I visited Mendocino Farms for lunch and ordered the “Not So Fried” Chicken sandwich with a side of tangy mustard barbeque sauce. The sandwich was delicious and filling, with crispy chicken, herb aioli, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, and pickled red onions on a soft ciabatta bread. The sauce added a nice kick to the sandwich and complemented the flavors well. The place has a nice environment with plenty of seating options, both indoor and outdoor. It is located next to UCI, which makes it convenient for students and faculty. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. They also have a variety of other sandwiches, salads, and soups to choose from, as well as local craft beers and wine. I noticed they have a Kids Eat Free promotion on Thursdays, which is a great deal for families. I also saw they have a Peruvian Steak sandwich that looked tempting, so I might try that next time. Overall, I had a good experience at Mendocino Farms and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fresh and tasty lunch option in Irvine. It’s not your typical sandwich shop, but rather a place where you can enjoy some creative and chef-inspired dishes with quality ingredients.

Great food, good service and friendly servers. The outdoor space is very nice and cozy. Most of their foods are delicious and worth trying. Their orange drink is great, make sure to try it. The portions are good especially when you compare it to the price you pay for it.

Two Fat Meatballs

Great sandwiches, wide variety of menu options. Ordering is a little different, you order from a person near the menu posted on the wall, given a pager and proceed to a cash register for paying. Food comes out quickly. Outside patio is nice if the weather cooperates. Cookies for dessert.

I usually don't like sandwich places but I got dragged to this one and I absolutely loved it! The drink selections are unique in the best way. I tried and loved the vanilla cream soda (even tastes good flat) and the black berry soda. The atmosphere is fun and would be great for a first date or hanging out with friends. I ordered the steak BLT on a pretzel bun and I highly recommend it!

Really good place to have a tasty sandwich. We love to visit. There are plenty of seats inside. The decoration is really nice. All the employees are really friendly and willing to help.

The Steak and Bacon Chimichurri was sooo good! The bread wasn't to thick, and it was a really refreshing taste to be a sandwich. Genuinely, delicious! I can't wait until they open a location near me! I'm so glad I was able to try this place while visiting Orange County.

Kyle A. was absolutely awesome at Mendocino Farms! He helped me find a great option to take on my flight and really went above and beyond. He took his time explaining the pros and cons of different items and was incredibly patient and kind throughout the process. If you’re in the area, be sure to give him a shoutout - you won’t be disappointed. And on top of that, the food is amazing!

Get over yourself. The sandwiches were amazing and so was the staff. Everybody was friendly and you can tell they were genuinely concerned about us having the best experience possible with our dining experience. Definitely a good place to try if you're wanting a good sandwich!

Agree with other reviewers this location does not pay attention to certain customers. It seemed clean though staff take forever to take order then bring to your table. Food when arrived was five star

I have seen Mendocino Farms here for years especially when I was a college. I never went inside until years later when I was in my final year of training. I never went inside because I heard it was one of those very fancy but expensive sandwich places which meant I couldn't afford it lol. But when I finally went inside I realized it wasn't out of my reach after all. And I can see the hype! Their sandwiches are very very delicious. Good quality and good pricing too! Service is fast and professional.

Nice place for sandwiches or salad bowls in the UC Irvine University Center. We had the Thai Mango Salad and the Peruvian Steak sandwich. The sandwich was a bit greasy and very spicy, but the salad was a perfect mix of protein and fruit. Very nice lady helping us at checkout. You order at the counter and they will bring it to your table. Outside seating was nice but not a lot of tables on the shade.

The sauce was okay but at least the bread was crunchy. The Peruvian steak was mediocre and the sauce was spread unevenly. The Most so fried sandwich was made well and tasted good.

Easy peas! We ordered and paid on line and drove over to pick up. Parking was close and available. There were ample spaces designated for pick up. Sandwiches were delicious.

Very disappointed. The whole meal was served on an aluminum plate and served with basil pesto shells and spicy curried couscous in a plastic container. The sandwich bread is warm, but the filling is cold. The tables were not clean. They gave my husband a huge steel soup spoon, and they gave me a plastic fork. We had a totally different experience in another location. They served the sandwich on a ceramic dinner plate, and it was nice and warm. Basil pesto shells served in a nice ceramic/glass container. The whole experience was pleasant.

Service is usually good, but the new shorter male employee has been policing customers in a way that feels inappropriate. He also doesn’t seem culturally aware, and several other South Asian customers have mentioned they don’t feel welcome. I live in Irvine, but I now go to the Tustin location because of this.
