Komonz Cafe Ithaca Reviews
In NY you eat a lot of pizza..this is one of the best slices I've Ever had..I got a slice of white and a slice of chicken fajita..WOW .It is fire!!. Highly recommend!! Nice crisp great flavor..I found my new spot any time I'm around.
Fresh halal pizza and gyro. I think I’m doing injustice by just typing that out but their pizza was outclass. Definitely the best NY style pizza I’ve had in NY state. If you’re in Ithaca and looking for a halal meal this is your go to place. don’t even think about visiting any other. Generous portions and decent prices. Definitely worth trying.
Their chicken wrap is amazing! Freshly fried and crispy
Everyone in Ithaca should check this place out!!! I went here a few weeks ago for lunch. The owner was super friendly and the place was clean. I got a rice platter with chicken. Now this plate might look simple, but it had such good flavor. Super fresh ingredients, chicken was season well and grilled to order, and great portions. The tzatziki sauce was delicious and I believe a garlic aioli came with it also. Will be back again soon for this or to try a slice of the fajita pizza!
The owner is extremely nice and sweet, gave us a free bottle of water bc of the heat! Food was delicious, 10/10

Went with my family late at night, we were starving and found this place. We ordered a falafel greek feta wrap, meatball sandwich and buffalo chicken sandwich. It was AMAZING, delicious, 100% would recommend and the service was also very good!
The garlic knots are the best in town! Super soft inside, crispy outside and tons of garlic flavor. Wrap and fries were well made too. I’ll be back to try other items. Friendly owners and fast service Edit: came back and brought a friend, we got a pizza and they made us fresh garlic knots! Everything is so good I hope more folks support them
Stopped in for lunch and the place was somehow empty. One of the best spots we’ve tried in the commons by far. I got the chicken and waffles and it tasted hand crafted and homemade. My partner got a beef gyro and said all the ingredients were fresh and yummy. The owner served us and checked in with us before leaving to ask how everything was. Super fair price for really good quick food.
This place is new in town and has something for everyone! Gluten free or vegan, doesn’t matter he’s got the hookup. There is plenty of seating outside and also inside upstairs. We walked in and ordered on the kiosk, it was user friendly and easy to pay on. Food is made to order so it took about 15 minutes but it was worth the wait. While I was waiting I tried a slice of chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was Amazing. We will definitely be back!
The food is amazing. We got calzones, chicken burger and garlic feta burger. Really delicious. Went back the next day.
Very, very good NY-style pizza. The white slice is EXCELLENT!!!! Crust: both chewy and has some crisp. Flavor: strong garlic and cheese taste. Truly a delight to eat. Also really enjoyed the chicken parm slice! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent place! Delicious, nutritious food and a fantastic variety of options. Friendly, hospitable staff. Fast service. Plenty of seating. A clean, neat store. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed the food here! The potatoes were so fresh, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. We had the chicken tenders with fries, the chicken wrap, and the burger — all of them were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. It’s also so nice to see halal options available for those who need it. A great place with tasty food and thoughtful choices!
Came for lunch while walking the Commons, everything was delicious. There's a nice place to sit and eat upstairs.
Wonderful Service. Was more than helpful and kind when ordering pickup for a very large order. I am so thankful to everyone at Komonz Grill!
Local to the area but have never checked this place out until now, and I’m really glad I did! We got the Greek Tzatziki burgers and fries, and the burger was the best restaurant burger I’ve had in a long time! The food was fresh and you can tell the staff puts a lot of time and care into their business! There are lots of good menu options that I will definitely be coming back to try! There is downstairs and upstairs seating, which is spacious and comfortable. Prices were surprisingly affordable for local fare (have you seen some of the food prices in this town?!). Overall everything was 10/10 and I recommend going here!! ❤️

Fresh food and good service! Gyros, rice platter, chicken parm sandwiches, fries and tenders are fresh and high quality. The garlic aioli and tzatziki sauce were so fresh. Tomatoes and lettuce were farm to table.

Excellent food and big portions. I really like the Falafel, chicken, Philly Cheesesteak, and fries. The staff are incredibly friendly, quick, and highly responsive—always ready to accommodate any requests or adjustments.

I went when it was open but unfortunately the kitchen would not be ready to go for another twenty minutes. Luckily I had some free time so had the chance to browse on the commons before heading back. The menu offers good choices that are simple and local favorites. I choke the chicken and beef over rice mix. The rice had. A great flavor and was good all on its own. I did add feta to my taziki entree, the onions can be hard to tell that they are in the dish since it is white instead of a red onion. I like the upstairs area. My one major complaint are the florescent lights upstairs, it throws off the room and is a bit overwhelming.

Solid step up from fast food at a reasonable price. Getting a burger for $10 is pretty inexpensive these days. It was ok but not fantastic. We also got a falafel wrap and while it satisfied the hunger i think they should put a few pickled onions, spicy sauce or something to up the flavor. Falafel seemed like real chickpeas but seemed a bit heavy. Fries were fresh and well cooked but there is a coating on them i didn't care for. Service was friendly and speedy. Place was clean. Decent variety on the menu with burgers, wraps, plates, pizza.

Asked for a beef gyro wrap with no feta or tzatziki literally got one regular and one with double. Which would be fine if the person they were for didnt have a severe dairy allergy. In which dairy causes their throat to close. I expressed this 3 times to 2 different people taking my order. For $11 for a gyro is bad enough when it is not even on naan but a tortilla. Its just crazy to me how NO Feta NO Tzatziki became double even when they repeated it back to me.

Salad was not worth the money, onion rings over fried and pizza was ok. Not sure why they had a 4.7 rating. I was expecting a really good salad, onion rings & pizza. OVER RATED!

They are not actually halal! The get their meat from some random company that doesn't even sell zabiha meat. They use "halal" as some marketing gimmick but don't even know what halal means
