Bubbas Burrito Bar Islip Reviews
I have LITERALLY been going to Bubbas since I was in Middle School…. Some of the staff / cooks are still the same and that should really say something about this company as a whole. Food is amazing, people are amazing, vibe is AMAZING! Love you guys!!! -Grilled Chicken Obomber !!!
The food here is unique. It expands the already fun burrito concept into a wonder if this works menu, that actually works. With unique options only found in elite establishments, this company clearly found its own path, featuring burritos, tacos, salads all with their own unique ingredients. A must have for sure. The prices are fair, and well worth the portion size.
Always a great experience here. Typically get take out from here but each time the food comes quick, and is always filled with delicious goodness. Can definitely recommend the Brotato, the Obomber, and if you’re in a spicy mood definitely try the Inferno. Eating in is also a great choice as well as the outside seating.
One of Long Islands finest establishments. Literally fell in love with their burritos the first time I had them. In addition, they are really filling and totally worth their price tag. Would recommend to any locals and those visiting the area.
The burritos are so good at this place. You cannot go wrong with any of the choices here. The burrito you get is a big size too so you are getting your money's worth! Definitely give this place a try if you're near the area! Straight up one of the best places on the island!
This place is clean and awesome!! They just renovated and made it larger. I’ve been coming here for years. This restaurant is always in high demand at anytime you come, so you have to be patient. Patience however pays because the food is amazing and always consistent to the T. I strongly recommend the Idaho burrito with buffalo chicken it’s bomb! I’ve had a most of the menu and everything is always really good. Btw The caramel churros are wow. This is a must visit.
Best burritos around. Nuff said
Fun, inexpensive burrito bar. Lively atmosphere that's always buzzing at lunch time. I sat at the bar and was quickly served by the bartender. They have local and import drafts on tap, plus cocktails and seltzers if that's your thing. Pretty much a menu option for anybody. Park in the back in the lot. Be wary that it gets crowded on Saturdays.
Great food, great flavor, great value, nice environment. There can be a wait at times, at other times you can get your food fairly quickly. I always get the land and sea burrito which comes with steak and shrimp, but there are several tasty taco and burrito options to order from. I love the beach/surfer style decor and lighting which make for a nice environment, and there's plenty of hot sauce on every table. All of the young ladies who work there are friendly and beautiful, ESPECIALLY the bartender, Gia, who is stunning, and has some great assets 😍. The bar itself is nice too. Come support a great local business and have a great meal at a more than fair price and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. 👍🏿👍🏿
This place is always on the money. If you’re hungry and in the mood for a burrito, look no further than Bubbas. Each and every time we order, the food is cooked to perfection and is responsibly priced. I would recommend ordering ahead as it can get quite busy but what do you expect from a place that has the best burritos in town.
Food was great, bar tender was awesome, she jumped on some of the games we were playing. Great place to go and enjoy food and drinks.
If you like burritos the size of an infant, this is the place for you (kidding not kidding, they are gigantic). Everyone is so upbeat and friendly here, and the food is phenomenal and well priced. They have a small but delicious beer selection, and the decor is fun and beachy. My only complaint is that the COVID response is a little disjointed - there is no indoor seating, only some tables outside, or the option to have your food delivered to your car, but it is hard to see how well that works. However, I absolutely appreciate the abundance of caution, and the food is always worth the wait.
Food is delicious.. Fresh... Portions are enormous and pricing is incredibly reasonable. It's a takeout place with a few tables for those who choose to eat in. Weekends after 6pm it's packed and the line goes straight through to out the door. Yes the food, portions and pricing are THAT good. Definitely going back..
So happy Bubbas was open today for the Sunday street fair on Main Street in Islip. The food is delicious, we got the classic chicken burritos, brotato, shrimp tacos and the queso sause for the chips. It was so busy, but the staff worked hard and kept everything so clean.
if you are coming here, you should definitely be prepared for a long way. Not just because it is crowded, but because the food takes a while to prepare. However, don't let that keep you away. The burritos are excellent. Definitely large enough and good enough to split into two meals.
Great spot for a tasty burrito, and a margarita. I tried the Land & Sea burrito (steak and shrimp), and a watermelon margarita... both were VERY good. Check this place out if you get the chance 😎
This place is a double edged sword. The tacos are absolutely fantastic, I recommend the pork belly and fish tacos. I am not a fan of their burritos, they can be a tad dry. Their chowder is top notch and the pick up service is fast and friendly. This place is ALWAYS busy, they keep good service despite the volume. I loathe the parking on this strip of main though. There is additional parking behind the building but it's not super well lit (I almost hit a man who should probably consider more reflective clothing if he's going to be sauntering willy nilly through a dark parking lot at night), and again, it's high volume. Over all great choice for dinner, but getting there just bugs me, probably more than it does the average person.
Bubba's to-go ordering was the best I've seen since the whole quarantine started, easy efficient fast. The staff is always friendly and the food is always out of this world. I drove 3 hours from Pennsylvania for the land and sea burrito and it won't be the last time I make the trip!!
Nice place .. Great burritos and wings and beer .....nice Beachey atmosphere....love all the surf board on the ceiling...
Awesome people great food. Inside tables great bar. Feels like home.
Great food, staff is wonderful, eating in can be a challenge due to usually being very crowded and the noise level being high. That being said the food is even better when you eat freshly cooked and don’t need in.
One of the best Burrito Bars that I have been in. Their Guilt Trip Burrito, is worth the visit.
Food always on point 💯 gets a Lil busy but that's what you should expect from a "favorite spot" 💪
I have had these many times and every time I see them I can't believe how huge these burritos are. They are really good and fresh and every bite tastes unique because of all the different things layers in the burritos. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a killer burrito.
We grabbed lunch on Saturday - we ordered the land & sea burrito and a steak burrito bowl - both exceeded our expectations - the steak was flavorful & juicy, the burrito had whole shrimp - everything was delicious! The highlight of our lunch though was the AMAZING spicy margarita from the bar! Tyra, the bartender, made a delicious drink! I had to go over and thank her - so I will definitely be back for more!
Fantastic food great atmosphere. I love the wait staff They’re all so friendly and accommodating. The service is fast. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable highly recommend!!!! If you haven’t gone yet go!!!
Taste: 5/5 Portion Size: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Catering to Allergies: 5/5 Price: $10 per person Bubba's is the best. I even have a sticker on my computer from the place. Love the food, great service, and good atmosphere. Good prices and you can drive down to the beach for a great sunset if you take it to go. A unique experience and I've been coming back for years now.
Just had a burrito from bubbas for the first time and it was FANTASTIC. The guilt trip was delicious. The flavors and the textures all worked so well together. Can’t wait to try more things from the menu. Picked up my food to go and the atmosphere looks really chill. Wouldn’t mind sitting down to eat in one day.
Delicious food here! Everything tastes amazing. The interior is super fun, great casual place to grab lunch solo or with a group! Very cool vibe inside. The staff is always super nice and the service never disappoints! Plus, literally everything is tasty! Highly recommend! It's definitely a local hotspot!
The food and service was great but the place was super crowded and I couldnt hear a thing the
Bubba’s Burritos is hands down my favorite spot for incredible food and drinks. Every bite of their burritos is packed with flavor, and their drink selection never disappoints. You can tell everything is made with care and quality. What really sets Bubba’s apart, though, is the amazing staff. Christina, the manager, is absolutely phenomenal, professional, friendly, and always makes you feel welcome like family. The bartendering manager Alyssa is always wonderful along with her employees Annika, and Kaitlyn are top-tier! They’re talented, attentive, and constantly go above and beyond to make sure every experience is a great one. If you’re looking for delicious food, great drinks, and a team that truly strives for greatness, Bubba’s Burritos is the place to be. Highly recommend!
Alyssa makes the experience next level. She’s amazing and super friendly Her spicy margarita is perfection and the customer service is top-tier. You can tell she genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great time. Will definitely be back!
My favorite place!!! The food and drinks are so good and the ambiance is even better. Alyssa and caleigh are the best bartenders! The spicy peach marg is my favorite and the barritos (mini burritos offered at the bar) are rhe best!!
Love this place Christina is THE BEST manager. She is always so friendly and her customer service is amazing. All the bartenders are great. Bubbas is such a neighborhood friendly place where you always feel like home.
The place is amazing great food, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere. The music creates a lively vibe, and a special shoutout to Kristina & Erica for her kindness and outstanding service! I’ll definitely be coming back.
Bubba’s never disappoints. If you’re looking for a delicious burrito, look no further. Their generous portion sizes will surely satisfy any appetite, no matter how large
Today I placed an order and a small mistake was made. Christina the manager went above and beyond to make it right. Brandon was great too. Thank you!
BEST BURRITOS IN NEW YORK. Whenever I go to Long Islang for the beach, I always find myself going to Bubba's. Amazing burritos. Portions are absolutely HUGE... I always get the BROTATO, which has marinated steak, fresh-cut fried potatoes, onion rings, shredded cheese blend, and bacon topped with bayou sauce. Also very affordable.
🔥 Bubba’s Burrito Bar Review – The Guilt Trip Hit Different 🔥 My coworker picked Bubba’s Burrito Bar today—and damn, I gotta say, it was freaking amazing. We both went with the Guilt Trip burrito: 👉 Chicken fingers 👉 Mozzarella sticks 👉 Fresh-cut fried potatoes 👉 Bacon 👉 Shredded cheese blend 👉 Sour cream 👉 Topped with their signature baja sauce 👉 Had ‘em throw in jalapeños for that extra kick 🌶️ From the first bite to the last—it was massive, flavor-packed, and just straight-up satisfying. Easily one of the best burrito spots I’ve hit up in a while. Perfect for after a long grind on the job—definitely a place I’ll come back to. Highly recommend picking one up and just vibing out with quality food.
Food- I’ve been coming here for over 7 years, and I must say the food here has never been a let down. I’ve tried a variety of the other burritos, my favorites being the Buffalo Burrito, The O-Bomber, The Guilt Trip, and The Brotato. Everything has generally been fresh and delicious. Service - The kitchen generally seems to move pretty fast with getting orders out, so I would say you’d find yourself waiting 5-7 mins or so for your order on average, even with the constant high volume of customers. Staff - Faces behind the counter change all the time, most are probably college students, but for the most part they are respectful. A personal big shoutout to the young lady with the glasses and blonde/brunette hair who is there evenings, I don’t know her name but thank you for being so kind + amicable! 😁
5.6.23 Our 1st time here, and we loved it. Inside is a very cool vibe with surf boards hanging overhead, small outdoor seating area, self-serve water, and soda area, and a long bar with a huge TV that can split into 4 screens. You walk up and order, once number is called you get your food, spicy sauce and extra silverware is by the soda machine. Our burritos were stuffed and filling. All 5 of us loved them. Friendly staff. We street parked.
Experienced my first burrito 🌯 ever last week here, at the age of 29! 🤣 As someone who's gluten free, not many options. I found this place by accident thanks to coworkers. It was delicious, and they happily answered all my questions. Even shared my excitement! Will definitely be going again!
Town favorite!! Fun casual ambiance. Great food fast. Extensive beer and margarita choices.

Not a single bad thing here. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos!!! On Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, call ahead so you don't have to wait

The food here is great. However they are only taking phone orders and i live 30 mins away. I had called several times trying to get through and could not get through. I took the drive and went in to explain that i couldn't get through and wanted to place an order. I was told i just have to keep trying. I sat in the parking lot for 40 mins and literally called 1,115 times trying to get through. Mathematically speaking i should have been able to get through and place an order but this was not the case. By far one of the worst experiences ive had ordering food from any place.
The food is delicious but the females at the front are real snappy and have an attitude towards customers. throwing food on the counter. They need better customer service. I was treated better customer service when I served in the Marine corps in Okinawa Japan. No I am not a Boomer, I am a millennial.
Good food but a chaotic, loud environment. More of a fast food style restaurant than a sit down restaurant.
This was my first time here. I'm from North Carolina, and was visiting long island with my girlfriend, who grew up there. She said she used to go to Bubba's all the time and that it's really good. I got a chicken fajita burrito with only chicken and rice (boring, I know), and she got a shrimp burrito. When we first ordered, I looked at the receipt. My burrito was around 11 dollars. I thought that was very expensive. Then, we got our food. Let me tell you, that burrito was massive. The seasoning on the chicken was good, it was just a bit dry. That was probably my fault however, because I got it super plain. We also got a side order of chips and salsa. The child tasted a little stale, but they were still delicious. The salsa was incredible. I put some salsa in my burrito to make it less dry, and it added a whole new layer of flavor. The only somewhat big issue, was my girlfriend's burrito wasn't sealed properly so it was falling apart, so she had a bit of trouble eating it. Not a huge deal, as they had forks by the drink machine. Overall, great experience and I will definitely go back to Bubba's if I'm ever back in long island.
Good food and reasonable prices. They have a tasty array of the usual choices and their fish tacos are spectacular. Several local beers available in bottle or on tap and we were allowed to sample a pair I couldn't decide on. Not many places to sit and it caters to a younger crowd, but for take-out, you can't go wrong. Definitely worth it of you're up for a quick bite. It won't rock your world but I was far from disappointed. Would certainly return.
Great California tex-mex vibe, burrito joint, located on main street. I've been coming here for years, and the food never disappoints. I'll start by saying everything is huge; the burritos, the bowls, even the quesadillas; there are all big, and honestly, most things can be split if you have a normal appetite. Some of our favorites are the buffalo burrito, naked burrito, and the land and sea. If you're feeling a little on the extra fat side, the obomer is also delicious. They also have a nice selection of apps with the buffalo empanadas being our favorite. Chips and guac are always nice as well. It's counter service and then seat yourself, or you can order from the bar. Vibes are cool inside, and service is usually rather fast. Enjoy!
Land and Sea burrito is where it's at. There is a proper amount of shrimp and steak even after the re-opening. The sauce in the burrito is amazing and is always on point. Only issue I have is trying to order over the phone can be tough at times. Seems to be busy a lot, but I can understand that they must have orders over the phone often. I have recommended this place to countless people and they have all thanked me for recommending Bubbas to them. Lastly they have updated this place dramatically to fit in with area and they have done a nice job and the surfboards is a nice touch. Thumbs up and keep up the good work.
Amazing food but sometimes not worth the wait. It’s annoying that you try to call to place an order and constantly get a busy signal. It would be nice if they had several phone lines to at least have an order of calls. Instead it feels like I’m trying to win concert tickets from a radio station. Otherwise some of the best burritos and tacos I’ve ever had. Definitely a must
Little too cramped for our liking and the floors were soft. You could everyone walking by. The food was very good and the staff very nice. We will be back.
I've been coming here for years. I always get the same things: The Guilt Trip burrito and Tostado Nachos with grilled chicken. My last visit did leave me frustrated. I called in my order 20-30 minutes before I got there. When I arrived even though my food was ready and sitting under the counter the girl made me wait online after I told her I called to pick up. I would've been out of there in 30 seconds.
I have eaten here for years, Great service, friendly greetings, awesome atmosphere. Fresh ingredients..but I come to notice a while back they changed the cut of meat on their steak burrito. The guacamole needs a shot of zest possibly lime, a pinch of salt , it taste like supermarket guac.
This was my first time visiting this place. It's the Christmas season, and we've been super busy and were hungry, so we passed by and decided to stop in for a meal. I was really impressed by the decor; it was very original, and I liked it a lot. We started ordering, and the service was good and very friendly. The food was delicious. My only suggestion is that if they're serving food, they should put everything together—napkins and forks—on a tray with the food. That's just an opinion, but I think it would be a good idea to try something like that. It would be easier for everyone, both the staff and the customers. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. Thanks, guys, I recommend it!
Came to bubbas to try out their burritos, and they’re pretty solid! Some of the options reminded me of sandwiches from a sandwich shop/deli, so I opted for their classic burrito with chicken, and I got the kids size . It was very filling and yummy, had a lot of flavor! Would recommend if you’re out grabbing a quick bite.

good is absolutely delicious. i was there today around 6pm. the staff was not friendly & acted annoyed & angry. i asked the women that was calling the order numbers & serving the food with blonde hair a simply question and she was snappy & rude. i work in customer service & i get it but i was like taken back.
Food is great, but...The prices have gone up and the portions have gone down. Also nickle and diming things now. Charging extra for paying with card. Ask to swap one meat for another in burrito and it was a 3.50 upcharge because "we don't substitute something like that". As per the arrogant kid behind the counter. Great place for take out but dumb simple things will push people away to local alternatives.
Napkins not available on the tables, which is ludicrous. This place is overhyped. Burrito was large, but unremarkable.
Noticed that nobody has reviewed this place in over 6 years and I believe non of them talk about the food lol. They rated their phone line. Idk maybe it’s me but a busy place is usually a good place. They have good burritos, but they’re not the best. Flavor is kinda bland on some and I have received hard inedible avocado. I literally took it out so be aware. Not the first place to do this me, but just be honest and say they’re not ready and offer an alternative. Burritos might just need some salt. Today’s burrito, the rice was undercooked. I wish they more options for hot sauce, but maybe I didn’t see them. Probably wouldn’t need hot sauce if they used more of their in house sauces. I love sauce so I would like a side of it, but that’s prolly an additional charge and the burrito already cost $15. For the good, burritos are really good size (I finished it) and here’s where they shine they are generous with guac and sour cream. All in all pretty good and you won’t leave hungry. From all of my visits, I rate this place a 3.5. There’s room for growth, for sure.
The food is mid at best. I don't really get the hype of this place. Got the fish tacos, which were very fishy and the birria tacos which were fine but have had better.
Pretty good burrito but not over the top spectacular. They have some clever mixes and will seek to try them over time. From other reviews seems like the exotic ones are the way to go. First time going and wasn’t blown away. Got their Classic and felt overindexed by rice and beans. Barely enough meat or guac in it. I eat pretty bland usually but this burrito tasted particularly light on the flavors. Had to add some hot sauce to take it up a notch.
Tacos were decent (I had the shrimp, Buffalo chicken and veggie) the best of the three was the Buffalo chicken. My wife ordered the veggie burrito. It was a bit dry so we ordered a side of sour cream. With that being said, the burrito was the best thing I had (adding sour cream and some cholula sauce) I didn’t really have anything special.
Used to like this place, thought the expansion would’ve made it easier to sit and Create more room. All they did was add a bar, still overwhelmingly packed, never a seat, I went in there on crutches due to in injury and people pushed and shoved me like I wasent even there. Teenagers scream out the number orders and you can barely hear.. if I wanted to see girls in skimpy clothing, i might as well go to hooters at least they bring out the food!
Great food ruined by horrible and rude customer service. As a first time customer, was treated passive aggressively and condescendingly. One extra star for the great burrito, not sure if I will return due to the girls behind the counter being straight up rude teenagers with attitude problems which completely ruined the entire experience. Shame to see such a great place with great food get ruined with poor customer service.
Ordered an Land and Sea today. What I got was not a land and sea ! Update: 4-16-25 got a classic burrito with chicken. But it just seemed like a mush burrito. You'd think you'd have some bite with the chicken but no luck. It was like shredded chicken .
I used to love Bubbas but they have fallen off when it comes to taste and quality. The chips are always stale now, when they used to taste fresh made. The salsa used to taste fresh made and now tastes like it comes out of a cheap jar. The burritos used to be 10 out of 10, now every time I get one I'm just disappointed. Bubbas used to be my go to burrito place for the past ten years, but now I will be looking for a new spot.
I ordered a Classic Steak Burrito. It had no flavor. They don't have any fresh sauces available to choose from. They only have Cholula's hot sauce. Very dissatisfied with the food. The restaurant is clean and has upbeat staff. But, again the food is no good.
I ordered two border-style tacos and the chips with queso. The tacos didn’t come with corn tortillas, even though that’s what’s listed on the menu. The queso was a good-sized portion, but overall, the food lacked flavor. There are a few different hot sauces at each table, which help a bit—but some actual seasoning would’ve made a bigger difference.
This spot is always super packed, which is usually a promising sign. The ambiance is real cozy and they did a great job on the renovations. However, it becomes frustrating when trying to find a seat. Especially when you see several tables with people just sitting and chatting having already finished their food. Rude. The food is not at all what I expected. Nothing about it is “Mexican” nor a “burrito”. This is hungover “grease-trucks” style food. They dump re-fried stale fries and onion rings in the burrito, no white rice (sorry but that’s not an option for your burrito) and pretty stale steak. Overall I nearly Vomited. Super bland as well, I noticed most people drench their burritos in hot sauce. What’s the point in that? This was my second time here, tried to give it another shot. Safe to say, it’s not my cup of tea.
This place used to be freaking awesome. The burritos were absolutely packed, and they weren’t that expensive. I remember when I was younger about 8 years ago you literally couldn’t call to place an order because they’d have the phones turned off and there was a line out the door like all the time. Sadly, the quality is nowhere near the same. It just doesn’t taste as good. I get a guilt trip and they like literally only put tenders in and they are as tasteless and dry as cardboard. Plus it’s not worth $25 for a burrito and drink.
Went to Bubba's Burrito Bar on a recommendation. Ok. It is a quick lunch and yeah an extra star for the young lady server with the bling ring. Its fast food and fast order. You stand on line and either, check the website via cell phone QR or read the board above the counter. You order pay and get a receipt. 10 or so minutes later, your order is ready. Seating outside. Didn't see recycling bins but counter person took glass bottle saying they will recycle it. (not sure if that means 69 in the garbage) They even had a rain barrel with a spigot outside. Ramp and easy access from back. Little tables and chairs in a nook and cranny narrow backyard. It works. Take the food from the bags with the plastic silverware and the bottles of drink, chips and salsa, and your are all set to eat. The special was a corn chowder. It actually tasted pretty good. The Surf and Turf- recommended by a worker there, wrapped in a burrito cover, was to say, ok. The steak meat was very chewy, the rice sticky and the sauce eh. A place to go and get a lunch. Yeah, it was actually really busy with what seems to be a good following of people who enjoy this type of food. Ya know that old rhyme about beans, beans good for your heart, the more you eat... Well maybe being outside was a good idea after all. **)

Cost 75 dollars thank you.. in the beginning you guys were on point.. feel like your falling off track.. also need to figure out a pick up area to have people waiting on line with people who are placing orders is less efficient.. the side wall by your backdoor should see if it's possible to put a customer pickup area there.. just a idea... anyways.. just not happy with this experience or the last 2 but I give keep giving you guys chances.. bc I do like the selection
Had a couple of times I called in orders and they did not take down all of my order when I approached them about it. At check out at the bar. They a told me I didn't order when I clearly told them twice that I told the person on the phone I needed Something with my order twice, and they acknowledged it. But did not charge me for it. But also gave me a hard time when they gave me the item for free.
I always heard good things about this place, but I’m not sure what all the hype is about. These are the worst tacos I’ve ever had. No flavor what so ever just felt like I was eating sour cream. Fish taco was extremely fishy,I hope I don’t get sick. My husband ordered bean burrito and it was all rice and no flavor.
Absolute garbage experience, heard great things about this establishment turns out it's all fugazi. If you think about going here you're better off just going to the closest soup kitchen by you and having the leftovers from the dumpster.. that will probably be better quality. Don't even get me started on the service, easily the most unprofessional place i have stepped into. Worst part about my trip to this wasteland is the fact i can't get the 20 minutes i spent there back. Whoever "Bubba" actually is hopefully he changes his career because clearly he's not cut out to be running a restaurant.
Believe it or not this is supposed to be a land and sea burrito. You use to order a burrito from this place and it was brimming with steak and shrimp… it’s unfortunate that it’s gone so down hill recently. Hoping they get back to what made them such an awesome spot in the first place.
I’m not quite sure why they have a bar there’s never a bartender behind the bar or open and the staff will let you sit there forever without even acknowledging that you’re there or letting you know the bar is closed with no sign out that it is closed. They have bar hours and happy hour hours behind the bar and that’s not quite accurate either.
Used to love ordering from here - but this place has become an absolute disaster. First of all, when you call to place an order ahead because you may have to be in and out on a quick work break or so, they STILL MAKE YOU WAIT ON THE REGULAR LINE TO REQUEST THE ORDER. What’s the point of being able to order ahead!?!? Don’t even get me started on the parking lot atrocity!!! The entire time you’re waiting inside standing there confused, or other people are skipping you and getting their pick up orders ahead, and when you confront the staff and ask them questions on where to pick the order up, they have the WORST attitude. Not to mention the cashier can’t even understand a word you say when you’re telling him your name. Now, let’s talk about how two burritos went from $20 to almost $40?! Mind you, we take out a few ingredients from the burritos as well. It was bad enough that you could never get a seat in the place to enjoy eating inside the establishment to begin with, but now to completely turn-off the consumer from ordering take-out as well is a new low for this type of low-class food service. Do better Bubbas :)
This used to be my favorite place to eat. I recommended Bubba’s to so many people because the food used to be incredible. Sadly, the last four times I’ve been here the food has been absolutely terrible. I kept giving it another chance because of how much I loved this place, but the quality has completely fallen off. The rice was literally uncooked like it was taken straight out of the package and thrown into the burrito. The meat was bland, barely seasoned, and there hardly seemed to be any of it. It’s honestly shocking how bad the food has gotten. I can’t believe a place that used to be one of the best I’ve ever eaten at has turned into somewhere I don’t even want to walk into anymore. Something clearly changed, whether it’s new cooks, new management, or new owners. This place used to be amazing, but now it’s seriously disappointing. Please fix whatever happened to the food and bring it back to what it used to be. I might give it another try in a year to see if anything improves, but if it’s still like this, I won’t be coming back. With the way you guys are now you don't even deserve one star.
This was the second bad experience we’ve had at Bubba’s. Bubba’s was in our regular meal rotation for years. Then we moved so we only visit a couple times a year. In December we stopped in and the place was filthy, cold and out of several items we like, including bayou sauce. We ate and were disappointed, but thought maybe it was just a bad day. We are back in town and have been looking forward to giving it another try. Once again, cold and filthy. No problem ordering, then the meal arrived and the brotato was full of chicken, not steak. When we brought it to their attention we were told ‘Oh we are running low on steak.’ LOW?!???!? Not OUT!! And NO communication. Maybe ASK if I’d be ok with chicken? Honestly I would have ordered something else, but whatever. I thought I’d try it but then discovered it was FULL of raw onions, which is NOT a brotato ingredient. We were offered free chips and said no thank you. How about offer what I ordered!! We believe in second chances, not thirds. So sad to see such a good place decline.
