El Sombrero La Alberca Reviews
We love El Sombrero. They serve authentic Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. The staff always treats us with courtesy, and the food is delicious. We're usually there at least once per week.
Some of the best Menudo I've ever had! The lengua tacos were killer too!
I’m from Arizona - Mexican Panamanian. I was looking for some authentic Mexican food and it has been hard to find it on the east coast. THIS IS THE PLACE. I ordered the birria tacos and it tasted like home. The flavors were perfect. Very underrated place - you don’t need flashy whitewashed atmosphere, this place is just perfect having a TV with soccer on it. 10/10 would recommend.
Went to this wonderful restaurant on Cinco De Mayo. Was greeted with kindness,, and got a table immediately. Restaurant chips & salsa upon sitting. Two very large Margaritas followed... Ordering a shrimp stir fry & 3 soft beef tacos! Delicious 😋 Was not rushed, and we were treated like royalty. Thank you for a fantastic afternoon.
This little spot is perfect for anyone in the BWI, Linthicum area. Two minutes from the hotels, plenty of parking, extremely fast service & incredible food 👌 I've randomly picked up carryout countless times over the years and they never miss 🌮 Tip them well if you can, they deserve it 💛
On vacation found this home away from home Mexican restaurant. We can honestly say this is the BEST place we have ever eaten. Believe me when I say we have eaten in alot of Mexican restaurant. Please go and try it. You will not be disappointed. The owners are the friendliest too, treated us like families.
Good service, delicious food, fresh ingredients. Everything could use a little more seasoning but overall a very authentic Mexican meal, well worth the price. Nice quiet location as well. The mixed fajita tasted very fresh, with tender meats. Menudo soup was very tasty and slightly spicy as it should be. Even the chicken fingers with fries for our daughter were delicious. Give it a try.
Great, great, great place for tacos and tortas!!! When it comes to a Mexican food, I get very picky and demanding. We ordered to go, had tacos, tortas and a slice of tres leches cake. The tacos were king, did not disappoint. It came with the works (chopped onion and cilantro with a side of radish, cucumber, lime and green onion), just the way we eat it at least in Mexico city 😋 The sopes comes in a order of 3, choose your poison of meat 😄, even though stull needs some improvements, it was a good dish and great size seving. The torta... well another amazing delicuos surprise. We got al pastor (pork marinated meat). The bread was perfect and so was everything they add to it. If you really would like to know how it's done, this is the place to try an authentic Mexican torta. Only downfall was... the tres leches, I was open to the idea to be surprised but they let me down with it. I was expecting a real delicious slice and it was only a piece of cake soaked in a mix of milk and condensed milk. Not the best pice I have tried, but will definitely come back to get some more tacos and tortas.
So I’ve eaten here a ton! For years now, and have never had any issues until today. I opened my box of food and removed the foil with the tortilla, and there it was the hair!! Ive never found hair in my food here so I was really surprised. I think it was on the foil that was sat on top of the food or something. Either way it’s pretty gross finding hair in your food. The hair was long and curly so I know it wasn’t mine since my hair was pin straight today. Plus it was literally there before I even had time to dig in to my food. I gave it three stars because I’ve eaten here so much and had no issues until today.
I have gone to this restaurant several times, especially since it's really close to my office. Their food is better than average, and the service is good. However, after I went today, I'm never going back. I understand that inflation happens and prices need to go up, but, they have taken this to a whole new level. I ordered chips and guacamole, which was $7.99, and the order was pretty small, and the guacamole was served on a 4oz container. I ordered salsa thinking it was complimentary, I was charged $2.99 for it. And a plain water bottle was $3.50. I don't mind paying for food, if Chipotle charged what they charged, Chipotle would go out of business. It's a shame, because their food is decent, but charging such prices for sides is ridiculous.
It was a horrible experiencei would never suggest anybody eat here. I walked in the lady was eating with her family in the front and actually what did I want by her family. Then I ordered the food we ordered a burrito. In some tacos, it was hardly any meat in the burrito. And I paid almost $30 for it. The man sneezes around the food while he was making it and I asked him to watch his hands when they got upset because after the washer's hand.
