It's not just the food here, although that's great too; the overall experience was truly exceptional! The white prawns and baby squid were out of this world! But the service and attention were the icing on the cake! The people of Jaén are such wonderful people, especially at this restaurant, which I wholeheartedly recommend! From the owner to the person who makes the rice dishes. They seated us without a reservation on December 25th. There was no parking, but they moved some planters and made space for us. The olive oil was harvested on December 25th or 26th... maybe that's normal there, but for me it was something unique! And the owner did something thoughtful for me that he didn't have to do, but it's the kind of thing you appreciate and leave thinking about when you can return to Jaén someday, and especially to this amazing restaurant! Thank you for such a warm and welcoming experience!

If you are in Jaen, this place is an amazing option! The white gambas are a must! Great wine and food! But for sure the star of the place is the people! What an amazing service! A+!!!! The place was very welcoming and had several different areas. There were six of us eating, and the food was all very good. We ordered two rice dishes, oxtail and prawn, which were both delicious, but they were served a bit cold. The oxtail rice, in particular, was best served piping hot. The French toast for dessert is highly recommended. Regarding the service, I noticed a lack of coordination and some disorganization among the waiters. I'm not sure if it was because it was a Sunday and the place was quite busy, or if it was just a bad day. We'll be back soon!

The staff was very attentive and friendly. They knew the menu and were very attentive to food intolerances. We definitely recommend the tomato, green salmorejo, pistachio, and burrata salad, which was exquisite. The rice was perfectly cooked. We had a very good meal.

It's a gastronomic restaurant where the dishes are enough big (as it's not usual in gastronomic resturant to eat enough)! Foods are so good and they all the time check how you like it. They are so friendly and chef checks his dishes with the customers and listen well how we prefer anything ( he speaks French 😉)

Muy acogedor y con buen servicio. La comida bien y el precio muy aceptable. Para repetir

La comida estaba bastante rica. Lo que más nos gustó fue la tortilla, el arroz seco de presa y las croquetas. También pedimos huevos rotos y arroz meloso de pulpo, chipirones y gambas. Ponen un pequeño aperitivo. La cantidad de los arroces es generosa y el precio es razonable. El lugar es muy bonito, bien decorado y acogedor. El personal, amable. Como pega, decir que tardaron mucho tiempo en servirnos los arroces y nos trajeron la carta de los postres antes de habernos traído estos últimos platos.

Los arroces en su justo punto. Fantástico tanto el arroz caldoso de bogavante como el arroz de pato con boletus. El tiempo de espera se pasa rápido por el buen trato y servicio del personal. El entrante de alcachofas jugoso y muy recomendable. Para los golosos imprescindible el postre "la esfera de chocolate blanco con yogur de violetas", una explosión de sabores.

Si bien la comida está bastante rica y el precio está muy bien, los tiempos nos parecieron criminales. Pedimos 3 entrantes y salieron de 1 en 1, llegando el último más de una 1 hora después de haberlo pedido. Para traer la cuenta tardaron más de 10 minutos. Comprendo que el local estaba lleno y por eso pongo 4 estrellas y no menos, pero la experiencia en conjunto no fue del todo agradable. Si hubiese suficiente servicio, se tardaría menos y la atención sería mejor por no se ir con tantas con prisas continuamente.

If you were to ask me, "Would you recommend this place?" my answer would be no. The place has a nice atmosphere, with a modern and up-to-date aesthetic. The menu isn't boring, although it's a bit confusing. The initial impression is pleasant, but as the experience unfolded, the feelings took a turn for the worse, though not to the point of being unpleasant. The dishes are surprisingly attractive in appearance but not in taste. Even the famous potato omelet is just that—famous, not a real omelet. The rice was very salty and an obscene amount for two people. The Iberian pork was unremarkable. The desserts are uninspiring; they lack sweetness and flavor contrasts. As the last impression you leave with, they leave you indifferent. The attention and service we received were the best part of the experience. The lack of skills among many of the staff was compensated for by their cordiality. There was a noticeable lack of management and control of the dining room, not a lack of enthusiasm. In short, it seems like a place that aims to stand out in terms of experience and sensations, but it remains at the bottom of the ladder without being able to move up a level.

El servido al comienzo de la comida iba muy bien, pero conforme llegó más gente fue muy lento, algo normal por la cantidad de gente que había. De entrante pedimos su tortilla 2015 que fue una decepción, súper líquida y muy simple; también pedimos croquetas que sí que estaban muy ricas. De plato principal una paella de presa con mucho sabor y muy recomendable; y de postre jardín de chocolate creo recordar que se llamaba y fue la gran decepción, el postre más caro de la carta (8,50€) que venden como brownie cuando es bizcocho de chocolate, con mouse de chocolate cuando es una crema de chocolate sin la textura que tiene un mouse.

Buenas tardes. Hoy he estado por primera vez en Dixtinto, y la experiencia ha sido bastante agridulce. En cuanto llegué al local me encantó la decoración y la primera impresión dejó las expectativas muy altas. Hemos pedido de comer dos tortillas y una primera ronda de bebidas, que ha tardado como una hora. Posteriomente habíamos pedido carrillada y arroz meloso con pulpo, gambas y chipirones. La tardanza era muy notable no solamente con nosotros sino que había malestar general en toda la sala por su tardanza. Para la segunda ronda de bebidas (2 horas y 15 minutos que hemos estado) las hemos tenido que reclamar en varias ocasiones ya que ya sido la última ronda de bebidas que hemos podido tomar. Dos rondas de bebida en dos horas. La carrillada estaba muy buena aunque algo fría y nos lo han sacado a la vez que el arroz, que lógicamente al pedir caldoso mientras nos hemos comido la carrillada, el caldo ya se habia consumido. He de decir que ambas cosas tanto la carrillada como el arroz estaban muy buenos de sabor, pero el servicio ha sido pésimo por la tardanza. No sé si será por falta de personal o inexperiencia; porque en ciertas ocasiones los camareros no sabían dónde iban los platos de algunas mesas y daban vueltas, o no recogían lo sucio de la mesa, o bien se olvidan cambiar el servicio de platos. Tras pedir varias veces la cuenta ( ya casi con el local vacío) al final tuvimos que bajar a pagar personalmente. Los camareros correctos, pero tampoco pedían disculpas por la tardanza de las cosas. Reitero lo dicho, todo lo que hemos comido estaba muy bueno, pero la lentitud ha sido horrorosa y extrema ( yo he trabajado en hostelería y se de lo que hablo). A mí personalmente no me compensa por buena que esté la comida tener un servicio así y tardar tanto para comer. Yo personalmente no volvería

Me and my friends we command a vegetarian paella,it was bad we didn't like it, bad choice of vegetables and also the quantity was very small for 3 persons, it was enough for 2 but not for 3. Tha place look good, but the experience was disappointed 😞☹️ especially for the price that we paid.

A disappointment. This used to be the place we had to visit, each time we were in town, however, it seems the quality has been replaced with quantity. The service left a lot to be desired, 20 minutes waiting for the menu, 20 minutes waiting for the check (with restaurant being only half full). The waiter almost threw the card terminal on the table (and we would not have gotten the menu in the first place if I hadn’t asked for it). Moreover, the food that arrived at the table was just cold, we thought one plate may have been an honest mistake but when both the octopus and the rodaballo arrived cold, we decided to skip the desert and ask directly for the check. What we have exprerienced really does not justify the price, and my two starts are only because I remember how much we enjoyed eating here previously. We will give it a break for the moment…
