We had a wonderful experience at Astor Table during our New Year’s Eve dinner. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Chef Casey is incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, and the entire customer service team reflects the same level of professionalism and warmth. You can truly feel how much they care about their guests. Our server, Santiago, was outstanding—very friendly, attentive, and made sure our family felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish we ordered was beautifully presented, well cared for, and full of flavor. Everything shown in the photos is exactly what we enjoyed—divine from beginning to end. It was the perfect place to celebrate a special family moment, and the attention to detail truly stood out. We will definitely be coming back without a doubt. Highly recommended!

My sister and I come here often, the atmosphere is comforting and the staff is always so kind. This most recent time that we were here, we were recommended the turkey leg by our server. So we ordered one with both shrimp alfredo and dirty rice. It was so tender and flavorful, really everything about it was just perfect. If you're looking for a turkey leg, cappuccino, brunch, or a great meal in general, this is your spot!

Astor’s Table absolutely blew me away! The food was incredible from start to finish, and the mystery mimosas were such a fun and delicious touch. The service was top-tier—every staff member was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The highlight of the visit was Chef Casey personally coming out to sit with us and chat. That level of connection and hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable. Everything was amazing, and I’ll definitely be back!

Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted outside by the owner, who was absolutely amazing! Our server, Lowa, was outstanding super attentive and friendly. Definitely check out the 1¢ mimosa brunch deal! You pay regular price for your first one and get five more for just a penny each. One thing I really loved was that during brunch, we still had access to the full menu. I’m not much of a breakfast person, so that was a big plus! My husband is from Africa, and I’ve had plenty of authentic home-cooked African meals from my in-laws this restaurant was right on point! As a young African American couple, we felt very welcomed, and the food was full of flavor. We’ll definitely be back. I ordered the oxtails (I’d rate them a 6/10 — good, but could be even better), and my husband got the Peri Peri chicken with jollof rice, plus beef and African spicy chicken empanadas. Everything he ordered was outstanding — so much so that we ended up getting another plate to go!

Astor’s Table is an absolute gem in Katy! The hospitality was 10/10 and the food was 10/10. Chef/Owner Casey and his team really make you feel at home while delivering authentic South African flavors that are on point. We tried the jollof rice with oxtail — incredible. The fufu was perfectly made, and the meat plate was packed with flavor and variety. Every dish was cooked with care and served with warmth. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience with amazing hospitality and outstanding food, Astor’s Table should be at the top of your list!

We came here for HRW and it did not disappoint. There were 3 of us and we ordered different things so we had a variety of plates. The flavor of the beef empanada was probably one of the best I’ve had. My favorite entree was the Picanha plate. The beef was perfectly tender and flavorful however my cousin and sister swear the lamp chops were the star, there was no gamey flavor or aftertaste. It was clean, well cooked, and seasoned. Desserts were good and the portion sizes for everything were perfect. They had a variety of options on their regular menu so we’re definitely coming back again.

I performed a Googe search for romantic restaurants and this restaurant came up. I was unexpectedly surprised to walk in the front door to find the low lighting and live soft jazz singer. The food was absolutely amazing and I must recommend the Oysters Rockefeller. The espresso martini was so wonderful that I had to have 3. Highly recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.!

This was our first time here for restaurant week and it was fantastic! The service from everyone we came across was amazing, our waitress Deja was attentive, friendly, engaging and professional. It was also nice to meet Chef Casey who came out to our table and introduced himself to us as we praised him and the staff for the phenomenal food and atmosphere. The goat, the catfish, the mimosas, and the Malva pudding was amazing! My husband and I will be back very soon!

Definitely recommend… I opted for brunch on a Friday. Though service began a little off by our server not being sure if the penny mimosas special was applicable everything was excellent from there. Though this isn’t a weekend so you don’t have the DJ experience it was very nice. My few observations: the decor could stand some updating, rock salt vs grinders at tables, the hot sauce was HOT (may be a good thing). the chef/owner coming to check in on customer after service was what definitely earned 5 stars on top of the amazing food

There's a lot of great potential with this place. It has a Cool vibe and everyone there was super friendly. The food was very tasty and I love the many different options. The one thing that was severely lacking was quality of the service. Even though waitstaff is polite and friendly they appear to not know what they were doing and you can tell that the organization was not the best. Example was they forgot to bring us silverware to eat with even after our food was brought to the table we still had no silverware. We asked for certain condiments on multiple occasions and the waitress totally forgot what the request was. service was 4 out of 10 and to Cap it off at the end of our lunch she spilled a drink of alcohol and water all over me and the table. With the negative things being said I still am going to return for a repeat visit because the food was so tasty and the chef was out and about mingling with the patrons he was very polite.

Placed an online order and was told couldn’t come inside. After waiting outside I received my food and went back to my car. To my surprise I didn’t have any silverware went back up to the restaurant and asked for some silverware one lady went in to “grab” it but never came back. Upon arrival I was told I couldn’t come inside due to me placing an online order. Waiting outside an establishment in the heat for food when it’s 2 customers inside the place is unheard of. You should inform your online customers that they aren’t welcomed/ allowed to come inside to pick up food they paid for unless they’re dining in. As stated previously will never be back! This is the worst experience I’ve ever had from a 4 star restaurant in my life. I expected Better.

Bad value for money and food isn’t even good!! We decided to try this restaurant as part of the Houston restaurant week and boy a boy. We left. Seriously disappointed.. we had high hopes because of the reviews and what we had seen in the pictures and what folks were talking about. But I don’t know if it was a late Saturday evening service or what it was. But our experience and food was nothing close to what we were hoping or expecting. This is despite the fact that we were celebrating a special day, and had informed the restaurant, and while they celebrated all other folks, they didn’t rally care to celebrate us, or even acknowledge after they seated us. The restaurant menu was a separate menu and was at $55 per person and included three courses. In my opinion, it was absolutely not worth the money and not great value. We have spent close to the same amount, and had far better and satisfying meals at places like Rumi. Overall, not impressed with a service, or with the food quality in general, even though the chef came out and stopped by our table to check in and seemed like a really nice kind man who is also the owner of the restaurant. I didn’t really wanna get into this with him. The snapper that my husband was really looking forward to. Since it was. His Birthday really fell short of our expectations. In fact, it didn’t even feel like it was a snapper. They were out of the dessert that we wanted, and while we asked for it to go. He actually just got it out and we noticed how small the dessert was to begin with. Overall, our experience wasn’t great. Our server didn’t seem that great, and seemed to be just rushing things and pushing things and not really attentive, don’t think we will be back here again. I went back and read the reviews that were rated low and found that our experience resonated exactly those experiences!! So now I see why, and notice that it’s a pattern!! They are just cutting corners and not standing up to what they claim. I doubt this model will sustain long term, specially with the dissatisfaction and reputation they are building for themselves.
