Brio Irvine Reviews
To conclude an eventful year at work, for our company party we decided to dine at a nice Italian restaurant and went with Brio Italian Grille. Because it was a special event, they staff went out out to present a welcoming experience and custom menu for a party of 26. Not knowing what to get from the short short menu (winky face) I opted for the meatless ravioli and... OH MY GOD... I feel like people be holding these gem of a places for themselves and not be sharing. Every bite of my meal was heavenly and I should of order a second plate, but didn't want my co-workers looking at me crazy. No worries, me and the misses were looking for a new Italian spot to dine at and we have found it here. It's a little bit out of the way from where we live but I can certainly say it's well worth the drive. See you soon Brio.
Had a great experience here! Went for a quick bite and a drink before a movie. Our server Robert was fantastic and friendly. Food was magnificent and the Peroni was cold. Ordered the shrimp and eggplant appetizer which was to die for; the sauce alone on it was perfect with the warm bread served. Prices were fair and the staff friendly. Check this place out for a quick bite at the bar! UPDATE: a few months have gone by and went back to have the shrimp and eggplant appetizer once more. Still easily the best item on the menu and the staff at the bare are phenomenal!
I’ve been visiting this place with my family for many years. It has a great atmosphere and an excellent menu. I highly recommend their signature dishes, along with many other delicious options. The staff is consistently friendly and very attentive.
We had a fantastic dining experience at Brio Italian Grille in Irvine. From the moment we were seated, everything was top-notch — the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and the service truly made the night special. Our waitress, Azucena, was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She made excellent recommendations, checked in at all the right moments, and made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for without ever being intrusive. Her professionalism and positive attitude elevated the entire experience. Every dish we ordered was delicious, cooked perfectly, and arrived promptly. You can really tell Brio takes pride in both their food and their service.
I recently dined at Brio Italian Grille and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. If you are looking for authentic flavors and a high-quality meal, this is definitely the spot. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Marsala, and it was exceptional. The chicken was perfectly cooked tender and juicy but the real star was the Marsala sauce. It was incredibly flavorful, rich, and savory without being overwhelming. You can tell they use quality ingredients. You can’t go to an Italian restaurant and skip the bread! We ordered the bread and butter, and it was the perfect start to the meal. The bread arrived fresh with a great crust, and the butter was smooth and delicious. It’s a simple thing, but they do it right. Between the delicious food and the great service, Brio remains one of my top choices for a nice dinner. I’ll definitely be coming back for that Marsala!
We just had our customer appreciation holiday happy hour at Brio, and once again, we were super lucky to be served by Joe and his amazing team! A big shoutout to Manager Jillian for being so fantastic and to Edgar for all his help. The whole service team—Nichole, Emily, Angel, Sydney, Joseph, and Christopher—was absolutely wonderful! They made sure everything went smoothly and made us feel right at home. Thank you, Brio, for making our event so special for the second year in a row!
Went in after a tennis tournament with our team. We were a party of 22 and had various split checks. Waiter was on point and attentive. Very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Delicious food. I definitely recommend the vodka alla forno pasta with chicken.
Absolutely loved my experience at Brio Italian Grille in Irvine! The Tuscan villa atmosphere is stunning and makes you feel like you've been transported straight to Italy. The wood-fired flatbreads were incredible, and the pasta dishes were cooked to perfection—you can truly taste the freshness and quality in every bite. The service was attentive and warm, and the wine selection beautifully complemented our meal. Whether you're looking for a romantic date night or celebrating with family, this is the place! The location at Spectrum Center is perfect for dinner after shopping. Can't wait to return and try more from their chef-driven menu. Buon appetito! 🍝✨
Nice upscale Italian food in the Spectrum Center. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Bathrooms were 4 out of 5 stars, but the food was excellent. Went there with a friend's family for a wedding dinner. Never been before but I would go back. The world series with the Dodgers was on so it was a little louder than normal - consider this is in LA and the Dodgers are THE team everyone loves here. Overall the the staff was friendly and quick and the food was outstanding. The parking was tough, limited to a couple small places nearby and a garage but overall it was manageable. If you drive a big truck the garage isnt the best option as youre limited to first floor or valet - or a decent walk. So know that before you arrive. I had the Lobster Bisque and it was fantastic!
My husband and I really enjoyed this place. We got some gnocchi to share as an appetizer and then got the lasagna entree to share as well. They were so sweet and split it onto two plates for us instead of just bringing it out all on one. For drinks we got a limoncello lemonade and the Italian margarita and both were really delicious! Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but the menu looked so good. My only suggestion/complaint about this place is the bathrooms had a bit of a smell - maybe clean more often and put in an air freshener.
We had the pleasure of dining at Brio Tuscan Grille in Irvine on a Sunday evening as a large party, and it was great from start to finish! The staff went out of their way to accommodate all 15 of us, ensuring that we were comfortable and well taken care of. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic – it's a beautiful space with an, inviting atmosphere. The food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Every member of our group loved their meal and drinks. Although we didn't visit the bar area, it looked GREAT from where we were seated. Another highlight is the super convenient location, right next to the parking lot, making it easy for everyone to get there. Overall, Brio Tuscan Grille exceeded was great! and we will definitely be returning.
Brio Italian Grille serves the best Shrimp 🦐 and Lobster Fettuccine!!!! What really amazing is that they grill the shrimps and lobster, so your fettuccine comes with a smokey taste, which is perfect as an add-on to the creamy sauce. Chicken Malinese also is recommended, the chicken is well marinated, and the pasta served with herb creamy sauce on top of the house tomato sauce, good combinations.
This place was good but not specifically memorable. The salad was not as fresh as I like but overall not bad and the bread took some time to come out. Bisque was great as others had mentioned. Service was fine would have liked to get refills on drinks, was not asked during our visit. Average main was in the $20-30 range. Presented well. Ambience was really nice and overall a good stop for food especially if you are looking for typical American-Italian food. I'd say this is a 3.5-4 star stop.
According to their website, "Brio Italian Kitchen is upscale affordable dining at its best with great tasting Italian food and an inviting atmosphere under a fun, family-friendly Roman ruin decor." Located on the outskirts of Irvine Spectrum, the restaurant occupies a large space with indoor seating, a bar and an outdoor patio. I can vouch for their weekday Happy Hours and Sunday Brunch, but apparently they also promote Martini Wednesdays and Wine Thursdays. On a recent visit for Sunday Brunch, I thought it was interesting that we were asked if we had a reservation even though the restaurant was not busy. After being seated and placing our order, we were served sourdough with butter which was a great starter for the meal. Next up was the Smoked Salmon Deviled Eggs appetizer which I followed with the Chicken Milanese entree. Both items were hearty and enjoyable, but I can't say either was the best I've ever had. Still, Brio is a good option if you're hungry for Italian cuisine. I'd recommend checking out their Happy Hour and/or Sunday Brunch!
A very nice Italian restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum mall. We went last week to celebrate one of our friend's wedding anniversary. The ambience is really nice and up class. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The food has some scope of improvement. We ordered a few dishes; appetizers and main course. The pastas lacked salt. The pizza was too watery due to large tomato slices. The gnocchi and mushroom ravioli were good. Will surely try again.
We were a disappointed in the food quality when we placed a to go order. The meatballs were over cooked and hard, so our spaghetti meal was disappointing. The Caesar salad and dressing was not much better. Dressing matters. I wish we could say there was something special about this place but we can't. It was not busy at all during dinner, which may or may not be indicator. The service was fine but the food we cannot recommend, unfortunately.
Could have been better. I have been wanting to try Brio at the Spectrum for quite some time so I was excited to finally have the opportunity. I had made a reservation for a Monday evening to avoid the typical Spectrum crowds. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with a sign that said the restaurant was closing at 7pm for a private event. Our reservation was for 5:45 so it was disappointing to think we may be rushed or even asked to leave at some point. Apparently the hostess had called us, about 15 minutes before our reservation to let us know but I did not pick up the call. The hostess was gracious and apologetic indicating that the private event was a last minute thing. We decided to stay and planned to enjoy dessert elsewhere given the time crunch we would be under. The restaurant was basically empty, maybe 4 tables filled but many more folks in the bar area. I brushed this off to the early closure or maybe a slow Monday night. The wait staff greeted us promptly and provided water while we looked over the menu. We placed our orders, Salmon Fresca for my guest and good ole spaghetti and meatballs (spaghetti polpette) for me. Whenever I try a new Italian restaurant, that is my go to dish. It is a staple and, in my opinion, rather simple so it provides an opportunity to knock it out of the park. In addition, my guest ordered the Brio Martini. Unfortunately, they did not have the bleu cheese olives for the martini. The server offered to make them but we decided to pass, as a sign from the universe to conserve calories. Food service was quick which was good as we were feeling the time bearing down on us. My guest was delighted with the Salmon Fresca, they even accommodated a change, switching out the asparagus for broccolini. They raved and raved throughout the meal. For me unfortunately, I cannot say the same for their spaghetti polpette, more specifically the meatballs. What I was served was 3 medium sized meatballs, that were so dry they needed a knife to cut them and they were equally chewy when trying to eat them. They reminded me of frozen meatballs that had been microwaved to death and would not be what I would consider edible. Such a disappointment. This dish may be part of their "Winter Specials" which if it is, it's a good thing it is not part of the standard menu. I will say given the rave review of my guest for their meal encourages me to give Brio at the Spectrum another shot but definitely will try something different on the menu.
