name was Felecia, and she made our visit even better than any dinner night than we have ever had. She was fun, engaging and welcomed everyone in our party like we were family to the restaurant. This will be our GO TO place anytime we are in Frederick.

We had been to this resturant years ago and were looking forward to going back since the renovations. Before we went to see the lighted boats tonight we got to stop in. The hostess seemed annoyed we had not made reservations and was not very friendly, but the rest of our experience was very good. The food was as good as we remembered. We had the cheese enchiladas, chicken tacos, and seafood soup. We also got our daughter a kids chicken quesadilla with black beans. You could also choose rice, refried beans, or fries with the kids meals which ranged from 9$-13$. Regular menu items ranged from about 14-25 $ some more. Our server was great. She checked on us a lot and made sure we were taken care of. The atmosphere was fun and even though there were a lot of people by the time we left it wasn't too loud. The fire place was a nice warm touch. We will be back.

We stopped in tonight for a second time, and it was fantastic! We had tried the food a few weeks ago, and knew we needed to come back for dinner. We were served by both Hafed and Carlos, and they were phenomenal! They had the best timing, and great sense of humor! The food was amazing, especially the steak in the fajitas, the best in town! My girlfriend also had a cadalac margarita, and it was perfect! Even coming in on a Friday night, it was still cozy and comfortable

Was in Frederick, MD for the first time. We had gone to see the boat show and stopped by this restaurant. We were a group of 8. From when we were greeted at the entrance to our server, the staff was awesome. Always very attentive to see if we needed anything else. Taking empty plates out of our way. I ordered the Paella Valencia. It was so good. If I ever come back to Frederick, I would definitely come back here. I recommend this place. Gracias a todos de Cacique por el buen servicio !

Lovely restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere! The music is quite pleasant and fit the overall vibe, the food was cooked to perfection and the wait staff, particularly Valeria, were all remarkably attentive, patient and understanding. I strongly recommend trying the seafood soup! Truly a flavorfully appteizing meal. Also, they give free chips and salsa, which is a nice plus.

The vibe was chill. I had dinner table around the corner on a list and wanted a drink while we waited, the margs and homemade SALSA was so good! Matthew makes the BEST margaritas in Frederick. He totally changed my mind about this spot. We’re coming back for dinner& drinks next time. Management, he’s a gem!!

My friend and I had the best lunch today thanks to our server Kayla! She was so kind and receptive to our needs. I asked her for water and she brought us a big pitcher given how hot it was outside . Also food and drinks came out in such a timely manner. I'll definitely ask for her again next visit!

Just had a great meal. The Michelada was on point. Enjoyed the combination platter and the calamari, which was exceptionally flavorful and distinct from what you usually find. Everything tasted excellent. I definitely recommend it and will be back.

Really enjoyed the visit. Our party enjoyed one chicken fajita and one shrimp fajita remarking they were the best they had ever had. The combination Saltado was very tasty spiced well, personally I would have loved some hot jalapeños added. The only downside was we were seated near the kitchen entrance on an evening when there were plenty of other tables in quiet areas. Too noisy with the doors open to the kitchen. We will return but be certain to ask for a better table.

My wife and I went here for dinner tonight. If you're thinking about eating here just step inside and sniff. You'll be immediately greeted with the smell of steak, shrimp, and lime..... it's divine. My only complaint is that or steak and ground beef entries were slightly overcooked, but the flavors were amazing. The sides were fresh, and the chips and house made salsa were tasty. The staff, though busy, were friendly and helpful. The drinks were well made and my double came with the extra shot on the side (a nice touch). If you're in Frederick and craving Mexican or Spanish food give thus place a shot!

Nothing but positive things to say! I was skeptical as I am not a fan of Mexican food in America. However, this place is Mexican and Spanish cuisine. The vibes are nice, and they have limited outdoor sitting. I got a mango daiquiri with whipped cream, which was good. For appetizers, we got the Gambas and Tortilla chips with Guac. The Gambas was not what i thought it was, and the sauce it came in was a little bit too salty for my taste buds. I lived in Cameroon and what we call Gambas are huge prawns, so i was taken aback when i saw regular shrimp. Talk about a difference of what my expectations were and my reality 😅. No fault of the restaurant! For dinner, I ordered the Paella Valenciana, which was okay, and my friend got the salmon with rice, veggies, and peppercorn sauce (needs to be bottled up and sold separately). Overall, it was a good time on a Saturday evening. I enjoyed myself, and surprisingly, the food was better than I expected. But the service was what i was impressed most by was wonderful!

The food was very good, the mojitos were good and the service was very good. The time we visited the restaurant had a strong, unpleaseant smell inside. We had to sit outside to enjoy our food on a 95-degree weather. Besides that little inconvenience, the experience was good

The menu offers a broad array of authentic dishes, though some prices at the restaurant are considerably higher than on the caciquerestaurant dot com web site (example: $25.99 vs. $19.99 for Roasted Duck is 30%). The servers were prompt and efficient, though our order-taker and bill-collector seemed somewhat apathetic. The complimentary chips (thin and crispy) and salsa (pureed) were delicious, though too little salsa was provided relative to the number of chips and never was refilled. The Roasted Chicken with mixed vegetables was moist, tender, flavorful, and perhaps better with the white rice that was served than it would have been with the Spanish rice that was ordered. The Shrimp Tacos and accompaniments also were delicious, with HUGE shrimp prepared perfectly. It was a nice evening to eat outside before a show at the Weinberg's New Spire Arts, though Market Street is more disruptive (obnoxious vehicles) than Carroll Creek (strolling pedestrians). It was a decent experience overall.

None of us found the food to be all that great. Plus, the street parking is tough, especially when you have someone with you who has walking disabilities. The service was outstanding and it has a quieter atmosphere, which is great when you like to hear conversations within your party!

The food here is not bad, but it's also nothing special, but it's overall cheaper choice than the neighboring restaurants. We ordered the paella, and it was ok. It was missing a key element, the socaratt. The free chips were fresh, but the guacamole appetizer was overly salty. There was a peculiar smell when you entered the restaurant. It was not present at the back of the restaurant when we sat down, but the smell at the front was not pleasant. Service was overly distracted but not busy, we waited a long time to get our guacamole so much so that we had to ask our waitress who seemed to have forgotten it.

Service was terrible. Long wait before orders were taken. Then waited 15 minutes for drinks. We were a party of 4. They brought out 3 meals. After about 15 minutes the 4th came out. The food probably tasted better when it was warm, since we waited so long for the last meal so that we could eat together

I am one to rarely get mad at service, as I was a sever once before but this was one of the worst experiences I have had eating out. To start, once we got to our table, we had 3 different servers walk up to us asking if we had been there before and said they were our server. Our actual server was the first one to see us and didn’t even ask us what we wanted to drink. Our 2nd server was nice and immediately took our order and she was attentive while she was there. Third server we never saw again after the introduction. Our first two drinks come out then it takes 25 minutes for our first server to come see us again. At that time he asks us if we want anything to drink. Mind you we already had our first round hit the table. I ordered a drink and then he asks us if we are ready to order food. I grab the menu turn around to talk to him and he is GONE. We see him taking another two tables orders and it takes 20 minutes for my drink to hit the table. At this point he comes up and asks us again if we need anything, I told him we have wanted to order food but to just bring the check. Check hits the table in 60 seconds. Not coming back, never been so mad while looking forward to eating. Side note: queso is tasted like melted cheese whiz do not order it. Margaritas are good though.

I put in an order for street tacos and on the website it says it comes with rice and beans. I don’t know if there was a change in menu, but all I got was the salsa and cream sauce and utensils. I paid $18 for essentially three tacos and I honestly can’t accept that. I had to get back to work, so when I glanced in the bag, I just assumed the rice and beans were in the container with the tacos. I sincerely hope the menu is updated in the future if the rice and beans are no longer part of the lunch menu and price adjustment because I just don’t think three tacos is worth $18.
