Ordered from this restaurant a couple times via Postmates specifically cooked up saltfish with dumplings. The food is amazing and todayvwith my delivery whomever prepared my food wrote this beautiful message on my delivery bag! Tried the sea moss & soy milk peanut punch. They have vegan options for drinks! I live in New England & we never have any. Jamaican sea moss drink is def diff from St Croix. As we use condensed milk, spices etc in our Irish sea moss drink so its pretty sweet. But Jamaican sea moss drink is not sweet but very fresh and healthy. My cousin who isnt vegan tried the food & thought it was awesome!
It's not a dine-in restaurant. However, I just placed an order in door dash. The food is always great. But for the love of peace NOT EVERYONE likes gravy I PARTICULARLY DON'T LIKE GRAVY. There is an option for special instructions, it's even printed in the receipt NO GRAVY and my food comes with GRAVY, my rice is soggy and all the vegetables..OVERALL this is the only time i don't think I've ENJOYED my MEAL THAT I PAID $20 FOR YOU TO GET IT WRONG... Food is always good. I have gotten curry goat, jerk chicken, sweet chili shrimp and bbq fried chicken. I ususally stick to simple rice and peas or white rice but one time i ventured out and got the jerk chicken fried rice. I would say it was a bit too spicy for my taste. I like when i can enjoy the meal and taste all the ingredients not just the spice. Some people might appreciate that level of spice, it's just not my cup of tea. They have a good selection of drinks and desserts. Staff is always friendly and quick.
While visiting the city, we decided to check this place out. We got a fried chicken plate and a jerk chicken plate. The food was fresh and flavorful. The combos were a good amount of food for the price. Service was helpful, fast and friendly. Sorry, we ate it too fast for photos.
I was on the hunt to find a good Jamaican restaurant when I stumbled upon this little gem online. First of all, the greeting and the smile that was on Calvin's face was very welcoming. I tried their oxtail with peas and rice, streamed vegetables and plantain. I also tried the Irish Sea Moss. I also bought 2 slices of their cake. When I got home, I was beyond surprised at the amount of food in the food container. The food was beyond delicious. Everything was fresh and flooded with flavors. I will 100% be returning to this restaurant.
Small, but clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I had the Jerk Pork dinner with vegetable rice. 😋 Delicious, pork is tender and seasoned well. Definitely coming back
The Food is authentically Delicious, Fresh and very Flavorful! The portions are generous and the pricing won’t break the bank The food reflects their love of providing traditional great tasting food; like Sunday Dinners at GrandMa The service is top notch and the staff are friendly and engaging! All I can say is AMAZING. I don't like cooked cabbage, so I didn't get any with my order, but the oxtails? Wow. So tender and flavorful. Def a must go!!!
Food is good. The fried dumplings, liver, kidney is always A1. Overall breakfast is great. Lunch /Dinner is good 👍🏽
The jerk chicken is oven made and gross. The only way to make jerk chicken is with a Grill. Anything else is just baked chicken. The plantain are also severely overcooked.
They like to change up the prices if they think you’re not Jamaican. One time I ordered 2 ackee and salt fish and it was 28 dollars the next time I ordered it with an American accent and they charged me 46. Funniest part is the Uber Eats price is cheaper than both of those. Bare joke dem runnin 50 dollar fi a 2 breakfast. Food good but dem corrupt. Edit: Even as you look through the reviews you see the fluctuating prices for the same meals for different people.
Food was good but the woman there is so rude first time going there and was looking to see what I wanted and she rushing me like they had other costumes in there mind u I was the only one in there
I order Fried Dumplings with Salt Mackerel this morning, the dumplings are very oily and sweet. Nothing is wrong with the Salt Mackerel but they add a ripe plantain in it, I didn't enjoy the plantain because some part of it is burn. The only thing I enjoy overall is the Salt Mackerel, but still I'm not going to buy back any breakfast from this place again.
These people are annoying atp. I write in the when I order off a delivery app what I want and they give me the opposite . The lady who answers the phone in the morning is rude. They say they don't have certain items but giving other customers the breakfast items I asked for. They never follow or read instructions . The food come spilling out the bag they don't pack your food with proper care.
This is the worse plate of Oxtail that I have ever tasted for $25.00. This is a disgrace! The food look nothing like what was advertised. One bite of the oxtail and immediate nauseousness from the taste and smell of rawness. You people should be ashamed of yourself!
The food isn't the same anymore they fell off. The curry goat was delivered to me late and the meat was chewy and hard. White rice no flavor, jerk pork was terrible. Even the festival not the same . Maybe a new cook idk but I think I'm done ordering from them
Food was once great. Chicken has a rank odor, not seasoned properly. It does not matter if it's curry, jerk or stew. I will not be buying food here anymore. Please don't forget you guys are providing a service and we are spending our hard earned money.
