My wife and I decided to try something new for our anniversary and landed on this place. The gentleman that waited on us, Muath(sorry if I spelled that wrong) was extremely friendly and made us feel like friends. He was patient while we asked about food that was foreign to us and answered all of our questions. Throughout the meal he was extremely attentive and kind. The food was extremely fresh, and the chef definitely takes great pride in what he does. This place is a hidden gem.

The owner is super knowledgeable about the food that is prepared. I had “Chicken Tandoori “ and it was so tasty, fresh and full of flavor. My husband had “Chicken Curry” the best ever. The flavor was excellent and spice level was superb. I would highly recommend Foodies.

Our two friends, my husband and I just had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. My girlfriend and I had the Bolognese with spaghetti. My husband had the Caldereta (Filipino stew) and Basmati rice. The other husband had a rice bowl. We all found the food to be superb. We had Mango Lassis which were great. As much as we visit restaurants for the quality of the food, we find the ambience equally important. The owner of the restaurant spends as much time with you as you want, and is more than willing to describe each dish and what goes into making it. The chef himself came out and talked with us. I don’t know too many restaurants where this happens. I loved Hassan’s sense of humor-especially when in my conversation I confused Greek and German! He just really went out of his way to relate to and connect with his customers. He shares multicultural experiences that add to the understanding of and appreciation for the food choices. We left saying it was just so much fun to be there and can’t wait to go again. The schnitzel looked great and I want to try the pizza. Thanks so much for making our dining experience so delightful. FOODIES RESTAURANT IS THE PLACE WHERE MY STOMACH FOUND ITS SOULMATE - I ordered their chicken pizza, turkey Schnitzel & traditional Pakistani Chai - Just to confuse my digestive system. This is my second time visiting foodies. Everyone was very friendly and the service was fast. This time, I ordered their tuna pizza and their authentic German Bienenstich cake — a true rarity to find — and both were exceptional. The tuna pizza was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, while the Bienenstich was light, creamy, and delicately sweet. This place is highly recommended for anyone seeking a flavorful experience.

Foodies Restaurant in Johnson City is the real deal. I’ve been to a lot of places, but this one stands out for how clean, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared everything is. The fact that it’s halal is a huge plus, and they don’t cut corners on quality. You can tell the people running it actually care about the food, about the customer, and about doing things the right way. The vibes are chill, the service is warm, and the food tastes like someone’s putting their heart into it. If you’re in Johnson City and want something that’s legit, fresh, and leaves you feeling good after, this is the spot. Simple as that.

Accidently stumbled onto this restaurant while driving from Great Barrington, Mass. to Corning, NY. It was lunch time, but we wanted to avoid the usual highway chains serving the usual bland food. We really lucked out when we pulled up to Foodies. Not only is the menu varied, presenting Italian, German and other specialties, but the host was friendly, engaging and very helpful. Both the schnitzel (me) and the aglio e olio (my wife) were prepared deliciously by our host. We also enjoyed a pleasant conversation with another couple there. If we lived in the area, we would definitely be regulars. Hope to be back soon.

It's rare to have so many different international styles to choose from all in one place. This was a real treat. The proprietor is very friendly and personable. This had the feel of going to a trattoria in Europe- delicious, home-made, home-cooked simple food with high quality ingredients. Real food. Not greasy. There’s a lot of heart in this food. We really enjoyed the schnitzel. Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes.

It's been a long time since I had schnitzel and I ordered the Gipsy Schnitzel. It was EXCELLENT! The sauce is tomato based and has a nice touch of spice to it. The schnitzel was cooked to a perfect crispy finish while keeping the meat inside tender, just like I remember it from German restaurants. The staff was very friendly and the food came out quickly. It's a relatively new place so it doesn't have many reviews yet, but I definitely recommend checking it out!

Was having a really long, and rather bad day , and walked into this place feeling rather in rage , but the immediate comfort that you feel when addressed by the owner is similar to that comfortable feeling you get when your are sitting in your own kitchen while mom/dad make you food. My stress, and thoughts of my horrible day were quickly flushed away by the overall comfort that the owner had shown. His confidence in helping me choose the best items for how I was feeling, and he knocked it out the park. He cooked me a meal that dissolved the pains and scares of my day and brought me back to being a child in my mom's kitchen. Ssa. Driving from Canada, I saw the reviews and stopped there. There is no place in a 200-mile radius where you can find genuine homemade food. Really loved the Alfredo chicken pasta. It was rich in flavor and taste. The sauce was not too heavy. Will come again.

I have been looking for a place that made good schnitzel. Well, I have to say I went to Foodies tonight with my partner and her sister and they had the Wienerschnitzel and I had the gypsy schnitzel. I’ve lived in Germany, and this was authentic schnitzel with authentic German side dishes, and a homemade dumpling. The schnitzel was spectacular and I am so looking forward to my next visit so I can try the other variations that are on the menu.

My fiancée ordered the rahm schnitzel and I ordered the chicken curry. Both dishes were very well made. The curry was flavorful and had a nice level of heat. Crispy and juicy schnitzel topped with a perfect smooth, umami cream mushroom sauce. The potatoes were also a good pair for the rahm. The owner was extremely nice, and gave us a free dessert - cheesecake bites! Very tasty, each coated in a white chocolate layer that reminds me of an upscale Zebra cake. Service: The owner and cook served us, personally. They may have been the only two working. They were attentive, and made sure that we had everything we wanted. Incredible Schnitzel, fresh and tasty and a huge portion, too. It was a busy night and the chef/owner cooks everything from scratch, so be prepared for a long wait (about 45 minutes when we were there) if the place is busy, but the food was well worth it. Chef is very friendly and knowledgeable and offered us free Bienenstich (a German pastry with cream filling) for dessert to compensate for the long wait, which was also freshly made and delicious. We will be back next time we are in town.

Goodies, Name states itself, when you walk in you feel welcomed and appreciated by the unknown owner of the establishment. Unfortunately, my order didn’t go through promptly , but The situation was handled professionally and courteous. For my wait time I was given a delicious homemade strawberry milkshake , the owner Then started to work diligently on the two 10 inch pizzas but upgraded one . It was absolutely worth the wait!! The sauce burst with fresh spices and the crust was like perfect light pastry flakes. This restaurant brings the unique flavors of Europe without the need travel. Incredible Schnitzel, fresh and tasty and a huge portion, too. It was a busy night and the chef/owner cooks everything from scratch, so be prepared for a long wait (about 45 minutes when we were there) if the place is busy, but the food was well worth it. Chef is very friendly and knowledgeable and offered us free Bienenstich (a German pastry with cream filling) for dessert to compensate for the long wait, which was also freshly made and delicious. We will be back next time we are in town.

Goodies, Name states itself, when you walk in you feel welcomed and appreciated by the unknown owner of the establishment. Unfortunately, my order didn’t go through promptly , but The situation was handled professionally and courteous. For my wait time I was given a delicious homemade strawberry milkshake , the owner Then started to work diligently on the two 10 inch pizzas but upgraded one . It was absolutely worth the wait!! The sauce burst with fresh spices and the crust was like perfect light pastry flakes. This restaurant brings the unique flavors of Europe without the need travel. Thank you for your food and for your service

Had to wait awhile for food. Still working out bugs. Friendly staff and food was realy good and worth the wait in my opinion.

Great place a bit of a wait but it’s more than worth it

This is a place that feels food-first, and thats important in our local competetive food market. Tandoori Chicken was excellent, very juicy and well cooked. Garlic fried rice was fresh and steaming, crispy vegetables. I will be coming back for the pizza and schnitzel and its my recommendation that you give them a chance.

Staff very friendly. Just opened so they were working on getting liquor license so there will be a bar. Had karaoke playing on the TV the while time we were there. Food was excellent and authentic.

Had a lovely stop on way from NYC to Buffalo. Delighted to find very tasty not-the-usual road fare. And very friendly proprietor.

(Weiner) Chicken delicious - well prepared. The berry sauce and saurkraut- AWESOME! Spatzel... did not impress. I would recommend giving it a try - especially if you like friendly people and good food.

The owner was wonderful. Pizza was mediocre.

There was one party of 8. And my GF and I at 7 pm on a Friday. And even though pizza is a dominant part of the menu. They had no dough prepared. The chicken I had was decent and the pasta my GF had was decent as well. But the $52 price was ludicrous. .........I find your response to my review to be petty and supremely unprofessional. Making this about my income or lack thereof is actually quite funny. I have no issues paying that amount when the food warrants it. I knew when I ordered what I would be paying and chose to order it anyway. I didnt ask for a reduced bill I just paid the bill and left a 20% tip as the service itself was pretty good. But the quality of the food didn't justify the price .The preparation itself wasnt worth what I paid. regardless of the cost of the ingredients. I dont know if we just caught you on a bad night or if this is typical of your establishment. But when we come in for pizza at 7 pm ( not late at night) which as I stated is a prominent item on your menu and you had no dough prepared . And then I ordered Tandoori chicken and Naan and you didnt have Naan. Thats kind of ridiculous. I could understand if I walked in 30 minutes before close but not during peak dinner Hours. I didn say the food was trash, or even just bad I just said it wasnt worth what I paid .

The worst pizza I have ever had in my 64 years. It’s flavorless and has the palest,flat crust.

Shut down by Health Dept for failure to pass inspection.

Just ordered from here for the first and last time. The food was terrible and wayyyy overpriced. The calabrese salad and tossed salad were warm and the tomatoes really soggy, couldn't get it down. A lot of money for food that was just not good. Not only that, but the driver and I chatted while he sat there and waited for my food for over half an hour. Not sure why they called the order ready for pickup if they weren't

Worst food I've ever had. Bland as hell. I would not recommend at all. Not worth the price.
