Muir Coffee House La Jolla Reviews
This is my favorite coffee spot on campus. I want to say thank you to Edgar! He was so nice to answer my question and gave me a good recommendation! Nice coffee taste :)
Moms really opened up the space to have more tables and chairs inside. Great atmosphere to refresh or get some computer work done while on campus. My TARO latte was beautiful and yummy!
Had a phenomenal coffee and pastry from this classic example of a campus coffee shop. Bubbly college students behind the bar specifying the roast of the day, guiding me to the day-old pastry which I devoured... what more could I ask for? It was called a Crumbonne I believe and was essentially a muffin sized monkey bread, but 10x better than any monkey bread I’ve ever had.
One of the best (if not the best) coffee shops to get a quality espresso on campus. They use "Cafe Virtuoso" and they have a bunch of different types of it. Recommended.

Ultra kind, cozy, and full of love With delicious beverages of all kinds and a large variety of pastries snacks and anything else a college student may need. With a spread of outlets and a variety of seating arrangements I'm sure M.O.M. will fit any college students needs (as long as it's not already full in there by the time you get in)
Definitely the best coffee shop on campus! Everyone is so friendly, and it's spacious with a comfortable and chill atmosphere. My favorite place to study by far.
The prices are low and the 'muiristas' are excellent! Whenever I have the time between classes I'll stop by and grab coffee. My favorites are the Mocca Java & French Roast! Before I turned lactose intolerant I loved the dirty chai latte ~
This place has a very nice and distinct environment with nice coffee. Expect to socialize with someone nearby or maybe not cause they are studying. Baristas are very friendly too.
This is one of the best places to get coffee on campus. It's incredibly cozy, with tons of couches, chairs, and study nooks. The pastries are amazing and the iced teas are incredibly refreshing (and there are so many options). The staff is really nice and always has recommendations. This is a great place to study, meet up with friends, or just have a cup of coffee in the morning. Plus, you get a cute custom MoMs sticker with every order! :))
Best place ever. Most affordable coffee on campus. I yearn for an open MOM’s during the summer. 😔
This is a great place on campus. The coffee is excellent, the people who work here are friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is homey, but not too loud. Depending on where your classes are, it is also conveniently located, so you can grab something on your way to or from class, meetings, etc.
The best coffee shop on campus. Dining dollars NOT accepted. I usually go here once a week with friends to study/hang out. I usually get their drip coffee or iced Vietnamese coffee. I have tried many other things on the menu and have not had one drink that I did not like. It is a very warm and inviting atmosphere and the baristas are very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the ucsd campus.
MOM’s Cafe is perennial favorite among UC San Diego students. It’s the only student run cafe on campus. Feels like a true college cafe with couches, student art, laid back vibe. Some popular specialty drinks are designed by baristas with names like Self Love and Polar Bear. Curls & Swells Black beauty product store was recently opened in 2023. Easter egg: The Muir College time capsule is buried under a rock in the middle of the floor.
Love, love, love this place!! Cheaper prices than any other coffee shop on campus and really great drinks. Highly recommend the Polar Bear!! Baristas are always so nice and they give out stickers with orders!! It’s such a vibe. One of my fav places to study and just hang. It makes you forget your on campus 😂

Super crowded, especially at lunch time. I spent 30 mins to get a 16oz coffee 😨

Do you hate Geisel? Do you prefer a more ‘liberal arts college’ feel to your studying experience? If so, come here to study. In all seriousness, the cafe part is pretty good and they sometimes host events here in the evening, which can be fun. Only minus is it can definitely get busy!
Staff are usually super sweet and kind and the coffee is really good and made with care. Usually hard to find a decent table and very limited access to outlets.
A great place to get decent coffee and chill. The seating is very limited, the couches are sunken in (to the point where they're uncomfortable), the music is often distracting, and the environment is extremely loud. However, if you want to have coffee with friends, or plug in headphones and work, this is the place for you. This shop also often hosts small events which are nice to attend. If you're looking for the best coffee on campus, however, Muir Woods comes second to only The Art of Espresso.
An awesome hang out place on campus to also get some studying/work done. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is delicious, but ordering can sometimes take a while.

The coffee quality has gone downhill from last year. I have tried different flavors of coffee but they all taste extremely watered down now. So sad, I used to get coffee here at least three times a week. The atmosphere and employees are very chill though. The only positives.
