Kitchen 101 Irving Reviews
I don't take time to write reviews unless it was a GREAT experience or a really BAD one. So this place is unreal. Truly an upscale have something for everyone place. The staff are uber helpful and seem to care about the customers. That is so refreshing. I spoke to one of who I believe to be manager and asked how did you find the staff and how to do keep them. She said all the staff have been here whole time. They loss no one. There is a culture here that even Chick-Fil-A can learn from. Thank you and keep it up. Kitchen 101 is killing it.
Very nice setup, very accessible for when your hungry before an event, right next to the pavilion Toyota music factory. Excellent decor, high food quality, dish presentation is very enticing, drinks are cold and a variety of glass bottled sodas and teas. Not to mention food is very delicious, staff is very attentive. 10/10.
First time in Texas, landed and just happened to walk into this amazing place. Atmosphere is phenomenal, warm and welcoming. Food is incredible, will happily recommend anyone come here and see it for yourself
Kitchen101 took exceptionally good care of a large group of us on a recent team visit to the Dallas area, with very short notice. These guys are top-notch, and the food is great. Special shout-out to Onix; he really gave us a great experience.
Not too be high brow but the avocado toast is spectacular! Wonderful and patient service. Warm and inviting interior.
Nice bistro restaurant on the main street of Gettysburg for a good, hearty sandwich, pizza or salad. Excellent quality ingredients and excellent service
Delicious & massive montecristo sandwich! Ordered the full sandwich with the absolutely most delicious side salad. Definitely will be going back to try more options - the Cuban & gyro on the menu look delicious! The coffee selection also seemed superb (unfortunately already had my caffeine fix but intrigued to try!). Outdoor seating is everything! Loved the vibes of their outdoor patio.
1st off, not busy, super friendly employees with great tips that led us to the most amazing and afforable lunch around. Definitely, try the $4 loaded fries!! Homemade fries and homemade cheese sauce took the cake! But ain't gonna lie we polished off the Philly too just didn't get a picture. Owner and cooks were top notch too!
We really enjoyed coming here for brunch!! The service was great and the food and drinks came out super fast. Everything was freshly made and delicious. My husband said they could do to season the food more, but I enjoyed my Breakfast Bowl. I would definitely come back because they have a huge menu with a variety of different entrées.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kitchen 101, and I can confidently say it's one of the best culinary experiences I've had in a long time! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor is charming, with a perfect blend of modern and cozy touches. The menu is diverse, offering a fantastic selection of dishes that cater to various tastes. I opted for the grilled chicken tacos, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. My friends tried the Macnchees and Burger, and they talked about how delicious it was. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations without being intrusive. It's clear that the staff genuinely cares about creating a memorable dining experience for their guests. Overall, Kitchen 101 exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to return. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a special night out, this place is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!
Incredible spot! The moment you walk in you can smell meats on the grill which was a warm welcome. Menu variety is great and honestly price points on their food are pretty killer. I got the Mediterranean bowl with chicken and it was really good, chicken was not dry, veggies were fresh and crisp. The teas are great, had the hibiscus tea and absolutely loved it. My wife got the breakfast sandwich and my son had the pizza. Both of them really loved their food as well!. Can't wait to be back!
Two stars for service thanks to Cory P who was rude this morning. I let him know I couldn’t decide on either the biscuits and gravy or the eggs Benedict. He quickly snapped at me before I could finish my question and with an annoyed look on his face he rudely told me that the menu says BISCUIT AND GRAVY not biscuits. Management needs to stick Cory in the back of the house, he has zero people skills and needs not be in the front of the house. This guy pissed me off and he never answered my question. I placed my order for the BISCUIT AND GRAVY. This was the absolute most delicious BISCUIT AND GRAVY I’ve ever tasted! My husband and I stayed in the area over the weekend and we ate at Kitchen 101 three times. Except for Cory this morning every single employee we encountered on Friday morning and Saturday night was friendly and professional. We talked with a lady who is the trainer for the privately owned company for Kitchen 101 and Sambuca in downtown Houston Friday morning and enjoyed our conversation. I didn’t get her name but I hope she reads this review and retrains Cory or moves him to the back of the house. We heard him rudely correct another guest behind us on BISCUIT AND GRAVY. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The bar drink selection was great. The Whole Hog breakfast sandwich was amazing! The biscuit and gravy was delicious! The cranberry mimosa was wonderful! The Banana Pudding Sugar Tacos for dessert were fantastic! If we are ever back in this area we will for sure visit again.
The Keto steak is amazing! I was in this area for training for 2 days and went here for lunch the first day. After enjoying it so much I ended up going back here for lunch the second day and got the exact same thing. It was soooo good. I wished I lived near this place.
Visited Kitchen 101 for the very first time this past weekend and let me just say it was absolutely amazing. The menu has wide selection and the food was delicious. The service was also great. I really wished I had gotten the name of the person that served us but he was outstanding. Everyone we encountered were super helpful and nice. I will definitely eat there again (SOON). I had the power bowl with chicken, the kale dip, and the Elote(s) not sure if there’s an (s) on the end or not but it was all DELICIOUS.
Wanted a meal prior to seeing a show at The Toyota Music Factory pavilion and this place was right next door to the entrance to the venue. We parked at the convention center covered lot, walked through another garage and we're in the courtyard where Kitchen 101 is located. Great to get there early and was impressed with the food. I got the Cuban Sandwich (Texas Style) and thought it was excellent. Will definitely go back for a pre-show meal next concert/event!
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. During the week they open at 7 am! This is perfect for an early riser like myself. They also have guest wifi available so I was able to work, and have several meals lol. Yes I had breakfast and then a lunch appetizer. The grits that were on my story came from here because I was full off the breakfast tacos!! I really enjoyed the tacos. They were huge and 2 for $5. Customer service was so on point. Everyone was super nice and accommodating!! I will definitely be back. There are so many things I want to try. They’ve got a coffee bar and an actual bar. And I love the set up and the different types of seating they have available. -honegrygirl on Instagram
We came here for brunch and loved it. The food and service were amazing. I highly recommend.
Food was great, not crowded at all during weekdays. I recommend Spicy Korean Steak
The food was delicious, they had various dietary options, and the anti-inflammation tea was an extra special unexpected surprise. My only feedback would be bigger to-go cups 🥰🥰🥰

Pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. Lots of meat and the sauce came on the side so you could put as much or as little as you wanted on the sandwich. Banana tacos were awesome!!
This was different, but a good different. A few Mediterranean food items. Healthy choices. The oil that comes with the chicken skewers was tasty. The side salad was yummy. The atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend it. I would love to try their gyro. I plan to visit again.
I had the chopped brisket sandwich with onion rings and coleslaw. Onion rings were phenomenal! Coleslaw had a nice twist with red onion. Chopped brisket was good. Could have used some more seasoning and some sauce. I don't know if they carried BBQ sauce (thats on me) but the bun it was on was perfectly soft! Atmosphere was very cute but not sure if there was suppose to be a hole in the ceiling where water was dripping from. Maybe they're going for the "industrial" look. Staff was super friendly, bathrooms were kept clean. Parking was a nightmare, not sure why they made the area like that with minimal parking. Walked two blocks to get to our destination. Recommend walking later in the night and not mid day in this Texas summer sun.
My mom and I went to this spot specifically because we LOVE artichokes and they had grilled artichokes, unfortunately they didn’t have it on their menu anymore. But our cashier Arturo was amazing and great at recommending dishes and being transparent on what he wouldn’t recommend. I got the steak skewers and broccolini - steak was PHENOMENAL and came with a chimichurri-like sauce. The broccolini I felt was bland and could use more seasoning. My mom got the Medi Bowl with lamb, which was good but the lamb was cold which wasn’t expected. I also got one of the teas, which is good but also very healthy so I added some sweet tea.
I have been there few days back and randomly went there as I was around Toyota music factory. Saw their dessert happy hours and went in. Luckily, it was just 4 mins before the happy hours end time (5-7pm) and got 3 desserts. I have asked for their recommendation and the girl at the counter was really helpful. We tried their : 1. Lemon 🍋 pound cake : It’s very refreshing taste but it’s for someone who enjoys the sour taste well. 2. Cheesecake : I liked it so much, it’s not too sweet. It’s fresh and soft, topped with strawberry 🍓 and blackberry. 3. Choco chip cookie 🍪: It’s so tasty 😋 Later we also tried their fries and Tortilla chips with salsa.I loved their dips , they so yum . I would like to go back again but I am vegetarian and the options are close to none other than fries, chips and desserts.
Parking was an issue, so we walked a bit in the rain. Great varied menu with paleo plates, friendly staff, and delicious bone broth soup with ribeye. It was a little spicy even though I ordered it mild. The chef remade it for me and it was perfect. Rotisserie chicken was a bit smaller than the image. Plain black coffee was OK, but $5.00, so that made it too pricey for me. Overall, I will revisit to try the breakfast or brunch, or on a chiily day for the Bone Broth soup, no protien, and the spicey heat on the side.
Very good, very tasty! We ate here before our concert at Toyota Music Factory. I had the pulled pork sandwich. My wife had street tacos. Their sauces were unique and very good!

I had the gyro and onion rings- both were acceptable, however, the service and all the mishaps were not. The team must’ve been new, including the manager because other orders were wrong, drinks were far too strong, and the customer service was passive aggressive. At one point, we had to cancel our redo order (a sandwich) bc it was taking so long and we were going to miss our concert. The manager came over and sarcastically said “there it’s taken off for you”, but we had to press him as to how he “voided” and order for refund when we paid cash. It took over 20mins for him to figure out how to solve the issue, and even then, he made it seem like he was doing us a favor “and would take the loss”. Several other patrons left upset as well and it was just a disaster overall.
The Philly cheese steak was enormous and the fries are perfectly salty. The gyro I was alright. Their tzatziki sauce I was not a fan of. The banana pudding tacos: I was excited to try, but was disappointed when I did. The taco shell tasted of stale oil & the banana pudding was instant. However this may just be a personal taste preference. The portions were generous Their brick and mortar location was kept clean, their bakery racks were empty however it was closer to dinner time though. I would have expected to see more in the case. Or the case to be rearranged in a different way to feel more warm& inviting
I'm sorry... $6 for a terrible drip coffee is painful. Tried a latte and it's better but still not great.. $8 for a plain medium latte.. outrageous.. if you add flavor it's basically $10 for a coffee ... Y'all need to rethink these prices, they're offensive
Came here for brunch. Guy that helped me at the counter acted like my presence was a total inconvenience. I ordered the eggs Benedict. The potatoes were not exactly warm. Eggs were cooked well and the side of potatoes was a very small portion. Probably wouldn’t come back. Too bad because the rest of the menu looked good and the restaurant itself is a good vibe.
There is a great menu here at this location. I ordered the Green Curry bowl with vegetables. Once my food came out, I noticed that it was chicken instead of vegetables. I have a dietary restriction so I kindly let them know, I ordered vegetables. My second plate comes out and I am satisfied that it’s the vegetables that I initially ordered. However, as I am finishing my plate, I bite into a piece of chicken. This is particularly frustrating because I already sent back a plate with chicken on it. If I ordered my meal with vegetables, I should NOT have chicken ANYWHERE in my plate. The food was good, just be sure to TRIPLE check that you’re getting exactly what you ordered (which should be the standard).
Maybe it's the location but this was a miss for us. The portions were small for the price. The food was bland and flavorless. The staff were nice and willing to answer any questions. For the cost and quality of the food, I would not be returning.

Should have eaten at the Waffle House. They had employees, but no one was doing their job. Cashier asked my wife 3 times about her eggs and still got it wrong. The food was warm at best, like the coffee. Got the Blue grits and steak. Grits had no flavor or seasoning. The marinade on the steak was more, "different" than good. The best thing in my plate was the 🥑 and the espresso martini. Did NOT see anything that deserved a 4+ rating. Didn't make it to my car before I had go back and leave what I bought. Also, Overpriced because of the location, which is GREAT!
Food was not great for Dallas standards, might taste good if drunk. Pizza was like cardboard and chicken had no flavor, was dry. Rice was served cold.
