This place is great! I had the medium jerk chicken with rice & peas/mac & cheese. The portion size is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. The food was delicious and the chicken has a great spice level. Will return!

Coming from a Jamaican, the food is nice. There is a lot of flavor in the rice and peas very authentic 10 out of 10 and the gentleman working in the back was very nice and polite. The small was only eight dollars and it came with a lot of food.

The food was excellent! The service was very personable and friendly! The spice throughout the meal was perfect! Just enough warmth with tons of flavor. I’ll definitely be back- this is such a hidden gem and it’s right by so much and just off the interstate. I’ve been to a few other Jamaican restaurants in the area and this is by far my favorite. I gotta be Jamin jerk chicken express and it was only $8 and a hearty portion! The decor is a bit outdated and the black table cloths while practical incase of food being dropped on it and stains, do give it a dreary vibe but represents colorful Jamaica! Don’t skip this gem!!

A hidden gem!! Never heard of this spot until I came back home to visit and I’ve lived on this side of town for a long time. Nice restaurant, looks like a great place to have a dinner party or event with your family. My curry goat was great and I got the express which was just enough to hold me over that day for my lunch. Service was exceptional and I can’t wait to come back and try out the rest of the menu.

Finally a good Jamaican spot with big portions! Every other Jamaican spot charges the same for much less food. This is one of my new spots now.

Amazing oxtail plate! Everything from the rice to the cabbage to the oxtail had incredible flavour. Generous portions as well. Came all the way from Canada to eat here!

I passed this place while doing an Uber ride. Pulling up you’ll think the place is empty but once you enter you’ll be surprised by the colors inside. They’re beautiful and the line area is nice. Greeted, order taken we sat and waited while speaking with the other customers. The way my taste buds got excited with each bite I wanted to let others know about this place immediately. I was told the jerk chicken was just as delicious as my jerk burger. I will be back!!!

Had the jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage, asked for brown stew sauce on the rice. Portion was very good, Place wasnt busy so food came out quickly. Hot, tasty, well seasoned. Chicken had nice smokey flavor with taste down the bone. Rice was perfect , not dry or mushy like other places.I moved up here from south Florida and have been very disappointed with the Jamaican options until now. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu

Excellent food and service! Glad I found this spot while passing through Jacksonville. I ordered the ackee and saltish with fried dumplings and a spinach patty with coco bread. 10/10 recommend!

I've tried many Caribbean restaurants since moving to Jacksonville. I have to say this is by far my favorite. I've eaten almost every single dish on the menu and never have they let me down! They are always polite and the quality and taste of the food is always consistent. You have to try them out!!

Centy’s Way never disappoints. The food is well-seasoned, flavorful, and tastes like it was made with care. The atmosphere is welcoming which makes the experience even better. My family and I usually order the jerk chicken and the oxtail meal, and they are consistently amazing every single time. I haven’t tried the shrimp pasta yet, but I’ve heard nothing but great things about it and it’s definitely on my list for next visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic, delicious Caribbean food!

I love the food here. It’s actually fresh and seasoned food. He takes his time and food is hot without using a microwave like other Jamaican restaurants. Nice relax atmosphere. Recommend the food and environment 💯

Good service. Clean environment. The food was good. I got chicken rasta pasta. It was seasoned well. Not overly seasoned. I expected more chicken and more jerk flavor but still good and I would order again.

The food was flavorful and a big portion. I did get the “large”. However it didn't give the Jamaican vibe/flavor (brown stew chicken). But no worries. I'm going back to try something different.

Nice chill laid back vibe, they had a live band and I hear more entertainment to come

It was my first time trying Centys and I have to say everything except the cabbage I enjoyed. There was one person tending the bar, kitchen, and front desk so the wait time was long, I was probably there for 30+ minutes. But the lady who was there was nice and very personable. They ran out of snapper and oxtail so they hooked me up with a little extra. I tried the cornbread 10/10, curry chicken 10/10, curry goat 10/10, beef patty 5/10 (not a lot of filling) plantains 10/10, oxtail 9/10 they didn’t have a lot left but the little bit I did have was good, rice 6/10, and the cabbage 0/10 because it lacked flavor. I would’ve rated it a five but I noticed they don’t handle their food with gloves. Food was great overall 4/5 service 4/5 atmosphere 2/5 because of the wait time and disorganization. I will be returning

The food was great. Atmosphere was like a funeral was about to take place everything was black covered. TV playing news, so that was annoying when all you here is politics stuff playing. The waitress was very helpful and accommodating.

First time ordering here. Placed order over the phone. We got a side of mac n cheese and the Jerk chicken and Brown stew chicken medium dinner. We were told medium already comes with rice and beans, and we only get 1 more side. I got the plantains which I must say were delicious. The jerk chicken was flavorful and had enough spice, except it was luke warm at best. Wife got the Brown stew chicken, not even close to what she expected, but she did say it was good. Mac and Cheese was not good at all. Zero flavor or "cheese" in general. 2 dinners and a side ran us about $41. 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ simply because the food was decent and not worth the $41 in my opinion. May give it another shot in the future but definitely not anytime soon.

****Disrespectful portions!**** I ordered a small oxtail with cabbage, and they put it in a small styrofoam side dish box with the oxtail and cabbage inside. Yes, one of those four-inch by four-inch boxes. As you can see in the photo, the plate is smaller than the palm of my hand, and half the fork is hanging off the edge. And the macaroni is as flavorless and cheeseless as everyone says it is. I cannot eat it. I am not sure how this place has as many stars as it does, or any positive reviews about portions at all! Never again! Y'all need to stop lying on these reviews!!! Waste of time and $25.00.

Waste of time, and money...I literally just left. I ordered the large oxtail for $25.99 the oxtail was dryer than the sahara desert, tough without a drop of gravy. Waited on our food for 20 minutes and it was cold. Cabbage was bland with a hint of vinegar. Mac and cheese had no flavor. It was an overall bad experience. I hope that I just caught them on a bad day, but needless to say won't be returning.

NEVER AGAIN!!! When the reviews say they don’t give u NO oxtails for the price believe them!! I’m so disappointed I tried this place today. I mean the oxtail plate make u feel like u buying a plate of rice, a lil cabbage and sprinkle of beans😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️. Imma just go back to Caribbean paradise across the street for oxtails. Cause what centys way is serving for the price is RiDICULOUS!!!

I came to get a togo order. When I arrived, the employee told me she would "make it" and went to the back. When I followed up to ask for an update, she simply said "okay," walked to the back again, and then eventually walked right out the front door. I never received an time. and my questions were completely ignored. While I understand hiring younger staff, they need to be properly trained in basic communication and customer service. This was a very unprofessional experience. If you ordering from the app dont waste your time it won't be ready.
