Authentic Mexican panaderia. Moved here from Texas and this panaderia has a very warm feel. Bread is great, tamales were a bit dry but tasted good and they had lots of imported goods!
Thank you so much for putting together the 150 miniconchitas for our event photos with Santa. Your attention to detail and delicious creations truly made the event magical. The miniconchitas were a hit with everyone, adding a special touch to our festive photos. We couldn't have asked for better service or tastier treats. Highly recommend !! for any event or special occasion!
I wish we knew about La Esperanza Bakery sooner! As the only pañería close to my home in Des Plaines, La Esperanza is a hit! A gem that should be cherished and without a doubt overflowing with 5 star reviews. La pañería has a wonderful atmosphere. When you enter, it has that homey feel, the feeling of knowing that you are welcomed. Their food is delicious, the sweet bread is not over powering with sugar, just the right amount; and to top it off, their prices are fair. Would definitely recommend and will become a regular for here on out!
OK, so first off, the bread here brings me back to Mexico. It's ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I tried Tamales from La Esperanza for the first time today and WOW... I love my tamales verde in the banana leaf. I surprised my side of the office with the bread and a few with the tamales.... no complaints EVER.
I recently visited, and it was an absolute delight! The conchas were exceptional—soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Each bite was like a taste of Mexico. The other pastries were equally impressive, with a perfect balance of flavor that wasn't overly sweet. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put care into every baked good. If you're looking for an authentic Mexican bakery experience with flavors that aren't too overpowering, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Great prices, always fresh and never stale. There's always a wide variety from all kinds of desserts like churros and others. ~ I love this Mexican bakery! Isabel Mendez from Puerto Rico
Wow, this bakery was outstanding, fresh, clean and excellent customer service. Worked close by and wanted to treat my team with some Mexican style bakery items and also brought a box home to my family 👪 Everyone loved ❤ them both at work and family. Would highly recommend 👌 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ (out of 5)
This place doesn’t get enough credit. This bread stays fresh for about 6 days. When I go to a different bakery down the street, they last about 2 days then taste stale. I’ve tried 4 other bakeries and they are nothing compared to this. La Esperanza has some delicious breads and the best one for me is the croissants. Their cakes are very good and even their food is great. Tamales are delicious. My favorite tamales are the greens but they run out of those quick so get them while they last. People working are always nice.
My nail appointment next store was delayed, so I wandered in out of curiosity. Picked out a bunch of pastries to try, and was surprised how affordable it was! Other bakeries seem to charge twice as much for muffins, turnovers, croissants, etc. Had a taste of each when I got home, then went back later that same day to make up a tray to bring to a picnic later. Obsessed!
During my first visit to this bakery, I tried three items: a chocolate flan slice, a strawberry-and-cream Danish, and a regular churro. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The Danish was somewhat dry, and the fruit filling tasted more like pineapple than strawberry. The chocolate flan slice was also dry and lacked the moist, syrupy quality I enjoy. The churro had a distinct flavor of old cooking oil, which left a bad aftertaste. Additionally, the bakery is quite small and has a limited selection. Based on this visit, I don't plan on returning.
