The IRV Bar Irvine Reviews
Wholefoods In-house restaurant/bar is an amazing place to eat for lunch or dinner! Great menu selection or go get food from the already prepared food bar! Great place to go meet friends and hangout! I don’t drink myself but they have a great selection of beers and wine! Space is limited so there may be times it will be hard to find a place to sit to enjoy the amazing food here! Enjoy!
Inside Whole Foods- great happy hour and super fresh inexpensive food.

Stopped in for lunch at the bar inside Whole Foods Market in Irvine and had a much better experience than I ever expected. This isn’t just a typical grocery store café—this is a legit spot for a quality meal and cold draft beer. We ordered two bacon cheeseburgers and were impressed across the board. The burgers were cooked just right, with thick slices of bacon, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, and perfectly melted cheese stacked inside a soft, glossy bun. The presentation was great—each burger served on a metal tray lined with custom Whole Foods wrap paper, paired with a mini fryer basket of hot, crispy fries and a stainless ramekin of ketchup. The fries were golden and fresh, with just the right amount of salt and a great texture. There’s something satisfying about sitting at a clean, well-lit bar with natural light pouring through the windows and a long row of taps behind the counter. The beer selection here is impressive, especially for being inside a market. A wide range of local and craft brews on draft gave us plenty of choices. The pours were cold, crisp, and served in proper pint glasses with just the right head. The bartender was courteous, quick, and knowledgeable—not just about the beer but also about the menu. Service felt personal and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they care about maintaining quality here, and it showed in both the food and the way the staff treated us. All around, this is a great place to sit down for a relaxing lunch or early dinner. Plenty of parking right outside, and you can grab groceries afterward if you need to. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and want something casual but done right. Would absolutely return.
I love this bar on the weekends. Its a great place to stop for a glass of wine or a beer and chat. You can go grab anything you want from the Whole Foods, which is really nice. The bartenders are always great! They are efficient and are very helpful if you are unable to pick a wine or beer from their offerings, which are quite diverse.
Very friendly bar tender. Knowledgeable on the beers they carried. Bar was busy but the bartenders were very efficient as we had no wait. They also offer happy hour and weekday specials to get better deals on food and drinks.
Love the meatless mondays discounts on vegan appetizers(cauliflower nachos & curry fries) which are A1
Lively atmosphere, good service, appetizing food makes me frequent here and it's great

This is a beer and wine bar located inside Whole Foods. The have a varied draft beer selection including Allagash White and Kirin. The server I believe also works for Whole Foods so it was rare that I saw them behind the counter. Overall, it's okay to grab a drink here if you're already grabbing food at Whole Foods anyway, but not a place you could "regular" at.
Gastropub inside Whole Foods at Los Olivos. Bar is ok, good tap options. A little light on the selection of whisky and spirits. LOTS of vegetarian and vegan dishes. We tried the Cauliflower Nachos, Firecracker Roll, Cucumber Avocado Roll, and the Mushroom Harvest Bowl. Everything was very tasty, but the Firecracker Roll was my favourite, followed closely by the Cauliflower Nachos. Nice selection of hot sauces, too. Unfortunately, they no longer serve dessert. Good spot for a bite and a casual hangout. I wouldn't recommend for a date night, as it is inside a grocery store.

Surprised to find this inside of Wholefoods. They have cocktails, draft beer, small plates, burgers and sushi. Food was not that great but beer and cocktails were. Plus you can grab what you need from Wholefoods. One stop shop.

Went for a sandwich but gave up after waiting so long. Food preparer were inattentive, slow and not helpful
Just a bummer. I love Whole Foods, but as a libations destination: No. Way behind the healthy curve; fermentations and just low-end swill are all you may choose. Which makes no sense at all: because just behind the cooler glass are aisles of great artistry, but not at glass or table ready? Oh weel. Re-think this guy's, I know Whole Foods has the right perspective for us and our lifestyle. You can do better.
Good food. Cafeteria atmosphere. They have decent beer. Pretty good service. UPDATE: Since COVID, this place isn't worth going to anymore. Used to go here weekly. Same with the one in Newport Center. Went once. Never been back.
Dropping the ball. No food after 830? Ran out of different foods another night - they are located in Whole Foods how can they run out of food!? Good draft selection but unreliable for food.
Wasn’t operating because “there was no bartender on staff today”. People were waiting at the bar to be served but no one was there
