Le Fontane Katonah Reviews
Why did I take so long to stop here and eat?? I loved every minute here. The outdoor dining patio was perfect under the tent. Weather was good and they have fans outside under the tent to keep air flowing. I had dinner here 7/4/23 and savored every bite! I had the Veal Capri. Veal cutlet with a caprese salad on top with arugula and slices of Avocado and Artichoke. Sooooooo good and light for the summertime. Service was impeccable. I will be back again soon!
I really like the his restaurant, it is consistently great and has fresh seafood specials all the time. They make their own pasta and can accommodate a group of any size. This is a famy favorite for m as my years.
Everything was amazing here! It seems so hard to find a good Italian restaurant these days. La Fontane is superb. Outstanding food and service. I will definitely return.
I love this restaurant. I went there for work holiday parties, lunch, dinner and some birthday dinners. The owner is very kind; the staff are all so friendly and the food is delicious. I always have a wonderful experience there.
We, (20 shareholders) just had our annual family business meeting at Le Fontane, and again were so impressed with the food, and the service. Michelle made all of us feel welcomed, and well taken care of. Big thanks.
Wonderful experience in the restaurant at a lovely birthday dinner. The food (from bread, salad to fish and pasta entrees and later dessert) was delicious. The staff were really friendly and the restaurant ambiance was cozy and relaxing. The food was well priced. We had a wonderful time. Many thanks to the owner and the staff, all of whom went above and beyond. Definitely a restaurant worth a stop in Katonah.
I have and will eat here frequently. Everything is perfect, but I have a suggestion. Today the server Was clearing the table while some of us were still eating, Bringing containers for the takeout food that was left over. I for one felt rushed and I felt it was an interruption to Our dining experience.. Perhaps this doesn’t bother other people, but I find Unnecessary and just plain wrong. It should only be done if someone at the table requests it.
Le Fontane didn’t just serve me dinner — they served me an experience. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and honestly? Best gift ever, because now I know true joy lives on a plate of pasta. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Inside? Romantic, cozy, private enough that you don’t feel like you're third wheeling the next table over. Outside? Straight-up fairytale vibes. If a raccoon in a tuxedo had brought me a glass of wine, I wouldn’t even have questioned it. The staff? Elite. We weren’t just served, we were guarded, pampered, doted on like royalty. I swear they had a sixth sense — the second I thought “hmm, my water’s low,” someone appeared out of thin air with a refill like some hydration wizard. Plates? Cleared so fast I started to wonder if I had hallucinated the whole meal. The food, though. Oh. My. God. My blueberry margarita was so good it rearranged my DNA. The calamari? Perfectly crisp, light, and dunked into a spicy marinara that made me want to shout profanities of happiness. If they bottled that sauce, I’d buy it by the gallon. For dinner, I had chicken francese that was so tender I’m convinced the chef tucked each piece into bed the night before, read it a story, and whispered affirmations into its little chicken ear. My boyfriend’s shrimp & scallop rigatoni? I stole one bite, and that sauce belongs in a museum. Then came tiramisu. The staff sang happy birthday and I blushed like a kid on stage at a school play, but let’s be real — if you don’t end your birthday with dessert and applause, did it even happen? Final thoughts: If the food apocalypse comes, I’m building a bunker under Le Fontane. This is not “just a restaurant.” This is the reason I believe in love.
Authentic Italian cuisine with the freshest and best quality ingredients. Absolutely delicious! The nouveau-rustic ambiance is the perfect backdrop to savor the delectable food, and the service is remarkable. Highly recommend!
Delicious. I had chicken scarpiello. It was one of the best I've had. Bone in chicken, so tender. It comes with veggies instead of pasta which I prefer. You can order a side of pasta or substitute. The atmosphere is beautiful. The grounds are picturesque with so many plants. Our waiter Benny was great. Attentive and friendly. An asset to the restaurant.
We are always raving about how good the food is here all the way home. Our last visit we had the Sfizio Italiano appetizer sampler w/parmigiano, bruschetta, sopressata alpi, roasted red peppers, and mini potato croquettes. The peppers are so sweet like candy. We had muscles with sausage. Delicious sliced sausage and big pieces of garlic in a light marinara. I got chicken parm with homemade rigatoni and it’s always good but this visit I couldn’t stop eating my husbands chicken scarp that was on the special menu. It was with bone in chicken that you could taste was roasted and seasoned perfectly. He had requested it served over rigatoni in the same sauce and he then cut all the chicken off the bone and mixed it in that wonderful sauce. It was a little spicy but so wholesome. We finished as usual with authentic apple strudel with gelato and coffees with baileys on the side. The service is fantastic. A waitress there that wasn’t even our server that night came over to say hello. The owner brought us two small glasses of his lemoncello on the house. The atmosphere is cozy and currently well decorated for the holidays. We had plenty of leftovers that we ate the next day, I already can’t wait to return.
I discovered Le Fontane about 25 years ago, as I newly moved in from Italy. I was looking for places offering authentic Italian recipes. Le Fontane has since been on my list of favorites, and the owner is part of the magic: always friendly and smiling, committed day in day out to make sure that customers walk away with the best experience. Last night I appreciated the Xmas decorations, inside and outside, that make the place even cozier and more pleasant. The food was excellent as usual, and the service was tops. Highly recommended. The excellent homemade Limoncello sealed the deal at the end of the dinner, courtesy of the owner...
Have sat down and Got a to go orders. Pizza and salad, ready for me when I got there. Food was good if a bit on a small size.
Don’t really know what to say?? Came for restaurant week after looking at the menu on valley table. When we arrived it was a completely different menu?? All the good options were changed?? Started off with the smallest amount of calamari (and i mean small) and a microwaved! eggplant and pumpkin app (which turned out to be the best thing we ate). Splurged and ordered a side of rice balls which came microwaved and resembled a mushroom cap shape. Then off to entrees… my wife got a parpadelle with steak tips and it was meh but i was the true winner.. I ordered the crispy duck with mushroom risotto… well… the duck came out resembling a piece of fried pork chicharron! They took the entire piece of duck scored the fat and dumped it into a deep fryer. Need less to say it was way over cooked and tasted like the rest of the fryer oil. The risotto was bland as well. Dessert came out we had a microwaved piece of apple cake and a sliver of cheese cake. Sorry guys u should be trying to impress new customers so they come back not microwave them back to there car. Servers were very nice but service was slower then a turtle crossing the road? I just couldn’t understand why, almost everything was microwaved!!
