Yes the price rib was excellent as was the service. The OC cut was more than enough. Creamed spinach and creamed corn were wonderful.

Delicious food, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. We stopped in tonight and got salmon and chicken. The chicken with mushroom sauce was moist and flavorful. Delicious almondine green beans. The only creamed corn I've ever had came out of a can so I was very pleased and impressed with the homemade creamed corn.

My beautiful wife has been dining here since she was a kid, and this was my first time. To start off our waiter “Tony” was awesome, he made sure everything was perfect. We traveled from Arkansas to eat dinner here. The creamed spinach was delicious and the texture and taste was great, and the creamed corn was like none I have ever tasted before, it has a sweet taste. Now the prime rib was HUGE! It was juicy and just about melted in your mouth, but my wife had me cut off small bite sized pieces then a little horse radish and spinach dipped on my fork and dipped it in aujus yummmmm! The Yorkshire pudding was good. We had some wine and also the shrimp cocktail was fantastic. We will eat there again real soon. Google doesn’t allow enough stars, and Tony we want you to wait on us again! Thank you so much…………

We had a great dinner. However the twice baked potatoe didn't have enough flavor.

Rochelle took wonderful care of us twice! First with a large party of 12 and couple days later we were a smaller party of 4. Our food was delicious, served hot and the menu had something for everyone. Nice wine list. The restaurant was busy both evenings and therefore noisy, we’d definitely return when we travel back to CA

Our family had not been here for quite some time, although we had fond memories, so we chose this place for a celebration event. SO glad we did! Every one of us very much enjoyed our perfectly prepared steaks (most of us had the prime rib), along with the traditional sides of creamed spinach and creamed corn. We all felt everything was delicious and had enough to enjoy the next day. The staff was VERY friendly and with just the right amount of attention. I did ask our server for a suggestion on the wine and he said the owner was a sommelier and identified his favorite on the menu, so I went with that and was grateful for the lovely discovery. One of us remembered what the pricing was from 50 years ago and we were all amazed that the inflation calculator app said that pricing was comparable to today, almost to the penny. I always think of this place as having that old world charm and it does not disappoint.

Great prime Rib! Love the servers dressing up like wenches and men in three cornered hats. Fun place and love prime Rib several choices of it. Limited menu but what they have is superb!

It was my first time there and it was wonderful! The food was delicious, the service was great; the atmosphere was both quaint and exotic at the same time, with a nice bar and a private dance club. Couldn’t ask for more.

Ordered a Gulliver lunch cut for 31 dollars and a truffle creamed corn for 15 dollars before tax. The prime rib’s doneness was great, medium rare to medium. The gravy went well with the beef. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

OMG Where to even start? This place was incredible. Outstanding atmosphere, perfect service, attention to detail, willingness to satisfy the customer. Salad was great, crab cakes were so yum. I had the bones (ribs) which were hearty. My husband had the rack of lamb that was fabulous. And my daughter had the salmon. All portions were generous and absolutely delicious. The cream corn they serve everyone was so good. Dessert was spot on. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this outstanding restaurant. A must for a great meal. I left wanting to take the restaurant home to Montana with me.

The happy hour here is delicious and tasty. They even have free munchies. Who does that anymore? The Halloween decorations are fabulous and I hear the Christmas decorations are amazing. It's a new stop for us. We will be back for a proper dinner. Enjoy!

Gulliver's is an old classic that has been around for years! They are known for their prime rib, Brobidingnagian, famous creamed corn, and a pretty special wine and mixed drinks menu. We tried the: aged rib eye, salmon filet, filet mignon, rack of lamb, prime rib, ceasar salad, wedge salad, creamed corn, mushroom soup, creamed spinach, twice baked potatoes, and the herbed focacia and sourdough bread. The lychee martini was excellent and the Mimosas were so refreshing! You can expect a hearty meal when visiting Gulliver's, but most importantly, expect top-notch service and a warm dining atmosphere.

R

Fun atmosphere! Food was great! Prime rib was excellent as well as the filet. Bar was really cool and was surprised to see it empty on a Saturday night. Some live music like a mandolin player would really top it off.

The main course, appetizers, and even the sides were all incredible. Was one of the best meals I've had in quite some time. The prices are a bit high, but at this place you definitely get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Had a corporate event here with a group of about 30. Deborah the event coordinator was kind and understanding, accommodating some last minute requests and made for a smooth meeting / dinner. The servers Rochelle and Tony were the best too...everyone was happy and said it was some of the best steak and prime rib they've had. We'll definitely be back.

Very great .. GREAT RARE food... a must have. I can say I instantly got impressed by this food. Had the duck dinner, came with sides, potatoes, and cabbage, didn't expect much from bar 🍸 side menú, but low n behold,... a TRUE dinner. Very satisfying and a secret recipe with the duck, a must have. Try it if you appreciate a real complex dinner. This is it. On my top 3 list now. ✔️. Very UNDER rated place... owners... please don't change,... 🙏 keep it as is. Love it! Best happy hour as is in 2022'. Drinks were top notch. I could of spent less, yet wife n I got slightly excited to take some home.

Recently visited this place and had a really good experience there celebrating my relative's b-day. The restaurant is very beautiful inside, the service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I shared the chicken with my kid and we still had leftovers. I also tried the other food that my relatives offered and it was good (especially ribeye steak and duck). Only mashed potatoes had some pieces and were not creamy but the rest of the food was good and not overpriced. Paid 652$ including tax and recommended tip for 8 people (3 appetizers, 8 main courses, no dessert) including 2 bottles of wine and 1 alcohol cocktail and everyone had boxes full of leftovers. Thank you.

What a great place. The service was awesome and the food was not only a huge portion but the quality was excellent. Took my wife there for our anniversary and our server Shane did an excellent job. We both were stuffed and happy with food. The price was reasonable to what we ordered. I will definitely keep this place in my favorite places to eat.

At first I was kind of hesitant to try this place thought it would be more of a commodity but but was I wrong. In my opinion it was comparable to Tam oshanters in Atwater village.. Staff was incredible, our server was top notch and the food was cooked to perfection. I would be willing to travel the 50+ miles from home to dine here again in a heart beat.

I've been enjoying the prime rib at Gulliver's ever since they were in the Marina DelRay. I have relatives that lived North of Delmar. I would meet them at Gulliver's during the week for a late lunch. About one thirty so I could get the Gulliver's cut of prime rib with creamed corn and creamwd spinach. EVERYTHING was wonderful. My cousin and her family have all moved back to ITALY. It's had become too costly for them to live in california. They may on occasion come back for a visit. At that point I would consider driving the forty- eight miles one way for a marvelous dinner. But with the forthcoming projected increase in the price of fuel I'm not considering about a one hundred mile drive for a dinner for one.

Loved the ambiance, service and food - due to the holiday season and local events (we had just seen ABT's "the Nutcracker" at Segerstrom and there were many patrons that had obviously done the same), it was very crowded, but the service staff was still attentive, food was delivered on time and it was excellent. My wife had the prime rib and I had the filet, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the dinners and the portion size. We'll definitely be going back!

Last night we went to Guliver’s in Irvine, and from walking in the door to a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and lights, we had excellent service:and seated on time, excellent management, waitress and service; over-the-top rack of lamb and Fillet Mignon, and sides, and the my custom order of non-alcoholic Lemon Drop came back a delicious surprise, better than any bartender’s before! We had a wonderful dinner exoerirnce. My late husband and used to frequent this restaurant for years and came back after several years not to be disappointed! Won’t wait so long to visit again. This is a special place, all year and during Christmas. Thank you to the management.

Iʻm from Hawaii and this was my 1st time. The service was awesome from the hostess, to the waitress to one of the managers. They were all kind and made us feel welcome. The decorations for the Christmas season were so beautiful that it made me feel like I was in a Christmas house! The prime rib was made perfectly, so soft and tasty and the au ju sauce was "ono" (delicious in Hawaiian). Even the clam chowder was tasty. We didnʻt have a reservation but they were kind enough to find us a table. Canʻt believe this place has been around for 50 yrs. Love it! Aloha!

We had the best time, sat at bar, I want to say bartender was David, he has been there for many years. We laughed ate and just had a great night. You won't be disappointed in anyway, just fabulous with stunning fall decor, we were told Christmas is off the chain, good for all ages. Very nice for those special occasions. Enjoy its just fabulous

A truly wonderful dinner. A great steak with a beautiful pepper crust. And loved the double baked potato. The apple bread pudding for desert is fantastic. But the place itself is beautiful. A lovely brick building opens into an old world tavern. Go at Halloween or Christmas and they good even more all out! Definitely worth the visit and the money.

The atmosphere was wonderful, especially since they were decorating for Halloween—it added a fun touch! Service was also very good. The food was mostly excellent: the prime rib and the accompanying extra-spicy radish were fresh and delicious. The only slight drawback was the salmon entrée, which was unfortunately a bit too salty.

Went there with my wife for a nice dinner and the place felt like a time capsule in the best way. From the dark wood interior to the silver carts rolling by with giant cuts of meat, everything had that old-school charm. The waiter came over in a crisp jacket and took his time explaining things, which I appreciated. It felt formal without being stuffy. I ordered the prime rib cooked medium rare and it came out exactly right. Juicy, flavorful, and carved right at the table. The Yorkshire pudding was soft in the middle and crisp on the edges, and the creamed spinach was better than I expected. I’m not usually big on salad but the spinning salad bowl show was a nice touch, even if the dressing leaned a little too tangy for my taste. It’s definitely not a cheap dinner, but it didn’t feel wasteful either. We left full and happy, and it felt like a special occasion even though it wasn’t one. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the whole experience. I’d go back again without hesitation.

Amazing food and service. Been here a few times and every time it was great. Host and waiters are super friendly and nice and the vibe in the restaurant is chill and casual. The food is massive. The entrees are giant plates. Appetizers are delicious. The crab cakes are amazing. The prime ribs is delicious and the duck was amazing. The cream corn is delicious and horseradish with the prime rib was perfect. Love this place! Will def be back soon!!

We have been going to Gullivers for years and their quality has not diminished! The tenderness of their prime ribs has remained the same, and the service has always been top notch. Prices compared to other prime rib houses like Lawreys are lower and not terribly restrictive. Most importantly the size of their cuts are still large! Always a pleasure to dine here and I recommend you do the same!

Came in here at around 8:15 or so and he was pretty empty. I was hungry and was in the mood to try local places so ice open up Groupon and saw a nice deal at Gulliver's. It was so short I ordered English Cut prime ribs with a side of brussel sprouts with balsamic and bacon. The prime rib was awesome! It also came with creamed spinach, creamed corn and Yorkshire pudding. The brussel sprouts was also very flavorful and tender. All in all a great value and quality food. The decor was charming ,but the lighting was a little too dim

This restaurant has been a fixture in the neighborhood for at least three decades. The ambiance is fun with friendly and attentive staff. The food reminds me of old-school supper-club fare: good, but not great. The portions are hearty and you will certainly not leave hungry.

K

Old school English fare with a focus on Prime Rib. In its hey day (the 70's to the 90's) Gulliver's was packed most every night. Not so much now. That said, our waitress was very kind and accommodating. The standout meal for me was the duck. It really over delivered. Side note: We dined with a couple that has been coming here every year since the late 70's to celebrate their anniversary!

S

We came here to celebrate the Christmas season with our family. It's on the pricey side, but worth it. It was decorated so pretty for Christmas. It was very busy. Service was very good. Food turned out good for being so busy. They had baskets of warm, sourdough bread and seasoned flat breads after we sat down. I had the traditional cut of prime rib. It was thinly cut, and it was very tender and juicy. It came with creamed spinach (not my thing) creamed corn (delicious!) And Yorkshire pudding (decent). It was a very enjoyable experience. The crowd is on the older side, but a nice crowd and I recommend you try it once in your life.

D
David Adams

First visit. Fun restaurant with a unique, old school vibe. Tried the Brobdingnagian. Best prime rib I've ever had. It was MASSIVE. Only ate half there before I got too full. The second half was a sufficient dinner the following night. My only complaint is that the draught menu is paltry. They only had three beers in tap: Stella, an Irish red, and an IPA. I expected more from a British pub. Maybe Boddingtons? Guinness at the very least. They serve it in bottles but it's really not the same.

J

Old time atmosphere with a great bar. The food is pretty good also. The creamed corn is my favorite!

J
J. Thomas Lippert (Tomsfix)

Excellent service by a very friendly staff. I ordered the Gulliver's cut prime rib medium rare, which was served medium but was tasty. The sides and coal chowder were very good if a little rich for my tastes. I enjoyed the meal and ambiance a great deal.

Our little date night turned into a little mini journey to the north pole during the off-season! Decorated accordingly with the reefs, trees, and lights! Such a warm and inviting atmosphere, the lights are dimmed, and the dark wood accents make it quite an experience. We had the pleasure of having Shane as our server, and he was so sweet and attentive. We both opted for the Traditional Cut - ($56) - comes with half a yorshire pudding, creamed corn, and creamed spinach! Very generour portions. Super tender slice of meat, with the whipped horseradish, such a yummy bite! The complimentary bread was yummy dipped into the spinach and corn! The yorkshire pudding fell short, tasted stale and old. The side of the butter was cold and not quite spreadable. I feel like for the atmosphere and dining experience, it's attention to the details which garnered the 4 star instead of 5. Overall, we had a very memorable dinner! Thank you again, Shane!

My husband and I, at the last minute on a Thursday evening decided we were really hungry for some American/English comfort food. We headed to Gulliver's across the street from John Wayne Airport in Orange County. We had been here at Christmas of last year and also a family Thanksgiving a few years ago. Ya know, they are the quintessential, Old World, British inspired decor, over the top, decorations and memorabilia, one of the last standing of it's kind. I so appreciate that they are still operating and in business. The food doesn't disappoint, from the Prime Rib and steak entrees to the fish and chicken entrees and the "sides", especially the creamed corn, but all the dishes were like homemade. Fresh Broccoli, green beans, mashed and stuffed twice baked potatoes and of course the bread! We had a cozy cocktail, the Old Fashion is so delicious and comforting and our dinner service was perfection. Of course, we took home mounds of leftovers and had everything again on Friday evening at home! Our bill was under $200.00 and although that is $$$, it is worth the ambience, comfort, nostalgia and fulfilling fare in which we lavished ourselves! The cool thing is we didn't need reservations as we dropped in at 5:30 pm on a week night.

I learnt one lesson here: Use the restroom before you eat. Had i gone there first, I would never have eaten there. Pre 2020 I have frequented this establishment many times. To say that it has deteriorated significantly is an understatement. The best part of the experience was the barman who was so attentive; the rest was downhill. Ambience was zero and the decor while meant to be old fashioned English was just a stale 80/90s decor that was never updated (basically, refreshed). This place is not clean and I would never recommend anyone eat here. I hate giving bad reviews but feel I should be honest.

M
Michael Ellis

My wife took me here on Saturday the 14th, my birthday. Never tried this place before, but we happened to be in the area. Loved the atmosphere and the people. The prime rib wasn’t worth that much money for me. Over cooked it. I always order medium rare and got medium at best. Disappointed!

J
J L

Amazing food. Felt like my wife and I were being stalked and interrogated by a manager on duty from her complaining to the owner about a previous bad experience. Aside from the akwardness caused by the manager the experience was good and the waitor Tony was a very amazing person. Extremely helpful and caring. If you visit this establishment I highly suggest asking for Tony to be your server/waitor. You wont be disappointed 🙂

We took family for an after Christmas dinner. Due to logistics, we were unable to dine at our favored prime rib restaurant, so we decided to try Gullivers in Irvine. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays and the service was excellent. We all ordered the Gulliver cut of the prime rib. The side dishes of creamed corn and creamed spinach were delicious as were the garlic mashed potatoes. So far, so good. All four of us were busy trying to cut the tough and fatty prime rib. Fortunately we have good teeth. We were hosting the other family members and were embarrassed. We did not return all four orders but decided that the drive to Beverly Hills would be worth it the next time for quality, tender prime rib. Since we only ordered prime rib, we can’t comment on other items on the menu. However, we will never order the disappointing prime rib again. Sadly, this restaurant is known for prime rib.

A
Anna Bedley

Christmas decor is fabulous which is why my company books our Christmas dinner at this location. Bathrooms are old and smell like it except they smelled worse last year so I was pleasantly surprised. We were a large party (40+ people) but service was reasonably fast. My egg allergy proved to be difficult for one waitress but not all of them. Food was much better this year compared to last December.

E

If you are a Lawrys Prime Rib fan and are looking for an out-of-town substitute, this does not compare. The only reason I say this is because they are closely comparable in their pricing; The beef was ok, but the overall experience was not worth $50+ per meal. All the sides tasted like leftovers. The corn was chewy; the potatoes tasted old and stale. As you can see from the picture, the presentation was ok, but the flavors were not to my liking. The service was average and seemed rushed. I can't say I would ever come back; way too expensive for the quality. I would expect way more from a place that has $$$. Possibly other items on the menu were good, but $49 for the prime cut was way overpriced.

Booked this restaurant via OpenTable for my wife’s birthday and was totally disappointed with the experience. The restaurant was decorated for Halloween and was half empty yet instead of seating us in the main dining room we were off in a side room away from the main ambience of the restaurant. Given the small number of people there this seemed totally illogical. The prime rib was fine however we were surprised to find that they had actually cut the Yorkshire pudding in half and only given us half each. The creamed corn was cold. The bread basket had 4 pieces or so what seemed like someone else’s leftovers. The whole experience was sub par. When you pay almost $200 for a meal ( just 2 main courses and 2 drinks) everything should be perfect. I have been to this restaurant in the past and the experience was much better. It feels like it has gone downhill. When I made the reservation I had mentioned that it was my wife’s birthday and there was no acknowledgment at all that they had received this message or it had been ignored. I requested a nice table. This was not it. Instead we felt as if we had been excluded from the main restaurant. I think they need to review their customer service to improve the experience. This is an experience restaurant and really should be good. Very disappointing. We did advise the hostess.

Visited on a Halloween weekend with a friend. I ordered the Prime Rib Bones with a glass of red wine and she had the King Salmon entree and a glass of White Zin. We both enjoyed our meals but she more so than myself. The bones were not very meaty and was kind of disappointed about that. We shared a bowl of the creamed corn. The service was good and attentive. The total tab with tax and tip was $88.

First time here and really was hoping to get a prime rib plate described by others, however, this was not my day. Came for lunch prime rib, sides and check out the interior. The cut was in the thin side, not nearly as tender and flavorful as expected. The sauce helped with that, but it being cooked or served more medium didn’t help. Now, it wasn’t busy when we got there (see photo), around 12:30. Seemed like only one server in the main room. It’s always possible the steak was at medium rare when cut and plated, but, if the waitress is busy with other tables/duties, the steak continues to cook. The German potato salad was ok, nothing stood out. The broccoli was what it was. The atmosphere was old world, but seemed goofy to some degree. Service was very good and she was tipped accordingly. I won’t be visiting again, but we have it a shot.

I had high hopes for this restaurant. With such a long and stellar reputation, of course I expected much. That coupled with the price makes this a bit disappointing. The bright parts of the evening start the decor and staff. Though not on the level of other restaurants I have reviewed they put in the effort. Also, the prime rib, what this restaurant is built it's reputation on, was excellent. Well prepared, flavorful and just good. The creamed corn, good and the 007 martini was as well, but depends on the bartender. The down side, was the duck: a bit dry. The dessert: limited and not endulgent as it should be. Service: trying but not performing. At these prices, asking for anything is a slip, having to box your leftovers and not checking on you enough all add to less then stellar service. Still, try the prime rib with creamed corn. That is a meal well worth the price.

Mediocre ribeye steak that was way overpriced like 4x more than it was worth. The pre-made sides were nothing to remember. Ambience was kind of unique if they had a menu change, it could be a cool place to go to. Service was good.

I had the NY Strip with what was supposed to be peppercorn sauce and it was no where near that.. it was a black sauce that killed the flavor of the steak. I tasted al.ost like burnt molasses. The twice baked potato was small and looked and tasted like it was a month old and previously frozen. The bright side is the waitress was pleasant and attentive. The bathroom was crawling with bugs as well.

I started with the clam chowder which was overly thick—not from clams and potatoes but from flour/corn starch and from over cooking it. Perhaps they leave it cooking all day? I thought the same thing about the creamed corn, as it was rubbery/chewy even though the flavor was quite good. The prime rib was good and flavorful. I ordered medium rare and it was served perfectly. The Au jus covered the fact that it was a tad bit dry. Again, at 5:15, none of my meal should have been over cooked. The focaccia is tasty and the sour dough is not. I wish California would stop with the sour dough bread south of San Francisco... Normally, I’d chalk this up to a random poor experience from a decent spot, but the bill was $67 with tip. It’s hard to accept a $70 meal as a random bad experience. I think the food here just isn’t great and they try to conceal it with the gimmick of an olde English Inn. Either way, skip it.

Dinosaur themed gimmic. The smell from the creamed spinach was nausuating. The creamed corn was pure slop. The prime rib was very salty and cut uneaven. I expected more from the reviews..

The service was decent but not exceptional. Atmosphere was great with the holiday decorations. Food has gone downhill. I ordered filet mignon medallions. SO THIN. I would not consider what I was served a medallion. While it was very tender, the texture looked more like a hamburger steak. And it was way over spiced. Way too peppery! if I hadn't been with a group I would have sent it back. Big disappointment!!!

The absolute worst dinning experience I ever had in 64years the meat greasy, soup flour, absolute 💯 bad restaurant.we ordered the roasted chicken that tasted like a rubber chicken, I ordered the prime rib bones, and they should of called it Prime rib fat. Because that's all that was on it. They may be known for their prime rib ,however the menu is limited and the food SUCKS!!! NOT WORTH THE $130.00 We could ate better at sizzler or another dump like that. Crap food absolutely horrible experience.

The service was wonderful. The restaurant was decorated very festive for Christmas. The food was horrible. Stay away from does spinach artichoke dip and the ribeye steaks. The desserts are also quite the let down. They were awful except for the chocolate gelato ball. They need to revamp the restaurant. As far as the food goes, it was not good. 👎🏼 The chairs in the dining room are very old. Most of them are wobbly or broken. I didn't like one thing I ate, sadly. Gulliver's what happened? You used to be a delicious and delightful prime rib restaurant. 🫤😖😧🤔

Came into the restaurant and the man behind the desk said hello my friends and was told two for dinner. He grabs 2 menus then another group comes in and they get the same greeting being told he would be right back to seat them. He takes one step turns around and said he was going to seat the people behind us first. Should have been my first clue things had changed. The corn, one of the main reasons we have always loved them was like eating a bowl of mush. It was just terrible. My NY steak was chewy. The staff took out bread bowl without asking. Overall just such a terrible experience. I will never return.

Our family has been going to Gulliver's for about 40. This has always been our special occasion restaurant. The one that we took friends and family to to show how special they are to us. Sadly, things have changed drastically. The decor and atmosphere are still very appealing however the food and service have taken a huge hit. Our waitress attempted to be personable and friendly but it didn't really translate to a great experience. At one point, a server dropped a couple of glasses of water right behind my daughter and only the stems of the broken glasses were picked up. Several shards of glass were left behind and when we pointed it out to our waitress she just used her foot to move the glass to the side where it was left for the duration of our visit. This never would have happened in the past. Our bill came to just under $400 for the 4 of us. We ordered 2 prime rib dinners, 1 rib eye steak dinner and 1 salmon. We all had a side salad as well along with drinks. My prime rib was very gristly and only about half of it was edible. There were other things that were not ideal but weren't deal breakers. It's hard to believe but based on this experience we have all agreed that we won't be back. Unfortunately this seems to be a trend with inflation having a huge effect on businesses, especially restaurants.

This was probably some of the worst steak we’ve ever had. The prime rib was extremely tough (I had the gulliver cut) and my dad’s New York steak came well done. They redid it for him and it was so salty that we could not even eat it. The manager barely apologized. Trust me, think before coming here.

P
Pablo Gargiulo

I ordered a ribeye. It was chewy and w sauces i didn’t expect. I love salt. The cream of spinach was beyond salty. Not edible. I order an ice tea that never came but was in the bill. I did eat the cream corn, hence the star. Wasted $70.

Extremely tough Prime rib,You couldn't even cut it with the special steak knive they give you! The meat didn't have any marble, they fund the cheapest meat to serve customers, this place was empty on a Thursday night.... I don't blame people for coming!! We used to go many times a month in the old days... But the meat it's not what is used to be! Very disappointed!

M
Michael Susmilch

True escargot is to be served in the natural shell, your version is frozen and placed in a carafe container and reheated, as they are not fresh, also, all that is needed for them is a garlic/butter sauce on the side....John Wayne would be turning over in his grave.... excellent high end price point, btw

J

Honestly, I was super disappointed with this place. I was really looking forward to trying it for about a week prior to my visit. Arrived and the place was dead on a Saturday night. That should have been my clue but we gave it a fair chance. I love food and rarely is anything left on my plate. I got the prime rib bones, and they were just unpalatable. The poorly aged, damn near rotten meat had what seemed to be a lazy attempt at homemade bbq sauce, but it was basically ketchup watered with a splash of vinegar. Service was terrible, as we never received our second round of drinks. Had to go to the bar to get my check, because our server never returned.....ever. Poor food, poor service, and way overpriced unfortunately.

We dined here on New Year’s Eve with a 5:15 reservation. When we arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty with several open tables. We asked if a booth was available and were quickly told no, which was fine. However, we were then seated at a table directly in front of the kitchen. Given how many other tables were open, we politely asked if we could move. I understand how reservations, pacing, and table flow work — I’m a server myself — which is why the situation felt especially confusing. There didn’t seem to be a clear reason we couldn’t be moved, yet instead of a straightforward explanation, we were given the runaround and ultimately left where we were. What made it more uncomfortable was seeing another party later decline that same area and be accommodated without issue. To add to the disappointment, my prime rib was ordered medium and came out medium rare. Normally I would have mentioned it, but by that point the overall vibe made us hesitant to speak up. We paid, tipped, and were polite throughout, but the experience left us feeling unwelcome. Unfortunately, this was not the New Year’s Eve dinner we were hoping for, and we won’t be returning.
